Reale Avintia Racing– Test MotoGP – Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya

El piloto del equipo Reale Avintia Racing, Tito Rabat, ha sufrido una fuerte caída esta mañana durante los test de MotoGP disputados hoy en el Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. El Campeón del Mundo de Moto2 en 2014, apenas había comenzado el trabajo y en su tercera salida a pista ha perdido el control de su Ducati en la última curva del trazado catalán cayendo con mucha violencia. La moto ha salido en llamas y el piloto enseguida a sentido un fuerte dolor en su brazo izquierdo.

Tras un primer examen en la clínica del circuito, Tito Rabat ha sido trasladado en ambulancia al Hospital Universitari Quiron Dexeus donde se ha sometido a diversas pruebas llevadas a cabo por el equipo del Dr. Xavier Mir.

Se le ha practicado una resonancia magnética y un TAC tridimensional en el codo izquierdo y se han diagnosticado las siguientes lesiones:

Ruptura muscular grado 3 del flexor profundo de los dedos.

Ruptura muscular grado 2 del flexor cubital de carpo.

Contusión en el nervio cubital.

Edema óseo en la epitróclea u olécrano.

Mañana se le realizarán nuevas pruebas para decidir el tratamiento a seguir y el tiempo de recuperación.

Rabat ya ha comunicado a miembros del equipo que quiere estar en Mugello dentro de nueve días. El Dr. Mir y su equipo decidirán si es algo factible.

Reale Avintia Racing– Test MotoGP – Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya

Reale Avintia Racing rider, Tito Rabat, suffered a big crash this morning during MotoGP testing session at Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit. It was only the third exit for the 2014 Moto2 World Champion when he lost control of his Ducati in the last corner of the Catalan circuit. It was a big tumble. The bike was on fire and the rider immediately felt a bog pain on his left arm.

After the first medical checks at the circuit medical centre, Tito Rabat was transferred by ambulance to Quiron Dexeus Hospital for further examinations carried out by Dr. Xavier Mir’s team.

He has had an MRI and a 3D CT Scan of the left elbow and the following injuries have been diagnosed:
Muscle rupture grade 3 of fingers deep flexor.
Muscle rupture grade 2 of the carpal ulnar flexor.
Contusion in the ulnar nerve.
Bone edema in the epitroclea or olecranon.

He will undergo more tests tomorrow to decide the treatment to be followed and the recovery time.

Rabat has already informed team members that he wants to be in Mugello within nine days. Dr. Mir will decide if it is feasible.

Reale Avintia Racing- GP de França – Circuit de Le Mans

L’equip Reale Avintia Racing surt de França amb mal gust de boca. Fins avui diumenge tot havia anat molt bé per a Tito Rabat qui després de passar a la Q2

ahir sortia onzè. El pilot espanyol ha sortit molt bé i en la primera volta estava desè per darrere de Pedrosa i Rins. Però Tito s’ha vist tan fort que ha volgut atacar als seus compatriotes a la segona volta i s’ha anat a terra. Rabat ha aixecat la seva moto i ha seguit en pista, però alguna cosa no anava bé i finalment ha pres el camí dels boxes.

El seu company Xavier Simeon sí que ha acabat la carrera, però amb molt dolor en el seu avantbraç dret. Una llàstima perquè el belga es trobava còmode amb la moto i lluitant amb l’últim grup.
Aquesta setmana passarà per l’Hospital Universitari Quiron Dexeus per passar consulta amb el Dr. Xavier Mir, qui valorarà si cal intervenir.

L’equip Reale Avintia Racing viatjarà directe a Barcelona per realitzar un test de Michelin dimarts al Circuit, el quin ha estat totalment reasfaltat i compta amb un nou traçat.

“És una pena, perquè ha estat una carrera en què he patit moltíssim amb l’avantbraç dret i no he pogut pilotar bé la meva moto. Després de cinc o sis voltes anava patint i és una llàstima perquè després del warm up havíem fet un pas endavant, em trobava molt a gust amb la moto i durant les primeres voltes podia atacar i estar amb el grup. Però després amb el problema de l’avantbraç he anat contant cada volta fins a creuar la meta. Anem a buscar una solució per al que resta de temporada, perquè hem millorat amb la moto i hem de seguir aquesta línia.”

“Aquesta vegada he sortit molt bé, he fet una gran primera volta, he recuperat una posició i em trobava molt còmode amb la moto. Anava tan bé que veia que podia amb Dani i amb Rins que estaven davant. En comptes de pensar que estava en una bona posició i quedava tota la carrera per davant, volia passar-los. En un revolt s’han anat llargs els dos, els volia passar i en la següent revolt he canviat la trajectòria, he frenat més del compte i he caigut. Vull demanar disculpes a l’equip perquè tenia una gran moto i l’oportunitat de fer una bona carrera, però l’he fastiguejat. Ara farem un test a Barcelona i a Mugello al màxim.”

Reale Avintia Racing– GP of France – Le Mans

Reale Avintia Racing team leaves France without reward. Until Sunday, the weekend had been very positive for Tito Rabat, moving straight to Q2 and qualifying eleventh on the grid. The Spaniard had a great start in the race and was in the top ten on the first lap, behind his compatriots Pedrosa and Rins. Tito felt he was strong, but crashed on the second lap when he tried to overtake both of them. Rabat picked his bike up and continued the race, but something was not working well and he was forced to retire on lap eleven.

His teammate Xavier Simeon finished the race, but with a lot of pain in his right forearm. It was a shame for the Belgian rider who was very comfortable with his bike and had been able to put up a fight with some rivals during the first few laps.

This week he will consult Dr. Xavier Mir at the Hospital Universitari Quiron Dexeus, and then a decision will be made if surgery is necessary.

The Reale Avintia Racing team now heads to Barcelona for a one day Michelin tire test on Tuesday. The track has been completely resurfaced and it has a revised layout.

“It is a shame, because I struggled during the whole race and I was hardly able to ride the bike. After five or six laps, the pain in my right arm was too much and it is a pity because in the warm up this morning we found something on the set-up that helped me a lot. I was really comfortable and during the first few laps, I was able to attack and battled within a group. But then I had this problem in my forearm and I was counting down the laps until the end. We have to find a solution to this issue for the rest of the season, because we improved the bike and we want to continue on our way up.”

“This time I had a good start, the first lap was strong, I gained one place and my feeling with the bike was perfect. I felt so strong that I wanted to overtake Dani and Rins as soon as possible. Instead of thinking and be patient, I just wanted to pass them. They went long in one turn and I tried, but in the next corner I changed my lines to defend my position, lost the front and crashed. I want to say sorry to the team because I had a great bike today and a good opportunity for a top ten finish. But I’ve screwed up.”

Reale Avintia Racing– GP de Francia – Circuito de Le Mans

El equipo Reale Avintia Racing sale de Francia con mal sabor de boca. Hasta hoy domingo todo había ido muy bien para Tito Rabat quien tras pasar a la Q2 ayer salía undécimo. El piloto español ha salido muy bien y en la primera vuelta estaba décimo por detrás de Pedrosa y Rins. Pero Tito se ha visto tan fuerte que ha querido atacar a sus compatriotas en la segunda vuelta y se ha ido al suelo. Rabat ha levantado su moto y ha seguido en pista, pero algo no iba bien y finalmente ha tomado el camino de los boxes.

Su compañero Xavier Simeon sí ha terminado la carrera, pero con mucho dolor en su antebrazo derecho. Una lástima porque el belga se encontraba cómodo con la moto y luchando con el último grupo.

Esta semana pasará por el Hospital Universitari Quiron Dexeus para pasar consulta con el Dr. Xavier Mir, quien valorará si es necesario intervenir.

El equipo Reale Avintia Racing viajará directo a Barcelona para realizar un test de Michelin el martes en el Circuit, el cuál ha sido totalmente reasfaltado y cuenta con un nuevo trazado.

“Es una pena, porque ha sido una carrera en la que he sufrido muchísimo con el antebrazo derecho y no he podido pilotar bien mi moto. Después de cinco o seis vueltas iba sufriendo y es una lástima porque después del warm up habíamos dado un paso adelante, me encontraba muy a gusto con la moto y durante las primeras vueltas podía atacar y estar con el grupo. Pero después con el problema del antebrazo he ido contando cada vuelta hasta cruzar la meta. Vamos a buscar una solución para lo que resta de temporada, porque hemos mejorado con la moto y debemos seguir esta línea.”

“Esta vez he salido muy bien, he hecho una gran primera vuelta, he recuperado una posición y me encontraba muy cómodo con la moto. Iba tan bien que veía que podía con Dani y con Rins que estaban delante. En vez de pensar que estaba en una buena posición y quedaba toda la carrera por delante, quería pasarles. En una curva se han ido largos los dos, los quería pasar y en la siguiente curva he cambiado la trayectoria, he frenado más de la cuenta y me he caído. Quiero pedir disculpas al equipo porque tenía una gran moto y la oportunidad de hacer una buena carrera, pero la he fastidiado. Ahora vamos a hacer un test en Barcelona y en Mugello a tope.”

Reale Avintia Racing– GP of France – Le Mans

Tito Rabat did a superb job on Saturday morning, when he improved his lap times in FP3 enough to make a straight move to Q2 for the second time this season. In the afternoon, he showed a strong pace with the bike in race configuration and improved his lap time once again in Q2. Finally, he was 11^th with a best lap of 1’32.049, which was a great result for Reale Avintia Racing team today and showed Rabat’s big potential for this race.

Xavier Simeon feels more and more comfortable aboard his Ducati and was satisfied with his progress, even though he expected to be a little higher up than in 23^rd place in qualifying. Nevertheless, he shares Rabat’s optimism for the race and is sure to be able to improve further on Sunday.

Incredibly, the weather forecast remains sunny and warm for the race in Le Mans.

“It’s been a great weekend so far and I’m very happy because we are always in positions close to the front. We qualified for Q2 for the first time without help from another rider. But it’s true that I was following Andrea Dovizioso in Q2. In the end, I was not able to improve a lot. But with a good start, the race should also be good.”

“Today was slightly better than yesterday and I’m happy for that. In qualifying, when I was improving my lap time, the red flag came out. Tito Rabat ha aconseguit passar a la Q2 en el Gran Premi de França després de millorar els seus temps del primer dia al FP3 aquest dematí. Per la tarda ha demostrat un gran ritme de carrera en el FP4 i ha lluitat dur per millorar la seva ràpida tornada a la Q2. Finalment s’han classificat undécimo per a la graella d’entrada de demà , amb un cron d’1’32.049.

Les coses han estat molt positives avui dissabte per a l’equip Reale Avintia Racing, en una jornada que Tito Rabat ha lluitat fins al final.

Per la seva part Xavier Simeón, que cada dia se sent més còmode amb la Ducati, esperava treure més de la jornada d’avui. Encara així, Simeón confia en fer una bona carrera i poder brillar més que en les primeres carreres de la temporada.

Sorprendentemente, la previsió per a demà és de sol i de bona temperatura a Le Mans.

“Estem fent un bon cap de setmana i estic molt content, perquè estem de forma regular en les posicions de davant. Hem passat a la Q2, per primera vegada i per mèrit propi, sense seguir a ningú. En la Q2 sí que he anat darrere d’Andrea Dovizioso tot el temps. No he pogut millorar molt, però crec que si demà podem fer una sortida bona, la carrera també ho serà “.

“Ha anat un mica millor que ahir i estem contents. En els cronos, quan estava millorant,ens han tret la bandera vermella quan venia fent la meva millor volta. Al menys avui hem aconseguit ser la primera Ducati 2016, que és una cosa positiva. I, La diferència amb el primer és més alta que a Jerez, que per a mi no és bo. Demà espero estar molt concentrat i regular a la carrera per a aprofitar l’experiència i fer-ho millor “.

Tito Rabat ha conseguido pasar a la Q2 en el Gran Premio de Francia tras mejorar sus tiempos del primer día en el FP3 esta mañana. Por la tarde ha mostrado un gran ritmo de carrera en el FP4 y ha luchado duro para mejorar su vuelta rápida en la Q2. Finalmente se han clasificado undécimo para la parrilla de salida de mañana, con un crono de 1’32.049.

Las cosas han sido muy positivas hoy sábado para el equipo Reale Avintia Racing, en una jornada que Tito Rabat ha luchado hasta el final.

Por su parte Xavier Simeón, que cada día se siente más cómodo con la Ducati, esperaba sacar más de la jornada de hoy. Aún así, Simeón confía en hacer una buena carrera y poder brillar más que en las primeras carreras de la temporada.

Sorprendentemente, la previsión para mañana es de sol y buena temperatura en Le Mans.

“Estamos haciendo un buen fin de semana y estoy muy contento, porque estamos de forma regular en las posiciones de delante. Hemos pasado a la Q2, por primera vez y por mérito propio, sin seguir a nadie. En la Q2 sí que he ido detrás de Andrea Dovizioso todo el tiempo. No he podido mejorar mucho, pero creo que si mañana podemos hacer una salida buena, la carrera también lo será.”

“Ha ido un poco mejor que ayer y estamos contentos. En los cronos, cuando iba mejorando, nos han sacado la bandera roja cuando venía haciendo mi mejor vuelta. Al memos hoy hemos conseguido ser la primera Ducati 2016, que es algo positivo. Y, La diferencia con el primero es más alta que en Jerez, que para mí no es bueno. Mañana espero estar muy concentrado y regular en la carrera para coger experiencia y hacerlo lo mejor posible.”

MotoGP French GP – Le Mans

The first day of practice for the French Grand Prix went very well for the riders of Team Reale Avintia Racing.

Tito Rabat was, once again, very strong in terms of race pace and finished in twelfth position in both free practice sessions. Once again, it was apparent how competitive and hard-fought the MotoGP category is, with the 16 fastest riders separated by just nine tenths of a second. On Saturday, Rabat hopes to improve a bit more and to make a direct move to Q2.

For team-mate Xavier Simeon, the Le Mans circuit felt like a new race track. The MotoGP rookie improved his lap times every time he took to the track, but hasn’t found the best set-up for the “stop and go” characteristics of this race track yet. The Belgian rider also hopes to make a step forward on Saturday and aims at improving his position on the starting grid for the race on Sunday.

“We did a good job and scored twelfth place in the morning, s result that we were able to confirm in the afternoon. The best part was that we were able to improve our race pace and the feeling with the bike. Once again, the times are very close together. We are in twelfth place, but only six tenths of a second behind the fastest guy on the track. We are sure about our set-up and also made up our minds about the right tyre choice for the race. Tomorrow we will pull all stops for a good grid position, even though our focus remains on the race on Sunday, like always. We still need to improve on our speed for one single hot lap, but we are working on this and we’ll see what we can do tomorrow.”

“This first day at Le Mans was like the first day at school for me. Like at the last race at Austin, it was tough to go out on a track where I never rode a MotoGP bike before. It took me some times to set my reference points and to find the right lines with this motorcycle. Al things considered, we made a good step in the right direction and we improved every time I went out on the track. I still can’t push hard enough at the corner entries and I don’t pick up the bike early enough, which is why I cover more distance than the others and lose a bit. But we are analysing every detail in order to do much better on Saturday.”
