El Avintia Esponsorama Racing y el Sky VR46 Avintia disputarán este fin de semana el Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve, penúltima cita del calendario y, por segunda vez esta temporada, se llevará a cabo en Portimao,

Enea Bastianini es 13º en la clasificación general, sumando un total de 87 puntos y siendo el mejor ‘rookie’ del año provisionalmente. El italiano consiguió en Misano su segundo podio de la temporada y, en Portugal, quiere seguir aprovechando su gran estado de forma para repetir otro gran resultado.

Por su parte, Luca Marini es 20º con 37 puntos. El piloto del Sky VR46 Avintia llega motivado a Portimao después de un fin de semana muy completo en Italia, donde logró su mejor resultado en clasificación siendo 3º y una magnífica 9ª posición en carrera.

Mañana a partir de las 10:55 (CET+1), Bastianini y Marini completarán el primer entrenamiento libre del Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve.

“Segundo Gran Premio en Portimao. Desde entonces, he ganado experiencia con la MotoGP, es un circuito que me gusta y puedo ir rápido aquí. En las últimas carreras hemos hecho un gran trabajo y queremos continuar en esta línea. Cada día me siento más cómodo encima de la moto y en esta categoría es necesario estar al 100% durante todo el fin de semana. Estamos preparados.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and the Avintia VR46 Academy arrive this weekend for the second time this year in Portimao and will compete the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve, the penultimate round of the 2021 season.

Niccolò Antonelli returns to Portugal as 7th in the Moto3 world standings. The Italian was 6th in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix after taking pole position. The VR46 Academy rider will be looking for another good result in Portimao.

Carlos Tatay is 22nd in the world standings with 28 points. The Valencian rider had a difficult weekend in Misano, where he was unable to complete the race as he suffered again from his ankle injury with 11 laps to go. Tatay will be looking for a return to the points at Portimao.

On Friday from 10:00 (CET+1), Antonelli and Tatay will contest the first free practice of the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve.

“This weekend, as always, we will try to start strong from the first day. It looks like we will have a sunny weekend and therefore we will have time to work. The aim will be to be in the top five on Sunday, so we will have to do a good job and get a good qualifying result.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy aterrizan este fin de semana por segunda vez este año en Portimao y afrontarán el Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve, penúltima cita de la temporada 2021.

Niccolò Antonelli regresa a Portugal como 7º clasificado en la clasificación general de Moto3. El italiano fue 6º en el Gran Premio de la Emilia Romagna tras conseguir la pole position. El piloto de la VR46 Academy buscará otro buen resultado en Portimao.

Por su parte, Carlos Tatay es 22º en la clasificación con 28 puntos. El piloto valenciano tuvo un fin de semana complicado en Misano, donde no pudo completar la carrera ya que se resintió de su lesión en el tobillo a falta de 11 vueltas para el final. Tatay buscará en Portimao regresar a la zona de puntos.

El viernes a partir de las 10:00 (CET+1), Antonelli y Tatay disputarán el primer entrenamiento libre del Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve.

“Este fin de semana, como siempre, intentaremos empezar fuerte desde el primer día. Parece que tendremos un fin de semana soleado y, por lo tanto, tendremos tiempo para trabajar. El objetivo será estar en el top 5 el domingo, así que deberemos de hacer un buen trabajo y conseguir un buen resultado en la clasificación.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy finished the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Niccolò Antonelli was unable to turn pole position into victory. The Italian rider, who dominated most of the race, made a small mistake with 12 laps to go when he was in first position, which made him lose his chances of victory. In the end, Antonelli finished 6th.

Carlos Tatay was forced to retire with 11 laps to go before the chequered flag. The Valencian rider has suffered some pain from his ankle injury and was unable to finish the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix race.

Niccolò Antonelli and Carlos Tatay will now head to the Algarve International Circuit, where the Grande Prémio do Algarve, the penultimate round of the season, will be held in two weeks’ time.

“The start of the race was good and everything was going well. I made a small mistake and from that moment, the feeling with the rear was strange. From then on, I didn’t have the pace I had at the start of the race. It was difficult in general, as we hadn’t ridden in dry conditions all weekend. It was a lottery, but we still managed to get a good sixth position.”

“A complicated day. Halfway through the race I felt that my foot couldn’t take the effort, I started to lose mobility and I decided to retire. It wasn’t our weekend, but we’ll keep working for the two races to come.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy han finalizado la carrera del Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Niccolò Antonelli no ha podido transformar la ‘pole position’ en victoria. El piloto italiano, que ha dominado gran parte de la carrera, ha cometido un pequeño error a falta de 12 vueltas para el final cuando rodaba en 1ª posición, que le ha hecho perder las opciones de victoria. Finalmente, Antonelli ha finalizado 6º.

Por su parte, Carlos Tatay ha tenido que abandonar a falta de 11 vueltas para ver la bandera a cuadros. El piloto valenciano se ha vuelto a resentir de la lesión en su tobillo y no ha podido terminar la carrera del Gran Premio de la Emilia Romagna.

“El comienzo de la carrera ha sido bueno y todo estaba yendo bien. He cometido un pequeño error y desde ese momento las sensaciones con la parte trasera han sido extrañas. A partir de ahí, no he tenido el ritmo del inicio de carrera. Ha sido complicado en general, ya que en todo el fin de semana aún no habíamos corrido en condiciones de seco. Ha sido una lotería aunque ,de todas formas, hemos conseguido una buena sexta posición.”

“Un día complicado. A mitad de carrera he notado que mi pie no aguantaba el esfuerzo, he empezado a perder movilidad y he decidido retirarme. No ha sido nuestro fin de semana, pero seguiremos trabajando para las dos carreras que quedan.”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing and Sky VR46 Avintia completed the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Enea Bastianini did it again. The Italian, who started 16th after yesterday’s qualifying, made a remarkable comeback, which allowed him to cross the finish line in an excellent 3rd position. With this result, Bastianini has taken his second podium in the premier class, after the one he achieved at Misano circuit in the last San Marino Grand Prix.

Luca Marini achieved another great result, 9th in his home Grand Prix. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider got a good pace throughout the race, which allowed him to finish inside the top 10 and score 7 more points after a very complete weekend for him.

After a very positive Grand Prix for the team, Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini will head to the Algarve International Circuit, where the Grande Prémio do Algarve, the penultimate round of the season, will take place in two weeks’ time.

“Until Saturday, it was a terrible weekend for me. I was not happy with Friday and Saturday, especially FP4 and qualifying, where I had too many crashes. This morning, I started to find the right feeling and I managed to go fast without going to the limit. From the first lap, I felt comfortable and I had enough pace to be able to move up and gain positions. It was an unexpected result, but it’s great to repeat this third position in Misano. I want to congratulate Quartararo for the title.”

Luca Marini


“I can’t be completely satisfied with today’s result, even though we finished in the top 10 and made a big step forward compared to Misano 1. It was a weekend and a race where we won a lot of experience in the group and understood exactly where we need to improve with the whole team. We are on a good growth trend, we have to keep it up for the next two races and aim for another step forward. It was a great GP for the team, for Ducati, for VR46 and Vale. I followed the pace of the strongest group from free practice to today.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Racing y el Sky VR46 Avintia han completado la carrera del Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Enea Bastianini lo ha vuelto a hacer. El italiano, que salía 16º tras la clasificación de ayer, ha ejecutado una remontada para enmarcar, que le ha permitido cruzar la línea de meta en una excelente 3ª posición. Con este resultado, Bastianini suma su segundo podio en la categoría reina, tras el conseguido en el mismo circuito de Misano en el pasado Gran Premio de San Marino.

Por su parte, Luca Marini ha logrado otro gran resultado, al ser 9º en su gran premio de casa. El piloto del Sky VR46 Avintia ha mantenido un buen ritmo durante toda la carrera, que le ha permitido terminar dentro del top 10 y sumar 7 puntos más después de un fin de semana muy completo para él.

Tras de un gran premio muy positivo para el equipo, Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini pondrán rumbo al Algarve International Circuit, donde dentro de dos semanas se disputará el Grande Prémio do Algarve, penúltima cita de la temporada.

“Hasta el sábado, estaba siendo un fin de semana terrible para mí. No estoy contento con el viernes y el sábado, sobre todo el FP4 y la clasificación, donde he tenido demasiadas caídas. Esta mañana, he empezado a encontrar las buenas sensaciones y he conseguido ir rápido sin ir al límite. Desde la primera vuelta, me he sentido cómodo y he tenido el ritmo suficiente para poder remontar y ganar posiciones. Ha sido un resultado inesperado, pero es fantástico repetir esta tercera posición en Misano. Por último, quiero felicitar a Quartararo por el título.”

Luca Marini


“No puedo estar completamente satisfecho con el resultado de hoy, aunque hayamos terminado entre los 10 primeros y hayamos dado un gran paso adelante en comparación con Misano 1. Ha sido un fin de semana y una carrera en la que hemos ganado mucha experiencia en el grupo y hemos entendido exactamente dónde tenemos que mejorar con todo el equipo. Estamos en una buena tendencia de crecimiento, debemos seguir así en las dos próximas carreras y aspirar a dar otro paso adelante. Ha sido un gran GP para el equipo, para Ducati , para VR46 y Vale. He seguido el ritmo del grupo más fuerte desde los entrenamientos libres hasta hoy.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy riders successfully completed the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna qualifying, on another rainy day at the Italian track.

Niccolò Antonelli took his first pole position of the season, making a big difference to his rivals. The Italian, who had to go through Q1, closed his best lap with a time of 1:48.563, more than 6 tenths off the second placed rider. The Avintia VR46 Academy rider will start from 1st position in front of his home crowd.

Carlos Tatay, on the other hand, will start the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix race from 21st position, as he was unable to make the cut in Q1.

Tomorrow at 11:00 the race of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna will start, where Antonelli and Tatay will try to cross the finish line in a good position.

“Since I got on the bike I had a good feeling. In these mixed conditions I felt confident and I set myself the goal of going for pole position. I’m very happy to get this result at my home Grand Prix, it’s always nice to do it.”

“It was a difficult day with these weather conditions and with the asphalt so complicated. However, we got experience, we know where to improve and I felt comfortable on the bike. We were very close to make it through to Q2 as I was able to set a good time. It’s time to focus on the race, we know we have potential and I think we can do well. Tomorrow we will have to give our 100%.”

Niccolò Antonelli ha conseguido su primera ‘pole position’ de la temporada, marcando una gran diferencia respecto a sus rivales. El italiano, que ha tenido que pasar por la Q1, ha cerrado su mejor vuelta con un tiempo de 1:48.563, sacando más de 6 décimas al segundo clasificado. De esta manera, el piloto del Avintia VR46 Academy, arrancará desde la primera posición delante de su afición.

Por su parte, Carlos Tatay, partirá la carrera del Gran Premio de la Emilia Romagna desde la 21ª posición, al no poder superar el corte de la Q1.

Mañana a las 11:00 dará comienzo la carrera del Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna, donde Antonelli y Tatay tratarán de cruzar la línea de meta en una buena posición.

“Ha sido un día complicado con estas condiciones meteorológicas y con el asfalto tan complicado. De todas formas, hemos cogido experiencia, sabemos dónde mejorar y me he sentido cómodo en la moto. Nos ha faltado muy poco para pasar a la Q2 ya que he conseguido un buen tiempo. Toca centrarnos en la carrera, sabemos que tenemos potencial y creo que lo podremos hacer bien. Mañana tocará dar el 100%.”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing and Sky VR46 Avintia finished the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna qualifying, which was held in dry conditions but with very tricky track conditions.

Enea Bastianini had a difficult Saturday. After suffering a couple of crashes in FP4, the mechanics were able to get the bike ready for qualifying. In Q1, when he was trying to get a good lap time to get into Q2, he crashed again. Finally, Bastianini will start from the 6th row of the grid.

Luca Marini took an excellent 3rd position in his home Grand Prix, his best qualifying result of the season. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider made it through to Q2 after finishing in the top 10 in the combined practice times after the three free practice sessions. In qualifying, the Italian was able to get the most out of his Ducati, which will allow him to start the race at Misano from the front row of the grid.

Tomorrow at 14:00 the race of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia-Romagna will start, where Bastianini and Marini will try to cross the finish line in a good position.

“It was a strange day for me. In the morning it was very difficult to set a fast lap and in FP4 and qualifying my feeling on the bike was not good at all. It was impossible to push and I had three crashes, two of them really strange because it was because the cold tyre and I lost the rear. In qualifying I tried to get the best time I could, but in the sixth corner I lost the front and crashed. In general, the asphalt was very difficult. Tomorrow the weather is likely to be better, so we will wait to decide on the tyres.”

“I am very happy with today’s result in front of the Italian fans. It will be exciting to be on the front row in MotoGP for the first time and also difficult, but I am happy. It has not been an easy season so far, but with the team and all the staff we have done a great job. I have a lot of people to thank and to share this moment with. I’ve had a good feeling and every time I’ve had a good feeling with the bike I’ve always been fast. Since the Misano test I have improved my riding position, I have made a step forward in the set-up and I have been able to focus on my style. Ducati supported me and tomorrow I will do my best to be on the same level as the strongest riders. Thanks to the whole team and thanks to Ducati!”
