Reale Avintia Moto3 and Carlos Tatay concluded the sixth round of the season for the category, the Grand Prix of Styria, in 21st position at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

After achieving the 23rd best time in qualifying yesterday, Carlos Tatay managed to make a great start that made him recover five positions in the first lap, which allowed him to place 18th. With thirteen laps to go and fighting to reach the points, the Valencian rider was given a long lap penalty for exceeding the track’s limits, which relegated him to the rear positions. Despite this, Tatay did not give up and managed to cross the finish line in 21st place, less than eight seconds from the top-15.

After three consecutive races, the Reale Avintia Moto3 and Carlos Tatay will be able to rest and continue working to return stronger to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, which will host the San Marino Grand Prix on September 11th, 12th and 13th.

“It was a complicated Sunday, in the warm-up but above all in the race I had a very good feeling, the team gave me a very good bike. But due to circumstances we didn’t qualify well yesterday, we started very far back. In the first few laps I had a lot of touches with several riders and the front group slipped away from me. I think the end of the race was positive because I got back on the bike and I think we have a good base to go to Misano. El Reale Avintia Moto3 y Carlos Tatay han concluido la sexta cita de la temporada para la categoría, el Gran Premio de Styria, en 21ª posición en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

Después de conseguir el 23º mejor registro en la sesión clasificatoria en el día de ayer, Carlos Tatay ha conseguido ejecutar una gran arrancada que le ha hecho recuperar cinco posiciones en la primera vuelta, lo que le ha permitido colocarse 18º. A falta de trece vueltas para el final y luchando por alcanzar la zona de puntos, el piloto valenciano ha sido sancionado con una ‘long lap penalty’ por exceder los límites de la pista, lo que ha relegado a las posiciones traseras. Pese a ello, Tatay no ha tirado la toalla y ha logrado cruzar la línea de meta 21º, a menos de ocho segundos del top-15.

Tras tres carreras consecutivas, el Reale Avintia Moto3 y Carlos Tatay podrán descansar y seguir trabajando para volver más fuertes al Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, que albergará el Gran Premio de San Marino durante los días 11, 12 y 13 de septiembre.

“Ha sido un domingo complicado, en el ‘warm-up’ pero sobre todo en la carrera he tenido muy buenas sensaciones, el equipo me ha dejado muy buena moto. Pero por circunstancias ayer no clasificamos bien, hemos salido muy atrás, en las primeras vueltas he tenido muchos toques con varios pilotos y se me ha escapado el grupo delantero. Creo que el final de carrera ha sido positivo porque me he reencontrado con la moto y creo que tenemos una gran base para llegar a Misano. Muchísimas gracias al equipo por el trabajo que ha hecho y en Misano más.”

Carlos Tatay will start 23rd in the race of the Styrian Grand Prix, the second race he will do in the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

Carlos Tatay partirá 23º en la carrera del Gran Premio de Styria, segunda carrera que disputará en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

El piloto valenciano del Reale Avintia Moto3 tras completar los tres entrenamientos libres logró la 23ª posición de la tabla de tiempos combinados, por lo que ha tenido que disputar la Q1. Tras marcar un mejor registro de 1’37.585, Tatay no ha podido colocarse en las posiciones que dan el paso a la Q2 y ha tenido que conformarse con la octava línea de la parrilla de salida.

Mañana a las 11:00 dará comienzo la carrera del Gran Premio de Estiria, donde Carlos Tatay intentará remontar y alcanzar las posiciones de puntos.

“Ha sido un día muy positivo en el que hemos descartado muchas cosas, creo que nos ha servido para poder reflexionar, mirar nuestros puntos débiles y estamos listos para mañana. After qualifying sessions of the Styrian Grand Prix, Esponsorama Racing will start tomorrow’s race at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg with Johann Zarco starting from pit lane and Tito Rabat in 22nd place.

In the third free practice, Johann Zarco has gone on track to test physically after the operation, getting to finish the session in 12th place just eighty-four thousandths of the cut. Rabat, on the other hand, could not improve yesterday’s time and finished 22nd in the combined table. In FP4, the Spanish rider has continued to work ahead of tomorrow’s race, but his team-mate has decided to reserve his right wrist for the qualifying session.

Both riders had to compete in the Q1, on the one hand, Tito Rabat had set a time of 1’24.916 that will allow him to leave in 22nd position. Johann Zarco, for his part, has from the beginning fought for the two best positions that allow the pass to Q2, getting the best time of the session with a time of 1’23.609. Despite knowing that tomorrow will start the race from pit lane, Zarco wanted to make a good classification and so it has been. The French rider has taken third place on the grid after being operated on Wednesday morning by his right wrist.

Tomorrow at 14:00 will start the MotoGP race of the Styrian Grand Prix in which our riders will give the maximum.


“Today I had the maximum concentration to make a good time, I am very happy with this third position. Since this morning when I have left pit lane, I have felt that the pain is not unbearable, so I have been able to make few laps, but of quality. All day long I’ve been focused on doing a good riding style. From my point of view, today I have learned a lot about the bike, and I think I can take a step in the next race.”


“What happened over the weekend is not very normal. In FP1 with used tires I rode in 1’24.8 and although I fell it was without consequences. Then during the weekend, we could not return to do this, we got a 24.9 in the classification. I am convinced that my entire team is working well, I am focused and working well, but I am not able to find that it fails. Tras las sesiones clasificatorias del Gran Premio de Styria, el Esponsorama Racing arrancará la carrera de mañana en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg con Johann Zarco partiendo de pit lane y Tito Rabat en la 22ª posición.

En el tercer entreno libre, Johann Zarco ha salido a pista para probarse físicamente tras la operación, consiguiendo finalizar la sesión 12º a tan solo ochenta y cuatro milésimas del corte. Rabat por su parte no pudo mejorar el tiempo del día de ayer y finalizó 22º en la tabla combinada. En el FP4, el piloto español ha continuado trabajando de cara a la carrera de mañana, pero su compañero de equipo ha decidido reservar su muñeca derecha para la sesión de clasificación.

Ambos pilotos han tenido que disputar la Q1, por un lado Tito Rabat ha marcado un tiempo de 1’24.916 que le permitirá salir en 22ª posición. Johann Zarco por su parte, desde un principio ha luchado por las dos mejores posiciones que permiten el pase a la Q2, consiguiendo el mejor tiempo de la sesión con un crono de 1’23.609. A pesar de saber que mañana comenzará la carrera desde pit lane, Zarco quería realizar una buena clasificación y así ha sido. El piloto francés ha conseguido la tercera posición de la parrilla después de haber sido operado el miércoles por la mañana de su muñeca derecha.

Mañana a las 14:00 comenzará la carrera de MotoGP del Gran Premio de Estiria en la cual nuestros pilotos darán el máximo.


“Hoy he tenido la concentración máxima para realizar un buen tiempo, estoy muy contento con esta tercera posición. Desde esta mañana cuando he salido de pit lane he sentido que el dolor no es insoportable, por lo que he podido realizar pocas vueltas, pero de calidad. Durante todo el día he estado concentrado en realizar un estilo de pilotaje bueno. Desde mi punto de vista hoy he aprendido mucho sobre la moto y pienso que puedo dar un paso en la próxima carrera.”


“Lo que ha pasado durante el fin de semana no es muy normal. En el FP1 con neumáticos usados rodé en 1’24.8 y aunque me caí fue sin consecuencias. Luego durante el fin de semana no hemos podido volver ha hacer esto, hemos conseguido un 24,9 en la clasificación. Estoy convencido que todo mi equipo está trabajando bien, yo estoy concentrado y estoy trabajando bien, pero no soy capaz de encontrar que falla. La parte buena de todo esto es que al menos me estoy divirtiendo, que estamos dando el máximo y superándonos, pero a ver como evoluciona la situación. Mañana en carrera nos olvidaremos de todo lo externo y seguiremos aprendiendo.”

Reale Avintia Moto3 and Carlos Tatay completed the first day of free practices for the Styrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

In the morning session, Carlos Tatay finished in 14th position after setting a time of 1’37.032. Thanks to 18 laps, and the experience gained during last Sunday’s race, the Valencian rider has managed to improve his best time last weekend by almost three tenths.

During the afternoon, Tatay did not manage to reduce his morning time, which moved him to 18th place in the combined times table. Despite not improving the time, the young 17-years-old continues to accumulate kilometers to continue with the work of adapting to his KTM.

Tomorrow the third free practice session and the qualifying session of the Styrian Grand Prix will be held in the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, where the whole team will fight to obtain the best possible position for Sunday’s race.

El Reale Avintia Moto3 y Carlos Tatay han completado el primer día de entrenamientos libres de este Gran Premio de Styria en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

En la sesión matinal, Carlos Tatay ha finalizado en 14ª posición tras marcar un tiempo de 1’37.032. Gracias a las 18 vueltas, y a la experiencia adquirida durante la carrera del domingo pasado, el piloto valenciano ha conseguido mejorar casi en tres décimas su mejor registro del fin de semana pasado.

Durante la tarde, Tatay no ha conseguido rebajar su tiempo de la mañana, lo que le ha trasladado a la 18ª posición de la tabla combinada de tiempos. Pese a no mejorar el crono, el joven piloto de 17 años continúa acumulando kilómetros para seguir con el trabajo de adaptación a su KTM.

Mañana se disputarán en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg los terceros entrenamientos libres y la sesión clasificatoria del Gran Premio de Styria, donde todo el equipo luchará por obtener la mejor posición posible de cara a la carrera del domingo.

Creo que mañana podemos hacer un gran trabajo, hoy nos ha faltado cuadrar una buena vuelta para hacer un buen tiempo y estar en la Q2 pero mañana tenemos otra oportunidad y volveremos a intentarlo. Esponsorama Racing has completed the first day of the Styrian Grand Prix with a single rider in the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

In the morning session, Tito Rabat has hit the track with energy to continue squeezing his Ducati to the fullest. Despite the session, the Spanish rider finished in 19th place less than a second behind the leader.

In the afternoon, the Catalan could not improve his morning record thus ending the day in the 20th position. Despite not improving, his time of 1’24.806 is three tenths better than last weekend’s best time, showing that his feelings on the bike are getting better.

As for Johann Zarco, today was a singular day. At the end of the first free practice of MotoGP it was known that the Gaul will have to start the next race from the pit lane due to the last Sunday’s incident with Franco Morbidelli. The good news of the day is that Johann Zarco has been declared fit to compete in this Grand Prix of Styria.

Tomorrow at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg will take place the third and fourth free practices and qualifying for Sunday’s race, where the team will fight for the best possible position.

El Esponsorama Racing ha completado el primer día del Gran Premio de Styria con un sólo piloto en pista en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

En la sesión de la mañana, Tito Rabat ha salido a pista con energía para continuar exprimiendo al máximo su Ducati. Pese a una caída sin consecuencias durante la sesión, el piloto español ha terminado en 19ª posición a menos de un segundo del líder.

Por la tarde, el catalán no ha podido mejorar su registro de la mañana finalizando así el día en la 20ª posición. Pese a no mejorar, su tiempo de 1’24.806 es tres décimas mejor que el mejor tiempo del fin de semana pasado, demostrando así que sus sensaciones encima de la moto cada vez son mejores.

Respecto a Johann Zarco, hoy ha sido un día singular por no poder subirse a la moto. Al fin de la primera sesión de entrenamientos libres de MotoGP se conocía que el galo tendrá que salir de pit lane la próxima carrera debido al incidente del domingo pasado junto a Franco Morbidelli. La buena noticia del día es que Johann ha recibido el apto para poder disputar este Gran Premio de Styria.

Mañana en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg se disputarán el tercer y cuarto entrenamiento libre y la clasificación para la carrera del domingo, donde el equipo luchará por obtener la mejor posición posible.


“Por la mañana ha sido un buen entreno, he salido ha pista y he tirado, terminando a 9 décimas del primer clasificado. Pero por la tarde nos ha costado un poco más, aunque de todas maneras vamos a probar a ver si me pueden ayudar con la electrónica y poder así acelerar más en los primeros metros que es lo que me falta.”


“Sobre el día de hoy, lo positivo es que soy apto para correr mañana y esto es muy importante. Es cierto que mi muñeca está mejorando muy rápido y estoy feliz con eso. Así que claramente es una buena oportunidad de correr para tener algunas sensaciones y poder disfrutar en la moto. Creo que tendré algo de dolor y voy a ver cómo puedo controlar este dolor, pero es bueno intentarlo. Estoy feliz con el chequeo médico ya que me dijeron que podría correr, y también, estoy feliz con la sanción. Estaba pensando en hacer una apelación a la FIM, pero es un poco difícil y sería volver al problema incluso más tarde. Y en el caso de que mi apelación no sea aceptada, mi situación no seria buena por lo que prefiero resolver esta penalización y salir del pit lane este fin de semana, cerrando así la historia. Mejor hacerlo de esta manera y luego dar lo mejor de mí en las carreras de Misano.”
