Avintia Esponsorama Racing lands this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, where the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini will host the final round of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup.

For the first time this season, the Grand Prix will be compound of two races, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

Xavi Cardelús is currently 18th in the world standing with 7 points. The Andorran rider will look to close the season with a good result to recover from the bad luck he has had on Sundays throughout the year.

André Pires is 16th with a total of 11 points. The Portuguese rider will close his first season in the MotoE World Cup at Misano after a year of learning, where he has made great steps ahead since the first round of the calendar so far.

The first free practice for the MotoE class of the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini will start on Friday at 8:20am.

“We are facing the last weekend of the year. We will keep working as we have been doing so far and I know it can be a great weekend. The goal is to do well, as we have been doing so far and, despite the fact that we haven’t finished on Sundays, we have shown a great level and speed all season. I’m motivated to finish the year as I think we deserve to do.”

“I am motivated for this race. I’m looking forward to getting to know the circuit as it’s new to me, so I’ll have to learn everything as quickly as possible. The most important thing is to enjoy myself on the bike and to have a good weekend to finish the season well.”

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia arrive this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, where the 14th round of the calendar, the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, will take place.

Enea Bastianini arrives at Misano 16th in the world standing with 45 points and after achieving his best result since his debut in the premier class at MotorLand Aragón. The Italian wants to repeat another good performance in front of his fans to continue getting important points.

Luca Marini is 20th with 28 points. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider, who had a difficult weekend at Aragón, wants to recover his good feeling this weekend and get a good result at his home Grand Prix.

The first free practice for the MotoGP class of the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini will start on Friday at 9:55am.

“We are at our home Grand Prix. We come from a very good race at Aragón, where we finished in an excellent 6th position. Misano is obviously a circuit I know very well and it’s 10 minutes from my home. This weekend I would like to continue like we did in the last race and it will certainly be a very special Grand Prix. We will try to go fast from the start to repeat another good result.”

“The Misano Grand Prix will be a special weekend for many reasons, certainly one of the most exciting of the whole season. We will work hard to make it one of the best races of the year. I want to have fun and entertain the crowd in the grandstands.”

The Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón has finished for the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and the Avintia VR46 Academy.

Niccolò Antonelli crossed the finish line in 5th position, after starting 8th. The Italian rider had a difficult start to the race, losing several positions and even running 19th. However, during the final stages of the race, Antonelli increased his pace and was finally able to catch the front group to score 11 more points.

Carlos Tatay suffered a crash and was unable to finish the race. The Valencian rider, who started from 20th position, had set himself the objective of coming back. Unfortunately, with 9 laps to go, Tatay lost control of his bike and couldn’t avoid crashing.

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy will head to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli next week for the 14th round of the calendar, the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

“The race went well, but it was a bit tricky. The start was difficult, as I had some stomach problems. During the race, we regained the feeling and the good pace, and fifth position is positive. We have to be happy, even if the podium was very close.”

“A weekend to forget. Things didn’t go the way we wanted, but we’ll keep the positives things and we’re already focused on Misano, where we’ll try to get a good result.”

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia completed the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón race.

Enea Bastianini, who crossed the finish line in a spectacular 6th position, achieved his best race result since his debut in the MotoGP class. The Italian had an intense fight in the third group of the race, from which he emerged victorious, and only 2 seconds separated him from the top 5.

Luca Marini had to settle for 20th position. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider had a difficult weekend overall and was unable to finish the race at MotorLand Aragón in the points.

Next week, the Avintia Esponsorama and the Sky VR46 Avintia will land at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

“It was a very enjoyable race. At the beginning I struggled in the corners, but from the middle of the race onwards I improved and from then on I started my comeback. It’s a pity that I lost a bit of time fighting with Quartararo and Nakagami, because maybe I could have caught Miller as well. Anyway, it was a race that exceeded my expectations. I think we showed great pace throughout the weekend and we’ll go to Misano in really motivated.”

“A very difficult race, I don’t have much more to say. A complicated weekend and a lot of work to do in order to make a step forward and be competitive for my home GP.”

Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy have completed the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón qualifying.

Antonelli will start the race at MotorLand Aragón 8th. The VR46 Academy rider got the direct access to Q2 after finishing 7th in the combined free practice times. His best qualifying time was 1:58.381.

Carlos Tatay will start from the 7th row of the grid. Unfortunately, the Valencian rider was unable to go through to Q2 after being affected by traffic on his fast laps during the session. Finally, Tatay will start 20th after a best lap time of 1:59.455.

Tomorrow at 11:00 the race of the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón will start, where Antonelli and Tatay will fight to continue scoring important points for the team.

Niccolò Antonelli | 1'58.381 | P8

“Today was a good day, maybe not perfect, but we worked well anyway. We are ready for the race, even we have to improve in some last details, but we are ready.”

Carlos Tatay | 1'59.455 | P20

“It was not our best day. I couldn’t close any really good laps and I couldn’t stick to the strategy we had for qualifying. Tomorrow will be another day, we will have to come back and from now on we have to focus on having a good race.”

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini will start the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón in 9th and 17th position respectively.

For the first time this season, Bastianini made it through to Q2 after being very competitive during free practice sessions. The Italian was 9th with a time of 1:47.278, his best qualifying position since his debut in the MotoGP class.

Luca Marini finished the qualifying session 17th with a best time of 1:47.741. With this grid position, the Sky VR46 Avintia rider will have a good chance to fight for points in the race.

Tomorrow at 14:00 the race of the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón will start, where Bastianini and Marini will be looking for a good result.

Enea Bastianini | 1'47.278 | P9

“I’m happy because it was my first Q2 of the season and I felt pretty good all day. It was a pity I couldn’t close the second fastest lap, plus I struggled a bit with the front tyre and didn’t get the time I wanted. Anyway, it’s good to start from the third row, and we showed a good pace in free practices as well, so I think we can have a good race tomorrow.”

Luca Marini | 1'47.741 | P17

“Compared to yesterday, we made a good step forward in the bike set-up. In FP4 I rode better and I was able to get closer to the group, although I would need one more day of work to be completely comfortable with the bike and to close the gap. In any case, we will continue to analyse the data to set up the electronics better and to be able to be consistent in long runs. I don’t think we will make any big changes in the warm up because it’s at a time when the track temperature is completely different to the race. We are still deciding which tyre to use tomorrow, most of the riders seem to be orientated with the hard front and the medium rear.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy completed the first two free practice sessions of the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón with a good feeling.

Niccolò Antonelli ended the first day 8th in the combined free practice times with a best time of 1:59.218. The Italian rider was fast from the morning session, where he finished in 3rd position. In the second free practice, he set his best time.

Carlos Tatay continued to recover his feelings during the first day at MotorLand Aragón. The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 rider was 20th fastest in the combined free practice times with a time of 1:59.825. Tomorrow, in the third free practice, Tatay will have another chance to achieve a time that will allow him the direct access to Q2.

Qualifying for the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón will start at 12:30 on Saturday, where Antonelli and Tatay will fight for a good starting position for Sunday’s race.

“Today went well. I’m happy because we did all the work we had to do and we tried everything we had to try. Anyway, tomorrow will be difficult because everyone will improve, but we have to try to keep a good pace and I’m sure we’ll make another step forward.”

“Today was not our best day. Now it’s time to see where we can improve for tomorrow, as we need to make a step forward. The feeling is not too bad, so we’ll keep working to have a good weekend.”

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini had a good Friday at MotorLand Aragón after the first two free practice sessions of the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón.

With a time of 1:48.086, Bastianini was 10th in the combined free practice times. The Italian was comfortable on his Ducati and, at the end of the first day, the Avintia Esponsorama rider is in direct access positions to Q2.

Luca Marini ended the first day at MotorLand Aragón 16th in the combined free practice times, with a best time of 1:48.456. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider was satisfied with the work done during the first day at Aragón.

Tomorrow will be the third and fourth free practice before the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón qualifying, where Bastianini and Marini will try to get a good position for the starting grid of Sunday’s race.

“It was a positive day, where I started off on the right foot. I was able to enjoy FP1, but in FP2 I didn’t feel quite comfortable, because I didn’t feel a good grip with the front tyre. Fortunately, the time attack was good and I managed to set a good time that allowed me to save the day. I had a good pace, but as I said, in the afternoon the feeling wasn’t the same as in the morning.”

“I’m happy with today. We worked well with the team, but it’s a pity I made too many mistakes on my time attack with the new tyre. Aragon is not an easy track and, compared to last year, it was a surprise to see a Ducati so competitive on this track. For tomorrow we will focus on the details, the electronics, the suspension, and then we will try to do a good FP4 to know which tyre to use for the race. For the moment, all three compounds seem to work well.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy will compete this weekend in the 13th round of the calendar, the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón at MotorLand Aragón.

Niccolò Antonelli arrives in Spain after a superb second place at Silverstone. The VR46 Academy rider is motivated to face a new weekend and to achieve another good result that will allow him to continue climbing positions in the standings.

Carlos Tatay, who crossed the finish line at Silverstone in 10th position, lands at MotorLand Aragón with the aim of taking advantage of his good form and repeating another good performance to continue progressing.

The Moto3 riders will have their first taste of the Aragon track this Friday at 9:00 for the first free practice session of the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón.

“We are very motivated after having enjoyed the weekend at Silverstone. We were able to make a step forward and I’m finally almost 100% recovered from my injury, so I think we can do a good job at Aragón. It has always been a track where I have been able to go fast, so we will work from the start to have a good weekend and continue the progression.”

“MotorLand Aragón is a track I really like, so I’m happy to be back here. The weekend at Silverstone was special because we got a podium in less than optimal conditions, so I’m very happy. Here, we will try to do a good job to stay as high as possible and fighting for the top five will be the goal this weekend.”

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia arrive this weekend at MotorLand Aragón, where the 13th round of the World Championship calendar, the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón, will take place.

Bastianini and Marini are back after a positive weekend at Silverstone. The Avintia Esponsorama rider managed to cross the finish line in 12th position, while Marini scored one more point after finishing 15th.

At MotorLand Aragón, both riders will have another opportunity to continue on their good form and continue to score important points for the team.

The action for the MotoGP riders at the Spanish track will get underway on Friday at 9:55 with the first free practice of the Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón.

“Aragón is a track I really like. At Silverstone last weekend we proved to be fast but I made too many mistakes, so I hope to have a good grand prix here. It’s a very particular circuit, it’s very important to find a good set-up and try to be fast during the whole race, because during the last laps the tyre is very consuming, so these factors will be very important.”

“Aragón is a very special track, although it is not one of my favourites on the calendar. Last year the Ducatis had problems here, so, I expect a difficult Grand Prix, although a lot has changed in 2021. It will all depend on the temperature we find and the tyres. We have to adapt as best as possible and as quickly as we can. The goal, as always, is to stay as close as possible to the Ducatis and score more points.”
