MotoGP Jerez Test– Circuito Angel Nieto

Reale Avintia Racing team riders, Tito Rabat and Xavier Simeon, stayed today at Jerez for a one-day-test and both have been able to improve their feeling after a Spanish Grand Prix that was not as both expected.
Tito Rabat, who was disappointed yesterday despite scoring two championship points, improved his best lap time of qulaifying and completed a race simulation in 1’39s mid low and some 38. Rabat also worked hard to improve his feeling with the clutch to on the start, one of the main issues that affected his result on Sunday’s race.
Simeon also enjoyed a very productive test day, he changed his position on the bike, and now he is more comfortable and consistent. In the afternoon he had a small crash without consequences, and he leaves Jerez quite satisfied.
In addition to Tito Rabat and Xavier Simeon, in these test the team hosted, the Andorran rider Xavi Cardelus who made his debut in MotoGP as team’s test rider. His first experience with the Ducati has been very positive and after completing his first Grand Prix in Moto2 as a ‘wild card’ for Cardelus, testing one of the Reale Avintia Racing bikes has been the culmination of a week full of emotions.
Now the team will head to Le Mans, where the French GP will take place from May 18^th to 20^th.

“This was a very positive test and we got very good conclusions. I have improved my qualifying lap time, we did a fast race simulation. But although all this makes me very happy inside I feel a great disappointment for not having been able to do it yesterday in the race, because the test doen’t count. In the end I spent a good time practicing exits; I already have clear how to start well and without problems, at least I’ll be able to maintain my position, because we can’t loose so much in the exits. Now I’m thinking in Le Mans where I hope to be fighting again in the top 10”.

“We have no new parts to test with this bikes, son we focused on trying new things to improve my feeling. We have changed my position on the bike we have seen positive things. I have found myself much better than during the race weekend. I have also worked a lot to change my riding style, but didn’t improve as much as I would like to. But we must be patient because it is a long process and every time I go a little better. I do not want to push myself, but it is clear that I would like to be much faster”.

“In just a few days I had many emotions together. First for my debut in the Moto2 World Championship, and I think that it went quite well. And today testing the MotoGP bike was just amazing. I’m very happy and I don’t have words. I was surprised how fast is the bike, it’s incredible, but the biggest impact for me was acceleration. The carbon brakes are also interesting, they work in a very different way from what I’m used to, but I liked the feeling. It is also a bike that needs to be riden in a very special way, in 40 laps I to adapt my style, but it was not easy. I want to thank Raul Romero and the entire Reale Avintia Racing team for this opportunity and I hope to repeat it in the future”.

Els pilots de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing, Tito Rabat i Xavier Simeon, s’han quedat a entrenar a Jerez avui dilluns i han pogut millorar les seves sensacions després d’una un Gran Premi que no va ser com tots dos esperaven.
Tito Rabat, que ahir va acabar decebut tot i sumar dos punts, ha millorat els seus temps del cap de setmana i ha realitzat una simulació de carrera en què ha rodat constantment en 1’39. Rabat també ha treballat dur per millorar les sortides, un altre dels punts que va fallar en la cursa de diumenge.

Simeon també ha gaudit d’un dia molt productiu i després de canviar la seva posició sobre de la moto, ha fet un pas endavant i ara pot rodar amb més constància. Al final ha patit una petita caiguda sense conseqüències, però deixa Jerez bastant satisfet.

A més de Tito Rabat i Xavier Simeon, en aquests entrenaments el pilot andorrà Xavi Cardelus s’ha estrenat a MotoGP com a pilot de proves de l’equip. La seva primera experiència amb la Ducati ha estat molt positiva i després de completar el seu primer Gran Premi en Moto2 com ‘wild card’ per Cardelus provar una de les motos del Reale Avintia Racing ha estat el colofó a una setmana plena d’emocions.

Ara l’equip posarà camí a Le Mans, on tindrà lloc el GP de França del 18 al 20 de maig.

“Ha estat un test molt positiu i hem tret molt bones conclusions. Hem millorat els temps del crono, hem fet un simulacre de carrera i hem baixat molt el temps de carrera. Però encara que tot això m’alegra molt per dins sento una gran decepció per no haver-ho pogut fer ahir en carrera, perquè el test no compta. Al final he passat una bona estona assajant sortides; ja tinc clar com sortir bé i sense problemes, almenys mantenint la meva posició, perquè no pot ser que perdéssim tant en les sortides . Ara ja estic pensant en arribar a Le Mans on espero tornar a estar en el top 10.”

“Com la moto que tenim no compta amb evolucions, hem dedicat el test per provar força coses per intentar millorar. Hem canviat la meva posició a la moto per intentar tenir altres sensacions i anar més còmode i la veritat és que hem vist coses positives. M’he trobat molt millor que durant el cap de setmana de carrera. He treballat també molt per canviar la meva manera de pilotar, però encara no hem fet els passos endavant que a mi m’agradaria. Però hem de tenir paciència perquè és un procés llarg i cada vegada vaig una mica millor. No vull pressionar-me, però està clar que a mi m’agradaria estar molt més amunt”.

“En només uns dies he tingut moltes emocions juntes. Primer pel meu debut al Mundial de Moto2, on crec que ho hem fet bastant bé. I ja per rematar provar la MotoGP. Estic molt content i no tinc paraules. M’ha sorprès com corre la moto, és increïble, però el més brutal és l’acceleració que té. Els frens m’han cridat molt l’atenció, són molt diferents al que estic acostumat, però m’ha agradat com funcionen. També és una moto que necessita ser pilotada d’una manera molt especial, en 40 voltes que he fet no he pogut adaptar-me, però he vist clar que canvia moltíssim. Vull donar les gràcies a Raúl Romero i a tot l’equip Reale Avintia Racing per aquesta oportunitat i espero poder repetir-la en el futur”.

Los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing, Tito Rabat y Xavier Simeon, se han quedado a entrenar en Jerez hoy lunes y han podido mejorar sus sensaciones tras una un Gran Premio que no fue como ambos esperaban.

Tito Rabat, que ayer terminó decepcionado a pesar de sumar dos puntos, ha mejorado sus tiempos del fin de semana y ha realizado una simulación de carrera en la que ha rodado constantemente en 1’39. Rabat también ha trabajado duro para mejorar las salidas, otro de los puntos que falló en la carrera del domingo.

Simeon también ha disfrutado de un día muy productivo y tras cambiar su posición encima de la moto, ha dado un paso adelante y ahora puede rodar con más constancia. Al final ha sufrido una pequeña caída sin consecuencias, pero deja Jerez bastante satisfecho.

Además de Tito Rabat y Xavier Simeon, en estos entrenamientos el piloto andorrano Xavi Cardelus se ha estrenado en MotoGP como piloto de pruebas del equipo. Su primera experiencia con la Ducati ha sido muy positiva y tras completar su primer Gran Premio en Moto2 como ‘wild card’ para Cardelus probar una de las motos del Reale Avintia Racing ha sido el colofón a una semana llena de emociones.

Ahora el equipo pondrá rumbo a Le Mans, donde tendrá lugar el GP de Francia del 18 al 20 de mayo.

“Ha sido un test muy positivo y hemos sacado muy buenas conclusiones. Hemos mejorado los tiempos del crono, hemos hecho un simulacro de carrera y hemos bajado mucho el tiempo de carrera. Pero aunque todo esto me alegra mucho por dentro siento una gran decepción por no haberlo podido hacer ayer en carrera, porque el test no cuenta. Al final he pasado un buen rato ensayando salidas; ya tengo claro cómo salir bien y sin problemas, al menos manteniendo mi posición, porque no puede ser que perdiéramos tanto en las salidas. Ahora ya estoy pensando en llegar a Le Mans donde espero volver a estar en el top 10”.

“Como la moto que tenemos no cuenta con evoluciones, hemos dedicad el test para probar bastantes cosas para intentar mejorar. Hemos cambiado mi posición en la moto para intentar tener otras sensaciones e ir más cómodo y la verdad es que hemos visto cosas positivas. Me he encontrado mucho mejor que durante el fin de semana de carrera. He trabajado también mucho para cambiar mi manera de pilotar, pero aún no hemos dado los pasos adelante que a mí me gustaría. Pero debemos tener paciencia porque es un proceso largo y cada vez voy un poco mejor. No quiero presionarme, pero está claro que a mí me gustaría estar mucho más arriba”.

“En solo unos días he tenido muchas emociones juntas. Primero por mi debut en el Mundial de Moto2, donde creo que lo hemos hecho bastante bien. Y ya para rematar probar la MotoGP. Estoy muy contento y no tengo palabras. Me ha sorprendido cómo corre la moto, es increíble, pero lo más brutal es la aceleración que tiene. Los frenos me han llamado mucho la atención, son muy diferentes a lo que estoy acostumbrado, pero me ha gustado cómo funcionan. También es una moto que necesita ser pilotada de una manera muy especial, en 40 vueltas que he hecho no he podido adaptarme, pero he visto claro que cambia muchísimo. Quiero dar las gracias a Raúl Romero y a todo el equipo Reale Avintia Racing por esta oportunidad y espero poder repetirla en el futuro”.

Els pilots de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing, Tito Rabat i Xavier Simeon, han sortit de Jerez sense el resultat esperat en un cap de setmana molt complicat. Amb temperatures molt més altes i condicions molt diferents a les del test del passat mes de novembre, Tito Rabat no ha trobat en tot el cap de setmana bones

sensacions amb la seva moto. A més, la sortida des de la sisena línia de la graella no ha estat bona i l’espanyol ha perdut diverses posicions que després li ha costat molt recuperar. L’únic punt positiu per Rabat en el Gran Premi d’Espanya, és que amb el seu 14è lloc, segueix entre els deu primers en la classificació provisional del campionat després de quatre carreres.

Xavier Simeon va arribar a Jerez disposat a estrenar el seu caseller de punts. El belga ha anat donant passos cada dia en els lliures, però mai ha arribat a trobar una posada a punt que li permetrà anar més còmode i això s’ha vist reflectit en la carrera. Però Simeon ha acabat una altra carrera més i ha acumulat més experiència.

Demà dilluns, els pilots de Reale Avintia Racing disposaran d’un dia d’entrenaments, on esperen trobar solucions per al GP de França, el qual tindrà lloc a Le Mans aquí a dues setmanes.

“Ha estat un cap de setmana complicat. Pensava que en cursa m’aniria millor, però no ha pogut ser. La sortida no ha anat bé i després tenia un ‘feeling’ extrany, pel que he optat per quedar-me on era. No podia anar més ràpid, però ha estat una llàstima que hagi anat malament en la primera cursa a casa. Demà tenim un dia de test i així analitzarem el què ha passat. Tinc ganes de fer el test i sobretot de girar full i arribar a Le Mans”.

“Ha estat una cursa molt difícil perquè hem anat empitjorant. No teníem el ritme que esperàvem. Amb el canvi de coses per arreglar el problema de l’adherència, l’hem empitjorat. No he gaudit per a res. En cap moment he pogut lluitar per fer alguna cosa bona. El positiu és que he mantingut un ritme constant durant tota la carrera i hem agafat experiència.”

After a difficult weekend, Reale Avintia Racing riders Tito Rabat and Xavier Simeon leave Jerez without the results they were expecting at the Spanish Grand Prix. With higher temperatures and different conditions from last year’s test on this track, Tito Rabat was not able to find the feeling he had in November. Furthermore, his start from sixth row of the grid was not the best and he lost several positions, that he struggled to recover during the race. The only positive point for Rabat at the Spanish Grand Prix was that with 14^th place, he is still inside the top ten on the championship standings after four races.

Xavier Simeon came to Jerez determined to score some championship points. The Belgian rider made some steps in the right direction in the free practice sessions, but he never really found the perfect set-up to be more comfortable riding his bike, which was obvious during the race. At least, Simeon finished the race and got more experience in MotoGP.

Both Reale Avintia Racing riders will stay in Jerez for a one-day-test tomorrow where they hope to find solutions ahead of the French GP, that will take place in Le Mans in just two weeks.

“It was a really difficult weekend. I thought I would be able to go faster in the race, but it was not possible. The start was not good and then I never got a good feeling with the bike. It was strange, so I decided to settle down and keep my pace until the end. It was impossible to go faster, and it’s a shame that this happened in my first home race. Tomorrow we will have a test where we will analyse what happened this weekend. I’m looking forward to this test, but I’m even keener to forget this weekend and to get to Le Mans.”

“The race today was very difficult, because we went worse and worse every lap. I didn’t have the pace we expected. We changed many things to solve the rear grip issue from yesterday, but at the end we just made things more difficult. I wasn’t able to push and ride the bike with confidence and I didn’t enjoy the race today. The only positive thing is that I kept a constant pace and got some more experience.”

Los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing, Tito Rabat y Xavier Simeon, han salido de Jerez sin el resultado esperado en un fin de semana muy complicado. Con temperaturas mucho más altas y condiciones muy diferentes a las del test del pasado mes de noviembre, Tito Rabat no ha encontrado en todo el fin de semana buenas sensaciones con su moto. Además, la salida desde la sexta línea de la parrilla no ha sido buena y el español ha perdido varias posiciones que después le ha costado mucho recuperar. El único punto positivo para Rabat en el Gran Premio de España, es que con su 14º puesto, sigue entre los diez primeros en la clasificación provisional del campeonato después de cuatro carreras.

Xavier Simeon llegó a Jerez dispuesto a estrenar su casillero de puntos. El belga ha ido dando pasos cada día en los libres, pero nunca ha llegado a encontrar una puesta a punto que le permitirá ir más cómodo y esto se ha visto reflejado en la carrera. Pero Simeon ha terminado otra carrera más y ha acumulado más experiencia.

Mañana lunes, los pilotos de Reale Avintia Racing dispondrán de un día de entrenamientos, donde esperan encontrar soluciones para el GP de Francia, el cuál tendrá lugar en Le Mans dentro de dos semanas.

“Ha sido un fin de semana complicado. Pensaba que en carrera me iría mejor, pero no ha podido ser. La salida no ha ido bien y luego tenía un ‘feeling’ raro, por lo que he optado por quedarme donde estaba. No podía ir más rápido, pero ha sido una lástima que haya ido mal en la primera carrera en casa. Mañana tenemos un día de test y así analizaremos lo qué ha pasado. Tengo ganas de hacer el test y sobre todo de pasar página y llegar a Le Mans”.

“Ha sido una carrera muy difícil porque hemos ido empeorando. No teníamos el ritmo que esperábamos. Con el cambio de cosas para arreglar el problema del agarre, lo hemos empeorado. No he disfrutado para nada. En ningún momento he podido luchar para hacer algo bueno. Lo positivo es que he mantenido un ritmo constante durante toda la carrera y hemos cogido experiencia”.
