MotoGP GP d’Espanya – Circuito Ángel Nieto

Els pilots de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing han acabat satisfets amb el seu rendiment en els entrenaments cronometrats per al Gran Premi d’Espanya però encara que tots dos han millorat els seus temps i les seves sensacions amb la moto, els dos esperaven una mica més en la sessió cronometrada.

Tito Rabat compta amb un gran ritme per a la carrera i ho ha demostrat en el

FP4 on ha acabat amb el setè millor temps i molta confiança.
Per Simeon el FP4 també ha estat molt positiu i s’ha trobat molt bé sobre la moto. Al igual que el seu company d’equip no ha acabat content amb el resultat final en els cronometrats.
Demà el warm-up serà clau per acabar de posar les motos a punt per completar les 25 voltes de carrera amb bon ritme i aconseguir un bon resultat a casa.

“Està sent un cap de setmana complicat, però hem trobat el mètode per anar ràpid i per això estic content. Hem tingut molt bon ritme en el FP4, aquí hem pogut veure moltes coses rodant darrere de Dani (Pedrosa). Estem solucionant temes de ‘setting’ per poder acabar la carrera en bona posició. Llàstima que en els cronometrats he comès una errada i he caigut. Una llàstima per l’equip i per mi també, però la caiguda ha estat per intentar anar més ràpid. Demà espero fer una bona sortida i poc a poc anar avançant, que és l’important. Encara que estiguem a la P17, per dins estic satisfet ”.

“Aquest matí hem fet un pas important i m’ha donat molta satisfacció, per això tenia esperances per als ‘cronos’. El meu objectiu en aquesta cursa és acostar-me al top 15 i hem demostrat que podem fer-ho. En els cronos, amb les temperatures més altes hem tingut problemes amb l’adherència de la moto i ha estat molt difícil pilotar així. Esperava fer-ho molt millor. M’ha costat molt fer el temps del matí en els cronometrats. Per demà hem de solucionar aquest problema, si volem fer una bona carrera ”.

Both riders of Reale Avintia Racing team improved their lap times and the feeling with their Ducati Desmosedici bikes on the second day of practice for the Spanish Grand Prix and were satisfied with their progress. But nevertheless, Tito Rabat and Xavier Simeon expected to finish the crucial qualifying session with a better result.

Rabat has a very good race pace, which he showed it in FP4 where he finished seventh fastest and with a lot of confidence for the race.
For Simeon, the FP4 session was also very positive, as he felt very good on the bike. But just like his teammate, he has was not happy with his grid position.
The warm-up session on Sunday morning will be crucial to refine the set-up of the bikes and to be completely ready for the 25-lap-race, in which both are riders are determined to put up a fight, show their strong race pace and achieve a good result.

“It’s been a difficult weekend so far, but we’ve found a method to go faster and that’s why I’m happy. We had a very good pace in FP4, where I was able to see many things riding behind Dani Pedrosa. We are refining setting issues so we can finish the race in a good position. In qualifying, I was pushing harder and I crashed, which was a pity for the team and for me as well. Tomorrow I hope to make a good start and to recover positions step by step. We are only 17^th on the grid, but I am still happy with the work we’ve done and the progress we made.”

“This morning we made an important step and it gave me a lot of satisfaction, so I had high expectations for qualifying. My goal for this race is to get closer to the top 15 and we have shown that we can do this. But in qualifying, with the highest temperatures of the day, we had problems with tyre grip and it was very difficult to ride. I expected to do much better. I had a hard time repeating my best time of the morning. We need to solve this grip problem if we want to make a good race”.

Los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing han terminado satisfechos con su rendimiento en los entrenamientos cronometrados para el Gran Premio de España Pero aunque ambos han mejorado sus tiempos y sus sensaciones con la moto, los dos esperaban un poco más en la sesión cronometrada.

Tito Rabat cuenta con un gran ritmo para la carrera y lo ha demostrado en el FP4 donde ha terminado con el séptimo mejor tiempo y mucha confianza.

Para Simeon el FP4 también ha sido muy positivo y se ha encontrado muy bien sobre la moto. Pero al igual que su compañero de equipo no ha terminado contento con el resultado final en los cronometrados.

Mañana el warm-up será crucial para terminar de poner las motos a punto para completar las 25 vueltas de carrera con buen ritmo y conseguir un buen resultado en casa.

“Está siendo un fin de semana complicado, pero hemos encontrado el método para ir rápido y por ello estoy contento. Hemos tenido muy buen ritmo en el FP4, ahí hemos podido ver muchas cosas rodando detrás de Dani (Pedrosa). Estamos solucionando temas de ‘setting’ para poder acabar la carrera en buena posición. Lástima que en los cronometrados he cometido un error y me he caído. Una lástima por el equipo y por mí también, pero la caída ha sido por intentar ir más rápido. Mañana espero hacer una buena salida y poco a poco ir avanzando, que es lo importante. Aunque estemos en la P17, por dentro estoy satisfecho”.

Tito Rabat i Xavier Simeon, han començat els entrenaments lliures avui el reconegut Circuit de Jerez Ángel Nieto, el primer dels quatre Grans Premis de casa per a l’equip Reale Avintia Racing.

Després d’un gran inici de temporada Tito Rabat ha començat molt motivat i, encara que la seva posició en la classificació no ho reflecteixi, el treball realitzat en el primer dia ha estat molt positiu per a la carrera de diumenge. Rabat té clar els pneumàtics i la posada a punt de la seva Ducati i, demà, espera poder millorar els seus temps per sortir el més amunt possible en la graella.

Per Xavi Simeon també ha estat un bon dia. El ‘rookie’ en MotoGP ha tingut bones sensacions amb la moto des del primer moment i el seu ritme en configuració de carrera ha estat acceptable. No ha pogut treure partit del pneumàtic tou, però demà espera fer un pas més i millorar la seva posició.

“Ha estat un dia complicat però alhora positiu perquè hem pogut provar tots els pneumàtics, hem provat diversos reglatges a la moto i hem pogut comprovar que la pista no està com en els test de l’any passat. Tenim clar que hi ha carreres que costarà més, però estem a prop d’on hem d’estar, a veure si demà al matí podem millorar una mica la volta ràpida en el FP3 i sobretot en els cronometrats per aconseguir una bona posició a la graella de sortida. Per a la carrera estic bastant confiat, tenim clar el pneumàtic de carrera i encara que les sensacions amb la moto són molt diferents al test que vam fer aquí al novembre, però és el mateix per a tots”.

“Les sensacions han estat molt més positives que a Austin. Hem tingut un ritme bo des del principi. He acabat últim, però no gaire lluny dels pilots que estan en el top ten; això vol dir que hem fet un pas. Al final no he pogut aprofitar bé el pneumàtic tou; tenia la sensació de tenir molt adherència i que no deixava derrapar bé la moto, com tocava. No he aconseguit treure el màxim rendiment amb aquest pneumàtic, però l’important és que el feeling amb la moto és positiu. Em trobo millor i puc empènyer més fort. Demà intentarem fer una bona FP3 i acostar-nos el màxim possible al top 15”.

Tito Rabat and Xavier Simeon started their preparation for the Spanish Grand Prix at the renamed Angel Nieto Circuit of Jerez today, with the first two free practice sessions in the MotoGP category. The Jerez weekend is the first home Grand Prix for Reale Avintia Racing, and the first European round of the Championship.

After his great start of the season, Tito Rabat arrived at Jerez highly motivated. Even though it didn’t reflect in the time sheets, he had a positive first day, working very efficiently towards the race on Sunday. He already knows which tyre combination to use and he is also sure about the set-up of his Ducati, so he can concentrate now on improving his lap times in qualifying and battling for a good position on the starting grid.

Teammate Xavi Simeon also had a good day. The MotoGP rookie had very good feelings with the bike from his first exit and his race pace was strong. He was not able to get the maximum from the soft rear Michelin tyre, but he is still confident for Saturday and hopes to improve his grid position for the race.

“It was a difficult day, but a positive one nevertheless. We tried all the tyre options available and also different settings on the bike. It was clear that the track conditions were completely different in comparison to when we tested here at the end of last year, so knew in advance that it was going to be difficult, but we are not too far away. Let’s see if I can improve my lap times in FP3 and then make another step in qualifying, so I can start the race in a good position. I’m quite confident for the race as we know which tyre to use. The feeling with the bike is very different from the test in November, but it’s the same for everybody.”

“Today the feeling was much better than in Austin. We had a good pace from the beginning. I finished last, but not so far from the riders in the top ten, which shows that we did improve. At the end I was not able to get the maximum out of the soft tyre, it felt as if I had too much grip and I was not able to get the bike to slide. I didn’t get the best out of the tyre, but the fact that my feeling with the bike was good is more important. I feel better and I can push harder. Tomorrow we will try to do a good FP3 and get close to the top 15 in qualifying.”
