Reale Avintia Academy – Dutch GP – Assen TT Circuit
Reale Avintia Academy and Livio Loi leave to Dutch track of Assen without scoring the result they had hoped for, after a very positive weekend during which Livio Loi felt comfortable with his KTM and had a perfect set-up.
The rider from Belgium started the Dutch GP from the seventeenth place on the grid and had a good rhythm, but couldn’t maintain this pace in the race and wasn’t able to battle with the front group of riders. Livio tried all race long to get good drive out of the corners, but the bike didn’t accelerate as well as usual and he lost many positions. Together with KTM, the team will now do a thorough check on all the bike components in order to find the problem, so this won’t happen again in the races to come.
The hard work of team and rider continues with the preparations for the Grand Prix of Germany, which takes place at Sachsenring from 13th to 15th of July.
“It was a very fast race and we had problems on the corner exits. The engine didn’t accelerate enough and as a consequence, I lost lots of time on the straights. It felt like losing the game time and time again exiting the corners. I tried to get in touch with the fast group in front of me, but whatever I gained on the brakes, I would lose in acceleration. It was tough to fight on, because I was constantly losing positions. Now we have to analyse why I lost that much time. All in all it wasn’t a bad weekend, but today something strange happened. Now we have to look ahead and think of the next race.”
