The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 riders completed the first day of the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Niccolò Antonelli finished 11th in the combined times and set his best time of the day in the second free practice. A time of 1:48.646 put him in Q2 positions with the third free practice still to come.

Elia Bartolini closed a good day and showed a great progression. The Italian rider was able to do his first laps on the Catalan track, a completely new circuit for him. His best lap time was 1:50.664.

Tomorrow at 9:00 the third free practice will take place before qualifying for the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya, which will be held at 12:35.

“Today was a positive day as we were able to do a lot of laps and we had a good pace. I’m happy and tomorrow we’ll try to keep working like this and get a good result.”

Los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 han completado el primer día del Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Niccolò Antonelli ha finalizado 11º en la clasificación combinada y ha conseguido su mejor registro de la jornada en el segundo entrenamiento libre. Un tiempo de 1:48.646 le coloca en posiciones de Q2 temporalmente a falta del tercer entrenamiento libre.

Elia Bartolini ha cerrado un buen día y mostrando una gran progresión. El piloto italiano ha podido sumar sus primeras vueltas en el trazado catalán, un circuito completamente nuevo para él. Su mejor registro ha sido de 1:50.664.

Mañana a las 9:00 se disputará el tercer entrenamiento libre previo a la clasificación del Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya, que tendrá lugar a las 12:35.

“Hoy ha sido un día positivo ya que hemos podido dar muchas vueltas y hemos tenido un buen ritmo. Estoy contento y mañana intentaremos seguir trabajando así y conseguir un buen resultado.”

“Ha ido bien ya que el circuito era nuevo, la moto era nueva y el equipo también. Es una pista muy bonita, rápidamente me he sentido bien y del primer entrenamiento al segundo he podido dar un gran paso adelante. Mañana intentaré de seguir mejorando, pero estoy muy contento y las cosas están yendo bien.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 team will compete this week at the Circuit de Barcelona for the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Unfortunately, Carlos Tatay will not be present during the weekend due to a fracture in the talus of his right foot after the heavy crash he suffered during the Italian Grand Prix race. The young VR46 Academy rider, Elia Bartolini, will replace the Valencian rider.

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 disputará esta semana en el Circuito de Barcelona el Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.

Desafortunadamente, Carlos Tatay no estará presente durante el fin de semana debido a una fractura en el astrágalo de su pie derecho tras la fuerte caída que sufrió durante la carrera del Gran Premio de Italia. El joven piloto de la VR46 Academy, Elia Bartolini, será el sustituto del valenciano.

Niccolò Antonelli, que en líneas generales tuvo un gran premio de casa complicado, llega a Barcelona con las pilas cargadas y con las expectativas altas para completar un buen fin de semana en Montmeló.

La acción del Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya dará comienzo el viernes a las 9:00 para disputarse los primeros entrenamientos libres.

“Mugello fue un gran premio muy difícil por todo lo que pasó, todo fue muy duro. Pero me siento preparado para este fin de semana en Montmeló y no puedo esperar para volver a subirme a la moto y volver a la pista.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 finished the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley after a very hard and complicated weekend for the whole motorcycling family after the passing of Jason Dupasquier.

Niccolò Antonelli finished in 13th position. The Italian rider has been fighting throughout the race in the front group and finally crossed the finish line less than a second and a half behind the leader.

Carlos Tatay crashed on the first lap and had to retire. The Valencian rider was involved in an incident when Kofler went to the ground and Tatay could do nothing to avoid colliding with the bike, causing a fracture in his foot.

“I can’t be happy with this race, I didn’t feel good with the bike, but I could have done more. I have to try to improve because this weekend was difficult, also because of the passing of Dupasquier, and in the end everything takes a back seat. Maybe it also determined the concentration. But anyway, now we go to Barcelona and for sure it will be a different weekend.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 ha finalizado el Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley tras un fin de semana muy duro y complicado para toda la familia del motociclismo tras el fallecimiento de Jason Dupasquier.

Niccolò Antonelli ha concluido en 13ª posición. El piloto italiano, ha estado durante toda la carrera luchando en el grupo delantero y finalmente ha cruzado la línea de meta a menos de un segundo y medio del líder.

Carlos Tatay no ha podido superar la primera vuelta y ha tenido que abandonar. El valenciano se ha visto envuelto en un incidente cuando, Kofler se ha ido al suelo y Tatay no ha podido hacer nada para evitar colisionar con la moto, ocasionando una fractura en su pie.

Desde el Avintia Esponsorama, queremos enviar nuestro más sentido pésame a la familia, equipo y amigos de Jason Dupasquier. Descanse en paz.

“No puedo estar contento con esta carrera, no me he sentido bien con la moto, pero podría haber hecho más. Tengo que intentar mejorar porque este fin de semana ha sido difícil, también por el fallecimiento de Dupasquier, y al final todo pasa a un segundo plano. Quizás también determinó la concentración. Pero de todas formas ahora vamos a Barcelona y seguro que será un fin de semana diferente.”

“Me he sentido muy cómodo encima de la moto, pero desafortunadamente nos hemos visto perjudicados en una caída y no he podido hacer nada para evitar irme al suelo. Intentaré recuperarme para poder estar bien en Barcelona. De todas formas, hoy todo queda en un segundo plano, todos mis pensamientos están con la familia, equipo y amigos de Jason.”

Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini will start the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley in 14th and 17th position respectively after having to go through Q1.

Bastianini made a step forward compared to the free practice and only a tenth of a second didn’t allow him from go to Q2. Marini closed a good lap, but it was not enough to finish in the top two, remaining 4 tenths behind the second classified.

Tomorrow at 14:00 the race of the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley will start, which will be the sixth of the season.

“This morning, in the third free practice we were fast enough, but then we made life a little bit difficult for ourselves. In the fourth practice we came back from the base of how we started this morning, and we were strong, so I was happy. In qualifying I could have done much better, but unfortunately, I caught another rider on my fastest lap and then I didn’t have time to do another lap. Anyway, we are close, and we will be able to fight. The goal will be to fight for the TOP-5.”

“I’m not happy at all with today’s qualifying, I expected to be faster and be ahead. For sure we were missing something, compared to yesterday we didn’t make many changes to the bike and I was struggling especially with the rear grip. We are studying the data and we are still working to find something for the warm up. For the race I’m still evaluating which tire to use, in FP4 I tried the hard front, but I had some problems. We will probably opt for the M/M tire, although we will have to manage the tires life in long runs.”

Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 completed the qualifying for the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley, where Niccolò Antonelli was 8th and Carlos Tatay 27th.

Antonelli, who was able to get through Q1, was affected by a red flag caused by a heavy crash and was unable to complete his last attempt, where he had been lowering his time considerably.

Unfortunately, during the third free practice, Tatay suffered a mechanical problem that prevented him from completing a competitive lap and in the qualifying session, he was unable to pass Q1.

The Moto3 race of the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley will start tomorrow at 11:00.

“It was a complicated day in Mugello because this morning we had our lap cancelled and we had to go through Q1. Anyway, we were able to get through the top guys and at the end the red flag came out. It was a very nervous qualifying. Anyway, we will start in eighth position and in any case it’s very positive and we have to try to have a good race pace. So we have to try to do that”

“It was a difficult day. In FP3 I was feeling comfortable, but once again we had another mechanical problem. It’s a bit frustrating, but we remain focused, in our line and working as we know how. Tomorrow is the race, qualifying didn’t go as we expected and nothing went as planned, but that’s how Saturdays are. We have to improve and Mugello is a circuit where we can easily overtake. I hope to have a good race because we have a good pace and we will give our best as always”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 ha completado la clasificación del Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley, donde Niccolò Antonelli ha sido 8ª y Carlos Tatay 27º.

Antonelli, que ha podido superar la Q1, se ha visto afectado por una bandera roja provocada por un fuerte accidente y no ha podido completar su última tentativa, donde venía bajando su registro de manera considerable.

Lamentablemente, durante el tercer entrenamiento libre, Tatay ha sufrido un problema mecánico que no le ha permitido completar una vuelta competitiva y en la sesión clasificatoria, no ha podido superar la Q1.

La carrera de Moto3 del Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley dará comienzo mañana a las 11:00.

“Ha sido un día complicado en Mugello porque esta mañana nos han anulado la vuelta y hemos tenido que pasar por la Q1. De todas formas, hemos podido pasar entre los primeros y al final ha aparecido la bandera roja. Ha sido una clasificación muy nerviosa De todos modos, salimos en octava posición y en cualquier caso es muy positivo y tenemos que intentar tener un buen ritmo de carrera. Así que tenemos que intentar hacer eso”

“Ha sido un día complicado. En el FP3 me estaba encontrando a gusto, pero otra vez más hemos vuelto a tener un problema mecánico. Es algo que es agobiante, pero continuamos centrados, en nuestra línea y trabajando como sabemos. Mañana es la carrera, la clasificación no ha ido como esperábamos y no nos ha salido nada de lo que habíamos planeado, pero así son los sábados. Tenemos que mejorar y Mugello es un circuito con muchos rebufos. Espero hacer una buena carrera porque tenemos un buen ritmo y daremos el máximo como siempre”

Los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 han concluido el primer día del Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley con buenas sensaciones. Niccolò Antonelli y Carlos Tatay han conseguido la 8ª y la 12ª posición respectivamente que, temporalmente y a la espera de los terceros entrenamientos libres, les da el acceso directo a la Q2 de la sesión clasificatoria.

Mañana a las 9:00 la acción volverá al trazado italiano para disputar los terceros entrenamientos libres previos a la clasificación del Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley.

“Hoy ha sido un buen día para pilotar en Mugello. Siempre es bonito, pero no es una pista fácil. Hoy hemos sido lo suficientemente rápidos, pero no me he sentido al 100% con la moto. Así que tenemos que intentar hacer algo para mejorar las sensaciones durante el día de mañana”

“Ha sido un día bastante positivo, en el FP1 teníamos algunos fallos y algunas cosas que mejorar y la verdad que en el FP2 lo hemos mejorado Sabemos el camino a seguir y sabemos nuestros puntos más débiles, así que mañana intentaremos dar el máximo, defender la Q2 y continuar trabajando con el equipo de cara a la carrera”
