Vicente Pérez will premiere this weekend at the Mugello Circuit.

The Valencian rider, Vicente Pérez, faces a new challenge at the Oakley Grand Prix of Italy, being the first time he has participated on this track.

The pupil of the Reale Avintia Academy 77 arrives at this GP after the crash at the French Grand Prix. Pérez will try to familiarize with the track from the first free practice and to progress in the times, as he has us used to. The young rider just needs to improve the race result and show his great progress during this season.

[pilot id = “14544”] ” I come to a circuit where I have never been but I think that if we take a good work dynamic we can do it right from the beginning. Work from the FP1 and above all take some reference from the beginning to know the circuit and be able to show that we can be ahead of where we are ”

The race weekend in Austin was affected on Saturday due to the heavy rain that fell on the Texas track that caused the free practice to be canceled and the qualifying delayed. With a less session of test for all the riders, Sunday dawned a splendid day of races in C.O.T.A. that Tito took advantage of already from the Warm up to put his bike in perfect conditions for the race, after a Saturday in which the rider of the Reale Avintia couldn’t find a good set-up that left him in the twentieth second position of Starting Grid. But Tito is a tireless fighter and managed to cross the finish line in the tenth fifth position achieving his first point of the season.
Karel Abraham was just behind his teammate, he was fighting with Tito all the race. The goals are getting closer and again progressing and improving the previous race.

“ The first points of the year, we have been able to see many things, especially at the end of the race, now we have to wait for Jerez, we have two weeks to strengthen the leg and there we will do even better”
“ I’m a little disappointed. The weekend was pretty good, we were quite strong during the race being very consistent all the laps and at the end we were even faster, practically the whole race I did with Tito, but of course I’m disappointed because I made my best race lap in the last lap but I couldn’t overtake Tito who gets the first point for the team. The next race I will try to do it even better and get points. I’m really disappointed with myself because I tried hard and I couldn’t get it, but I’m sure that in the next race we’ll get it”

Reale Avintia Academy – French GP – Le Mans Circuit

Bad luck was the formula of the day at the French GP in the Moto3 category and the race of Livio Lo made no exception.

The Belgian rider held 18th place and had a good pace when he was sanctioned with a “Ride Through” penalty because race direction had detected a jump start. After following the order and riding through pit lane, Livio struggled to get back into race and couldn’t return to the rhythm he had at the beginning of the French GP.

Loi and his Team Reale Avintia Academy had to settle for 21st place. What happened at Le Mans will be a lesson for the next race, the Grand Prix of Italy, which will take place at the Mugello circuit in two weeks.

“I was given a “ride through”, but I am not sure that I made a jump start. I will watch it later, but I really don’t think so. At least I am not aware of it. I started when the lights went out. But we have to accept the decision. Before the penalty, I think I rode a good first part of the race. Later, I was right on the limit because I ran into problems with the gear changes. Without all of that, I am sure I would have been able to score a few points, but it wasn’t meant to be. Now we will continue to work towards the next race at Mugello.”

Avintia Racing rider Hector Barbera took a fantastic sixth place in a crazy interrupted race at Assen. It was the first time in 86 years the Dutch TT was held on Sunday, and also the 250th race in the MotoGP era. But the race will be remembered for it’s final outcome.

The race, initially planned with a distance of 26 laps, was red-flagged due to torrential rain with 12 laps to go. In the first part, things went quite bad for Barbera and Pirro. Hector was 14th when the red flag came out, while Michele crashed on the last lap. Luckily he could get his bike back to the garage.

In the second part of the race, Barbera got the pace step by step to cross the chequered flag in sixth place behind Andrea Iannone. With this result, the Avintia Racing rider climbs one place, and with one race left until the half-way mark of the season, he is seventh in the World Championship classification. He also continues to lead the Ducati ranking.

Michele Pirro crashed again with five laps to go, whilst fighting for the top 10. Overall it was a really difficult weekend for the Ducati factory test rider.

HÉCTOR BARBERÁ #8 / @HectorBarbera P6

“I’m really happy with this result because the first race was a disaster. I decided to use the harder rain compound for the rear and it had no grip at all, with the bike spinning even on the straight. Just pointing to the corners, the bike was sliding and I did not enjoy riding in this conditions. In the second race, we used the softer rain tyre and the bike changed completely. But the difference was so big that it took me some laps to get used to it. After such a difficult weekend, with mechanical issues and two crashes, this sixth place is a reward for everybody in the team. I want to thank my team for their support during the weekend, because they react quickly to the problems and they push me to keep my motivation high.”

MICHELE PIRRO #51 / @pirrorider DNF

“This weekend was really difficult for me, I think one of the hardest of my career. But this is racing. I fell sorry for the team, because we had the chance to fight for the seventh place in the second race, but I crashed. I had no warning and the limit was so narrow that I couldn’t save it. I feel bad for the team because today we could have achieved a good result. These two races were a great experience for me, but to be honest I hoped to get better results. Thanks to Avintia for this opportunity, I hope it will go better next time.”
