After a well deserved summer break, the Reale Avintia Racing Team wants to maintain the good performance shown in the Sachsenring race just before the start of the summer break. In the German track, both riders managed to score since they got inside the Top15 in Sunday’s race.

After the first nine races of the season, Tito Rabat, who arrives in Brno with a new two-year contract with the Reale Avintia Racing Team, is in 19th position in the MotoGP world championship standings with 14 points in the box . On the other hand, Karel Abraham, who will race in his native Czech Republic this weekend, is currently in the 25th position of the world championship.

“I am really excited about the Czech GP, especially considering the good performance we had in Germany where I could score points. During this summer break I have been training very hard in order to get ready and fit for the second part of the season. Beisdes, I feel motivated after renewing the contract for the next two years with the team, which gives me more confidence.”

“It’s my Grand Prix at home and I really want to compete here because it is the most beautiful race of the year. However, at the same time it becomes the most complicated event of the season because there are many people and many local fans to whom I have to be happy. Después de un merecido parón veraniego, el Reale Avintia Racing Team quiere mantener el buen rendimiento demostrado en el trazo de Sachsenring justo antes del inicio de la pausa estival. En el trazado germano, ambos pilotos lograron puntuar al entrar dentro del Top15 en la carrera del domingo.

Después de las nueve primeras carreras de la temporada, Tito Rabat, que llega a Brno con un nuevo contrato por dos años con el Reale Avintia Racing Team, se encuentra en 19ª posición en la clasificación del campeonato del mundo de MotoGP con 14 puntos es casillero. Por otro lado, Karel Abraham, que correrá en su República Checa natal este fin de semana, está actualmente en la 25ª posición del campeonato del mundo.

Reale Avintia Racing team is pleased to announce a new agreement reached with Tito Rabat for the 2020 and 2021 MotoGP seasons. The former Moto2 World Champion will continue for two more years with the team owned by Raúl Romero, who now aims at getting state-of-the-art bikes with the latest factory specifications, as well as a factory technical crew. Furthermore, and thanks to the excellent relationship between Esponsorama and Rabat family, the team is in negotiations with a major sponsor to complete an ambitious project which will allow Reale Avintia Racing to fight for strong results in the upcoming seasons.
Following his serious accident during the British Grand Prix last season, Tito Rabat struggled in a difficult first part of the championship, but in the last two races, the Spanish rider began to recover the feeling with his bike, he was ninth in Catalunya and he was close to the ‘top 10’ last time out in Germany.
Today’s announcement puts an end to the latest rumours that had Rabat looking for a ride in WSBK. It also confirms that Raúl Romero’s team will continue in the MotoGP World Championship stronger than ever.

“I’m very happy that I signed for two more years with my team. The best news is that we are going to have factory bikes from 2020, which is crucial to our goal of fighting for top positions in every race. The MotoGP class is more competitive than ever and you need to have the best machinery to get good results. I want to thank Raúl for his confidence in me. We had a difficult start into this year, but we got stronger in the last few races. Knowing that I will continue for two more seasons is a boost to my confidence and I’m sure I‘ll be back stronger in the second half of the championship.”

El equipo Reale Avintia Racing tiene el placer de anunciar el acuerdo alcanzado con Tito Rabat para las temporadas 2020 y 2021. Con este contrato, el ex Campeón del Mundo de Moto2 seguirá dos años más con el equipo de Raúl Romero, quien está trabajando duro para conseguir motos con las últimas especificaciones de fábrica, así como un equipo técnico oficial. Además, gracias a la buena relación de Esponsorama con la familia Rabat, el equipo está negociando con un importante patrocinador para completar un ambicioso proyecto, que le permitirá luchar grandes resultados en las próximas temporadas.

Tras sufrir un grave accidente la pasada temporada durante el transcurso del Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña, Tito Rabat ha protagonizado una primera parte de campeonato complicada, pero en las últimas carreras, el piloto español comenzó a recuperar las buenas sensaciones con su moto terminando noveno en Catalunya y muy cerca del ‘top 10’ en Alemania.

Con este anuncio se pone fin a los rumores que situaban a Rabat en WSBK y también se confirma que el equipo propiedad de Esponsorama, seguirá en el Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP con más fuerza que nunca.

“Estoy muy contento de renovar dos años más con mi equipo. Pero la mejor noticia es que contaremos con material de fábrica desde 2020, lo que será muy importante para poder estar luchando delante en cada carrera. La categoría de MotoGP cada vez es más competitiva y hace falta contar con lo mejor para conseguir resultados. Agradezco a Raúl su confianza, porque este año no está siendo fácil, pero en las últimas carreras hemos estado más fuertes y, con la seguridad que me da saber que seguiré otras dos temporadas, volveré a tope para la segunda mitad de campeonato”.

The ninth race of the MotoGP season held at Sachsenring was positive for the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders as both managed to finish the race in points positions, which is very important for their morale after an unfortunate race in Assen.

Both Spanish and Czech riders were able to overcome a poor qualifying session on Saturday in which Karel Abraham and Tito Rabat closed the standings in 21st and 22nd positions respectively. Tito Rabat made a great comeback to the eleventh position, near the Top10. Karel Abraham, meanwhile, did another comeback in order to get inside the Top15.

The Reale Avintia Racing Team hopes to continue with this positive performance after the summer break at the Brno circuit that will host the GP of the Czech Republic on 2, 3 and 4th of August.

“I am happy with the set-up of the bike since we found support in the rear wheel, something I have been missing since we swiped into these tires. I’ve had a good time on the bike, I’ve been reaching and overtaking riders and the truth is that you do not get tired because you’re enjoying it. We will take advantage of these three weeks to continue working and come back stronger. I hope to continue with this performance in the following races.”

“I am very happy because after two unfortunate races I was able to finish the race and get a point. It has been a hard race, from which I believe we can draw positive and negative aspects. The positive is that we have made good lap times and the negative is that I think I could have ended up with Tito but I have to be stronger and have less fear on the track. Unfortunately, at the start of the race I had a moment in turn 11, just before the waterfall and that made me lose a lot of time but I was able to recover some of it. ”

The MotoE Championship is now a reality and the riders of the Avintia Esponsorama Team have managed to finish in the top ten. Eric Granado, who started from the front row of the grid, suffered an incident in the first corner that took him back to second last positioin. From there on, his career was all about recovering positions up to a meritorious eighth place. In the same first corner Xavier Simeon would make a mistake a couple of laps later losing some positions when he was in top losing, consequently, contact with the front group. With two laps to go, Lorenzo Savadori’s bike broke one of the airfances after a crash when he was overtaken by Granado and race direction was forced to draw the red flag, neutralizing the race and concluding it.

“It was a very fun race but it was a shame not to finish on the podium or in the Top5. In five laps you can not make any mistakes, and that’s what I did in the first corner when I lost three positions. That hasn’t helped me but the truth is that it has been a very nice race, I hope to continue having fun in the next one. ”

“Touching another rider in the first corner was a shame as the brake lever moved and I had to put it in its place. I tried to recover as fast as possible, the bike was very good and I felt very comfortable, I was able to overtake all those in front of me until I reached the eighth position. I leave Sachsenring with a bittersweet taste because I knew I had options to fight for the podium or victory. The positive part is that we are fast and competitive and we are ready to fight in Austria.”

Stefano Nepa started the german race from the seventh row of the grid in 20th position. The Italian rider completed his second race with the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 in a new weekend of adaptation to his KTM.

The end of the race was supposed to be a question mark as nobody knew if the tires would arrive until the end in good shape and their consumption would have to be managed throughout the race. Sachsenring is a slow circuit, narrow and with very short straight lines, so slpistreams were not that important as in other occasions and did not get to form a large group once the pace rose in the second half of the race.

Stefano Nepa was climbing positions thanks to the crashes that were happening ahead to reach the 18th position, so close to the points’ positions. Next race will be at the Brno circuit on August 2, 3 and 4th, just after the summer break.

“It has been a very positive weekend. We got very close in terms of lap times and we have reduced the time with the top riders. We have lacked a bit of rhythm in the race because I can not make the pace of the first group, but in the next race we will continue working to get even closer and stay with the top riders throughout the race.”

La novena carrera de la temporada de MotoGP celebrada en Sachsenring ha sido positiva para los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing Team ya que ambos han conseguido terminar la carrera en posiciones de puntos, lo cual es muy importante para su moral después de una carrera desafortunada en Assen.

Tanto el español como el checo han sido capaces de sobreponerse a mala sesión de clasificación el sábado en la que Karel Abraham y Tito Rabat cerraron la clasificación en 21ª y 22ª posición respectivamente. Tito Rabat ha realizado una gran remontada hasta la decimoprimera posición, cerca del Top10. Karel Abraham, por su parte, ha remontado para cerrar el Top15 y conseguir un meritorio punto.

El Reale Avintia Racing Team espera seguir con este positivo rendimiento después del parón de verano en el circuito de Brno que será sede del GP de la República Checa los días 2, 3 y 4 de agosto.

“Estoy contento por la configuración de la moto, hemos encontrado soporte atrás, algo que me falta desde que cambiaron estos neumáticos. Me lo he pasado bien encima de moto, he ido alcanzando y adelantando pilotos y la verdad es que así no te cansas porque vas disfrutando. Aprovecharemos estas tres semanas para seguir trabajando y volver más fuertes. Espero poder seguir en esta línea.”

“Estoy muy contento porque después de dos carreras desafortunadas he podido acabar la carrera y conseguir un punto. Ha sido una carrera dura de la que creo que podemos sacar aspectos positivos y negativos. Lo positivo es que hemos hecho buenos tiempos de vuelta y lo negativo es que creo que podría haber acabado junto con Tito pero debo ser más fuerte y tener menos miedo en la pista. Por desgracia, a principio de carrera he tenido un susto en la curva 11, justo antes de la bajada y eso me ha hecho perder mucho tiempo pero he podido recuperar terreno.”

El Campeonato de MotoE ya es una realidad y los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama Team han conseguido finalizar dentro de los diez primeros clasificados. Eric Granado, que salía desde la primera línea de parrilla, sufrió un incidente en la primera curva que le llevó al fondo de la clasificación. A partir de ahí, su carrera consistió en ir remontando posiciones hasta una meritoria octava plaza. En esa misma primera curva cometería un error un par de vueltas después Xavier Simeon perdiendo algunas plazas cuando se encontraba en puestos de cabeza y perdiendo, consecuentemente, contacto con el grupo delantero. A dos vueltas para el final, la moto de Lorenzo Savadori rompía una de las protecciones de las escapatorias tras una caída cuando era adelantado por Granado y dirección de carrera se veía obligaba sacar la bandera roja, neutralizando la carrera y dándola ya por concluida.

“Ha sido una carrera muy divertida pero ha sido una pena no haber acabado en el podio o en el Top5. En cinco vueltas no puedes cometer ningún fallo, algo que he hecho en la primera curva cuando he perdido tres posiciones. Eso me ha penalizado para estar arriba pero la verdad es que ha sido una carrera muy bonita, espero seguir divirtiéndome en la siguiente.”

“Ha sido una pena tener el contacto con otro piloto en la primera curva porque se me ha movido la maneta del freno y la he tenido que colocar en su sitio. He intentado remontar lo más rápido posible, la moto iba muy bien y me he sentido muy cómodo y he podido pasar a todos los que tenía delante hasta llegar a la octava posición. Me voy con un sabor agridulce de Sachsenring porque sabía que tenía opciones de luchar por el podio o la victoria. La parte positiva es que somos rápidos y competitivos y estamos listos para dar guerra en Austria.”

Stefano Nepa salía en parrilla desde la séptima fila en 26º posición. El piloto italiano completó su segunda carrera mundialista con el Reale Avintia Arizona 77 en un nuevo fin de semana de adaptación a su KTM.

El final de carrera iba a ser una incógnita porque se sabía que los neumáticos iban a llegar muy desgastados y habría que gestionar su consumo a lo largo de la carrera. Al tratarse de un circuito lento, estrecho y con rectas muy cortas, no influyeron los rebufos como en otras ocasiones y no llegó a formarse un gran grupo una vez subió el ritmo en la segunda mitad de carrera

Stefano Nepa fue remontando posiciones gracias a los accidentes que se iban sucediendo por delante hasta llegar a la 18º posición, a las puertas de las posiciones de puntos. La próxima prueba será en el circuito de Brno los días 2, 3 y 4 de agosto, justo tras el parón veraniego.

“Ha sido un fin de semana muy positivo. Nos hemos acercado mucho en cuanto a los tiempos y hemos reducido el tiempo con los pilotos de cabeza. Nos ha faltado un poco de ritmo en carrera porque no consigo girar en el ritmo de los primeros, pero en la próxima carrera seguiremos trabajando para acercarnos aun más y permanecer con los cabeceros durante toda la carrera”.
