El piloto italiano se ha quedado nuevamente a las puertas de los puntos después de finalizar 17º en su tercera carrera con el Reale Avintia Arizona 77, consiguiendo el que es su mejor resultado con el equipo hasta la fecha.

La anchura del trazado de Brno propició que se produjesen una gran cantidad de adelantamientos que, a su vez, ralentizaron notablemente el ritmo de la prueba. La carrera fue accidentada desde el principio y eso lo pudo aprovechar Stefano Nepa que, manteniéndose sobre su KTM, fue recuperando posiciones desde la 30ª desde la que partía en parrilla después de una complicada sesión de clasificación el sábado.

El mundial de Moto3 se volverá a citar la semana que viene en el circuito austriaco de Spielberg con motivo de la undécima prueba del mundial.

“Fue un fin de semana muy difícil para mí y para el equipo, no pudimos trabajar bien el viernes y eso nos penalizó, pero en el warm up dimos un salto adelante y nos acercamos. Ahora hay otra carrera para mejorar aún más, gracias a todo el equipo, a mi familia y patrocinadores. Nos vemos en el Red Bull Ring.”

After the summer break, the Italian rider will start this weekend his third GP with the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 in the Czech Republic. In the Brno circuit, a track he already knows, Nepa will try to continue progressing and improving his results on his KTM.

The Brno circuit has a length of 5.6km and has 8 turns to the right, 6 to the left that are usually joined in changes of direction, which makes it quite a symmetrical circuit. Despite its length, its longest straight barely exceeds 630m.

“We arrived in Brno for my third race with the team in the World Championship. It is a long and beautiful track that I already know and I like. During these three weeks of summer break I have trained a lot, especially the first week as I went in Andorra where I had fun with Rubén Xaus that helped me a lot. I arrived looking forward to do it well and I can’t wait to be back on track. “

Tras el parón veraniego, el piloto italiano cumplirá este fin de semana en la República Checa su tercer gran premio con el Reale Avintia Arizona 77. En el circuito de Brno, una pista que ya conoce, Nepa intentará seguir progresando y mejorando sus resultados sobre su KTM.

El circuito de Brno tiene una longitud de 5,6km y cuenta con 8 curvas a derecha, 6 a izquierda que se unen en a menudo en cambios de dirección , lo que lo hace un circuito bastante simétrico. A pesar de su longitud, su recta más larga apenas supera los 630m.

“Llegamos a Brno para la que será mi tercera carrera con el equipo en el mundial. Es una pista larga y bonita que ya conozco y que me gusta. Durante estas tres semanas de parón veraniego me he entrenado mucho, sobre todo la primera semana ya que estuve en Andorra donde me divertí con Rubén Xaus que me ayudó mucho. Llego con ganas de hacerlo bien y no veo la hora de volver a salir a pista”.

Stefano Nepa started the german race from the seventh row of the grid in 20th position. The Italian rider completed his second race with the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 in a new weekend of adaptation to his KTM.

The end of the race was supposed to be a question mark as nobody knew if the tires would arrive until the end in good shape and their consumption would have to be managed throughout the race. Sachsenring is a slow circuit, narrow and with very short straight lines, so slpistreams were not that important as in other occasions and did not get to form a large group once the pace rose in the second half of the race.

Stefano Nepa was climbing positions thanks to the crashes that were happening ahead to reach the 18th position, so close to the points’ positions. Next race will be at the Brno circuit on August 2, 3 and 4th, just after the summer break.

“It has been a very positive weekend. We got very close in terms of lap times and we have reduced the time with the top riders. We have lacked a bit of rhythm in the race because I can not make the pace of the first group, but in the next race we will continue working to get even closer and stay with the top riders throughout the race.”

Stefano Nepa salía en parrilla desde la séptima fila en 26º posición. El piloto italiano completó su segunda carrera mundialista con el Reale Avintia Arizona 77 en un nuevo fin de semana de adaptación a su KTM.

El final de carrera iba a ser una incógnita porque se sabía que los neumáticos iban a llegar muy desgastados y habría que gestionar su consumo a lo largo de la carrera. Al tratarse de un circuito lento, estrecho y con rectas muy cortas, no influyeron los rebufos como en otras ocasiones y no llegó a formarse un gran grupo una vez subió el ritmo en la segunda mitad de carrera

Stefano Nepa fue remontando posiciones gracias a los accidentes que se iban sucediendo por delante hasta llegar a la 18º posición, a las puertas de las posiciones de puntos. La próxima prueba será en el circuito de Brno los días 2, 3 y 4 de agosto, justo tras el parón veraniego.

“Ha sido un fin de semana muy positivo. Nos hemos acercado mucho en cuanto a los tiempos y hemos reducido el tiempo con los pilotos de cabeza. Nos ha faltado un poco de ritmo en carrera porque no consigo girar en el ritmo de los primeros, pero en la próxima carrera seguiremos trabajando para acercarnos aun más y permanecer con los cabeceros durante toda la carrera”.

After debuting in the Moto3 World Championship with the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 in Assen, Stefano Nepa is ready to continue with his adaptation to the team as he is back in the championship. The Italian rider wants to continue improving and polishing details that lead him to mark good times in practice to be able to start in the front positions in the race.

Sachsenring is one of the most characteristic racetracks of the calendar because of its design, since it has 10 left and 3 right turns that are linked in a narrow 3,671m full of ups and downs that make it the shortest circuit of the season.

“The Sachsenring is not my favorite circuit of the calendar, but I like it, most of the corners are left and that makes it characteristic. It will be the second race with the team and we have to work hard to improve. We’ll see how we do in the free Free Practices, I hope we can qualify straight for Q2. “

Tras debutar en el Campeonato del Mundo de Moto3 con el Reale Avintia Arizona 77 en la cita de Assen, Stefano Nepa debe seguir con su fase de adaptación al equipo su nueva etapa en el mundial. El piloto italiano quiere seguir mejorando y puliando detalles que le lleven a marcar buenos tiempos en los entrenamientos para poder salir en posiciones delanteras en carrera.

Sachsenring es uno de los trazados más característicos del calendario por su diseño ya que cuenta con 10 curvas a izquierda y 3 derecha que se enlazan en  unos estrechos 3.671m repletos de subidas y bajadas que lo convierten en el circuito más corto de la temporada.

“El de Sachsenring no es que sea mi circuito favorito del calendario, pero me gusta. La mayor parte de las curvas son a izquierdas y eso lo hace característico. Para mi será la segunda carrera con el equipo y tenemos que trabajar mucho para mejorar. Veremos cómo van los libres del viernes y espero que podamos clasificarnos directamente para la Q2”.

The race weekend in Assen was the scene of Stefano Nepa’s debut with the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 in the Moto3 World Championship. The Italian rider started the race from 27th position on the grid.

Once the race started, there was a large group of riders and, although at times it seemed that it was going to break, the changes of leadership in the head of the race, the strong wind and the low pace made the riders regroup once again.

Despite the fact that at the beginning it was a clean race, overtaking went on as the laps went by and cause several crashes and Stefano Nepa saw the oportunity to gain positions until crossing the finish line in the Top 20.

”The race went quite well, in the first few laps I was able to stay with the group but, unfortunately, afterwards I did not have a good rhythm and I lost contact with the group but this is only the beginning and we have to work hard to go forward. I have to thank the team and the mechanics who have done a great job these three days and also thanks to the sponsors and my family. We’ll try again in Sachsenring.”

El fin de semana de carreras en Assen fue escenario del debut de Stefano Nepa con el Reale Avintia Arizona 77 en el Campeonato del Mundo de Moto3. El piloto italiano arrancó la carrera desde la 27º posición en la parrilla de salida.

Una vez comenzó la prueba se formó un nutrido grupo de cabeza y, aunque en algunos momentos parecía que se iba a romper, los cambios de liderato en la cabeza de carrera, el fuerte viento y el bajo ritmo favorecían a una reagrupación de pilotos.

A pesar de que al comienzo fue una carrera limpia, se fueron sucediendo los adelantamientos a medida que pasaban las vueltas que dieron lugar a caídas y eso lo supo aprovechar Stefano Nepa para ir ganando posiciones hasta cruzar la linea de meta dentro del Top 20.

“La carrera ha ido bastante bien, en los primeros giros he podido permanecer con el grupo. Por desgracia, después no tenía buen ritmo y me he ido quedando poco a poco pero esto es solo el comienzo y debemos trabajar mucho para ir hacia adelante. Tengo que dar las gracias al equipo y a los mecánicos que han hecho un gran trabajo estos tres días y también a los patrocinadores y a mi familia. En Sachsenring lo volveremos a intentar.”

The Oakley Italian Grand Prix ends for the Reale Avintia Academy 77 rider with a result that doesn´t reflect the work done throughout the weekend.
In spite of qualifying far behind on the grid, 28 °, Vicente Pérez went to the Italian track ready to come back.
After a somewhat accidental start, the top riders rolled at a slow pace. So much so that the leading group came to form 17 riders, while Vicente was climbing positions. Although an end of race where there were many falls, Vicente Pérez could finish in 19th place with bittersweet feelings even improving the grid result.
