The Avintia Esponsorama Racing riders will compete this week in the third round of the MotoE World Cup, the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

For the first time, the Energica Ego Corsa will ride at the Catalan track. André Pires and Xavi Cardelús are very expectant and motivated to face the weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona and with the aim to continue getting good results.

The MotoE riders will take part in the first free practice sessions of the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya on Friday at 11:50am.

“I am very happy to be able to race in Barcelona, which for me feels like my home Grand Prix. It’s a circuit I’ve always liked and I’m looking forward to racing here again after two years. We will keep working on the same line and try to get a good result.”

“I’m ready to get back on the bike. It’s a new circuit for me and I’m looking forward to getting to know it and see how I can get on the MotoE. I’m really looking forward to the first free practice. It will be another Grand Prix where we will have to take it step by step and keep learning. I hope it will be a weekend that will give us a lot of joy.”

Los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama Racing disputarán esta semana la tercera ronda de la Copa del Mundo de MotoE, el Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Por primera vez, las Energica Ego Corsa rodarán en el trazado catalán. André Pires y Xavi Cardelús se muestran muy expectantes y motivados para afrontar el fin de semana en el Circuito de Barcelona y con el objetivo de seguir sumando buenos resultados.

Los pilotos de MotoE disputarán los primeros entrenamientos libres del Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya el viernes a las 11:50.

“Estoy muy contento de poder correr en Barcelona, que para mí es como si fuera mi gran premio de casa. Es un circuito que siempre me ha gustado y tengo muchas ganas de volver a correr aquí después de dos años. Seguiremos trabajando en la misma línea e intentar conseguir un buen resultado.”

André Pires


“Estoy preparado para volver a la moto. Es un circuito nuevo para mí y estoy ansioso de conocerlo y ver como me puedo desenvolver con la MotoE. Tengo muchas ganas de que comiencen los entrenos. Será otro gran premio donde tendremos que ir paso a paso y seguir aprendiendo. Espero que sea un fin de semana que nos dé muchas alegrías.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 team will compete this week at the Circuit de Barcelona for the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Unfortunately, Carlos Tatay will not be present during the weekend due to a fracture in the talus of his right foot after the heavy crash he suffered during the Italian Grand Prix race. The young VR46 Academy rider, Elia Bartolini, will replace the Valencian rider.

Niccolò Antonelli, who had a difficult home Grand Prix, arrives in Barcelona with his batteries recharged and expectations high to complete a good weekend in Montmeló.

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 disputará esta semana en el Circuito de Barcelona el Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Desafortunadamente, Carlos Tatay no estará presente durante el fin de semana debido a una fractura en el astrágalo de su pie derecho tras la fuerte caída que sufrió durante la carrera del Gran Premio de Italia. El joven piloto de la VR46 Academy, Elia Bartolini, será el sustituto del valenciano.

Niccolò Antonelli, que en líneas generales tuvo un gran premio de casa complicado, llega a Barcelona con las pilas cargadas y con las expectativas altas para completar un buen fin de semana en Montmeló.

La acción del Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya dará comienzo el viernes a las 9:00 para disputarse los primeros entrenamientos libres.

The MotoGP World Championship will take place this weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona for the seventh round of the calendar, the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini, who had a difficult weekend in Mugello, face the Grand Prix with the clear objective of continuing to score important points for the team and to keep their great adaptation to the premier class.

El Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP disputará este fin de semana en el Circuito de Barcelona la séptima cita del calendario, el Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini, que tuvieron un fin de semana complicado en Mugello, encaran el gran premio con el claro objetivo de seguir sumando puntos importantes para el equipo y continuar con su gran adaptación a la categoría reina.

La acción dará comienzo el viernes a las 09:55 para disputar los primeros entrenamientos libres del Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

“Barcelona es una pista que me gusta mucho. Será mi primera vez aquí con una MotoGP. Lamentablemente venimos de un fin de semana muy difícil por varios motivos en Mugello, pero estoy seguro de que aquí seremos rápidos. Tenemos que encontrar el equilibrio adecuado el viernes para que todo sea más simple.”

“Es difícil hacer predicciones para Barcelona. Ducati siempre lo ha hecho bien aquí, pero veremos qué neumáticos trae Michelin porque es uno de los circuitos más complicados para el agarre. Tenemos que hacer un buen trabajo de puesta a punto para encontrar un buen balance de la moto.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 finished the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley after a very hard and complicated weekend for the whole motorcycling family after the passing of Jason Dupasquier.

Niccolò Antonelli finished in 13th position. The Italian rider has been fighting throughout the race in the front group and finally crossed the finish line less than a second and a half behind the leader.

Carlos Tatay crashed on the first lap and had to retire. The Valencian rider was involved in an incident when Kofler went to the ground and Tatay could do nothing to avoid colliding with the bike, causing a fracture in his foot.

From Avintia Esponsorama, we want to send our condolences to the family, team, and friends of Jason Dupasquier. Rest in peace.

“I can’t be happy with this race, I didn’t feel good with the bike, but I could have done more. I have to try to improve because this weekend was difficult, also because of the passing of Dupasquier, and in the end everything takes a back seat. Maybe it also determined the concentration. But anyway, now we go to Barcelona and for sure it will be a different weekend.”

“I felt very comfortable on the bike, but unfortunately we were involved in a crash and I couldn’t do anything to avoid crashing. I’ll try to recover so I can be ready for Barcelona. Anyway, today all my thoughts are with Jason’s family, team and friends.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 ha finalizado el Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley tras un fin de semana muy duro y complicado para toda la familia del motociclismo tras el fallecimiento de Jason Dupasquier.

Niccolò Antonelli ha concluido en 13ª posición. El piloto italiano, ha estado durante toda la carrera luchando en el grupo delantero y finalmente ha cruzado la línea de meta a menos de un segundo y medio del líder.

Carlos Tatay no ha podido superar la primera vuelta y ha tenido que abandonar. El valenciano se ha visto envuelto en un incidente cuando, Kofler se ha ido al suelo y Tatay no ha podido hacer nada para evitar colisionar con la moto, ocasionando una fractura en su pie.

Desde el Avintia Esponsorama, queremos enviar nuestro más sentido pésame a la familia, equipo y amigos de Jason Dupasquier. Descanse en paz.

“No puedo estar contento con esta carrera, no me he sentido bien con la moto, pero podría haber hecho más. Tengo que intentar mejorar porque este fin de semana ha sido difícil, también por el fallecimiento de Dupasquier, y al final todo pasa a un segundo plano. Quizás también determinó la concentración. Pero de todas formas ahora vamos a Barcelona y seguro que será un fin de semana diferente.”

“Me he sentido muy cómodo encima de la moto, pero desafortunadamente nos hemos visto perjudicados en una caída y no he podido hacer nada para evitar irme al suelo. Intentaré recuperarme para poder estar bien en Barcelona. De todas formas, hoy todo queda en un segundo plano, todos mis pensamientos están con la familia, equipo y amigos de Jason.”

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini conclude a Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley complex considering all the circumstances that have surrounded the weekend.

Bastianini was unable to see the chequered flag. The Italian suffered a crash during the formation lap after an incident with Zarco. Despite this, Enea was able to return to the pits to start with the second bike, but unfortunately crashed again.

Luca Marini, who did not have a good feeling with the bike during the whole race, crossed the finish line in 17th position.

“Unfortunately, it was a very tough Sunday, starting from the loss of Dupasquier. On the formation lap, coming out of the last corner, I touched with Zarco and I couldn’t do anything to avoid the crash. I tried to get to the pit as fast as possible to take the second bike, but on the first lap I crashed. We’ll try to make up for it in Barcelona and I’ll try to prepare as much as possible because in any case we were fast and competitive.”

“It was a very tough race and we fought hard. We have to work to close the gap. I had a similar problem in Qatar: I couldn’t feel the rear tire and I couldn’t make it work properly. I was losing on corner entry, I was always sideways and I was also losing acceleration. This weekend was something strange that I had never experienced before. The difference with the front was big and we have to understand what happened because we haven’t made any major changes to the bike since Friday.”

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini dan por concluido un Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley muy complejo teniendo en cuenta todas las circunstancias que han rodeado el fin de semana.

Bastianini no ha podido ver la bandera a cuadros. El italiano ha sufrido una caída durante la vuelta de formación tras un incidente con Zarco. Pese a ello, Enea ha podido volver a boxes para salir con la segunda moto, pero desafortunadamente se ha ido al suelo.

Luca Marini, que no ha tenido un buen ‘feeling’ con la moto durante toda la carrera, ha cruzado la línea de meta en 17ª posición.

“Desafortunadamente ha sido un domingo muy duro, partiendo de la pérdida de Dupasquier. En la vuelta de formación, saliendo de la última curva, me encontré a Zarco y no puede hacer nada pare evitar la caída. Traté de llegar al box lo más rápido posible para buscar la segunda moto, pero en la primera vuelta me fui al suelo. Lo intentaremos compensar en Barcelona y me intentaré preparar al máximo porque en cualquier caso hemos sido rápidos y competitivos.”

“Ha sido una carrera muy dura y hemos luchado mucho. Tenemos que trabajar para cerrar la brecha. Tuve un problema similar en Qatar: no sentía el neumático trasero y no podía hacerlo funcionar correctamente. Perdía en la entrada de las curvas, siempre estaba de lado y también perdía aceleración. Este fin de semana fue algo extraño que nunca había experimentado. La diferencia con la parte delantera era muy grande y tenemos que entender lo que ha pasado porque no hemos hecho ningún cambio importante en la moto desde el viernes.”
