Esponsorama Racing will dispute this weekend the second consecutive race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the seventh race of the season for the category.

After a positive San Marino Grand Prix and the good feelings after completing the test at Misano last Tuesday, Esponsorama Racing faces a new weekend of competition with optimism of obtaining a good result.

Johann Zarco, who finished 15th last Sunday, will have another chance to keep adding points and get a good result that will bring him closer to the top of the standings.

Despite his crash in the San Marino Grand Prix race, Tito Rabat managed to take a considerable step forward. The Spanish rider wants to confirm the good feelings and return to the points zone to continue recovering his confidence.

On Friday at 9:55 Esponsorama Racing will be back in action for the first free practice of the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna.

“It is good to repeat this weekend on the same circuit. We had a test on Tuesday that was very important, because we had more time to try some different set-ups, also, try even more things, I improve my best lap time, and this is positive to start the weekend. Last race I had some problems at the end of the race, and for this weekend, the target is to feel more comfortable to finish the next race better, instead of lose positions, gain positions, and I hope to finish in a Top-10.”

“We start this weekend after a day of test, in which we were harmed by the choice of tire since we were convinced that the rear soft tire would go well but the track changed a lot and the wear was very large. Despite this, we were able to get many positive things out of the things we tried. In view of this second race, I’m satisfied if I can stay with the group during the race and improve over the previous weekend.”

El Esponsorama Racing disputará este fin de semana la segunda carrera consecutiva en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, el Gran Premio de Emilia Romagna, la séptima cita de la temporada para la categoría.

Tras un positivo Gran Premio de San Marino y las buenas sensaciones tras completar el test de Misano el pasado martes, el Esponsorama Racing encara un nuevo fin de semana de competición con optimismo de obtener un buen resultado.

Johann Zarco, que logró terminar 15º el pasado domingo, tendrá una nueva oportunidad para seguir sumando puntos y obtener un buen resultado que le acerquen a lo alto de la clasificación.

Pese a su caída en la carrera del Gran Premio de San Marino, Tito Rabat consiguió dar un considerable paso adelante. El piloto español quiere confirmar las buenas sensaciones y volver a la zona de puntos para seguir recuperando la confianza.

Será el viernes a partir de las 9:55 cuando el Esponsorama Racing volverá a la acción para disputar los primeros entrenamientos libres del Gran Premio de la Emilia Romagna.

“Es bueno repetir este fin de semana en el mismo circuito. El martes tuvimos un test que fue muy importante, porque tuvimos más tiempo para probar set-ups diferentes, también probamos más cosas, pude mejorar mi vuelta rápida y esto es positivo para empezar el fin de semana. La última carrera tuve algunos problemas al final, y para este fin de semana el objetivo es sentirme más cómodo para así poder terminar la carrera mejor, en lugar de perder posiciones, ganar posiciones y espero poder terminar en el Top-10”.

“Empezamos este fin de semana después de un día de test, en el que estuvimos perjudicados por la elección de neumático ya que estábamos convencidos de que el neumático blando trasero iría bien pero la pista cambió bastante y el desgaste era muy grande. A pesar de esto pudimos sacar muchas cosas positivas de las cosas que probamos. De cara a esta segunda carrera me quedo satisfecho si consigo mantenerme con el grupo durante la carrera y mejorar con respecto al fin de semana anterior.”

Esponsorama Racing took part in today’s Misano test at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli where Johann Zarco and Tito Rabat finished 3rd and 18th respectively in the combined results.

Despite Zarco’s crash and a technical problem on the Rabat bike during the last moments of the day, Esponsorama Racing was able to finish an effective day for the team managing to accumulate a large number of laps and mileage to continue working on the development and evolution of the Ducati Desmosedici GP19.

During the morning session, Johann Zarco was able to complete 57 laps of the Italian track, achieving a best time of 1’32.445. In the afternoon, accumulating 39 more laps, the French rider reduced his time to 1’31.899, which allowed him to finish the test in 3rd position.

On his part, Tito Rabat added a total of 71 laps at the end of the day. The Spanish rider stopped the clock with a best time of 1’33.308, finishing in 18th position in the combined results.

“I am happy with today in general, I did not expect to do so many laps. In the afternoon, the plan was to do a few runs and stop, but since we had things to test and the feeling was really good that we decided to do it. Every time we went out on the track I felt good with the bike, I felt comfortable and this is very positive. Happy with the test, very happy with the fastest lap, it was impressive to get down from 1.32, and it is a good sign for the weekend.”

“It has been a day where I have been able to test a lot of things, despite having a problem from the beginning with the rear soft tyre. Both in the morning and in the afternoon the tyre broke very quickly, after five laps the tyre was completely destroyed. This has affected the work plan a bit, but in the end when we were going to set the soft tyre again we broke the engine, and we did not have a spare in this test, so we could not test more things. We now have two days off before a new weekend.”

El Esponsorama Racing ha disputado en el día de hoy los test de Misano en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli en el que Johann Zarco y Tito Rabat han concluido en 3ª y 18ª posición respectivamente en los resultados combinados.

Pese una caída de Zarco y un problema técnico en la moto de Rabat durante los últimos instantes de la jornada, el Esponsorama Racing ha podido finalizar un día efectivo para el equipo logrando acumular un gran número de vueltas y kilometraje para seguir trabajando en el desarrollo y evolución de la Ducati Desmosedici GP19.

Durante la sesión matinal, Johann Zarco ha podido completar 57 giros al trazado italiano, consiguiendo un mejor registro de 1’32.445. Por la tarde, acumulando 39 vueltas más, el piloto francés ha rebajado su tiempo a 1’31.899, lo que le ha permitido terminar el test en 3ª posición.

Por su parte, Tito Rabat ha sumado un total de 71 vueltas al término del día. El piloto español ha parado el cronómetro con un mejor tiempo de 1’33.308, concluyendo en 18ª posición en los resultados combinados.

“Estoy feliz con el día de hoy en general, no esperaba dar tantas vueltas. Por la tarde el plan era hacer pocos ‘runs’ y parar pero como teníamos cosas que probar y el ‘feeling’ era tan bueno que decidimos realizarlo. Cada vez que salíamos a pista me sentía bien con la moto, me sentía cómodo y esto es muy positivo. Feliz con el test, muy contento con la vuelta rápida, ha sido impresionante bajar del 1.32, y es una buena señal de cara al fin de semana”.

“Ha sido un día en el que he podido probar bastantes cosas, a pesar de tener un problema desde el inicio con el neumático blando trasero. Tanto por la mañana como por la tarde la goma se rompía muy rápido, tras cinco vueltas el neumático estaba completamente destrozado. Esto nos ha afectado el plan de trabajo un poco, pero al final cuando íbamos a montar otra vez el neumático blando hemos roto motor, y no teníamos de repuesto en este test, por lo que no hemos podido probar más cosas. Ahora tenemos dos días de descanso antes de un nuevo fin de semana de carreras”.

Esponsorama Racing has concluded the San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Johann Zarco was 15th and Tito Rabat could not finish the race.

After showing a promising pace during the free pratices sessions and in the qualifying, Johann Zarco has started 10th. Despite making a good start and having a good pace, in the final laps of the race the French rider was unable to maintain his position due to the loss of grip from his rear tire and finally crossed the finish line 15th, getting one more point.

Tito Rabat has had a difficult race start. The Spanish rider lost several positions during the first few laps and with five laps to go, he suffered a crash in turn 9 which forced him to retire of the race. Despite this, Rabat has completed a good weekend, showing a good pace and taking a step forward to face the following races with extra confidence.

Next week, at the same Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Esponsorama Racing will have a new opportunity to continue working and return to the positions the team deserves.

“I think the positive part of this race, seeing the result (P15) and 20 seconds away from the winner, far from the top of the race, is that I got a lot of positive things from the start. The step we took this morning in the warm up has helped me a lot in this start of the race to follow Dovizioso and Bagnaia. The start was good for me, but as the laps went by I suffered a lot with the rear tire, especially the last seven laps, I couldn’t keep the pace and I lost a lot”.

“I think that this weekend I have taken steps forward, in terms of the fastest lap, the race pace and the first laps of this. My fastest lap in the race was similar to that of my teammate, as well as the pace, which was very even for both. Now we have to stay focused, arrive rested for the test on Tuesday and the following weekend and give 100% of myself”.

El Esponsorama Racing ha concluido el Gran Premio de San Marino en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Johann Zarco ha sido 15º y Tito Rabat no ha podido terminar la carrera.

Tras mostrar un ritmo prometedor durante los entrenamientos libres y en la clasificación, Johann Zarco ha arrancado 10º. Pese a realizar una buena salida y tener un buen ritmo, en el tramo final de la carrera el piloto francés no ha podido mantener su posición debido a la pérdida de agarre de su neumático trasero y finalmente ha cruzado la línea de meta 15º, sumando un punto más a su casillero.

Por su parte, Tito Rabat ha tenido un inicio de carrera complicado. El piloto español ha perdido varias posiciones durante los primeros compases y a falta de cinco vueltas para el final, ha sufrido una caída en la curva 9 que le ha obligado a abandonar. Pese a ello, Rabat ha completado un buen fin de semana, mostrando un buen ritmo y dando un paso adelante para afrontar con un extra de confianza las siguientes carreras.

La semana que viene, en el mismo Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, el Esponsorama Racing tendrá una nueva oportunidad para seguir trabajando y volver a las posiciones donde el equipo se merece.

“Creo que la parte positiva de esta carrera, viendo el resultado (P15) y a 20 segundos del vencedor, lejos de la cabeza de carrera, es que he obtenido muchas cosas positivas de la salida. El paso que dimos esta mañana en el ‘warm up’ me ha ayudado mucho en este inicio de carrera a la hora de seguir a Dovizioso y a Bagnaia. Por mi parte el inicio ha sido bueno, pero a medida que han pasado las vueltas he sufrido mucho con el neumático trasero, sobre todo las últimas siete vueltas, no he podido mantener el ritmo y he perdido muchísimo”.

“Creo que este fin de semana he dado pasos adelante, en cuanto a la vuelta rápida, al ritmo de carrera y a las primeras vueltas de la misma. Mi vuelta rápida en carrera ha sido similar a la de mi compañero de equipo, al igual que el ritmo que ha sido muy parejo el de ambos. Ahora tenemos que mantenernos centrados, llegar descansados al ‘test’ del martes y al fin de semana siguiente y dar el 100% de mi”.
