The Qatar circuit adapts very well to the bike and I love running at night, I would say it’s the perfect situation to start the season.”

It is not an easy category, but I hope to be able to achieve satisfactory results for the second race, in which it will be more important and essential to show progress.

Avintia Esponsorama Racing finished the San Marino Grand Prix race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli with Eric Granado and Xavi Cardelús in 10th and 14th position respectively.

Despite the fact that Eric Granado’s race was conditioned by the penalty he received during the E-Pole, he has been able to complete an insane comeback. In the first lap the Brazilian rider was able to recover up five positions, but due to the few laps offered by the races in this category, finally Granado could not pass from the 10th position, adding six points very hard fought.

Xavi Cardelús has closed a weekend where he has managed to go from less to more and take a step forward. In spite of losing three positions during the initial lap, the Andorran rider has managed to move up in the classification managing to add two important points after crossing the finish line in 14th place.

Next week the second San Marino Grand Prix will be held at the same Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, where Avintia Esponsorama Racing will fight to return to the positions it deserves.

“I already knew the race would be very difficult when I started last. I couldn’t do much in such a short race, but I did what I could. The race got a little complicated at the end, I found a group that slowed me down by not being able to overtake, but I preferred to save points and not take risks. I’m far from where I would like to be, I know this is not my position, but now it’s time to think about the next weekend”.

“Bittersweet taste as the two mistakes I made in the first few laps have really hurt me. Once I was able to focus I was able I rode faster than the group in front of me, and even better than my fastest lap of the weekend. I’m happy about this and looking forward to improving next weekend”.

The Reale Avintia Moto3 team finished the Andalucia Grand Prix with a positive weekend for the team. Carlos Tatay scored the first points of the season at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto circuit by crossing the finish line in 13th position.

After the great performance during the qualifying session, the Valencian rider of the Reale Avintia Moto3 started the third race of the World Championship from the fourth line of the grid. Thanks to a great start, Carlos Tatay was able to move up to seventh position. After showing a constant rhythm and keeping a great part of the race in the second group, Tatay finally managed to add his first three points of the season, staying less than two seconds away from the ‘top-10’.

Reale Avintia Moto3 will take on the next round of the season at the Automotodrom Brno on August 7th, 8th and 9th.

“A very positive Sunday, I am satisfied with all the work that we have done. In the race I lacked a bit, especially in braking, to be with the front group, so we will continue working on our weak points to continue taking steps forward. Thanks to the team for all the work each race does.”

The Reale Avintia Racing Team is pleased to announce that Johann Zarco will be the rider to race with Tito Rabat at the next MotoGP World Championship in 2020. The Ducati satellite team will be joined by two track engineers and two Ducati Corse electronics that will follow the activity of the two riders of the Demosedici GP19 throughout the coming season. Zarco, two-time Moto2 World Champion, has signed a one-year agreement directly with Ducati and will be on track for the next season for the first time in the winter tests scheduled at Sepang from 7 to 9 February.

Raúl Romero, owner of the Reale Avintia Racing Team:

“I am really happy and excited with the arrival of a great rider like Johann Zarco to our team from the hand of Ducati. This further strengthens the growth of the team after extending the contract with the Manufacter of Borgo Panigale, making a leap of quality in terms of material by becoming a satellite team. All this package will allow to reflect in the circuits the effort of the structure in the last years. We hope to see Johann and Tito assiduously in the top ten and become a reference team soon. Finally, we would like to thank all our sponsors for their efforts in recent years, without them this would not have been possible.”

Johann Zarco has commented on his new challenge:

“I am very pleased to officially announce my signature with Ducati for 2020 season in MotoGP category racing in the Reale Avintia Racing Team. My left ankle is recovering well, I can enjoy now my winter time having rest with family and training again very soon!”

The Reale Avintia Racing Team will face this weekend the third race in a row as it lands in the Sepang International Circuit for the Malaysian GP, the 18th GP of the season and the last one of this year’s overseas.

Specifically built for speed and exciting racing, the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia is one of the world’s best. The 2,300-acre complex which also houses a hotel, shopping centre, golf course and other sports facilities cost around £50m to construct and was built in just 14 months, holding its first Grand Prix in April 1999 and setting the standard for race circuits worldwide.

The circuit has a length of 5,5km linked by 5 left and 10 right hand corners and two long straights. With four slow corners following two long straights and ten medium to high-speed corners, the wide track is particularly favourable to overtaking manoeuvres and plenty of open throttle. One of the longest laps in MotoGP is made all the more gruelling for riders by intense heat and humidity. Sepang is located around 50km south of Kuala Lumpur city.

Last time out in the Australian GP, the Reale Avintia Racing Team left the Phillip Island circuit with a bittersweet feeling. On the one hand, Karel Abraham managed to finish in the points as he crossed the finish line 14th. On the other hand, Tito Rabat was forced to retire from the race because of the pain in his right hand and won’t be racing in Sepang with the aim to start his rehab in order to arrive in the best physical conditions in the GP de la Comunitat Valenciana and the following preseason tests.

“Our last race was very good and I am very happy about it. I hope to return to work in the same way here in Sepang, a circuit that is not easy for me because it is often very hot, and humidity and I don’t like that. However, I like the layout, I think I adapt well, and I have good memories of races and tests that I have done throughout my career. ”

Karel Abraham leaves the Italian Grand Prix satisfied with the work done while Tito Rabat is forced to abandon.

After a very positive weekend, Tito Rabat faced the race with hope and optimism. The Italian Grand Prix brought the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders the direct path to good results. On Saturday in the QP, Rabat marked his best grid result so far this season, 14th, coming to fight face to face with the official Ducatis. But the good way has been truncated by the electronic problems that Tito Rabat has suffered at the start of the race. Having to start from Pit Lane, Tito was forced to abandon the race after the first lap.

The face of this Grand Prix for the Reale Avintia Racing team was the Czech, Karel Abraham. Karel left from the 16th position and although the hard conditions of the track he faced the race with positivity. With the temperature of the track so high, the race was hard. In spite of the drawbacks, Abraham has been able to get over himself and overcome the challenges. Thanks to all the team’s work and perseverance, Abraham has managed to enter the points zone for the first time this season and is happy to Mugello.

”Happy because we have found the way with the bike, because we can be competitive and fight with the best but frustrated by the problem today. Now we just have to think about Montmeló”

”To be honest the race was almost what I expected. I knew that we are capable to fight for the point today I knew we were strong same as Le Mans but it didn´t work. But I know also very well that the conditions changed for the race today, the track was hot, the air was hot this means it will be a lot more difficult for the tyres, for the bike but also for the rider. For me especially because I do not like hot conditions. After the start of the race it was not very good in identity very well with the tyres, because the front and the rear was slaiding quite a lot. But after a 4 laps I took the confidence and the bike work better. And I stay to overtake everybody. The race was very hard. I knew my tyres were dropping specially in the end but I could see everybody stay was dropping because I start to catch the otherones. So I was very good finally we made 2 points I think we deserve because we work really hard all weekend. And all my team we deserve the points, thank you very much to everyone. I´m super happy we ended finally the weekend like this”
