The Brazilian rider from the Avintia Esponsorama Racing proved a high level along the weekend and finished the season in the best possible way.

In the first race of the weekend Granado got his first victory of the season and also the first for the Avintia Esponsorama Racing in the first season of MotoE. Granado, who started from Pole, had an intense battle for the victory with his rivals. Finally, he changed the rhythm with two laps to go and he could set a gap with the other riders to take the first victory.

Xavier Simeon got a fantastic 5th position but, after the disqualification of another rider, the Belgian steps up to 4th.

In the second race, Eric Granado shone again as he got the second victory in the same weekend. Even if he lost the first position in the first laps, the Brazilian from the Avintia Esponsorama Racing set fast laps and arrived in the place of the race leader, Bradley Smith. In the last laps he had to fight hard in order to get the second victory in a row of the season until the last corner of the last lap.

Unfortunately, Simeon crashed out in the first lap in an incident with antoher rider and he could not complete the sixth and last race of the season.

“We did a good job this weekend, I had good feeling with the bike. In the Sunday race I started good, but it was difficult to get the rhythm in the first laps because it was very cold and I had no grip but once the tired warmed up I could recover time to the leader and catch him. I’m happy for winning the second race of the weekend, it was a big fight and battling with Smith makes me even happier because he was a MotoGP rider and he has experience. That means that the championship has a high level and winning that way feels very special and getting the third position in the championship is even more special. Now it’s time to enjoy the victory and get ready for next year”.

“The weekend was not bad at all, in the first race I felt comfortable with the bike and I enjoyed it. Shame about the crash in the second one but that’s racing but I’m happy of how the year was.”

The Reale Avintia Arizona 77 rider brought his KTM inside the TOP15 in the GP de La Comunitat Valenciana held in Cheste that last race of the season held in the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana.

Nepa performed a phenomenal comeback from 27th in a race that was interrupted with red flag due to a multiple crash and it was reduced to 15 laps.

In the second start, Nepa managed to recover position and he even rode inside the Top10, keeping the big progression he is performing with the team in the last part of the season.

Finally, the Italian finished in 11th place his last race with the Reale Avintia Arizona77.

“It was quite a difficult race, the conditions were thug, the track was so slippery but at the end it was not bad at all. After the bad QP from Saturday, I could fight in the second group for the Top10 and I finished 11th. I’m disappointed because I believe it could have been better but can’t complain really. I must thank the whole Reale Avintia Team for giving me the chance to be back in the championship, to grow and show my potential. I also want to thank to my team: Luis, Jose, Jordi and Saul.”

The GP de la Comunitat Valenciana, the 19th race of the champsionship, saw how the 2019  MotoGP season came to an end.

In the last race of the season, the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders, Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham, made a good performance with a comeback that it’s worthy to recognition as they ended the year in good shape when the Reale Avintia Racing Team celebrated its 20th aniversary.

On one hand, Tito Rabat, that started 18th, crossed the finish line for the last time this year 11th recovering 7 positions.

In the other hand, Karel Abraham, who started 21st, also recovered 7 positions to finish in a fantastic 14th position.

The 2019 season came is already finished, but 2020 is around the corner and the following Tuesday and Wednesday the preseason test will kick of in the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana – Ricardo Tormo with the aim to prepare next year.

“It’s good to get these 2 points after suffering some technical problems specially in the first corner, that made my lose a lot of time in the beginning. I lost positions and I had to push to arrive to the top riders. From there on, I made a lonely race, I gave my best but Lorenzo was too far in front and Shyarin was too far behind so it was a difficult race to manage but at least I got two points”.

“It was a good race in general, we got some points as we finished 11th so I am happy and eager to start working for the 2020 season”.

This weekend will come to an end the first MotoE World Cup in the Circuit of the Valencian Community – Ricardo Tormo. The championship, which saw how a fire delayed its debut until June in Germany, has already compited 4 races in three different circuits: Sachsenring, Austria and Misano. In Valencia, Avintia Esponsorama Racing riders will race the last two races of the year, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.

The Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana was completed in 1999 and held rounds of the MotoGP and Spanish Motorcycle Championships in the same year. The Cheste track has several layouts, running anti-clockwise with varying lengths. MotoGP events are held on a 4km track comprising of five right handed corners, eight left handers and a 876m straight. Although the track is regarded as quite small, the pit complex contains 48 garages whilst the stadium style grandstands can seat up to 150,000 spectators. The circuit layout which allows all parts of the circuit to be seen from any stand helps to create a unique atmosphere enjoyed by Spanish and international riders alike and as the last race of the season there is always a party feeling to the Grand Prix, which was voted best GP of 2005 by IRTA.

With 50 points still to be given and everything to be decided, Xavier Simeon arrives in fifth position in the overall with 45 points only 8 points away of the second and 27 of the leader, Mateo Ferrari. The Belgian rider from the Avintia Esponsorama Racing has been on the podium twice this season, in Austria and in the first race of San Marino. However, Simeon arrives with doubts about how he will be on the bike in Valencia due to an injury suffered training for Bol d’Or in September, just after the San Marino GP.

Eric Granado, on the other hand, arrives in Valencia with his recent renewal for the 2020 season with Avintia Esponsorama Racing. The Brazilian has suffered this season more than expected in his adaptation to MotoE and, before the dispute of the Valencia races, arrives as 13th in the overall with 21 points. Granado won in the simulation race that was held in the Cheste circuit itself in mid-June so he arrives with high expectations since, if he performes well in both races, he could do a step forward in the tight middle zone of the classification.

“After the crash in Bol d’Or I don’t know how I will be physically this weekend. I tried everything on my part to be at my best and the truth is that I am very strong mentally and eager to fight that small possibility that we still have to be the first champion in the history of MotoE. We will try to fight for the podium and why not for the victory. The question mark will be to know how I will be on the bike, but when you put your helmet you often forget these things and I hope this time it will be like this too and I can do my best on the bike. ”

“I am quite motivated and happy. This time I am 100% physically and recovered from the shoulder injury. We race in Cheste this weekend, a circuit where we have very good memories and where we did very well in the test race. I hope to adapt to the conditions of the track that will probably be quite different from when we’ve been there by June time. I want to prepare for the races and get the best possible position on E-Pole, something very important because they are two races. I will give the maximum from the first training to the last race to finish the season in the best way ”.

After four races in Asia and Oceania in 6 weeks, the paddock returns to the old continent to close the season in the fourth race of the year on Spanish soil. The Cheste track has several designs, which run counterclockwise with different lengths. MotoGP races are carried out on a 4 km track consisting of five turns to the right, eight to the left and a straight of 876m. Being the last race of the season there is always a party feeling in the Grand Prix, which was voted best GP of 2005 by IRTA.

Tito Rabat could not finish the races of Japan and Australia due to a hand injury and did not participate in the last Malaysian GP. Fortunately, the Barcelona rider will be present at the GP of the Valencian Community in a circuit in which he won in 2015 when he competed in Moto2 and that, in his last participation in MotoGP in 2017, managed to finish in the Top10.

Karel Abraham, on the other hand, will try to reverse Malaysia’s bad luck in a circuit that saw him win in 2010 in the first year of the Moto2 category in the world championship.

“I am looking forward to finishing the season in the best way possible in a big way in front of Spanish fans here in Valencia.”

“The one in Valencia is always a strange race because, on the one hand, we are all tired and wanting to have some time to disconnect and enjoy the winter. On the other hand, it is sad because it is the last race of the season. However, I want to run because I have good memories of this GP and, in fact, here I won a race in Moto2”.

The Italian rider will do the last race with the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 team this weekend. After four races in Asia and Oceania in 6 weeks, the paddock returns to Europe as the season comes to an end in the fourth race of the year on Spanish soil. In the last races, Stefano Nepa has experienced an improvement in his performance and, although he has not been always lucky, he managed to finish in the TOP10 in 2 out of the 4 last races. Besides, the Italian will try to end the season with the best possible result in order to keep with his good progression in a circuit he knows well.

“We arrived in the last race, this second part of the championship has passed by very fast. It is a pity that it is the last GP, but it has been a very beautiful year so we will try to finish it as well as possible here in Valencia, a track that I know very well. I want to finish the year well and get a good result for both me and the team.”
