Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy finished the Monster Energy British Grand Prix after a spectacular race for the team, where Antonelli crossed the finish line 2nd and Carlos Tatay 10th.

Niccolò Antonelli, who started from 5th position, moved up to 2nd in the early stages of the race. The Italian rider was able to impose a great pace together with Romano Fenati, and both were able to go away from the rest of the group. In the end, Antonelli scored 20 valuable points, his second podium of the season after the Doha Grand Prix.

Carlos Tatay added six more points. The Valencian rider was fighting for 10th place throughout the race in a large group of nine riders. In the last laps, Tatay gave some extra pace, getting a few tenths of advantage that allowed him to take a well-deserved 10th position.

After a very positive weekend for the team, the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and the Avintia VR46 Academy will head to MotorLand Aragón, where the Gran Premio TISSOT de Aragón will be held in two weeks’ time.

“It was a positive weekend because I finally got back on the bike and enjoyed it again. After the injury we suffered a lot, but step by step we worked and we managed to have a positive weekend overall. In the race I felt I had the pace to be in the first group, but a mistake in the first laps prevented me from being in that fight. Now it’s time to improve our weak points and continue our progress in Aragón.”

“I am very happy because it was an amazing podium. I’m happy, we did a great job with the team all weekend and we deserve this second position.”
