Reale Avintia Academy rider Livio Loi got started the first Grand Prix of the season in Qatar with really good feelings. Livio set a lap in with a good start, 2’07.329, and finished the day 13th in the combined time sheets on Friday.

The Belgian rider focused during the first day of free practice in the set-up of his KTM, in order to get the best tomorrow in qualifying.

Livio declared himself satisfied with the work done on the first day at Losail and relies on tomorrow, to push even harder and get the best position on the grid for Sunday race.

“The day was good. We did many laps on used tyres to see where we can improve, because we have been struggling with to find the grip in these conditions. In the end I was able to set a good lap time, but we have to wait for the last free practice tomorrow to go one step further. Then in qualifying I’ll have to push more to try to be within the first three lines of the grid; this will be an important point for the race.
