Reale Avintia Moto3 and Carlos Tatay have not taken the Moto3 World Championship back the way they wanted it to. The Valencian rider was involved in an incident in the early stages of the race and was unable to do anything to avoid a crash that prevented him from completing the race at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Tatay, who started the race in 23rd position and had great expectations to make up ground and reach the points, lost control of his KTM after being hit by an opponent in the first corner. The Spaniard was unable to do anything to rejoin the race due to damage to his bike.

Despite being a complicated weekend for the team, Carlos Tatay and Reale Avintia Moto3 will have another opportunity in seven days at the same Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit, where the Gran Premio de Andalucia will be held, which will be the third round of the season for the category.

“It’s been a tough weekend and ending it this way is not the best, but what doesn’t knock you down makes you stronger. I take the positive side of this weekend, in the Warm-Up we have had very good feelings, very good pace to be fighting in the race so now to think about next Friday, try to start very concentrated and go for the next one”.

El Reale Avintia Moto3 y Carlos Tatay no han retomado el Campeonato Mundial de Moto3 de la forma que deseaban. El piloto valenciano se ha visto involucrado en un incidente en los primeros instantes de la prueba y no ha podido hacer nada para evitar una caída que no le ha permitido completar la carrera del Gran Premio de España.

Tatay, que arrancaba la prueba en 23ª posición y tenia grandes expectativas para recuperar terreno y llegar a las posiciones de puntos, ha perdido el control de su KTM tras verse envestido por un rival en la primera curva. El español no ha podido hacer nada para retomar la carrera debido a los daños en su moto.

Pese a ser un fin de semana complicado para el equipo, Carlos Tatay y el Reale Avintia Moto3 tendrán una nueva oportunidad en siete días en el mismo Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto, donde se celebrará el Gran Premio de Andalucía, la que será la tercera prueba de la temporada para la categoría.

“Ha sido un fin de semana complicado y acabar de esta manera no es lo mejor, pero lo que no te derriba te hace más fuerte. Me llevo lo positivo de este fin de semana, en el Warm-Up hemos tenido muy buenas sensaciones, muy buen ritmo para estar luchando en carrera así que ahora a pensar en el viernes que viene, tratar de salir muy concentrado y a por la siguiente.”

Carlos Tatay took 23rd place in qualifying for the Gran Premio de España at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit after a difficult session for the Valencia-based Reale Avintia Moto3 rider.

Tatay, who was the only rider to ride alone during qualifying, set a best time of 1:47.613, which will allow him to start from the eighth row on the grid.

Although the Spanish rider and the team had higher expectations for the timing, both Carlos Tatay and Reale Avintia Moto3 are looking forward to a positive result in tomorrow’s race, which will take place at 11am (local time).

“Despite not having been our best day, it has been positive since we have ruled out many things and continue to improve every time we hit the track. We are focused on our line of work and tomorrow we will go out to make a good career with a lot of desire to obtain results ”

Carlos Tatay ha logrado el vigésimo tercer puesto en las pruebas clasificatorias del Gran Premio de España en el Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto tras una sesión complicada para el piloto valenciano del Reale Avintia Moto3.

Tatay, que ha sido el único piloto que ha salido a rodar en solitario durante la clasificación, ha logrado un mejor tiempo de 1:47.613, que le permitirá partir en octava línea en la parrilla de salida.

Pese a que el piloto español y el equipo tenían unas expectativas más altas para el cronometrado, tanto Carlos Tatay como el Reale Avintia Moto3 se muestran expectantes y confiados para obtener un resultado positivo para la carrera de mañana, que se disputará a las 11:00 de la mañana (hora local).

“A pesar de no haber sido nuestro mejor día ha sido positivo ya que hemos descartado muchas cosas y seguimos mejorando cada vez que salimos a pista. Estamos enfocados en nuestra línea de trabajo y mañana saldremos a hacer una buena carrera con muchas ganas de obtener resultados”

The Moto3 class returned to action on February 5th and 6th at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit for the first private pre-season test. Carlos Tatay, new rider of the Reale Avintia Racing Team, had a first contact with his new team and his new bike.

The young Spanish rider has successfully completed two very intense and hard-working days. Tatay, at the controls of his KTM, has accumulated 140 laps to the Valencian circuit, a total of approximately 560 km during both days.

Both the rider and the team were able to test and carry out various configurations which helped to gather data that will facilitate the development of the bike for the next official test to be held on the 19th, 20th and 21st February at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit.

“It’s been two very positive test days, my first meeting with the technical staff and everyone in the team. I’ve already got to know the bike, I’m very happy with it and with the feeling, and I’m working from less to more. We are leaving with a very good feeling and looking forward to Jerez. To continue working and in Jerez more.”

La categoría de Moto3 volvió a la acción los pasados días 5 y 6 de febrero en el Circuito Ricardo Tormo en motivo de los primeros test privados de la pretemporada. Carlos Tatay, nueva incorporación del Reale Avintia Racing Team, ha tenido una primera toma de contacto con su nuevo equipo y su nueva moto.

El joven piloto español ha completado con éxito dos días muy intensos y de mucho trabajo. Tatay, a los mandos de su KTM, nada más y nada menos ha acumulado 140 vueltas al trazado valenciano, un total aproximado de 560 km durante ambos días.

Tanto el piloto como el equipo han podido probar y llevar a cabo diversas configuraciones que han ayudado a recopilar datos que facilitarán el desarrollo de la moto para los próximos test oficiales que se celebrarán el 19, 20 y 21 de febrero en el Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto.

“Han sido dos días de test muy positivos, mi primer encuentro con el staff técnico y todas las personas del equipo. He conocido ya la moto, estoy muy contento con ella y con las sensaciones y trabajando de menos a más. Nos vamos con muy buenas sensaciones y con muchísimas ganas de llegar a Jerez. A seguir trabajando y en Jerez más.”

Reale Avintia Racing returned to action from February 28th to March 1st and completed the final pre-season test at the Losail International Circuit before the start of the 2020 season.

The three days in Qatar have been productive and positive for the team. Carlos Tatay has been able to have a first contact with this new track for him. The Spanish rider has managed to accumulate very valuable mileage that has allowed him to improve his feelings and continue working on the development of his KTM thanks to all the data obtained.

During the three days Tatay managed to complete a total of 161 laps, adding more than 869 kilometres. The Valencian finished 26th in the combined classification, 1.9 seconds behind the fastest rider.

The work is done for Reale Avintia Racing and all eyes are on next week. From March 6th to 8th, the 2020 season will start at the Losail International Circuit on the occasion of the Qatar Grand Prix.

 

El Reale Avintia Racing ha vuelto a la acción del 28 de febrero a 1 de marzo y ha completado en el Circuito Internacional de Losail el que ha sido el último test de pretemporada antes de que de comienzo la temporada 2020.

Los tres días en Catar han sido productivos y positivos para el equipo. Carlos Tatay ha podido tener una primera toma de contacto con el circuito catarí. El piloto español ha conseguido acumular kilometraje muy valioso que le ha permitido mejorar sus sensaciones y seguir trabajando en el desarrollo de su KTM gracias todos los datos obtenidos.

Durante las tres jornadas Tatay ha conseguido rodar un total de 161 vueltas, sumando nada más y nada menos que 869 kilómetros. El valenciano ha concluido 26º en la combinada, a 1.9 segundos del primer clasificado.

El trabajo está hecho para el Reale Avintia Racing y todas las miradas están puestas en la semana que viene. Del 6 al 8 de marzo, la temporada 2020 dará comienzo en el mismo Circuito Internacional de Losail en motivo del Gran Premio de Catar.

“Terminamos tres días de entreno muy positivos en Catar. La verdad que estoy muy contento con el trabajo y con el equipo. Ahora toca seguir trabajando y seguir aprendiendo. Test acabado y ahora a disfrutar del fin de semana de carreras y de la temporada.”

In this way, the Reale Avintia Racing leaves to the Losail International Circuit, where from February 28th to March 1st the last pre-season Moto3 test will take place before the first race of the calendar at the same circuit, the Qatar Grand Prix.

“It’s been three very positive days. We were looking forward to it, but we knew it was going to be tough. The first year of the world championship will be difficult, but we have to learn and enjoy it to the fullest and that’s the positive thing I’m taking away with me. Now we have to keep working in Qatar.”
