Karel Abraham leaves the Italian Grand Prix satisfied with the work done while Tito Rabat is forced to abandon.

After a very positive weekend, Tito Rabat faced the race with hope and optimism. The Italian Grand Prix brought the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders the direct path to good results. On Saturday in the QP, Rabat marked his best grid result so far this season, 14th, coming to fight face to face with the official Ducatis. But the good way has been truncated by the electronic problems that Tito Rabat has suffered at the start of the race. Having to start from Pit Lane, Tito was forced to abandon the race after the first lap.

The face of this Grand Prix for the Reale Avintia Racing team was the Czech, Karel Abraham. Karel left from the 16th position and although the hard conditions of the track he faced the race with positivity. With the temperature of the track so high, the race was hard. In spite of the drawbacks, Abraham has been able to get over himself and overcome the challenges. Thanks to all the team’s work and perseverance, Abraham has managed to enter the points zone for the first time this season and is happy to Mugello.

”Happy because we have found the way with the bike, because we can be competitive and fight with the best but frustrated by the problem today. Now we just have to think about Montmeló”

”To be honest the race was almost what I expected. I knew that we are capable to fight for the point today I knew we were strong same as Le Mans but it didn´t work. But I know also very well that the conditions changed for the race today, the track was hot, the air was hot this means it will be a lot more difficult for the tyres, for the bike but also for the rider. For me especially because I do not like hot conditions. After the start of the race it was not very good in identity very well with the tyres, because the front and the rear was slaiding quite a lot. But after a 4 laps I took the confidence and the bike work better. And I stay to overtake everybody. The race was very hard. I knew my tyres were dropping specially in the end but I could see everybody stay was dropping because I start to catch the otherones. So I was very good finally we made 2 points I think we deserve because we work really hard all weekend. And all my team we deserve the points, thank you very much to everyone. I´m super happy we ended finally the weekend like this”

After an unfortunate Grand Prix of France, where the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders have not completed the race, they arrive in Italy to obtain better results. The Oakley Grand Prix of Italy will be the 6th race  of the season and the 3rd in Europe. Although the results of the first races, Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham arrive excited before a track that they like and willing to achieve results.

The Mugello Circuit seduces the riders of the Reale Avintia as they consider it a circuit where they can be favored thanks to their fast corners and their long straight. Without a doubt, Rabat and Abraham only have that goal in mind, and it is to get on their Ducati in Mugello and score the best possible result.

”With much desire as always to get to Mugello. With clear ideas to do the best possible. Now the following races are circuits that favor the Ducati, both Mugello and Montmelo. We are going to work from the beginning to find the way and be able to take a step forward”

‘Mugello is a very beautiful track I think one of the tracks that fits me quite well with the fast corners which is really nice so I’m looking forward to get to mugello. The weather is also kind of tricky, it can be very hot and can be even rainy so hopefully it will be again around 20 degrees which is perfect for me’

Black weekend for the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders. Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham have been forced to abandon the race of the French Grand Prix, after suffering the ’53’ a mechanical problem and the black flag of Abraham.

A race that has been truncated before starting. In the warm-up lap, Karel Abraham went down with Joan Mir. Despite the setback, the Czech driver managed to start the race from Pit Lane after the first lap was completed, a fact that caused the black flag for Abraham to violate the rules of departure from the Pit Lane.

Luck has not accompanied Tito Rabat in the Grand Prix of France. The Catalan who started from the 20th position could not complete the Warm Up Lap. A mechanical problem truncated Tito’s aspirations despite improving the feeling of the rear tyre.

”A pity weekend because they have been mixed conditions. We continue to suffer from rear tyre. Although I could not finish the Warm Up neither the race I felt good with the rear wheel. Every time I go feeling better, I’m getting feeling well with the rear wheel and the problems go past so this is a good sign. I´m very frustrated”

”The weekend was pretty good. We were happy to make a good qualifying and I felt very confident before the race to fight to enter the points zone. I think we could have done it but on the warm-up lap I went straight and I fell. I think that behind me Joan Mir also went to the ground. It has been all very strange. Now my back and head hurts because of the fall. I’m disappointed, really upset because I knew we could get a couple of points in this race instead we go with a big zero again. We can not do anything until the next appointment in Mugello ”

The riders of the Reale Avintia Racing Team land in France with the aim of improving the last results of the previous Grand Prix.

After a few days of rest, the Spanish rider Tito Rabat and the czech, Karel Abraham face the ‘Shark Helmets French Grand Prix’ for progress in their work with the Ducati and the team. After two consecutive races with the same result for both drivers, the mission now is to set a better pace and improve in the classification.

[pilot id = “7001”] ” After picking up a point in Texas and in Jerez, we’re going to get a little closer, we’re closer to the head. This Grand Prix I reach with more confidence and better physical conditions. We knowing more and we better working with the team. The priority is to improve the results, try to improve in the QP on Saturday and improve on Sunday in the start and make a good race. I face this Grand Prix of France motivated, with much desire to do well”

[driver id = “11889”] ” I really want to ride here on the Le Mans circuit again. I hope the weather is good. Le Mans is one of the most famous and important tracks in history. I’m really excited to be here again and I hope the weather stays as it is today, nice and sunny. I hope we can improve this weekend.”

The Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez leaves the Reale Avintia riders with a taste of success. Despite Tito Rabat managing to secure a point after finishing in the 15th position, his partner Karel Abraham crossed the finish line just behind him.

The Spanish Grand Prix started for the riders with the clear objective of getting the best set-up of their Ducatis. Despite the tireless effort of the Spanish, Tito Rabat and the Czech, Karel Abraham, both riders started on the 20th and 21st position of the starting grid on Sunday.

After a difficult situation in which the two riders were riding together, Tito managed to jump to the 15th position while Abraham stayed on the 16th position. A very similar race for the team to the GP of the Americas, in which Abraham made several mistakes that resolved in him staying behind his teammate Rabat.

This race has been, undoubtedly, one in which they have gained a deeper understanding of their motorbikes and made them make progress in their set-ups and breaking, and the riders will definitely put these into practice in the next Grand Prix, in Le Mans.

”Well, after a complicated weekend we understood a lot of things, we improved the grip. Now the goal is to make the bike a bit more agile during the race so that we can reach a final race with more strength, pillar a slightly higher pace with less effort. But well, I have been very important to this point, at least one point is going well. Looking forward to the test tomorrow, we will work on the bike, continue working on braking and level up ”

”I am very angry. There are already two races in a row in the same position, 16th. It is a shame.I made a mistake on the start and I had to start with the second gear so that was really bad. And it’s imposible to pull back to first gear so I had to do the second gear. In any case, the first lap was good, the first part of the race was good, so Tito overtook me, it was still good, but unfortunately I started losing the lead and made two mistakes in turn 6. Then Tito opened a lot distance When I made a mistake and then squeezed, but I kept the same part of Tito, but I could not cut it, it was very hard”

Jerez is the race to which I come better with a difference from the races so far. We run at home, it seems that it will be good weather and I am super motivated. My mechanics boss, Jarno is also very motivated and here we are going to try to take that step that we lack”

[pilot id = “11889”] ” It´s our first european round this year so I´m looking forward to it. I´m quite curious to see what the race track looks like after they made the new asfalt so I´m quite excited but I like the layout so I think it´s going to be an interesting weekend for sure”

The race weekend in Austin was affected on Saturday due to the heavy rain that fell on the Texas track that caused the free practice to be canceled and the qualifying delayed. With a less session of test for all the riders, Sunday dawned a splendid day of races in C.O.T.A. that Tito took advantage of already from the Warm up to put his bike in perfect conditions for the race, after a Saturday in which the rider of the Reale Avintia couldn’t find a good set-up that left him in the twentieth second position of Starting Grid. But Tito is a tireless fighter and managed to cross the finish line in the tenth fifth position achieving his first point of the season.
Karel Abraham was just behind his teammate, he was fighting with Tito all the race. The goals are getting closer and again progressing and improving the previous race.

“ The first points of the year, we have been able to see many things, especially at the end of the race, now we have to wait for Jerez, we have two weeks to strengthen the leg and there we will do even better”
“ I’m a little disappointed. The weekend was pretty good, we were quite strong during the race being very consistent all the laps and at the end we were even faster, practically the whole race I did with Tito, but of course I’m disappointed because I made my best race lap in the last lap but I couldn’t overtake Tito who gets the first point for the team. The next race I will try to do it even better and get points. I’m really disappointed with myself because I tried hard and I couldn’t get it, but I’m sure that in the next race we’ll get it”

MotoGP Test Jerez – Jerez Circuit

Reale Avintia Racing riders, Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham, completed a successful two-day-test at the Angel Nieto – Jerez Circuit. This was the final test of 2018 MotoGP season and, although the riders had to wait for more track temperature every day, the weather was sunny and warm in the South of Spain.

Tito Rabat did 113 laps in the course of the test at the 4,4 km circuit and he finished 14th in the combined time sheets with a best lap time of 1’38.876, only 0.9s from the fastest rider of the test. Big respect for Tito, as he showed a great determination to get back on the bike as he uses crutches to walk and he still recovering from multiple fractures on his right leg. Rabat highlighted the potential of his new Ducati GP18 and he is confident of his package to be fighting at the top next season.

Reale Avintia Racing new rider, Karel Abraham, had some pain in one foot from a training incident, and he was not able to complete too many laps, but the Czech rider is happy with the work done these two days and he could test many positive things on the bike. He did a step forward with the bike and adapted to his new team crew.

Rabat and Abraham will have to wait until February 6th to back on track. This will be the first of three days of testing at Sepang that will open 2019 MotoGP winter test schedule.

“The test was very positive because we managed to finish within a second from the fastest rider and, considering my physical condition it is not so bad. I also understood my new bike better and I think we have a bike with a big potential. The team did a master job during the test and, with this bike and this team we have a very competitive package to be fighting for better results next season. Now we have to get stronger during the winter break.”

“I think it was a very good and productive two days of testing. Today we did manage to make another step forward to go faster and be more consistent, which is important for us. It was the last test of the season and I felt good, we were fast, we did not crash and everything we tried has worked in the right direction. Now holidays, that will be good to refresh and work to get back stronger for the first test of the year in Sepang.”

MotoGP Test Valencia – Ricardo Tormo

Reale Avintia Racing riders Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham, completed the first test for 2019 with positive feelings at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia today.

The riders had to wait for dry conditions again, as the asphalt of the 4,005 m track was full of wet patches. But once the action started for Rabat and Abraham, the work of the team progressed consistently. Tito Rabat rode 59 laps with his new Ducati GP18 and finished the test 15th overall. He improved his best lap from the first day by almost one second and he left Valencia only 1.1s behind the fastest time.

His new teammate Karel Abraham continued to familiarise himself with the team and to adapt to his new Ducati GP18, a bike quite different from the one he rode until last Sunday. Abraham also improved his pace from the first day and wants to progress even more at the next two days of testing at Jerez.

Next week, Reale Avintia will continue the winter test program at the Angel Nieto Circuit in Jerez, at the second official MotoGP test for 2019 season.

“This was a positive test. We did a good job, we were calm and I used every lap to learn more about the new bike and some new staff members in my team. I’m very happy about this test and I’m in love with my Ducati GP18. The bike turns better and the power is incredible. Now we have to keep working in the same way at Jerez next week”.

“Today we did a lot of work and we were able to test many things on the bike, but we have more to do next week in Jerez, where we will double-check the set-up base that we established. We know the potential of the bike is much higher than our position in the time sheets today, so we have to work hard to get the best out of this machine. That’s why I’m not completely happy. But the first connection with the team is good and I’m sure we will improve during the winter test to get to the maximum before the season starts in Qatar”.

MotoGP Test Valencia – Ricardo Tormo

The 2019 season started for Reale Avintia Racing riders Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham today at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Spain.

It was a very special day of testing for Rabat this as he made his comeback on a MotoGP bike almost three months later his leg injury at Silverstone. The Spanish rider went step by step and his feelings with his Ducati GP18 were very positive. Rabat completed 36 laps and finished just 1.4s behind the fastest rider. He will be back on track tomorrow to continue working and adapting to his new bike.

Karel Abraham’s debut with Reale Avintia Racing was also positive and his feelings with his Ducati GP18 were great. The Czech rider is convinced of this bike’s big potential and he was full of praise for the work of the team. The first day was just a shakedown to get to know his technical crew and the first contact was encouraging. Abraham finished 20th and just 1.8s behind the fastest lap time of the day.

“Today was a good first contact with my bike and the team after too much time at home. We did a good job and the only negative point was that it started to rain in the afternoon. But I’m happy, we finished the first day 1.4s from the top, which is much more than I had expected. I can see that the bike has huge potential, which makes me very optimistic for the upcoming season. The plan tomorrow is to continue working to improve and get closer. I still miss strength in my right leg, but I knew that before I came here. Even though riding is painful sometimes, we need these two tests here in Valencia and then in Jerez to get the leg stronger and get some rhythm. This morning before the start I was afraid how it would all go, but then the day was good and I’m looking forward to ride again tomorrow”.

“The first day couldn’t have been better! The bike is really good and very different from the one I’ve been riding before. We have many things to set and change to adapt the bike to my demands, but unfortunately it started to rain when I was on my fastest lap. The most important thing is that I’ve improved at every exit and the goal tomorrow is to continue this way. I’m excited about the team and the bike and I’m very optimistic. The team is new for me, we still have to make some adjustments, but overall the first day has been good in all aspects”.
