Stefano Nepa llega a Austria después de haber sido 17º en Brno y lograr, por ende, su mejor resultado con el Reale Avintia Arizona 77. El siguiente paso que deberá dar el piloto italiano es el que le lleve a luchar por entrar en el Top15 y optar a los puntos ya desde la carrera de este mismo fin de semana que se celebrará en el Red Bull Ring, ubicado en Spielberg (Austria).

“El Red Bull Ring es una pista que me gusta mucho, tenemos que comenzar fuerte el equipo y yo desde el primer entrenamiento, estoy seguro de que podemos hacerlo bien y luchar por entrar en el Top15”.

The Reale Avintia Racing Team riders left without points as a reward from last week’s race at the Brno circuit. From Friday they will get a new chacne to fight for points as the twelfth round MotoGP world championship will be held at the Speilberg circuit in Austria. Since its return to the championship in 2016, Ducati has been the only brand to win in MotoGP because, due to the design of the circuit, it suits perfectly to the characteristics of Italian motorcycles. That is why the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders are optimistic about the Austrian race.

“Unfortunately we could not take any point in Brno but we fought until the end for it. I rode for 70 test laps on Monday test after the Grand Prix so I am motivated and eager to do it well. Hopefully we get a good weather to twist the throttle.”

“I really like the circuit of the Red Bull Ring because it is very fast and flowing. However, it seems that it is going to rain and I remember  from other years that it is quite slippery. We will see if the weather respects us this weekend, it would be a dream to have good weather without rain.”

El mundial de MotoE está de vuelta con motivo del GP de Austria en el circuito de Spielberg donde se celebrará la segunda prueba de la temporada de la nueva categoría. Después del buen rendimiento demostrado en Sachsenring hace un mes cuando ambos entraron dentro del Top10, tanto Eric Granado como Xavier Simeon llegan a Austria con ilusión para afrontar un nuevo fin de semana de competición.

“Estoy bastante motivado, entre otras cosas porque no conozco el circuito de Austria y tengo muchas ganas de comenzar a trabajar con el equipo el viernes y poner la moto a punto para la carrera del domingo. Este fin de semana tendremos un entrenamiento más, lo cual es muy importante para mi por el hecho de no conocer el circuito. En Alemania, a pesar de no conseguir el resultado que esperábamos, tuvimos un gran ritmo y estoy contento con el nivel que demostramos así y aquí intentaré ser competitivo de nuevo en la Super Pole y en carrera.”

“Estoy muy motivado y con ganas para esta segunda carrera. El del Red Bull Ring es totalmente opuesto al circuito de Sachsering donde corrimos la primera carrera porque este tiene muchas rectas. Será una sorpresa ver cómo se comportan las MotoE aquí. En Sachsenring pude demostrar que soy competitivo con estas motos y espero serlo este fin de semana también donde el objetivo será subir al podio.”

Los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team se marcharon sin puntos como recompensa de la cita de la semana pasada celebrada en el circuito de Brno. A partir del viernes tendrán una nueva oportunidad de luchar por los puntos con motivo de la disputa de la duodécima prueba del campeonato del mundo de MotoGP en el circuito de Speilberg en Austria.
Desde su regreso al campeonato en el año 2016, Ducati ha sido la única marca de ganar en la categoría reina ya que, debido al diseño del circuito, se adapta a las mil maravillas a las características de las motos italianas. Por ello los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team se muestran optimistas de cara a la prueba austriaca.

“Por desgracia no pudimos llevarnos ningún punto en Brno pero luchamos hasta el final por ello. Dimos 70 vueltas de test el lunes tras el Gran Premio así que estoy motivado y con ganas de hacerlo bien. Ojalá nos respete el tiempo y podamos dar gas.”

“Me gusta mucho el circuito del Red Bull Ring porque es muy rápido y fluido. Sin embargo, parece que va a llover y recuerdo de otros años que es bastante resbaladizo. Veremos si la meteorología nos respeta este fin de semana, sería un sueño tener buen tiempo sin lluvia.”

The tenth race of the MotoGP world championship held in Brno (Czech Republic) left the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders eager for more as they did not made it into points positions as they did in the previous event held in Germany.

The weather conditions changed just at the end of the Moto2 race when a summer storm appeared and soaked the Brno circuit, especially at the beginning and end of the Czech track. When the MotoGP riders went out on the grid they realised that the circuit was in mixed conditions and they wouldn’t be able to ride either with dry or wet tires.

Given this situation, race direction decided to delay the start of the test for safety reasons for more than 30 minutes in order to wait for the track to dry.

Karel Abraham started from the 20th position in his home Grand Prix, after a difficult race he finished 19th. On the other hand, Tito Rabat ride from the 22nd grid position to the 16th in the race finishing close to the points.

The next MotoGP world championship race will be held at the Austrian Red Bull Ring circuit from August 9th to 11th.

“It has been a difficult weekend, it is a shame because it is a circuit that we are good at. The bad conditions did not helped me but we have been able to fight until the end. I’ve finished close to the points’ positions, which is positive. I am happy with the team and the situation, tomorrow we stay to do a test to continue improving. ”

“I am not happy because it was the race in which I had to be, at least, riding with my teammate. During the first part of the race he was a little faster and we were not far between us, but something happened, I felt something was different on the bike and I slowed down. I tried to adapt, but I think the problem was bigger and now we have to try to find out what it is. Then I had problems with the rear wheel, it was sliding too much and I had no traction.”

The Italian rider finished at the gates of the points once again after finishing 17th in his third race with the Reale Avintia Arizona 77, getting what is his best result with the team so far.

The width of the Brno layout led to a large number of overtaking that significantly slowed the pace of the test. The race was plenty of accidents from the very beginning and that Stefano Nepa could take advantage of that, keeping on his KTM, he recovered positions from the 30th from which he started on the grid after a tough qualifying session on Saturday.

The Moto3 World Championship will be held again next week at the Austrian circuit of Spielberg on the occasion of the eleventh event of the season.

“It was a very difficult weekend for me and for the team, we couldn’t work well on Friday and that penalized us, but in the warm up we made a step forward and got closer in therms of lap times. Now there is another race to improve even more, thanks to the whole team, my family and sponsors. See you all at the Red Bull Ring.”

La décima prueba del campeonato del mundo de MotoGP celebrada en Brno (República Checa) dejó con ganas de más a los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team que no pudieron entrar en posiciones de puntos como sí hicieran en la anterior cita celebrada en Alemania.

Las condiciones meteorológicas cambiaron justo al acabar la carrera de Moto2 cuando apareció una tormenta de verano que bañó el circuito de Brno, sobre todo en el principio y el final del trazado checo. Cuando los pilotos de la categoría reina salieron a parrilla vieron que el circuito estaba en condiciones mixtas y no se podía correr ni con neumáticos de seco ni de mojado.

Ante tal situación, dirección de carrera optó por retrasar el inicio de la prueba por motivos de seguridad más de 30 minutos con el objetivo de esperar a que la pista se secase.

Karel Abraham partía desde la 20ª posición en su Gran Premio de casa y, después de una carrera difícil concluyó 19º. Por su parte, Tito Rabat remontó desde la 22ª posición de parrilla hasta la 16ª en carrera quedándose a las puertas de los puntos.

La siguiente carrera del campeonato del mundo de MotoGP se celebrará en el circuito austriaco del Red Bull Ring del 9 al 11 de agosto.

“Ha sido un fin de semana complicado, es una lástima porque es un circuito que se nos da bien. Las malas condiciones no me han ayudado a ir mejor, pero hemos podido luchar hasta el final. Me he quedado a las puertas de los puntos, lo cual es un consuelo. Estoy contento con el equipo y la situación, además mañana nos quedamos para hacer un test para seguir mejorando.”

“No estoy contento porque era la carrera en la que tenía que haber estado, al menos, con mi compañero de equipo. Durante la primera parte de la carrera él fue un poco más rápido y no estábamos lejos entre nosotros, pero pasó algo, sentía que algo iba distinto en la moto y he bajado el ritmo. Me he intentado adaptar, pero creo que el problema era más grande y ahora tenemos que intentar averiguar qué es. Luego tuve problemas con la rueda trasera, derrapaba demasiado y no tenía tracción alguna”.

El piloto italiano se ha quedado nuevamente a las puertas de los puntos después de finalizar 17º en su tercera carrera con el Reale Avintia Arizona 77, consiguiendo el que es su mejor resultado con el equipo hasta la fecha.

La anchura del trazado de Brno propició que se produjesen una gran cantidad de adelantamientos que, a su vez, ralentizaron notablemente el ritmo de la prueba. La carrera fue accidentada desde el principio y eso lo pudo aprovechar Stefano Nepa que, manteniéndose sobre su KTM, fue recuperando posiciones desde la 30ª desde la que partía en parrilla después de una complicada sesión de clasificación el sábado.

El mundial de Moto3 se volverá a citar la semana que viene en el circuito austriaco de Spielberg con motivo de la undécima prueba del mundial.

“Fue un fin de semana muy difícil para mí y para el equipo, no pudimos trabajar bien el viernes y eso nos penalizó, pero en el warm up dimos un salto adelante y nos acercamos. Ahora hay otra carrera para mejorar aún más, gracias a todo el equipo, a mi familia y patrocinadores. Nos vemos en el Red Bull Ring.”

After the summer break, the Italian rider will start this weekend his third GP with the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 in the Czech Republic. In the Brno circuit, a track he already knows, Nepa will try to continue progressing and improving his results on his KTM.

The Brno circuit has a length of 5.6km and has 8 turns to the right, 6 to the left that are usually joined in changes of direction, which makes it quite a symmetrical circuit. Despite its length, its longest straight barely exceeds 630m.

“We arrived in Brno for my third race with the team in the World Championship. It is a long and beautiful track that I already know and I like. During these three weeks of summer break I have trained a lot, especially the first week as I went in Andorra where I had fun with Rubén Xaus that helped me a lot. I arrived looking forward to do it well and I can’t wait to be back on track. “

Tras el parón veraniego, el piloto italiano cumplirá este fin de semana en la República Checa su tercer gran premio con el Reale Avintia Arizona 77. En el circuito de Brno, una pista que ya conoce, Nepa intentará seguir progresando y mejorando sus resultados sobre su KTM.

El circuito de Brno tiene una longitud de 5,6km y cuenta con 8 curvas a derecha, 6 a izquierda que se unen en a menudo en cambios de dirección , lo que lo hace un circuito bastante simétrico. A pesar de su longitud, su recta más larga apenas supera los 630m.

“Llegamos a Brno para la que será mi tercera carrera con el equipo en el mundial. Es una pista larga y bonita que ya conozco y que me gusta. Durante estas tres semanas de parón veraniego me he entrenado mucho, sobre todo la primera semana ya que estuve en Andorra donde me divertí con Rubén Xaus que me ayudó mucho. Llego con ganas de hacerlo bien y no veo la hora de volver a salir a pista”.
