El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy han finalizado con éxito la carrera del Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve en Portimao.

Niccolò Antonelli ha subido al podio por cuarta vez esta temporada. El italiano, que salía desde la tercera línea de la parrilla, ha completado una carrera caótica de manera muy inteligente. En la última vuelta, beneficiado por una caída múltiple delante de él, Antonelli ha lanzado un último ataque que le ha permitido alzarse con el tercer cajón del podio.

Por su parte, Carlos Tatay ha ejecutado una gran remontada desde la 26ª posición. El valenciano ha confirmado esta mañana en el ‘warm up’ las buenas sensaciones tras finalizar 6º y, en la carrera, ha sido capaz de recuperar hasta 14 posiciones para cruzar la línea de meta 12º.

Después de un domingo muy positivo, el Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy pondrán rumbo al Circuito Ricardo Tormo, donde se disputará la última cita de la temporada dentro de una semana.

“Ha sido una carrera espectacular y a la vez muy loca. En la última vuelta estaba fuera del podio, pero ha habido una caída delante de mí y estaba en una buena posición que me ha permitido adelantar a varios pilotos. Estoy muy contento con esta 3ª posición porque ha sido un fin de semana que hemos sufrido bastante con la moto, así que estamos satisfechos con este resultado.”

“Ha sido un buen fin de semana y me he sentido bien encima de la moto. Fue una pena la clasificación de ayer, pero en la carrera hemos hecho una buena salida y he conseguido una posición muy positiva. Ahora toca pensar en la última carrera, será mi gran premio de casa e intentaré disfrutar al máximo delante de mi afición para conseguir un buen resultado.”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing and Sky VR46 Avintia have completed the the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve qualifying at Portimao.

Enea Bastianini will start from 13th position. Unfortunately, the Italian missed the Q2 by just one tenth of a second. Nevertheless, Bastianini has made an important step forward compared to yesterday and will start from a good position to fight for an ambitious result in tomorrow’s race.

Luca Marini made it through into Q2 again after a good free practice sessions and will start from 12th position. In the first stages of qualifying, the Sky VR46 Avintia rider suffered a crash that forced him to return to the pits to take the second bike. In the end, Marini had to settle for the fourth row of the grid.

Tomorrow at 14:00 (CET+1), the penultimate race of the season will start, where Bastianini and Marini will try to get a good result for the team.

“I’m quite happy because we improved, although it was a pity not to get into Q2. We keep losing time in the last sector, I can’t do it the way I want and I always lose those 2 or 3 tenths that compromise my lap time. I have to try to understand what changes I have to make for tomorrow. The important thing is that we are fast and we have improved compared to yesterday. We will have to think about the tyre choice as it will be crucial.”

“Qualifying was a pity, because we had a very good potential today. In the first run, I didn’t have a great feeling with the front tyre, I didn’t feel comfortable and I crashed. I went straight to the pits, but in the second bike I had the soft tyre on the front because I didn’t have any other mediums available. Unfortunately, with this type of tyre it is really difficult to find a good performance on this track. Overall, so far, it’s been a good weekend. We will analyse with data to choose the best tyres for tomorrow’s race.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Racing y el Sky VR46 Avintia han completado la clasificación del Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve en Portimao.

Enea Bastianini arrancará desde la 13ª posición. Desafortunadamente, el italiano no ha podido superar el corte de la Q1 por tan sólo una décima. Pese a ello, Bastianini ha dado un paso adelante importante respecto al día de ayer y partirá desde una buena posición para pelear por un resultado ambicioso en la carrera de mañana.

Por su parte, Luca Marini ha conseguido de nuevo entrar en la Q2 directamente tras completar unos buenos entrenamientos libres y saldrá desde la 12ª posición. En los primeros instantes de la clasificación, el piloto del Sky VR46 Avintia ha sufrido una caída que le ha obligado a volver a boxes para coger la segunda moto. Finalmente, Marini se ha tenido que conformar con la cuarta línea de la parrilla de salida.

Mañana a las 14:00 (CET+1), dará comienzo la penúltima carrera de la temporada, donde Bastianini y Marini tratarán de conseguir un buen resultado para el equipo.

“Estoy bastante contento porque hemos mejorado, aunque ha sido una lástima no entrar a la Q2. Seguimos perdiendo tiempo en el último sector, no puedo hacerlo como quiero y siempre pierdo esas 2 o 3 décimas que comprometen mi tiempo de vuelta. Tengo que intentar entender qué cambios debo de hacer para mañana. Lo importante es que somos rápidos y hemos mejorado respecto a ayer. Tendremos que pensar en la elección de los neumáticos ya que será crucial.”

“La clasificación ha sido una lástima, porque hoy teníamos un potencial muy bueno. En la primera tanda, no he tenido un gran feeling con el neumático delantero, no me he sentido cómodo y me he ido al suelo. He ido directamente al box, pero en la segunda moto llevaba el blando delante porque no tenía más medios disponibles. Desafortunadamente, con este tipo de neumático es realmente difícil encontrar un buen rendimiento en este circuito. En general, hasta ahora, está siendo un buen fin de semana. Analizaremos los datos para elegir el mejor compuesto para la carrera de mañana.”

Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy finished the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve qualifying at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

Niccolò Antonelli, who didn’t get direct access to Q2 after the free practice sessions, qualified in the top 4 in Q1. In Q2, with a time of 1:47.774, the VR46 Academy rider was 8th, which will allow him to start tomorrow’s race from the third row.

Carlos Tatay was unable to go through the Q1 cut. The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 rider will start from the ninth row with the objective of reaching the points positions in the race.

Tomorrow at 12:20 (CET+1), the penultimate race of 2021 in the Moto3 class will start, where Antonelli and Tatay will try to get a good result for the team.

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy han finalizado la clasificación del Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve en el Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

Niccolò Antonelli, que no ha conseguido el acceso directo a la Q2 tras los entrenamientos libres, se ha clasificado dentro del top 4 en la Q1. Ya en la Q2, con un tiempo de 1:47.774, el piloto de la VR46 Academy ha logrado una 8ª posición que le permitirá arrancar la carrera de mañana desde la tercera fila.

Por su parte, Carlos Tatay no ha podido superar el corte de la Q1. El piloto del Avintia Esponsorama Racing partirá desde la novena línea con el objetivo de llegar a la zona de puntos en la carrera.

Mañana a las 12:20 (CET+1), dará comienzo la penúltima carrera de 2021 de la categoría de Moto3, donde Antonelli y Tatay tratarán de conseguir un buen resultado para el equipo.

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini finished Friday at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve after the first two free practice sessions of the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve.

With a time of 1:40.467, Bastianini was 16th in the combined practice times. The Italian was able to complete the first laps of the weekend at the Portuguese track. The Avintia Esponsorama Racing rider will have one last chance tomorrow to get a position that will give him direct access to Q2.

Luca Marini ended the first day at the Algarve 15th in the combined practice times with a best time of 1:40.323. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider was satisfied with the work done during the first day at Portimao.

Tomorrow will be the third and fourth free practice before qualifying for the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve, where Bastianini and Marini will try to get a good position for the starting grid of Sunday’s race.

“I was expecting a bit more, we are having more problems than expected and I still can’t ride like I want to. In the afternoon with the wind, it made the bike move a lot and I couldn’t put in a good lap. From tomorrow we will keep working to improve, especially in the second and fourth sector, which is where I lose more time. Normally, the corner entry is my strong point, but here I have to ‘fight’ with the bike to get it. Tomorrow will be a new day and we will try to get a good result.”

“This morning, in FP1, I had a good feeling with the bike, but in the afternoon with the wind, I struggled to keep the pace and in the last run I had very little confidence with the rear tyre. Anyway, we are confident for tomorrow, we are close to the Top 10, which is our goal, and we are not going to make any changes to the bike. We have shown that we can be fast in these conditions.”

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini han concluido el viernes en el Autódromo Internacional do Algarve tras disputar los dos primeros entrenamientos libres del Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve.

Con un tiempo de 1:40.467, Bastianini ha sido 16º en la clasificación combinada. El italiano ha podido completar las primeras vueltas del fin de semana al trazado portugués. El piloto del Avintia Esponsorama Racing tendrá mañana una última oportunidad para conseguir una posición que le de el acceso directo a la Q2.

Por su parte, Luca Marini ha cerrado la primera jornada en el Algarve 15º en la clasificación combinada, con un mejor tiempo de 1:40.323. El piloto del Sky VR46 Avintia se ha mostrado satisfecho con el trabajo realizado durante el primer día en Portimao.

Mañana se disputará el tercer y cuarto entrenamiento libre previo a la clasificación del Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve, donde Bastianini y Marini tratarán de obtener una buena posición para la parrilla de salida de la carrera del domingo.

“Esperaba un poco más, estamos teniendo más problemas de lo esperado y todavía no puedo pilotar como quiero. Por la tarde con el viento, ha hecho que la moto se moviera mucho y no haya podido cerrar una buena vuelta. A partir de mañana seguiremos trabajando para mejorar, sobre todo en el segundo y el cuarto sector, que es donde pierdo más tiempo. Normalmente, la entrada a curva suele ser mi punto fuerte pero, en cambio, aquí tengo que ‘pelear’ con la moto para conseguirlo. Mañana será un nuevo día e intentaremos conseguir un buen resultado.”

“Esta mañana, en el FP1, he tenido buenas sensaciones con la moto, pero por la tarde con el viento, me ha costado mantener el ritmo y en la última tanda he tenido muy poca confianza con el neumático trasero. De todos modos, tenemos confianza para mañana, estamos cerca del Top 10, que es nuestro objetivo, y no vamos a hacer cambios en la moto. Hemos demostrado que podemos ser rápidos en estas condiciones.”

Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy finished the first day of the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

Niccolò Antonelli finished 6th in the combined practice after the first two free practice sessions, which puts him in provisional positions for direct access to Q2. The VR46 Academy rider set a best time of 1:48.521, set during the afternoon session.

Carlos Tatay finished 13th in the free practice results, a position that would allow him to qualify directly for Q2. The Valencian rider felt comfortable on his bike and felt no pain in his ankle, after the problems it caused him during the race of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Tatay set his best time of the day in the second free practice, stopping the clock at 1:48.970.

Tomorrow at 10:00 (CET+1) the third free practice of the Moto3 class will start, before to the qualifying of the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve.

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy han finalizado el primer día del Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve en el Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

Niccolò Antonelli ha concluído 6º en la clasificación combinada tras los dos primeros entrenamientos libres, lo que le coloca en posiciones provisionales de acceso directo a la Q2. El piloto de la VR46 Academy ha marcado un mejor tiempo de 1:48.521, conseguido durante la sesión de la tarde.

Por su parte, Carlos Tatay ha finalizado 13º en la clasificación combinada, posición que le permitiría disputar la Q2 de manera directa. El piloto valenciano se ha sentido cómodo encima de su moto y sin notar dolor en su tobillo, después de los problemas que le causó durante la carrera del Gran Premio de la Emilia Romagna. Tatay ha marcado su mejor registro del día en el segundo entrenamiento libre, parando el cronómetro en 1:48.970.

Mañana a las 10:00 (CET+1) dará comienzo el tercer entrenamiento libre de la categoría de Moto3, previo a la clasificación del Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve.

Avintia Esponsorama Racing and Sky VR46 Avintia will compete this weekend in the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve, the penultimate round of the calendar and, for the second time this season, will be held in Portimao.

Enea Bastianini is 13th in the world standings, with a total of 87 points and provisionally the best rookie of the year. The Italian took his second podium of the season in Misano and will be looking to continue his good form in Portugal to repeat another great result.

Luca Marini is 20th with 37 points. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider arrives at Portimao motivated after a very complete weekend in Italy, where he achieved his best qualifying result and a superb 9th position in the race.

Tomorrow from 10:55 (CET+1) Bastianini and Marini will complete the first free practice of the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve.

“Second Grand Prix at Portimao. Since then, I have won experience with the MotoGP bike, it’s a circuit I like and I can go fast here. In the last races we have done a great job and we want to continue in this line. Every day I feel more comfortable on the bike and in this category you need to be 100% for the whole weekend. “We are coming from a period of growth, improvement and a solid weekend in Misano. It is important to continue in this direction at Portimao, a track I like and where we have already raced this year. The goal is to get closer to the group and keep moving up positions in the race.”
