Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini arrancarán el Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg en 15ª y 17ª posición respectivamente, tras tener que disputar la Q1.

Desafortunadamente, ambos pilotos no han podido finalizar en las dos primeras posiciones de la sesión que les hubiera permitido luchar por la ‘pole position’ en la Q2. La mejor vuelta de Bastianini ha sido de 1:23.790, mientras que la de Marini ha sido de 1:23.834.

Mañana a las 14:00 dará comienzo la carrera del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, donde el Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia intentarán finalizar con un buen resultado.

“Ha sido un mal día y creo que podríamos haber conseguido un mejor resultado. En el FP4 hemos ido muy rápidos y por desgracia esta mañana no he podido marcar una buena vuelta porque me he caído. Luego hemos tenido algunos problemas con los neumáticos que tampoco me ha permitido cerrar una buena vuelta. Estoy seguro de que teníamos la velocidad para estar mucho más arriba y haber estado en la Q2. Mañana salimos 15º, mejor que la semana pasada, aunque no es el resultado que merecemos.”

“Estoy un poco enfadado por la posición en la parrilla, podríamos haberlo hecho mejor y haber accedido a la Q2. Sabíamos que iba a ser difícil, he ido muy rápido en mi último intento, pero me han molestado. He tenido que dejar de acelerar y abortar la vuelta. Es una pena, porque ahora las clasificaciones de MotoGP también se deciden en peleas como las de Moto3.”

Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 completed the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich qualifying. Tatay was 16th and Bartolini 26th, but both riders will win one position due to Gabriel Rodrigo’s penalty.

Carlos Tatay had an excellent performance after the problems he suffered with his right foot last weekend. The Valencian rider was able to fight for pole position after going finish the Q1 in 2nd position. Tatay will start tomorrow’s race from the fifth row of the grid, with a best time of 1:36.482.

Elia Bartolini did not manage to go through to Q2 and, in his first time at the Red Bull Ring, will start the race from the ninth row . The VR46 Academy rider set a lap time of 1:37.760.

Tomorrow at 11:00 the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich race will start, where Tatay and Bartolini will fight to cross the finish line in the best possible position.

“It was a positive day, although after FP3 and qualifying I felt a lot of pain in my foot. Step by step, together with Clinica Mobile we can reduce the inflammation and not have so much pain. Tomorrow in the warm up I will try to not do too many laps and in the race I will try to ride as much as possible at the best level I can and give 100% as always.”

“Qualifying didn’t go the way we wanted it to. There was a bit of a mess because a lot of rider were slow and it was very difficult to set a fast lap. In fact, when I was doing the fastest sectors, I couldn’t set a good lap. Anyway, tomorrow morning in the warm up, we’ll keep working to improve the setting of the bike to try to make a good come back and have fun in the race.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46, han completado la clasificación del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich. Tatay ha logrado la 16ª posición y Bartolini la 26ª, pero ambos pilotos ganarán una posición debido a la sanción de Gabriel Rodrigo.

Carlos Tatay ha tenido una excelente actuación tras los problemas que sufrió en su pie derecho el pasado fin de semana. El valenciano ha podido acceder a la lucha por la ‘pole position’ tras superar el corte de la Q1 en 2ª posición. Tatay arrancará la carrera de mañana desde la quinta línea de la parrilla, con un mejor tiempo de 1:36.482.

Elia Bartolini no ha conseguido el acceso a la Q2 y, en su primera vez en el Red Bull Ring, partirá desde la novena línea de la parrilla en la carrera. El piloto de la VR46 Academy, ha marcado un registro de 1:37.760.

Mañana a las 11:00 dará comienzo la carrera del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, dónde Tatay y Bartolini lucharán por cruzar la línea de meta en la mejor posición posible.

“Ha sido un día positivo, aunque después del FP3 y de la clasificación he sentido bastante dolor en el pie. Poco a poco, junto a la Clinica Mobile podemos ir bajando la inflamación y no tener tanto dolor. Mañana en el ‘warm up’ intentaré no dar demasiadas vueltas y en carrera, aguantar lo máximo posible al mejor nivel que pueda y dar el 100% como siempre.”

“La clasificación no ha salido como queríamos. Ha habido un poco de desorden porque muchos pilotos iban lentos y ha sido muy complicado cerrar una vuelta rápida. De hecho, cuando hacía los sectores más rápidos, no podía cerrar una buena vuelta. De todas formas, mañana por la mañana en el ‘warm up’, seguiremos trabajando para mejorar la configuración de la moto para poder remontar y divertirnos en la carrera.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Racing riders made their debut today at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, where they completed the first and second free practice of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

Xavi Cardelús had a successful day and finished in 8th position in the combined practice times. The Andorran rider was 4th in the morning and, in the afternoon, he finished 8th despite improving his time by 6 tenths of a second. Cardelús’ best time was 1:36.213.

André Pires had his first taste of the Red Bull Ring. The Portuguese rider suffered from some technical problems which did not allow him to do too many laps to the circuit. Anyway, Pires showed a great progression compared to previous Grand Prix and ended the day in 18th position with a time of 1:38.800.

Tomorrow at 8:15, Cardelús and Pires will take part in the third free practice before the E-Pole of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

“It’s not a bad start to the weekend. We’re eighth, so that’s not bad. My fastest lap was cancelled, and with that lap I would have been sixth. Anyway, we need to stay focused and work hard this afternoon to get a good result in the E-Pole tomorrow.”

André Pires


“I’ve had a good first contact with the circuit and I’m liking it. I trained hard during the summer break and that made me feel more comfortable with the bike and I’m closer to the other riders. We had some technical problems and I wasn’t able to do too many laps, but the team is working to solve them. I’m looking forward to getting back on track and being able to do more laps, because I only managed to do six fast laps.”

Los pilotos de Avintia Esponsorama Racing han debutado hoy en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, donde han completado el primer y el segundo entrenamiento libre del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

Xavi Cardelús ha tenido una jornada exitosa y ha terminado el día en 8ª posición en la clasificación combinada. El piloto andorrano ha sido 4º en la jornada matinal y, por la tarde, ha concluido 8º pese a mejorar su registro en 6 décimas. El mejor tiempo de Cardelús ha sido de 1:36.213.

André Pires ha tenido su primera toma de contacto con el Red Bull Ring. El portugés ha sufrido algunos problemas técnicos que no le han permitido sumar demasiadas vueltas al circuito. Pese a ello, Pires ha mostrado una gran progresión respecto a los anteriores grandes premios y ha cerrado el día en 18ª posición, con un tiempo de 1:38.800.

Mañana a las 8:15, Cardelús y Pires participarán en el tercer entrenamiento libre previo a la E-Pole del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

“No ha sido un mal comienzo del fin de semana. Somos octavos, así que no está nada mal. Mi vuelta más rápida ha sido cancelada, y con esa vuelta hubiera sido sexto. De todas formas, necesitamos seguir centrados y trabajar duro esta tarde para mañana conseguir un buen resultado en la E-Pole.”

André Pires


“He tenido una primera toma de contacto con el circuito muy buena y me está gustando. He entrenado duro durante el parón y eso ha hecho sentirme más cómodo con la moto y estar más cerca del resto de pilotos. Hemos tenido algunos problemas técnicos y no me han permitido dar demasiadas vueltas, aunque el equipo está trabajando para poder solucionarlos. Tengo ganas de volver a la pista y poder dar más vueltas, porque durante los entrenos solamente he cerrado seis vueltas rápidas.”

Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 completed the first day of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich after the first and second free practice sessions.

Carlos Tatay finished 26th in the combined classification. The Valencian rider worked during Friday to find a good feeling with the bike. Tatay set his best time in the first free practice as, in the final stages of the second free practice, rain made its presence felt at the Red Bull Ring.

Elia Bartolini ended the day in 27th position. The Avintia VR46 rider showed great progress from the first to the second session, on a completely new track for him. The best lap time was achieved in the afternoon session.

Tomorrow at 9:00 the third free practice will be held, followed by the qualifying of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, where the starting grid for Sunday’s race will be determined.

“It was a complicated day and we are preparing to see if we are in a position to go out on Sunday and try to be physically fit. When we were about to put the new tyre on, it started to rain and we couldn’t improve our time either. We know where we have to improve and we are going for it.”

“I’m happy with the first day. This morning we had some technical problems with the bike, which didn’t allow us to do many laps and set a good time. In the afternoon, I started to feel better on the bike and we managed to make a step forward. The Red Bull Ring is a very nice circuit, we did a good job with the team and I hope that tomorrow we can make another step.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 han completado el primer día del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich tras disputar el primer y el segundo entrenamiento libre.

Carlos Tatay ha finalizado 26º en la clasificación combinada. El valenciano ha trabajado durante el viernes en encontrar un buen ‘feeling’ con la moto. Tatay ha marcado su mejor tiempo en el primer entrenamiento libre ya que, en los últimos compases del segundo entrenamiento libre, la lluvia ha hecho acto de presencia en el Red Bull Ring.

Elia Bartolini ha cerrado el día en 27ª posición. El piloto del Avintia VR46 ha mostrado un gran progreso desde la primera hasta la segunda sesión, en un trazado totalmente nuevo para él. El mejor registro lo ha logrado en la sesión de la tarde.

Mañana a las 9:00 se disputará el tercer entrenamiento libre y, posteriormente, la clasificación del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, donde se determinará la parrilla de salida para la carrera del domingo.

“Ha sido un día complicado y nos estamos preparando para ver si el domingo estamos en condiciones de salir a carrera e intentar estar bien físicamente. Cuando íbamos a poner el neumático nuevo ha empezado a llover y tampoco hemos podido mejorar nuestro tiempo. Sabemos dónde tenemos que mejorar y vamos a por ello.”

“Estoy contento con el primer día. Esta mañana hemos tenido algunos problemas técnicos en la moto, lo que no nos ha permitido dar muchas vueltas y marcar un buen tiempo. Por la tarde, me he empezado a sentir mejor con la moto y hemos logrado dar un paso adelante. El Red Bull Ring es un circuito muy bonito, hemos hecho un buen trabajo con el equipo y espero que mañana podamos dar otro paso más.”

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia have completed the first two free practice sessions of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg on Friday.

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini ended the first day in Austria in 12th and 13th position respectively in the combined practice times. Both riders set their best times in the morning session, as the second free practice has been held in wet conditions.

Tomorrow at 9:55am the third free practice of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich will start, where Bastianini and Marini will have one last chance to get a position that will allow them to go directly to Q2.

“It was a bit of a strange day as we didn’t expect rain today. This morning we started with the right foot and immediately set a good time. I made some changes to the front of the bike, but the problems didn’t go away, so we’ll keep working on it tomorrow. With the wet track the lap times weren’t quite good and we’re limited on medium wet tyres. Anyway, I did some laps to see how the bike was behaving and to understand what the potential is. We are ready for tomorrow.”

Luca Marini


“We have been working on the bike during FP1 and we found some improvements that will help us for tomorrow. It was a pity that it rained in FP2, because we are a bit limited on the medium wet tyres. We’ll see how FP3 goes, it will be a key session, we have three softs to use and then three time attacks to get a competitive time.”

El Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia han disputado este viernes los dos primeros entrenamientos libres del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini han cerrado el primer día en Austria en 12ª y 13ª posición respectivamente en la clasificación combinada. Ambos pilotos han logrado sus mejores registros en la sesión matinal, ya que el segundo entrenamiento libre se ha disputado en condiciones de mojado.

Mañana a partir de las 9:55 dará comienzo el tercer entrenamiento libre del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, dónde Bastianini y Marini tendrán una última oportunidad para conseguir una posición que les permita acceder directamente a la Q2.

“Ha sido un día un poco extraño ya que hoy no esperábamos lluvia. Esta mañana hemos empezado con el pie derecho y de inmediato hemos conseguido un buen tiempo. He hecho algunos cambios en la parte delantera de la moto, pero los problemas no han acabado de desaparecer, así que mañana seguiremos trabajando en ello. Con la pista mojada los tiempos no han sido del todo buenos y, además, tenemos pocos neumáticos medios de lluvia. De todas maneras, he dado algunas vueltas para ver cómo se comportaba la moto y entender cuál es el potencial. Estamos preparados para mañana.”

“Hemos estado trabajando en la moto durante el FP1 y hemos encontrado algunas mejoras que nos ayudarán para mañana. Ha sido una lástima que haya llovido en el FP2, porque estamos un poco limitados con los neumáticos medios de lluvia. Veremos cómo va el FP3, será una sesión clave, tenemos tres blandos para usar y luego tres vueltas rápidas para lograr un tiempo competitivo.”

The MotoE World Cup lands this weekend at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, where the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, fifth round of the season, will take place.

Xavi Cardelús, currently 18th in the overall standings with 7 points, is having an unlucky season so far. Despite this, the Andorran rider is proving to be fast on the Energica Ego Corsa and is ambitious for Austria, with the main objective of achieving a good result.

André Pires faces a new challenge this weekend. The Avintia Esponsorama Racing rider faces the Austrian Grand Prix with the desire to continue to evolve on the bike and, step by step, to get closer to the front positions of the category. Pires is 16th in the standings with a total of 11 points.

The action at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg for the MotoE riders will start on Friday at 11:50am for the first free practice of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

“I was able to recharge my batteries during the summer break. I’m really looking forward to getting back on the MotoE bike and the Red Bull Ring is a circuit I really like. We will keep working as hard as we have been, even if the results haven’t been what we wanted, but I’m sure we will be rewarded soon.”

“I had a positive break. I have trained a lot, both supermotard and motocross. I’m really looking forward to getting back on the MotoE and seeing if I’ve made any progress. I can’t wait for the weekend to start working. I feel very motivated.”
