The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy finished the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Niccolò Antonelli was unable to turn pole position into victory. The Italian rider, who dominated most of the race, made a small mistake with 12 laps to go when he was in first position, which made him lose his chances of victory. In the end, Antonelli finished 6th.

Carlos Tatay was forced to retire with 11 laps to go before the chequered flag. The Valencian rider has suffered some pain from his ankle injury and was unable to finish the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix race.

Niccolò Antonelli and Carlos Tatay will now head to the Algarve International Circuit, where the Grande Prémio do Algarve, the penultimate round of the season, will be held in two weeks’ time.

“The start of the race was good and everything was going well. I made a small mistake and from that moment, the feeling with the rear was strange. From then on, I didn’t have the pace I had at the start of the race. It was difficult in general, as we hadn’t ridden in dry conditions all weekend. It was a lottery, but we still managed to get a good sixth position.”

“A complicated day. Halfway through the race I felt that my foot couldn’t take the effort, I started to lose mobility and I decided to retire. It wasn’t our weekend, but we’ll keep working for the two races to come.”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing and Sky VR46 Avintia completed the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Enea Bastianini did it again. The Italian, who started 16th after yesterday’s qualifying, made a remarkable comeback, which allowed him to cross the finish line in an excellent 3rd position. With this result, Bastianini has taken his second podium in the premier class, after the one he achieved at Misano circuit in the last San Marino Grand Prix.

Luca Marini achieved another great result, 9th in his home Grand Prix. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider got a good pace throughout the race, which allowed him to finish inside the top 10 and score 7 more points after a very complete weekend for him.

After a very positive Grand Prix for the team, Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini will head to the Algarve International Circuit, where the Grande Prémio do Algarve, the penultimate round of the season, will take place in two weeks’ time.

“Until Saturday, it was a terrible weekend for me. I was not happy with Friday and Saturday, especially FP4 and qualifying, where I had too many crashes. This morning, I started to find the right feeling and I managed to go fast without going to the limit. From the first lap, I felt comfortable and I had enough pace to be able to move up and gain positions. It was an unexpected result, but it’s great to repeat this third position in Misano. I want to congratulate Quartararo for the title.”

“I can’t be completely satisfied with today’s result, even though we finished in the top 10 and made a big step forward compared to Misano 1. It was a weekend and a race where we won a lot of experience in the group and understood exactly where we need to improve with the whole team. We are on a good growth trend, we have to keep it up for the next two races and aim for another step forward. It was a great GP for the team, for Ducati, for VR46 and Vale. I followed the pace of the strongest group from free practice to today.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy riders successfully completed the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna qualifying, on another rainy day at the Italian track.

Niccolò Antonelli took his first pole position of the season, making a big difference to his rivals. The Italian, who had to go through Q1, closed his best lap with a time of 1:48.563, more than 6 tenths off the second placed rider. The Avintia VR46 Academy rider will start from 1st position in front of his home crowd.

Carlos Tatay, on the other hand, will start the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix race from 21st position, as he was unable to make the cut in Q1.

Tomorrow at 11:00 the race of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna will start, where Antonelli and Tatay will try to cross the finish line in a good position.

“Since I got on the bike I had a good feeling. In these mixed conditions I felt confident and I set myself the goal of going for pole position. I’m very happy to get this result at my home Grand Prix, it’s always nice to do it.”

“It was a difficult day with these weather conditions and with the asphalt so complicated. However, we got experience, we know where to improve and I felt comfortable on the bike. We were very close to make it through to Q2 as I was able to set a good time. It’s time to focus on the race, we know we have potential and I think we can do well. Tomorrow we will have to give our 100%.”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing and Sky VR46 Avintia finished the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna qualifying, which was held in dry conditions but with very tricky track conditions.

Enea Bastianini had a difficult Saturday. After suffering a couple of crashes in FP4, the mechanics were able to get the bike ready for qualifying. In Q1, when he was trying to get a good lap time to get into Q2, he crashed again. Finally, Bastianini will start from the 6th row of the grid.

Luca Marini took an excellent 3rd position in his home Grand Prix, his best qualifying result of the season. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider made it through to Q2 after finishing in the top 10 in the combined practice times after the three free practice sessions. In qualifying, the Italian was able to get the most out of his Ducati, which will allow him to start the race at Misano from the front row of the grid.

Tomorrow at 14:00 the race of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna will start, where Bastianini and Marini will try to cross the finish line in a good position.

“It was a strange day for me. In the morning it was very difficult to set a fast lap and in FP4 and qualifying my feeling on the bike was not good at all. It was impossible to push and I had three crashes, two of them really strange because it was because the cold tyre and I lost the rear. In qualifying I tried to get the best time I could, but in the sixth corner I lost the front and crashed. In general, the asphalt was very difficult. Tomorrow the weather is likely to be better, so we will wait to decide on the tyres.”

“I am very happy with today’s result in front of the Italian fans. It will be exciting to be on the front row in MotoGP for the first time and also difficult, but I am happy. It has not been an easy season so far, but with the team and all the staff we have done a great job. I have a lot of people to thank and to share this moment with. I’ve had a good feeling and every time I’ve had a good feeling with the bike I’ve always been fast. Since the Misano test I have improved my riding position, I have made a step forward in the set-up and I have been able to focus on my style. Ducati supported me and tomorrow I will do my best to be on the same level as the strongest riders. Thanks to the whole team and thanks to Ducati!”

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia completed the first day of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna, where rain was the main protagonist at the Misano circuit.

Enea Bastianini was 12th in the combined practice times with a time of 1:42.842, achieved in the afternoon session. In the second free practice, the track conditions improved compared to the first one, which allowed a notable improvement in the times.

Luca Marini finished the first day 6th with a best time of 1:42.601. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider has done a great job since the morning, and allows him to place himself in positions of direct access to Q2, waiting to dispute the third free practice.

Tomorrow at 9:55 a.m. the third free practice of the premier class will start, followed by the fourth free practice and qualifying of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna.

“It was a positive day and I’m happy with my performance. It was a pity because for 40 thousandths I’m out of Q2, I still have to improve in wet conditions. In FP2 we made a small step forward and finally I finished 12th. When the track dried up I felt more comfortable on the bike, even so, everything was very tricky. Overall I’m happy with my first day in Misano and tomorrow we will try to improve to be in Q2.”

“I am very happy with today, I had a very good feeling in the wet and also in the final part of the second session with the drier track. The last lap was good and I only had one attempt after the tyre change. The initial plan was to go out on the soft tyre, but the track was already dry and I went back in at the last moment to put on the medium one. I didn’t make any mistakes and I got a good lap time that will be useful for me tomorrow if it continues to rain in FP3.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy riders completed the first day of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna in a rainy day.

In the morning practice, Niccolò Antonelli was 10th with a time of 1:53.892. For his part, Carlos Tatay finished 21st, stopping the clock at 1:55.083.

In the afternoon, Antonelli improved his times and set the 4th best time of the session, which allows him to place 6th in the combined practice times after the first day. On the other hand, Tatay made a small step forward and the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 rider was 20th.

Tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. the third free practice will be held, before to the qualifying session of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna.

“Today in the wet was a positive day. We don’t know tomorrow’s conditions, while Sunday looks like good weather. The goal for qualifying will be to try to get the best possible result to have a good position for Sunday’s race.”

“It was a complicated day because of the track conditions, but I really enjoyed myself on the bike. I felt comfortable and we were able to work on our own. Tomorrow will be another day, we’ll see what conditions await us and we’ll keep working for the race.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy will compete this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for the 16th round of the Moto3 World Championship calendar, the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna.

Niccolò Antonelli is currently 7th in the world standings with 119 points and arrives in Misano after finishing 15th in the race at the Grand Prix of the Americas. The Italian rider will once again face his home Grand Prix and will be looking for a good result in front of the Italian crowd.

Carlos Tatay is 22nd with 28 points. In Austin, the Spanish rider was unable to cross the finish line in the points and, in Misano, he will be looking to reverse the situation and get a good result.

Tomorrow at 9:00 am, Antonelli and Tatay will contest the first free practice of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna.

“I am very happy to be back in Misano. The first weekend was very good for us, but now everything will be different, so we will have to start almost from zero. We will be looking to do a good job from the first day, focusing on the race. Qualifying will be very important to get a good position to start at the front and to try to get a good result on Sunday.”

“We are really looking forward to this weekend after the atypical race we had in Austin. We have recharged our batteries during these two weeks and we are training very hard. We’ll try to enjoy the weekend at a circuit that I’ve been good at and that we finished with a good taste a month ago”.

Avintia Esponsorama Racing and Sky VR46 Avintia arrive this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, for the second time this season, for the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna, the 16th round of the calendar.

Enea Bastianini achieved another great result in Austin, crossing the finish line in 6th position. The Avintia Esponsorama Racing rider arrives motivated to Misano and will be looking for a good position in his home Grand Prix to get closer to the goal of being the rookie of the season in the premier class.

For his part, Luca Marini was able to return to the points after his best qualifying position of the season in the United States. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider will try to consolidate his good feeling in front of his home crowd.

Tomorrow from 9:55am Bastianini and Marini will contest the first free practice of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna.

“We are back in Misano. It’s a little bit colder, which will make it a different weekend from the last time we were here. We have to try to start from zero with the set up of the bike. We had a good race in Austin, so we come here with a good feeling and we have a good base to work on. We will try to be consistent to have a good qualifying on Saturday and prepare for the race, which is important to be able to start as far up front as possible.”

“I am happy to be back in Misano. The home Grand Prix is always special and coming here having already raced a race and having a base from which to start is positive. It wasn’t an easy weekend at the beginning of September, but we were able to work hard in the two days of testing after the race. We will try to build on that and have a good weekend.”

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia finished the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas race, with both riders crossing the finish line in the points zone.

Enea Bastianini made a remarkable comeback. The Italian rider, who failed to close a good lap in qualifying, started 16th. After a good start, Bastianini was able to recover positions thanks to a great pace, to finish in a superb 6th position, getting another great result for him and for the team.

For his part, Luca Marini was able to return to the points positions in Austin. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider, who started 9th, lost a few positions at the start after the funnel at the first corner. From there, the Italian managed to hold on to a good 14th position, which allows him to score two more points.

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia will return to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in three weeks’ time for the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna.

“It was another unexpected result. Yesterday we had a difficult day, but we knew that our potential on this track was quite high. I had a good race, and in the first laps I tried to recover some positions. I didn’t know if I would arrive to the end of the race, because I went to the maximum and it’s a really tough track. On the last lap I managed to overtake Mir and Miller and it was a lot of fun. We knew we could fight for the top 10, but we didn’t expect to get this 6th. Another great result and we will try to keep it going.”

“In the race we had a bit of the same problems as in the last races and that didn’t allow me to make the difference I would have liked in terms of riding. Overall it was a positive weekend, we have to be happy with the whole team for the progress we have made since Misano. I struggled a lot physically, it was a long race and I struggled to ride the way I wanted to be faster.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy finished the weekend in Austin after completing the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas race at the Circuit of the Americas.

It was a chaotic Sunday for the Moto3 riders, where a red flag with 10 laps to go led to a second sprint race.

During the first race, the first of the red flags appeared due to a crash for Filip Salac. After several minutes of waiting, the action resumed in a second race with 5 laps to go. Two laps later, a heavy multiple crash, where fortunately all the riders involved were OK, caused the second red flag of the day. Finally, the race direction determined that the final results were the positions of the first race.

Niccolò Antonelli, who had a difficult Sunday, was 15th. The VR46 Academy rider lost several positions in the opening laps. In his attempt to comeback, he crashed in the first corner when he was 15th, just before the red flag came out. Antonelli recovered the bike and the mechanics fixed the damage so that he could start the second race. For his part, Carlos Tatay was unable to reach the points after finishing 18th.

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy will return to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in three weeks’ time for the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna.

“I am not very happy. At the beginning some of the riders behind us didn’t think about the race and we lost a lot of positions. I tried to get back into the group but the red flag came out. In the second race we were doing a good job, but there was another red flag again. In the end the results of the first race were worth it and I finished 15th.”

“The weekend didn’t go the way we wanted it to. It was hard and we struggled a lot. In FP2 we lost a lot of time and, on a circuit that was new to me, it hurt me. Looking ahead to Misano, we know where we need to improve, so we will keep working and I’m sure good results will come.”
