El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46, disputarán este fin de semana la 12ª cita de la temporada en el circuito de Silverstone, el Monster Energy British Grand Prix. Dos años después, la competición regresará al mítico trazado británico.

Niccolò Antonelli volverá a la competición tras la lesión que sufrió durante el Gran Premio de Styria, que le ha obligado a perderse las dos últimas carreras. El italiano ha sido declarado ‘apto’ en la revisión médica y podrá disputar el fin de semana en Gran Bretaña.

Carlos Tatay llega a Silverstone, un circuito nuevo para él. El piloto valenciano seguirá trabajando en el proceso de recuperación de su tobillo derecho. Pese al fuerte dolor, Tatay cruzó la línea de meta 16º en Austria después de un fin de semana muy completo.

La acción del Monster Energy British Grand Prix dará comienzo el viernes a las 10:00 (hora española) con los primeros entrenamientos libres.

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini completed the race of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, where the Avintia Esponsorama rider had to retire and the Sky VR46 Avintia rider crossed the finish line in 5th position.

Rain was the main protagonist of Sunday’s race. Although the race was declared dry, from the first lap the stewards showed the white flag, indicating to the riders that they could enter the pit lane to make the bike change. During the race, there were moments when the rain came very lightly, but with 5 laps to go, it came with a lot of intensity.

Unfortunately, Enea Bastianini had to retire due to technical problems. On the sixth lap, the fairing of his bike came off and he was unable to finish the race.

Luca Marini crossed the finish line in an impressive 5th position.When the rain made its appearance with 5 laps to go, Marini decided to not change his bike, as the leading riders did. Finally, after a tense last few laps, he managed to score 11 valuable points.

After a frenetic Sunday at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, MotoGP will travel to Silverstone in two weeks’ time for the Monster Energy British Grand Prix.

“Unfortunately the bike fairing broke and I don’t know why. It’s frustrating because we were competitive and I think we could have had a good result, because yesterday in FP4 I had a very consistent pace. I hope that in the next races we will have more luck. I’m sure that sooner or later, luck will be on our side and we can get the results we deserve.”

“I would say we were close of making history. It was a shame at the end, but I’m happy. It was a weekend where we worked well from the first free practice, the first half of the race in the dry I was fast, I felt good. It was difficult to get away from my rivals because I was losing a bit of distance on the straights. Then, in the rain, I kept my eyes open and started to calculate how much I was going to lose with the bike change and in the end the decision to stay out was the right one. On the last lap it was raining a lot, so I tried to defend myself from the guys on rain tyres and I was close to the podium. I’m a bit disappointed, but satisfied because I was able to keep my nerve and make the right decision at a key moment.”

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini han completado la carrera del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, donde el piloto del Avintia Esponsorama ha tenido que abandonar y el del Sky VR46 Avintia, ha cruzado la línea de meta en 5ª posición.

La lluvia ha sido la protagonista principal del domingo. Pese a que la carrera se ha declarado en seco, desde la primera vuelta los comisarios han mostrado la bandera blanca, indicando a los pilotos que podían entrar al ‘pit lane’ a hacer el cambio de moto a mojado. Durante la carrera, ha habido momentos donde la lluvia ha aparecido de forma muy ligera, pero a falta de 5 vueltas para el final, lo ha hecho con mucha intensidad.

Desafortunadamente, Enea Bastianini ha tenido que abandonar por problemas técnicos. En la sexta vuelta, la quilla y el carenado de su moto se han desprendido y no ha podido finalizar la carrera.

Por su parte, Luca Marini ha cruzado la línea de meta en una impresionante 5ª posición. Cuando la lluvia ha hecho acto de presencia a falta de 5 vueltas, a diferencia de los pilotos de cabeza, Marini ha decidido no cambiar de moto. Finalmente, tras unos últimos giros muy tensos, ha conseguido sumar 11 valiosos puntos.

Tras un domingo frenético en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, MotoGP viajará dentro de dos semanas al mítico trazado de Silverstone, donde se disputará el Monster Energy British Grand Prix.

“Desafortunadamente el carenado de la moto se ha roto y no sé el motivo. Es frustrante porque hemos sido competitivos y creo que podríamos haber conseguido un buen resultado, porque ayer en el FP4 tuve un ritmo muy constante. Espero que en las próximas carreras tengamos más fortuna. Estoy seguro de que tarde o temprano, la suerte estará de nuestro lado y podremos obtener los resultados que merecemos.”

“Diría que hemos estado a punto de hacer historia. Ha sido una pena el final, pero estoy contento. Ha sido un fin de semana en el que hemos trabajado bien desde los primeros entrenamientos libres, la primera mitad de la carrera en seco he sido rápido, me he sentido bien. Me costaba alejarme de mis rivales porque perdía un poco de terreno en las rectas. Luego, bajo la lluvia, me he mantenido alerta y he empezado a calcular cuánto iba a perder con el cambio de moto y al final la decisión de quedarme fuera ha sido la correcta. En la última vuelta estaba lloviendo a cántaros, así que intenté defenderme de los que llevaban neumáticos de lluvia y me he quedado cerca del podio. Estoy un poco decepcionado, pero satisfecho porque he sabido mantener el temple y tomar la decisión correcta en un momento clave.

André Pires and Xavi Cardelús have finished the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, where the Portuguese rider was 16th and the Andorran 18th after a crash.

Cardelús, who started the race in 6th position, was doing a great performance fighting for the front positions. But, on the penultimate lap, he lost control of his Energica Ego Corsa and was unable to avoid a crash that made him lose any chance of a good result. In the end, he crossed the finish line 18th.

André Pires was only half a second away from finishing in the points. The Portuguese rider, who finished 18th in the E-Pole, maintained a good pace throughout the laps, but in a race of only 5 laps, he did not have enough time to make further progress.

The MotoE World Cup will close the season with a double-header at the San Marino Grand Prix, to be held from 17-19 September at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

“It was a good race, although it was too short. At the beginning I struggled a bit because the track was cold and had no grip. Then I got used to it and I kept a good pace, cutting time with the riders in front. In five laps there is not too much to do, but I’m happy with how it went.”

André Pires y Xavi Cardelús han concluido la carrera del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, donde el portugués ha sido 16º y el andorrano 18º tras sufrir una caída.

Cardelús, que arrancaba la carrera en 6ª posición, estaba realizando una gran actuación luchando por las posiciones delanteras. Pero, en la penúltima vuelta, ha perdido el control de su Energica Ego Corsa y no ha podido evitar una caída que le ha hecho perder cualquier opción de lograr un buen resultado. Finalmente, ha cruzado la línea de meta 18º.

André Pires se ha quedado a tan sólo medio segundo de terminar en zona de puntos. El portugués, que obtuvo la 18ª posición en la E-Pole, ha mantenido un buen ritmo durante toda la carrera, pero en una carrera de tan sólo 5 vueltas, no ha tenido suficiente tiempo de seguir remontando.

La Copa del Mundo de MotoE cerrará la temporada con una doble carrera en el Gran Premio de San Marino, que se celebrará del 17 al 19 de septiembre en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

“Ha sido una buena carrera, aunque demasiado corta. Al principio me ha costado un poco ya que el asfalto estaba frío y tenía poco agarre. Después ya me he acostumbrado y he mantenido un buen ritmo, recortando tiempo a los pilotos de delante. En cinco vueltas hay poco que hacer, pero estoy contento por cómo ha ido.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 riders finished the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich race at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, where Tatay and Bartolini crossed the finish line in 16th and 23rd position respectively.

The Valencian rider, who had a great race, was penalised by a long lap penalty for exceeding the track limits. In the end, Tatay finished just one tenth of a second out of the points, after having to deal with the pain in his right foot throughout the laps.

Elia Bartolini could only finish 23rd. In his first time at the Red Bull Ring, the VR46 Academy rider made some mistakes that didn’t allow him to reach the Top-15, despite showing a great progression during the weekend.

The riders of the Moto3 class will prepare for the Monster Energy British Grand Prix, the 12th round of the calendar, at the mythical Silverstone circuit in two weeks.

“The race didn’t go as I expected. I was really looking forward to coming back and having a good race. Yesterday the qualifying went well and we were satisfied, but today things didn’t go as I wanted. The feeling with my foot was not the best and I didn’t feel comfortable with the bike, so in general it was a complicated weekend. What I needed was to get some laps and get back into the rhythm of the race after two months away, but the pain in my foot didn’t allow me from doing that. I hope to be in better condition for Silverstone.”

ELIA BARTOLINI – P23
“Unfortunately the race didn’t go the way we wanted. It was very fast and all the riders were very close. I made some mistakes that didn’t allow me to fight with the second group, but we won experience and I am happy with the progress we made during the weekend. I am satisfied and I want to thank the team for the opportunity.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 han finalizado la carrera del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, dónde Tatay y Bartolini han cruzado la línea de meta en 16ª y 23ª posición respectivamente.

El piloto valenciano, que ha ejecutado una gran carrera, ha sido perjudicado por una ‘long lap penalty’ al superar los límites de la pista. Finalmente, Tatay ha concluido a tan sólo una décima de la zona de puntos, tras tener que lidiar durante toda las vueltas con el dolor de su pie derecho.

Elia Bartolini no ha podido ir más allá de la 23ª posición. En su primera vez en el Red Bull Ring, el piloto de la VR46 Academy ha cometido algunos errores que no le han permitido llegar al Top-15, pese a mostrar una gran progresión durante el fin de semana.

Los pilotos de la categoría de Moto3 disputarán dentro de dos semanas el Monster Energy British Grand Prix, 12ª cita del calendario, en el mítico trazado de Silverstone.

“La carrera no ha salido como esperaba. Tenía mucha ilusión y ganas de volver y de hacer una buena carrera. Ayer la clasificación fue bien y acabamos satisfechos, pero hoy las cosas no han ido como quería. Las sensaciones con el pie no han sido las mejores y tampoco me he sentido a gusto con la moto, en general ha sido un fin de semana complicado. Lo que necesitaba era dar vueltas y volver a coger el ritmo de competición después de dos meses fuera, pero el dolor en el pie me lo impedía. De cara a Silverstone, espero estar en mejores condiciones.”

“Desafortunadamente la carrera no ha ido como queríamos. Ha sido muy rápida y todos los pilotos han estado muy cerca. He cometido algunos errores que no me han permitido luchar con el segundo grupo, pero hemos ganado experiencia y estoy contento del progreso que hemos hecho durante el fin de semana. Estoy satisfecho y quiero dar las gracias al equipo por la oportunidad.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Racing riders took part in the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich E-Pole at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

Xavi Cardelús will start the race on the second row of the grid. The Andorran rider has completed a great lap, with a time of 1:35.704. With this position, Cardelús will have a great opportunity to get a good result in tomorrow’s race.

André Pires had to settle for 18th position. The Portuguese, who was having his best weekend since his debut in the category, exceeded the limits of the track at turn 6 during his qualifying lap. This mistake meant that his time was cancelled.

Los pilotos de Avintia Esponsorama Racing han disputado en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg la E-Pole del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

Xavi Cardelús partirá la carrera en segunda línea de la parrilla de salida. El piloto andorrano ha completado una gran vuelta, con un tiempo de 1:35.704. Con esta posición, Cardelús tendrá una gran oportunidad de conseguir un buen resultado en la carrera de mañana.

Por su parte, André Pires se ha tenido que conformar con la 18ª posición. El portugués, que estaba completando el mejor fin de semana desde su debut en la categoría, ha superado los límites del trazado en la curva 6 durante su vuelta de clasificación. Este error ha hecho que su tiempo quedara anulado.

“Estoy un poco triste por cómo ha ido la E-Pole, pero me siento confiado para la carrera. El entrenamiento libre de esta mañana ha ido bien y he conseguido mejorar mis tiempos. Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini will start the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg in 15th and 17th position respectively, after having to participate in Q1.

Unfortunately, both riders were unable to finish in the top two positions of the session which would have allowed them to fight for pole position in Q2. Bastianini’s best lap was 1:23.790, while Marini’s was 1:23.834.

Tomorrow at 14:00 the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich race will start, where Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia will try to finish with a good result.

“It was a bad day and I think we could have had a better result. In FP4 we were very fast and unfortunately this morning I couldn’t set a good lap because I crashed. Then we had some tyre problems which didn’t allow me to set a good lap either. I’m sure we had the speed to be much higher and to be in Q2. Tomorrow we will start 15th, which is better than last week, although it’s not the result we deserve.”

“I’m a bit angry about the grid position, we could have done better and got into Q2. We knew it was going to be difficult, I was going very fast on my last attempt, but other riders disturbed me. I had to stop accelerating and abort the lap. It’s a pity, because now MotoGP qualifying is also decided in fights like Moto3.”
