Esponsorama Racing returned to action this Friday for the first two free practices of the San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

During the first session, both riders were able to work on the set-up of the Ducati Desmosedici GP19. Johann Zarco finished in a magnificent fourth position after setting a time of 1’33.181. For his part, Tito Rabat stopped the clock at 1’34.619, which allowed him to finish 21st.

Looking ahead to the second session, Zarco took the opportunity to accumulate laps and add up the kilometers to the Italian track. The French rider has managed to improve his morning time by a tenth to finish 14th. Rabat managed to take a step forward and reduced his time by seven tenths after riding 21 laps.

Tomorrow the third and fourth free practices will take place and then the qualifying, where Esponsorama Racing will fight for the best possible starting position for Sunday’s race.

“Today was a good start, I had a good feeling, and I see that I can be fast. I got more pain on my right wrist, more than I expected, so that is why at the afternoon I took some anti-inflammatory and it was better in the afternoon about the pain. The track is good about the grip, because you can get a good confident with the tires, front and rear, to push. I hope I will feel better tomorrow because I feel I can go fastest but I can’t relax me.”

El Esponsorama Racing ha vuelto a la acción este viernes para disputar los dos primeros entrenamientos libres del Gran Premio de San Marino en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Durante la primera sesión, ambos pilotos han podido trabajar en la puesta a punto de la Ducati Desmosedici GP19. Johann Zarco ha concluido en una magnífica cuarta posición tras marcar un tiempo de 1’33.181. Por su parte, Tito Rabat, ha parado el cronómetro en 1’34.619, lo que le ha permitido finalizar 21º.

De cara a la segunda sesión, Zarco ha aprovechado para acumular vueltas y sumar kilómetros al trazado italiano. El piloto francés ha logrado mejorar su registro matinal por una décima para finalizar 14º. Rabat ha conseguido dar un paso adelante y ha rebajado su tiempo por siete décimas tras sumar 21 giros.

Mañana se disputarán los terceros y los cuartos entrenamientos libres y posteriormente la clasificación, donde el Esponsorama Racing luchará por obtener la mejor posición de salida posible para la carrera del domingo.

“Hoy hemos tenido un buen comienzo, tenia buenas sensaciones y he visto que puedo ser rápido. La muñeca derecha me dolía más de lo que esperaba, por eso por la tarde tomé un antiinflamatorio y fue mejor para el dolor. La pista está bien en cuanto al agarre, porque tienes mucha confianza con los neumáticos, tanto delantero como trasero, para empujar. Espero poder sentirme mejor mañana ya que siento que puedo ir más rápido pero no puedo relajarme.”

“Ha sido un día difícil, en el que hemos finalizado a 1.7 de la cabeza en un día soleado y probando el nuevo asfalto. Mañana continuaremos trabajando”

Two weeks after the Grand Prix of Styria, Esponsorama Racing will face this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli the sixth round of the season, the San Marino Grand Prix.

After a great start to the season, Johann Zarco arrives to Misano with the intention of continuing the upward line he is crossing. After the great performances in Brno and Austria, the French rider faces the weekend with optimism to continue achieving good results that will allow him to get important points for the world standings.

Tito Rabat faces the San Marino Grand Prix with a good base thanks to the data collected during the last few races, with the confidence to take a step forward and return to the points.

On Friday at 9:55 Esponsorama Racing will be back in action for the first free practice of the San Marino Grand Prix.

“These weeks at home I have tried to recover my wrist the best as possible, I just coming back very well, I will not say at 100 percent because it is a place that needs time to recover perfectly but much than two weeks ago. I did a good training physically, running a lot, and it’s a good way to understand if you are in a good form or not. So, I will see in Misano, that is a track that I like, I got many times good feelings and good performance so I think with the Ducati is possible to go very fast too, they are many information on this track. I will hope to be at the level to fight to podium like in Czech Republic, the new victories of other riders get me motivated.”

“For the weekend I feel good, these two weeks at home I have not stopped doing things. I have renewed energy, I have rested when I had to rest, and we arrived at Misano, which is a track that I like, it seems that the weather will respect us and it is a good opportunity to solve problems, improve, achieve better results and continue to improve.”

Dos semanas después de la disputa del Gran Premio de Styiria, el Esponsorama Racing afrontará este fin de semana en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli la sexta cita de la temporada, el Gran Premio de San Marino.

Tras un gran arranque de temporada, Johann Zarco llega a Misano con la intención de seguir en la línea ascendente que atraviesa. Tras las grandes actuaciones en Brno y Austria, el piloto francés afronta el fin de semana con optimismo de continuar cosechando buenos resultados que le permitan sumar puntos importantes para la clasificación general.

Tito Rabat, por su parte, afronta el Gran Premio de San Marino con una buena base gracias a los datos recopilados durante las últimas carreras, con la confianza de dar un paso adelante y volver a la zona de puntos.

Será el viernes a partir de las 9:55 cuando el Esponsorama Racing volverá a la acción para disputar los primeros entrenamientos libres del Gran Premio de San Marino.

“Estas semanas en casa he intentado recuperar mi muñeca lo mejor posible, he vuelto muy bien, no diré al 100 por cien porque es un lugar que necesita tiempo y recuperarse perfectamente, pero mucho mejor que hace dos semanas. Hice un buen entrenamiento físico, corriendo mucho, y esta una buena manera de saber si estás en buena forma o no. Entonces, veré en Misano, que es una pista que me gusta, ya que he tenido muchas veces buenas sensaciones aquí, así que creo que con la Ducati es posible ir rápido también, tenemos mucha información en esta pista. Espero estar al nivel para luchar por el podio como en la República Checa, las nuevas victorias de otros pilotos me motivan.”

“Para el fin de semana me veo bien, estas dos semanas en casa no he parado de hacer cosas. He renovado energías, he descansado cuando tocaba, y llegamos a Misano, que es una pista que me gusta, parece ser que el tiempo nos va a respetar y es una buena oportunidad para solucionar problemas, mejorar, hacer mejores resultados y seguir mejorando.”

Esponsorama Racing concluded the Grand Prix of Styria with Johann Zarco and Tito Rabat in 14th and 21st position respectively at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

The fifth round of the season was seemed to take place in wet conditions, but at the end the rain was respected on the Austrian track and the race was declared dry. The race was conditioned by a strong crash of Viñales, which caused a red flag and forced a second race with only twelve laps to go.

Johann Zarco, who started from the pit lane, has scored two valuable and hard-fought points. The pain in his right hand has respected him during the race and the Frenchman has managed to cross the finish line inside the points zone after completing a great comeback.

For his part, Tito Rabat had to settle for 21st position, just four seconds from the ‘top-15’.

After three consecutive races Esponsorama Racing will be able to rest and continue working to return stronger to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, which will host the San Marino Grand Prix on September 11th, 12th and 13th.

“I’m happy. During the race I’ve been fighting for getting the best pace possible and to gain positions and I need six laps to catch the group. At some moment of the race I felt some pain on my hand but during de red flag I could put some cold. The restart was good with all the group, but I still need to improve on the overtaking because I need to wait too much behind the gas. I am proud of my team. It was a good fight and at the end with Quartararo I overtook him, but he was very strong on brakes. I am happy because it has been a tough week and finally, I get into the points. Now it’s time to understand all these things and come back stronger at Misano.”

“It’s been a race from which we can take positive things. We have been able to follow the group, I have seen that where we lose a little time is in the first meters in acceleration and we have to work to be able to solve it. We know which way we have to go and we will come back stronger at Misano.”

El Esponsorama Racing ha concluido el Gran Premio de Styria, con Johann Zarco y Tito Rabat en 14ª y 21ª posición respectivamente en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

La quinta cita de la temporada se presentaba con la posibilidad de disputarse en mojado, pero finalmente la lluvia ha respetado en el trazado austríaco y la carrera ha sido declarada en seco. La prueba se ha visto condicionada por una fuerte caída de Viñales, lo que ha provocado una bandera roja y ha obligado a disputar una segunda carrera a tan sólo doce vueltas.

Johann Zarco, que arrancaba desde el ‘pit lane’, ha sumado dos valiosos y luchados puntos. El dolor en su mano derecha le ha respetado durante la carrera y el francés ha logrado cruzar la línea de meta dentro de la zona de puntos tras culminar una gran remontada.

Por su parte, Tito Rabat ha tenido que conformarse con la 21ª posición, a tan sólo cuatro segundos del ‘top-15’.

Tras tres carreras consecutivas, el Esponsorama Racing podrá descansar y seguir trabajando para volver más fuerte al Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, que albergará el Gran Premio de San Marino durante los días 11, 12 y 13 de septiembre.

“Estoy feliz. Durante la carrera he estado luchando por conseguir el mejor ritmo posible y ganar posiciones y he necesitado seis vueltas para alcanzar al grupo. En algún momento de la carrera he sentido un poco de dolor en la mano, pero durante la bandera roja pude enfriar un poco la zona. La reanudación fue buena con todo el grupo, pero todavía tengo que mejorar en los adelantamientos. Estoy orgulloso de mi equipo. Ha sido una buena pelea y al final con Quartararo lo adelanté, pero era muy fuerte en la frenada y al final ha acabado por delante. Estoy contento porque ha sido una semana difícil y finalmente, he entrado en los puntos. Ahora es el momento de entender todas estas cosas y volver más fuerte en Misano”.

“Ha sido una carrera de la cuál podemos sacar cosas positivas. Hemos podido seguir al grupo, he podido ver que donde perdemos un poco de tiempo es en los primeros metros en aceleración y nos toca trabajar para poder solucionarlo. Sabemos en qué dirección tenemos que ir y volveremos más fuertes en Misano.”
