Reale Avintia Academy 77 Moto3 – GP de Aragón– MotorLand

El piloto del equipo Reale Avintia Academy 77, Vicente Pérez, ha vuelto a sumar puntos por segunda carrera consecutiva. Tras estrenar su casillero hace quince días en Misano, el piloto valenciano ha protagonizado en MotorLand una gran carrera en la que ha estado todo el tiempo luchando con pilotos muy experimentados como, Migno, Bulega o el vencedor del último Gran Premio en San Marino, Dalla Porta.

En las últimas vueltas han intercambiado varias veces posiciones en su batalla por la duodécima posición y, Vicente Pérez ha cruzado la meta 14º, pero finalmente ha perdido un puesto, tras sobrepasar los límites de la pista. Aún así ha sumado un punto y esto le hará más fuerte en las próximas carreras.

El Campeonato del Mundo de Moto3 volverá a la acción dentro de dos semanas en Buriram, donde tendrá lugar el Gran Premio de Tailandia del 5 al 7 de octubre.

“Sabía que podíamos hacerlo bien, ya que teníamos buen ritmo y estoy muy contento con la carrera que hemos hecho. No tengo palabras para explicar lo agradecido que estoy con el equipo por todo su trabajo y por todo lo que me ayudan para mejorar como piloto. Ahora toca trabajar mucho para Tailandia, pero sé que vamos por el buen camino y seguiremos evolucionando.”

Reale Avintia Academy 77 Moto3 – GP of Aragón– MotorLand

 In a successful Grand Prix of Aragón, Reale Avintia Academy 77 rider Vicente Pérez took points for the second time in a row. After scoring at Misano two weeks ago, the rider from Valencia rode another great race at MotorLand on Sunday, where he was fighting with experienced riders such as Migno, Bulega or Dalla Porta, the winner of the last Grand Prix of San Marino.

During the last laps of the race, the positions in the battle for twelfth place kept changing all the time and Vicente Pérez finally crossed the line in 14th position, before being penalised and losing another place for having exceeded the track limits. He still walked away with one world championship point, an achievement that will make him even stronger in the races to come.

The Moto3 World Championship will return to action in two weeks a the circuit of Buriram, where the Grand Prix of Thailand will take place from 5th to 7th of October.

“I know that we could do well here, because we had a strong rhythm, and I am very happy with our race. I don’t find words to express how grateful I am for the work of the team and the support they are giving me to improve as a rider. Now we have to work towards the race in Thailand, but I know we are going the right direction and we keep progressing.”

MotoGP GP of Aragón – MotorLand Aragón

The riders of Team Reale Avintia Racing, Xavier Simeon and Jordi Torres, were not very happy with their qualifying results for the Grand Prix of Aragón on Sunday.

The Belgian rider, who is contesting his second race on the bike of injured Tito Rabat, couldn’t improve his lap time as he had expected, due to dense traffic on the track during his last time attack in Q1. He will now start from the 22nd position of the grid. Upbeat about his race rhythm, Simeon believes he will be fast enough to ride and battle within another group of riders.

Teammate and rookie Jordi Torres also had a difficult second day of practice. After a crash in FP3 during the morning session, the rider from Rubí lost some of his confidence in the front end and in the front fork set-up of his bike. But the rider from Rubí made the best out of the day and improved his Friday time significantly. There is no hidden agenda for the race, simply to put up a fight.

Warm-Up will start at 9.40 on Sunday and both Xavier Simeon and Jordi Torres are determined to put up a fight and get as many issues sorted as possible before the race starts at 14.00 h local time!”

“Honestly, I am disappointed because when we mounted the last rear tyre in qualifying, I ran into a lot of traffic and couldn’t get the result we were expecting. I am angry, because I expected a much bigger improvement with the new rear tyre and I felt really comfortable on the bike, so it’s a real shame. Now it will be even more important to get a good start, so I can get the maximum out of the race. It will be long, tough and very hot, but I am confident to be able to maintain my rhythm which should allow me to gain positions and fight for a good result.”

“It was a difficult day. In a nutshell, we were in delay for the whole day and it was my fault. This morning in FP3, I made a mistake downshifting and I came off the bike. It was a stupid crash, but big enough to throw out our plans for the whole day. We had best intentions to apply a bit more pressure, but this delay made us more careful instead. In FP4, we rode many laps in order to improve my feelings with the bike and to change my seating position. In Q1, I pushed harder and tried to lean over more than all the others, and I can say that I never ever in my life went with more lean angle. Riding like that, the bike behaved differently and we made a lot of progress. It’s a pity that we didn’t make this move in the morning. But nevertheless, I am highly motivated and we’ll now see what we can achieve in the race.

MotoGP GP de Aragón – MotorLand Aragón

Los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing, Xavier Simeon y Jordi Torres, no han terminado contentos con sus resultados en la sesión clasificatoria para el Gran Premio de Aragón de MotoGP.

El piloto belga, que disputa en MotorLand su segunda carrera sobre la moto del lesionado, Tito Rabat, no ha mejorado sus tiempos todo lo que esperaba al encontrar tráfico en pista durante su último ataque al cronómetro en la Q1 y mañana saldrá 22º. Simeon confía en su ritmo de carrera y cree que puede ser suficiente para disputar una carrera en grupo.

Para el debutante Jordi Torres, el segundo día ha sido también complicado. Tras de caer durante el FP3 por la mañana, Torres ha perdido un poco de confianza en el tren delantero de su Ducati. Pero el piloto de Rubí ha aprovechado bien el FP4 y en la Q1 ha mejorado considerablemente su mejor tiempo del viernes. No se marca ningún objetivo para la carrera, pero quiere dar guerra.

El warm-up comenzará mañana a las 09:40h y, tanto Simeon como Torres esperan dar otro paso adelante, para luchar por un buen resultado en la carrera que, como es habitual, dará comienzo a las 14:00h.

“Sinceramente estoy decepcionado porque cuando he montado el último neumático en la sesión clasificatoria, he encontrado mucho tráfico y no he podido sacar provecho. Estoy enfadado porque esperaba mejorar bastante con el neumático nuevo y me encontraba bastante cómodo con la moto, por lo tanto, ha sido una lástima. Ahora lo importante será salir bien mañana y disfrutar al máximo en la carrera. Será muy larga y dura con tanto calor, pero confío en poder mantener un ritmo constante para ganar posiciones y luchar por un buen resultado”.

“Ha sido un día complicado. Podríamos decir que hemos ido con retraso todo el día por mi culpa. Esta mañana en el FP3 he cometido un error al bajar una marcha y me he ido al suelo. Ha sido una caída tonta pero que nos ha cambiado los planes por completo. Teníamos intención de apretar un poco más, pero este contratiempo nos ha hecho ir con más cuidado. En el FP4, hemos dado muchas vueltas para mejorar mis sensaciones con la moto y cambiar mi posición sobre la moto. En la Q1 he forzado más y he tratado de inclinar como los demás y puedo decir que nunca en mi vida había inclinado tanto sobre una moto. Eso hace que la moto se comporte de otra manera y con este paso hemos avanzado bastante. La pena ha sido no dar este paso por la mañana. Aun así estoy muy motivado y veremos qué podemos hacer en la carrera”.

MotoGP GP de Aragón – MotorLand Aragón

Los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing, Xavier Simeon y Jordi Torres, no han terminado contentos con sus resultados en la sesión clasificatoria para el Gran Premio de Aragón de MotoGP.

Simeon confía en su ritmo de carrera y cree que puede ser suficiente para disputar una carrera en grupo.

Reale Avintia Academy 77 Moto3 – GP de Aragón– MotorLand

La jornada de entrenamientos clasificatorios para el Gran Premio de Aragón, se ha disputado en condiciones ideales con sol y mucho calor. El piloto del equipo Reale Avintia Academy 77, Vicente Pérez, ha mejorando más de un segundo respecto al tiempo de ayer, pero no solo él ha ido más deprisa hoy y, el piloto valenciano saldrá desde la 24ª posición de la parrilla al terminar a menos de dos segundos del más rápido del día en Moto3, el líder del campeonato, Jorge Martín.

Mañana en el warm-up, el equipo terminará de afinar la puesta a punto de su KTM que le permita estar en el grupo y pelear por terminar la carrera entre los quince primeros. Después de estrenar su casillero de puntos en la última prueba en Misano, Vicente Pérez espera poder sumar alguno más delante de la afición española en MotorLand Aragón.

“Hoy he mejorado bastante respecto a ayer pero nos han faltado unas cuatro décimas para meternos en el grupo de los quince primeros. No sé si estar contento o no, ya que no he llegado a lograr lo que quería. Mañana sé que en carrera vamos a estar en un grupo bastante grande, ya que los tiempos son muy similares, pero los que están delante, para mí aún están a otro nivel. En carrera daré el máximo y espero poder ofrecer un buen resultado a la mejor afición del mundo.”

Reale Avintia Academy 77 Moto3 – GP of Aragón– MotorLand

The qualifying practice for the Grand Prix of Aragón took place in ideal conditions, with bright sunshine and summer temperatures. Vicente Pérez, rider of team Reale Avintia Academy 77, was able to improve his lap times by more than a second in comparison to Friday. Pérez not only went faster, the rider from Valencia climbed up to 24th position on the starting grid and finished the session less than two seconds behind the fastest Moto3 rider of the day, world championship leader Jorge Martin.

In the warm-up session on Sunday morning, the team will refine the set-up of his KTM so Pérez will be able to put up a fight and finish the race within the Top 15. After putting some points into his account at the last race at Misano, Vicente Pérez hopes to score come points again in front of his Spanish fans at MotorLand Aragón.

“I have improved considerably compared to yesterday, but we missed out on a spot within the 15 fastest riders by four tenths of a second. I don’t know if I should be happy with our performance or not, because I didn’t quite achieve what I wanted. Since the lap times are very close together, I expect us to be fighting in a big group in the race tomorrow, but at the same time, I have to acknowledge that the front runners are still on another level. Nevertheless, I am determined to give the maximum in the race and to award the best crowd in the world with a strong result.”

MotoGP GP of Aragón – MotorLand Aragón

The riders of team Reale Avintia Racing had a good first day at the Grand Prix of Aragón, with Xavier Simeon improving aboard the Ducati GP17 of injured team-mate Tito Rabat and with newcomer Jordi Torres finishing only a little more than a second behind the second-last rider.

Since the weekend has only just begun, both Simeon and Torres are convinced they can improve further. The Belgian rider will focus on the set-up of hisbike in order to be more consistent, whereas the Spanish rider from Rubí will work on adapting his aggressive riding style to suit and get the maximum out of his Ducati.

FP3 will take place at 9:55 h on Saturday morning, whereas the qualifying runs for the starting grid will start at 14:10 h.

“It was a very positive day despite a technical problem with one of the bikes. This aside, I am very happy with the first day because it didn’t go bad at all. My lap time was decent even though I still have to improve my rhythm and consistency a lot. This bike wears the rear tyre out quite quickly and we have to work on this aspect. I hope to make another step forward tomorrow. I will try to give it all in Q1 in order to be as close to the front as possible on the starting grid.”

“I honestly thought it would be much more difficult to ride in this category and on this bike than it really was. I also want to say that the team made it very easy for me to get used to the bike step by step. They gradually gave me more engine power, taking the traction control back bit by bit, which made the bike always a bit more difficult to tame, but also more enjoyable for me. It was an exciting day with high expectations from many sides, but I was not satisfied. I am the first one to put pressure on myself. There is no doubt that we should have done lap times around 1’50.6 or 1’50.7 and the fact that we didn’t achieve this is my fault. I am still unable to string a good lap without any small mistakes together, I still need to be more precise and consistent. I also didn’t want to take any risks because it wasn’t the day to do that. To get to the point where we are now was relatively easy, but to improve further will be tough. It’s not so much a question of bravery or riding style than to figure out how to do cover the straights in the shortest possible. Every time I want to accelerate earlier or brake later, I make mistakes. But this night, I will re-think everything and tomorrow, I hope to get a bit closer.”
