Two years later, the MotoGP World Championship returns to the legendary Silverstone circuit for the 12th round of the calendar, the Monster Energy British Grand Prix.

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia arrive to the United Kingdom after a good weekend in Austria. Enea Bastianini, could not get a deserved reward after completing a very solid Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Luca Marini crossed the finish line in 5th, his best ever result in the premier class.

This weekend at Silverstone, both riders will have the opportunity to continue getting important points for the team.

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini will start the first free practice of the Monster Energy British Grand Prix on Friday at 10:55 (Spanish time).

“Unfortunately in Austria we had a technical problem that didn’t allow us to fight for the top-10. Silverstone is a track I really like and unfortunately it’s been two years since I’ve raced here, so it will be like a new circuit. It’s possibly not the best track for Ducati, but it’s good for me, so I’m feeling strong for the weekend.”

“Silverstone is a tricky and a complete track. I don’t know how our Ducati will adapt there, so we have no data to start with. It’s going to be more difficult than Austria, but we’ve had two good weekends in a row, so that will be an extra motivation to do a good job. The weather will be uncertain, but we have shown that we are fast even in all kinds of conditions.”

Dos años después, el campeonato del mundo de MotoGP aterriza en el mítico circuito de Silverstone para disputar la 12ª cita del calendario, el Monster Energy British Grand Prix.

El Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia, llegan al Reino Unido tras un buen fin de semana en Austria. Enea Bastianini, no pudo obtener una merecida recompensa tras un completar un gran premio muy sólido. Mientras tanto, Luca Marini cruzó la línea de meta 5º, logrando así su mejor resultado en la categoría reina.

Este fin de semana en Silverstone, ambos tendrán la oportunidad de seguir sumando puntos importantes para el equipo.

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini disputarán el viernes el primer entrenamiento libre del Monster Energy British Grand Prix a las 10:55 (hora española).

“Desafortunadamente en Austria tuvimos un problema técnico que no nos permitió luchar por el Top-10. Silverstone es una pista que me gusta mucho y lamentablemente hace dos años que no corro aquí, así que será como en un nuevo circuito. Posiblemente no sea el mejor trazado para Ducati, pero es bueno para mí, así que me siento fuerte para el fin de semana.”

“Silverstone es una pista complicada y completa. No sé cómo se adaptará nuestra Ducati allí, así que no tenemos datos para empezar. Va a ser más difícil que Austria, pero hemos tenido dos buenos fines de semana seguidos, y eso será una motivación extra para hacerlo bien. La meteorología será incierta, pero hemos demostrado que somos rápidos incluso en todo tipo de condiciones.”

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini completed the race of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, where the Avintia Esponsorama rider had to retire and the Sky VR46 Avintia rider crossed the finish line in 5th position.

Rain was the main protagonist of Sunday’s race. Although the race was declared dry, from the first lap the stewards showed the white flag, indicating to the riders that they could enter the pit lane to make the bike change. During the race, there were moments when the rain came very lightly, but with 5 laps to go, it came with a lot of intensity.

Unfortunately, Enea Bastianini had to retire due to technical problems. On the sixth lap, the fairing of his bike came off and he was unable to finish the race.

Luca Marini crossed the finish line in an impressive 5th position.When the rain made its appearance with 5 laps to go, Marini decided to not change his bike, as the leading riders did. Finally, after a tense last few laps, he managed to score 11 valuable points.

After a frenetic Sunday at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, MotoGP will travel to Silverstone in two weeks’ time for the Monster Energy British Grand Prix.

“Unfortunately the bike fairing broke and I don’t know why. It’s frustrating because we were competitive and I think we could have had a good result, because yesterday in FP4 I had a very consistent pace. I hope that in the next races we will have more luck. I’m sure that sooner or later, luck will be on our side and we can get the results we deserve.”

“I would say we were close of making history. It was a shame at the end, but I’m happy. It was a weekend where we worked well from the first free practice, the first half of the race in the dry I was fast, I felt good. It was difficult to get away from my rivals because I was losing a bit of distance on the straights. Then, in the rain, I kept my eyes open and started to calculate how much I was going to lose with the bike change and in the end the decision to stay out was the right one. On the last lap it was raining a lot, so I tried to defend myself from the guys on rain tyres and I was close to the podium. I’m a bit disappointed, but satisfied because I was able to keep my nerve and make the right decision at a key moment.”

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini han completado la carrera del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, donde el piloto del Avintia Esponsorama ha tenido que abandonar y el del Sky VR46 Avintia, ha cruzado la línea de meta en 5ª posición.

La lluvia ha sido la protagonista principal del domingo. Pese a que la carrera se ha declarado en seco, desde la primera vuelta los comisarios han mostrado la bandera blanca, indicando a los pilotos que podían entrar al ‘pit lane’ a hacer el cambio de moto a mojado. Durante la carrera, ha habido momentos donde la lluvia ha aparecido de forma muy ligera, pero a falta de 5 vueltas para el final, lo ha hecho con mucha intensidad.

Desafortunadamente, Enea Bastianini ha tenido que abandonar por problemas técnicos. En la sexta vuelta, la quilla y el carenado de su moto se han desprendido y no ha podido finalizar la carrera.

Por su parte, Luca Marini ha cruzado la línea de meta en una impresionante 5ª posición. Cuando la lluvia ha hecho acto de presencia a falta de 5 vueltas, a diferencia de los pilotos de cabeza, Marini ha decidido no cambiar de moto. Finalmente, tras unos últimos giros muy tensos, ha conseguido sumar 11 valiosos puntos.

Tras un domingo frenético en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, MotoGP viajará dentro de dos semanas al mítico trazado de Silverstone, donde se disputará el Monster Energy British Grand Prix.

“Desafortunadamente el carenado de la moto se ha roto y no sé el motivo. Es frustrante porque hemos sido competitivos y creo que podríamos haber conseguido un buen resultado, porque ayer en el FP4 tuve un ritmo muy constante. Espero que en las próximas carreras tengamos más fortuna. Estoy seguro de que tarde o temprano, la suerte estará de nuestro lado y podremos obtener los resultados que merecemos.”

“Diría que hemos estado a punto de hacer historia. Ha sido una pena el final, pero estoy contento. Ha sido un fin de semana en el que hemos trabajado bien desde los primeros entrenamientos libres, la primera mitad de la carrera en seco he sido rápido, me he sentido bien. Me costaba alejarme de mis rivales porque perdía un poco de terreno en las rectas. Luego, bajo la lluvia, me he mantenido alerta y he empezado a calcular cuánto iba a perder con el cambio de moto y al final la decisión de quedarme fuera ha sido la correcta. En la última vuelta estaba lloviendo a cántaros, así que intenté defenderme de los que llevaban neumáticos de lluvia y me he quedado cerca del podio. Estoy un poco decepcionado, pero satisfecho porque he sabido mantener el temple y tomar la decisión correcta en un momento clave.

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini will start the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg in 15th and 17th position respectively, after having to participate in Q1.

Unfortunately, both riders were unable to finish in the top two positions of the session which would have allowed them to fight for pole position in Q2. Bastianini’s best lap was 1:23.790, while Marini’s was 1:23.834.

Tomorrow at 14:00 the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich race will start, where Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia will try to finish with a good result.

“It was a bad day and I think we could have had a better result. In FP4 we were very fast and unfortunately this morning I couldn’t set a good lap because I crashed. Then we had some tyre problems which didn’t allow me to set a good lap either. I’m sure we had the speed to be much higher and to be in Q2. Tomorrow we will start 15th, which is better than last week, although it’s not the result we deserve.”

“I’m a bit angry about the grid position, we could have done better and got into Q2. We knew it was going to be difficult, I was going very fast on my last attempt, but other riders disturbed me. I had to stop accelerating and abort the lap. It’s a pity, because now MotoGP qualifying is also decided in fights like Moto3.”

“Ha sido un mal día y creo que podríamos haber conseguido un mejor resultado. En el FP4 hemos ido muy rápidos y por desgracia esta mañana no he podido marcar una buena vuelta porque me he caído. Luego hemos tenido algunos problemas con los neumáticos que tampoco me ha permitido cerrar una buena vuelta. Estoy seguro de que teníamos la velocidad para estar mucho más arriba y haber estado en la Q2. Mañana salimos 15º, mejor que la semana pasada, aunque no es el resultado que merecemos.”

“Estoy un poco enfadado por la posición en la parrilla, podríamos haberlo hecho mejor y haber accedido a la Q2. Sabíamos que iba a ser difícil, he ido muy rápido en mi último intento, pero me han molestado. He tenido que dejar de acelerar y abortar la vuelta. Es una pena, porque ahora las clasificaciones de MotoGP también se deciden en peleas como las de Moto3.”

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia have completed the first two free practice sessions of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg on Friday.

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini ended the first day in Austria in 12th and 13th position respectively in the combined practice times. Both riders set their best times in the morning session, as the second free practice has been held in wet conditions.

Tomorrow at 9:55am the third free practice of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich will start, where Bastianini and Marini will have one last chance to get a position that will allow them to go directly to Q2.

“It was a bit of a strange day as we didn’t expect rain today. This morning we started with the right foot and immediately set a good time. I made some changes to the front of the bike, but the problems didn’t go away, so we’ll keep working on it tomorrow. With the wet track the lap times weren’t quite good and we’re limited on medium wet tyres. Anyway, I did some laps to see how the bike was behaving and to understand what the potential is. We are ready for tomorrow.”

“We have been working on the bike during FP1 and we found some improvements that will help us for tomorrow. It was a pity that it rained in FP2, because we are a bit limited on the medium wet tyres. We’ll see how FP3 goes, it will be a key session, we have three softs to use and then three time attacks to get a competitive time.”

El Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia han disputado este viernes los dos primeros entrenamientos libres del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini han cerrado el primer día en Austria en 12ª y 13ª posición respectivamente en la clasificación combinada. Ambos pilotos han logrado sus mejores registros en la sesión matinal, ya que el segundo entrenamiento libre se ha disputado en condiciones de mojado.

Mañana a partir de las 9:55 dará comienzo el tercer entrenamiento libre del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, dónde Bastianini y Marini tendrán una última oportunidad para conseguir una posición que les permita acceder directamente a la Q2.

“Ha sido un día un poco extraño ya que hoy no esperábamos lluvia. Esta mañana hemos empezado con el pie derecho y de inmediato hemos conseguido un buen tiempo. He hecho algunos cambios en la parte delantera de la moto, pero los problemas no han acabado de desaparecer, así que mañana seguiremos trabajando en ello. Con la pista mojada los tiempos no han sido del todo buenos y, además, tenemos pocos neumáticos medios de lluvia. De todas maneras, he dado algunas vueltas para ver cómo se comportaba la moto y entender cuál es el potencial. Estamos preparados para mañana.”

“Hemos estado trabajando en la moto durante el FP1 y hemos encontrado algunas mejoras que nos ayudarán para mañana. Ha sido una lástima que haya llovido en el FP2, porque estamos un poco limitados con los neumáticos medios de lluvia. Veremos cómo va el FP3, será una sesión clave, tenemos tres blandos para usar y luego tres vueltas rápidas para lograr un tiempo competitivo.”

The MotoGP World Championship will contest this weekend at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg the second consecutive Grand Prix, this time the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

El Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP disputará este fin de semana en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg el segundo gran premio consecutivo, en esta ocasión el Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini completaron un buen fin de semana en el Gran Premio de Styria. Ambos lograron cruzar la línea de meta en zona de puntos en la carrera, donde el piloto del Avintia Esponsorama fue 12º, mientras que el del Sky VR46 Avintia fue 14º.

Este fin de semana en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, Bastianini y Marini tendrán una nueva oportunidad de seguir sumando puntos importantes para el equipo en el Gran Premio de Austria.

La acción en el trazado austriaco dará comienzo el viernes a las 9:55, cuando se disputará el primer entrenamiento libre de la categoría reina del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

“Seguimos en Austria y veremos si podemos hacer una buena carrera. El domingo teníamos un buen potencial pero desgraciadamente salimos desde la 20ª posición, así que todo se complicó. A ver si conseguimos un mejor resultado en la clasificación este fin de semana. Estoy preparado y estaremos pendientes de la lluvia, porque esto también será un factor que afectará a nuestro rendimiento, pero vamos a ser positivos.”

“Estamos de vuelta en Spielberg. En la primera carrera no fue todo perfecto, pero conseguimos terminar en zona de puntos. Ahora afrontamos otro fin de semana en el mismo circuito. Volveremos a trabajar en los detalles, útiles también para los futuros grandes premios, y en cómo dar un paso adelante en los primeros compases de la carrera.”
