El Gran Premi d’Itàlia no ha acabat com esperaven els pilots de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá i Loris Baz. Després d’acabar els entrenaments cronometrats amb bones sensacions, tots dos esperaven poder remuntar en la carrera, però res ha sortit com estava planejat. L’elecció de pneumàtics s’ha mostrat crucial en una cursa disputada en condicions molt diferents a les de la resta del cap de setmana. L’aposta d’Héctor Barberá i el seu equip de muntar el compost més dur davant i darrere s’ha mostrat errada i l’espanyol ha acabat 14è.

Loris Baz ha començat el dia amb una forta caiguda en el warm-up en què el seu Desmosedici ha quedat completament destruïda. Els mecànics han treballat contrarellotge per tenir tot a punt per la cursa i el pilot francès del Reale Avintia esperava poder lluitar pels punts. Però un fort dolor en ambdós braços, a més d’un intens mal de cap que no li han permès millorar durant la carrera.

El Campionat del Món de MotoGP viatja ara a Barcelona, on el pròxim cap de setmana tindrà lloc la setena cita de la temporada.

“No estic content perquè en general havíem fet un cap de setmana molt bo, però avui la cursa ha estat un desastre. Crec que ens hem equivocat en l’elecció dels pneumàtics, i jo he estat el primer que volia córrer amb el compost més dur. Però com he pogut comprovar en la carrera, no tenia ‘grip’. Les dues Ducati que han estat en el podi portaven el compost mitjà davant i darrere, així que està clar que hem escollit malament. És difícil assimilar-ho, perquè estem trobant el camí, però no acabem de confirmar-ho. Cada vegada que tenim tot de cara és com si xoquessin contra un mur. Ara toca passar pàgina i pensar a Barcelona. ”


“Ha estat un dia molt complicat. Aquest matí he tingut una caigut bastant fort en el warm-up i els mecànics han fet un gran treball per tenir la meva moto a punt per la cursa. Però el problema és que he sortit amb la moto i el motor que menys m’agradaven. Des del principi m’ha costat molt seguir als altres en la acceleració, però després de cinc voltes he començat a trobar-me malament, amb dolor en els braços i un fort mal de cap. Fins m’he marejat una mica i tenia ganes de vomitar. Ha estat estrany i només espero recuperar-me al màxim per divendres i donar-ho tot a Barcelona.”

The Italian Grand Prix did not end as expected for Reale Avintia Racing riders Hector Barbera and Loris Baz. Yesterday, both riders had a good feeling during qualifying and they had hoped for a successful race today, but nothing went as planned.

The tyre selection was crucial because the race conditions were completely different to the previous two days. But the bet of Hector Barbera and his team to race with the hardest Michelin compound both front and rear turned out to be wrong and the Spaniard finished the race 14th.

Loris Baz started the day with a big crash in the warm-up session in which his Desmosedici was completely destroyed. The mechanics worked against the clock to get everything ready for the race and the French rider of the Reale Avintia hoped to be able to fight for points. But a strong pain in both arms, besides an intense headache, stopped him from improving during the race.

The MotoGP World Championship now heads straight to Barcelona, where the seventh round of the season will take place next weekend.

“I’m not happy. Overall we had a very good weekend, but the race today has been a disaster. I think we went wrong with our tyre choice and I was the one who wanted to race with the hardest compound. But as it turned out in the race, I had no grip. The two Ducatis on the podium today were using the medium compound front and rear, so it is clear that we have made a bad choice. It’s disappointing that we can’t confirm our progress with a good race result. Every time we have everything working in the right way we seem to hit a wall. Now we have to forget this race and think about Barcelona.”

“It’s been a very difficult day and I’ve crash pretty hard in the warm-up this morning. My mechanics have done a great job to get my bike ready for the race, but the problem is that I had the bike and the engine that I liked less. At the beginning of the race I had a hard time to follow the other riders in acceleration. And after five laps I’ve started to feel bad, with pain in my arms and a strong headache, which is rare for me. I only hope to recover to the maximum for next Friday because I want to give it all at Barcelona.”

El Gran Premio de Italia no ha terminado como esperaban los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá y Loris Baz. Tras terminar los entrenamientos cronometrados con buenas sensaciones, ambos esperaban poder remontar en la carrera, pero nada ha salido como estaba planeado. La elección de neumáticos se ha mostrado crucial en una carrera disputada en condiciones muy diferentes a las del resto del fin de semana. La apuesta de Héctor Barberá y su equipo de montar el compuesto más duro delante y detrás se ha mostrado equivocada y el español ha terminado 14º.

Loris Baz ha comenzado el día con una fuerte caída en el warm-up en la que su Desmosedici ha quedado completamente destruida. Los mecánicos han trabajado contrarreloj para tener todo listo para la carrera y el piloto francés del Reale Avintia esperaba poder luchar por los puntos. Pero un fuerte dolor en ambos brazos, además de un intenso dolor de cabeza no le han permitido mejorar durante la carrera.

El Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP viaja ahora a Barcelona, donde el próximo fin de semana tendrá lugar la séptima cita de la temporada.

“No estoy contento porque en general habíamos hecho un fin de semana muy bueno, pero hoy la carrera ha sido un desastre. Creo que nos hemos equivocado en la elección de los neumáticos, y yo he sido el primero que quería correr con el compuesto más duro. Pero como he podido comprobar en la carrera, no tenía ‘grip’. Las dos Ducati que han estado en el podio llevaban el compuesto medio delante y detrás, así que está claro que hemos hecho una mala elección. Es difícil asimilarlo, porque estamos encontrando el camino, pero no terminamos de confirmarlo. Cada vez que tenemos todo de cara es como si chocáramos contra un muro. Ahora toca pasar página y pensar en Barcelona.”

“Ha sido un día muy complicado. Esta mañana me ha caído bastante fuerte en el warm-up y los mecánicos han hecho un gran trabajo para tener mi moto lista para la carrera. Pero el problema es que he salido con la moto y el motor que me gustaban menos. Desde el principio me ha costado mucho seguir a los demás en aceleración, pero después de cinco vueltas he comenzado a encontrarme mal, con dolor en los brazos y un fuerte dolor de cabeza. Hasta me he mareado un poco y tenía ganas de vomitar. Ha sido raro y solo espero recuperarme al máximo para el viernes y darlo todo en Barcelona.”

Els pilots de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá i Loris Baz, sortiran demà al Gran Premi d’Itàlia des de la cinquena i sisena línies de la graella després d’acabar els entrenaments cronometrats en 14a i 17a posició, respectivament.
Les sensacions d’Héctor Barberá han tornat i ahir ja va demostrar que pot estar amb els deu més ràpids acabant el dia vuitè. Avui ha aconseguit millorar el seu temps del primer dia en gairebé mig segon, però no ha estat suficient per poder passar a la Q2 i demà sortirà a la meitat de la cinquena línia al costat de Cal Crutchlow i Jonas Folger. Demà espera poder fer una bona sortida i lluitar per acabar en el ‘Top 10’ per primera vegada aquesta temporada.
Loris Baz també ha millorat respecte al primer dia i demà sortirà just darrere del seu company al Reale Avintia Racing. El pilot francès ha treballat dur al costat del seu equip per treure el major potencial del nou pneumàtic davanter de Michelin i, aquesta tarda ha donat un gran pas amb el que ha millorat el ritme i les sensacions.

“Hem fet un pas endavant i hem estat molt a prop d’aconseguir passar a la Q2. Ha estat molt ajustat, hem acabat molt a prop de Zarco i demà sortim a la millor posició del que portem de campionat. Per això és evident que estem millor . Tenim bon ritme per a la carrera i em trobo molt millor i amb més ganes. L’objectiu de demà és gaudir pilotant i si ho aconsegueixo, segur que podrem estar davant. Hi ha un grup del sisè al dotzè en el qual tots tenim el mateix ritme, així que el meu objectiu demà serà ser-hi lluitant. ”

“Avui hem seguit treballant en la posada a punt i la moto ha millorat molt. Al final de l’FP4 teníem alguna cosa que provar, però s’ha aturat la moto i al final hem hagut de provar a la Q1. La veritat és que ens ha anat bastant bé, però falta per ajustar un parell de coses abans de la cursa. Però estic content perquè el ritme és molt millor que ahir, el ‘chatter’ no ha desaparegut del tot, però almenys em deixa pilotar. Demà la cursa serà molt llarga, Mugello és un circuit molt físic i aquesta moto cansa molt més, però hem de gestionar bé la cursa, ser intel·ligents i si arribem al final, segur que sumem uns punts importants”.

Los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá y Loris Baz, saldrán mañana en el Gran Premio de Italia desde la quinta y sexta líneas de la parrilla tras terminar los entrenamientos cronometrados en 14ª y 17ª posición, respectivamente.

Las sensaciones de Héctor Barberá han vuelto y ayer ya demostró que puede estar con los diez más rápidos terminando el día octavo. Hoy ha conseguido mejorar su tiempo del primer día en casi medio segundo, pero no ha sido suficiente para poder pasar a la Q2 y mañana saldrá en la mitad de la quinta línea junto a Cal Crutchlow y Jonas Folger. Mañana espera poder hacer una buena salida y luchar por terminar en el ‘Top 10’ por primera vez esta temporada.

Loris Baz también ha mejorado con respecto al primer día y mañana saldrá justo detrás de su compañero en el Reale Avintia Racing. El piloto francés ha trabajado duro junto a su equipo para sacar el mayor potencial del nuevo neumático delantero de Michelin y, esta tarde ha dado un gran paso con el que ha mejorado el ritmo y las sensaciones.

“Hemos dado un paso adelante y hemos estado muy cerca de conseguir pasar a la Q2. Ha estado muy apretado, hemos terminado muy cerquita de Zarco y mañana salimos en la mejor posición de lo que llevamos de campeonato. Por eso es evidente que estamos mejor. Tenemos buen ritmo para la carrera y me encuentro mucho mejor y con más ganas. El objetivo mañana es disfrutar pilotando y si lo consigo, seguro que podremos estar delante. Hay un grupo del sexto al duodécimo en el que todos tenemos el mismo ritmo, así que mi objetivo mañana será estar ahí luchando.”

“Hoy hemos seguido trabajando en la puesta a punto y la moto ha mejorado mucho. Al final del FP4 teníamos algo que probar, pero se ha parado la moto y al final hemos tenido que probarlo en la Q1. La verdad es que nos ha ido bastante bien, pero falta por ajustar un par de cosas antes de la carrera. Pero estoy contento porque el ritmo es mucho mejor que ayer, el ‘chatter’ no ha desaparecido del todo, pero al menos me deja pilotar. Mañana la carrera será muy larga, Mugello es un circuito muy físico y esta moto cansa mucho más, pero tenemos que gestionar bien la carrera, ser inteligentes y si llegamos al final, seguro que sumamos unos puntos importantes.”

Hector Barbera is getting his feeling back and he already showed yesterday that he can be in the top ten, ending the day in eighth place. Today he improved his pace from Friday by almost 0.5s, but this was not enough to get in Q2 and tomorrow he will start the race in the middle of the fifth row alongside Cal Crutchlow and Jonas Folger. He expects to get a good start tomorrow and to fight for his first top ten finish of the season in the race.

Loris Baz also improved in comparison to the first day and he will start tomorrow’s race from the sixth row of the grid, just behind his Reale Avintia Racing teammate. The French rider worked really hard with his team to get the best of the new Michelin front tyres and he did a big step forward this afternoon, improving both his pace and his feeling.

“We did a big step forward and we were really close to get in Q2. It was a tight session and we finished just two tenths behind Zarco, but I will start the race tomorrow from the best position so far this season. So it is obvious that we have improved. We have a good rhythm for the race and I feel better than ever this year, so I will give my best. The goal is to enjoy riding the bike and if I manage to do it, I’m sure that we can be fighting in the top ten. I think that there is a group from sixth to twelfth with a similar pace, so my target tomorrow is to be battling there.”

“Today we kept working on the set-up and the bike has improved a lot. At the end of the FP4 we had something to test, but the bike stopped and in the end we had to try it in Q1. I’m happy because the pace is much better than yesterday. The chatter has not disappeared completely, but the bike is rideable. Tomorrow will be a long race. Mugello is a very physical circuit and this bike is also more demanding for the rider, so we have to manage the race well and be smart. If we get to the end, we will surely get some important points.”

El Gran Premi d’Itàlia ha començat de forma positiva per Héctor Barberá, amb el pilot del Reale Avintia Racing vuitè en la combinada de temps després de les dues primeres sessions d’entrenaments lliures del cap de setmana. Al matí Barberá ha trobat ràpidament les sensacions amb la seva Ducati Desmosedici GP16 i ha acabat la sessió amb el cinquè millor temps. A la tarda amb més calor, ha estat sisè, amb un temps sol dues mil·lèsimes de segon més lent que el del matí. El pilot del Reale Avintia ha estat el més ràpid en la recta principal de Mugello, amb una velocitat màxima de 352.2 km / h. Però el més important és que ha començat el cap de setmana amb bon peu després d’un inici de campionat molt complicat.

Per Loris Baz el primer dia a Itàlia ha estat una mica més difícil. El pilot francès de 24 anys ha tingut problemes per treure el màxim dels nous pneumàtics davanters de Michelin, però treballant amb el seu equip espera poder trobar demà una solució que li permeti millorar la seva posició a la graella.

“Estic molt content perquè feia molt temps que no començàvem bé un cap de setmana. En el test de Jerez ja vam veure la llum, a Le Mans no vam poder confirmar-ho, però els entrenaments que vam fer a Barcelona abans d’arribar aquí van ser clau. Han estat les cinc carreres més difícils de la meva vida, perquè sé que tinc els mitjans per estar davant i els pilots que porten la meva moto estaven més amunt, però no tenia sensacions bones i així era molt difícil. Aquesta moto va néixer per anar amb ales, per això hem treballat a carregar més pes davant i els resultats s’estan veient. Jo tenia clar que no se m’havia oblidat pilotar i també el meu equip, per això no han deixat de donar-me suport i sembla que ja hem trobat el camí. Demà cal aprofitar el moment, tractar de passar a la Q2 i donar-ho tot per sortir el més amunt possible.”

“Ha estat un dia una mica complicat. Amb els nous pneumàtics encara hem de treballar en la posada a punt, perquè encara que a Barcelona ens va ser millor, aquí tenim molt ‘chatter’ i la moto empeny molt la part del davant. Però el positiu és que hem fet un pas del matí a la tarda i les sensacions han millorat poc a poc. Estem en el bon camí i demà espero poder trobar el ‘feeling’ que tenia amb l’altre pneumàtic. De moment no penso en la Q2, només en millorar, perquè el més important ara mateix és tenir la feina feta per la cursa de diumenge.”

Positive start of the Italian Grand Prix for Hector Barbera: The Reale Avintia Racing rider holds eighth place in the combined time sheets after the first two practice sessions of the weekend. In the morning, Barbera felt fast immediately riding his Ducati Desmosedici GP16 and he finished the session with the fifth fastest lap time. In the afternoon, in much warmer weather conditions, he finished sixth, lapping just two thousandths of a second slower than in the morning. Barbera was the fastest on Mugello’s main straight today, with a top speed of 352.2 km/h. All in all, he had a strong start of the weekend after a tough first part of the season.

Things went the opposite way for Loris Baz, who struggled more during the first day. The 24-year-old French rider suffered to get the best out of the new Michelin front tyres. But he is confident that working hard with his team, they will be able to find a solution in their quest to conquer the best possible spot on the grid.

“I’m very happy because we didn’t start like this since long time ago. The test at Jerez showed us the way, then we were unlucky at Le Mans, but we completed another crucial test in Barcelona before coming here and today we saw the results. The previous five races have been the toughest of my career, because I knew that I had the package and the team to be fighting at the front. I could see how the other riders using my bike were faster than me, but I didn’t have the feeling to push and it was really difficult. This bike was born with winglets, so from Jerez we just concentrated on putting more weight on the front and we could see the improvement every time I was on track. I was sure that I am still capable of riding a bike and that’s the reason why my team always supported me. So I want to say a big thank you, because it finally seems that we took the right direction. We have to build the momentum tomorrow and battle for Q2, and then give our best in qualifying.”

“It was a difficult day for me. We still have to work to set up the bike with the new front tyre, because although I was happy with my performance at the test in Barcelona, today I struggled a lot with chatter and also the front is pushing in every corner. The only positive thing is that we improved from the morning to the afternoon, so I hope we can go even further tomorrow and get the good feelings I had with the previous front tyre. Right now I’m not thinking about Q2, I’m focused on improving, because right now the main thing is to get the best package for the race on Sunday.”
