The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy completed the first two free practice sessions of the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón with a good feeling.

Niccolò Antonelli ended the first day 8th in the combined free practice times with a best time of 1:59.218. The Italian rider was fast from the morning session, where he finished in 3rd position. In the second free practice, he set his best time.

Carlos Tatay continued to recover his feelings during the first day at MotorLand Aragón. The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 rider was 20th fastest in the combined free practice times with a time of 1:59.825. Tomorrow, in the third free practice, Tatay will have another chance to achieve a time that will allow him the direct access to Q2.

Qualifying for the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón will start at 12:30 on Saturday, where Antonelli and Tatay will fight for a good starting position for Sunday’s race.

“Today went well. I’m happy because we did all the work we had to do and we tried everything we had to try. Anyway, tomorrow will be difficult because everyone will improve, but we have to try to keep a good pace and I’m sure we’ll make another step forward.”

“Today was not our best day. Now it’s time to see where we can improve for tomorrow, as we need to make a step forward. The feeling is not too bad, so we’ll keep working to have a good weekend.”
