The track conditions at Losail International Circuit have been far from perfect today and, this was not the best for Reale Avintia Academy rider, Livio Loi, who struggled to find the pace and tomorrow will start the first race of 2018 season from the sixth row of the grid.
The aim of the Belgian rider was to take one more step in qualifying and get in the top ten. But the wind and bad track conditions he wasn’t able to get good feeling with his KTM and he couldn’t move forward with the set-up of the bike.
All the expectations of the team are now focused on the warm-up session, where they hope to find something that allows them to take a step forward and start the season with a good race.

“The end of the qualifying session was not easy for me and the conditions of the track were not optimal either. To be honest, the lap time I did at the end of the session wasn’t what I expected. Tomorrow we will try to improve the set-up of the bike during the warm-up session and, it will be important to do it. In the race there is usually a large group, so I hope to take a step tomorrow morning to be more comfortable with the bike and I’ll give my best to try to be in the top ten.
