Reale Avintia Academy 77 Moto3 – GP of Valencia – Ricardo Tormo
In the true sense of the word, Reale Avintia Academy 77 rider Vicente Pérez will race at home this weekend. The Spanish rider lives just half an hour by car from the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, the place where he made his first steps in his riding career as a student of the Cuna de Campeones school.
Vicente Pérez competed in several Grand Prix as a wild-card entry before joining the team at the German Grand Prix. In his first nine races as a full time World Championship rider, the 21-year-old scored 16 points, with sixth place in Thailand as his best result. His good work has helped him to secure another season with the Reale Avintia Academy 77 team to compete in the Moto3 World Championship 2019.
This weekend in Valencia, Perez wants to score a strong result, rewarding the team for their trust in his talent. Even though the weather forecast is not very good for the weekend, he hopes to be fighting at the top during the practice sessions from Friday and within thepoint rankings in the race on Sunday .
The first free practice session will start on Friday at 9:00am. The last Moto3 race of the season will start on Sunday at 11:00am.
“I go to Valencia carrying the momentum from the overseas races. Although we could not score points in all the races, we have always been at a good level and this weekend I race at home, so I hope to do my best. I know the circuit very well and it suits my riding style very well. I only hope that the forecast is wrong and we will have dry conditions. But I’m looking forward to start and give the maximum in any condition.”
