Reale Avintia Academy – GP of Argentina – Termas de Río Hondo

 Reale Avintia Academy and Livio Loi finished the first free practice sessions in Argentina with the fourth fastest lap time of the day (1’50.899). During the first session, Livio was focused on trying several things on his KTM to find the best set-up and get some feeling with the track. In the afternoon session, with the work already done, the young Belgian rider pushed harder to be at the front, and he has succeeded. Loi and the team are very positive for the rest of the weekend and they hope to qualify tomorrow in the top 5, to be able to fight for a good result on Sunday.

“I think the team and myself did great job today. In the morning I wanted to get in track, get some feeling in order to be able to take a step in the second free practice session and, at the end of the day we fought to be on top of the time sheets. In the first session the track was very dirty, but we wanted to try several things with used tyres. Now, in the second, we have managed to have a good and fast pace. I’m very happy and I want to thank the team for all the work. Today the forecast said it was going to rain and it is the same for all the weekend, but luckily today it wasn’t like that. Let’s hope it remain the same for tomorrow and Sunday”.

Reale Avintia Academy – GP of Argentina – Termas de Río Hondo

Reale Avintia Academy team arrives to the circuit of Termas de Río Hondo, Argentina, for the second round of the Moto3 World Championship this weekend. This is one of Livio Loi’s favourite circuits and he is willing to leave back the unlucky start of the season at the Grand Prix of Qatar.
The Belgian riders has always managed to be very fast in this circuit and he hopes to enjoy riding his bike this weekend.
Livio, is more and more comfortable with his KTM machine, and he expects to find the perfect race set-up with his team for Sunday.

“I’m looking forward to start the Grand Prix of Argentina because Termas de Río Hondo is one of my favourite circuits and I’ve been always fast here. I don’t see the time to start working with my crew and my goal will be leaving Argentina with a strong result.”

Reale Avintia Academy arriba al traçat de Termas de Rio Hondo, Argentina, per disputar la segona cita del Mundial de Moto3. Per Livio Loi es tracta un dels circuit més interessants i on està disposat a treures la espineta del passat Gran Premi de Qatar.

El pilot belga sempre ha aconseguit ser molt ràpid en aquest circuit i confia a donar alguna alegria aquest cap de setmana.

Livio, que cada vegada es troba més còmode amb la KTM, espera evolucionar i aconseguir la posada a punt perfecta per a la carrera de diumenge.

“Estic desitjant que comenci el Gran Premi d’Argentina perquè Termas de Rio Hondo sempre ha estat un dels meus circuits preferits; on sempre he anat molt ràpid. Tinc moltes ganes de començar el treball amb l’equip i fer un bon resultat aquí.”

Reale Avintia Academy llega al trazado de Termas de Río Hondo, Argentina, para disputar la segunda cita del Mundial de Moto3. Para Livio Loi se trata uno de los circuito más interesantes y donde está dispuesto a quitarse la espinita del pasado Gran Premio de Qatar.

El piloto belga siempre ha conseguido ser muy rápido en este circuito y confía en dar alguna alegría este fin de semana. Livio, que cada vez se encuentra más cómodo con la KTM, espera evolucionar y conseguir la puesta a punto perfecta para la carrera del domingo.

“Estoy deseando que empiece el Gran Premio de Argentina porque Termas de Río Hondo siempre ha sido uno de mis circuitos favoritos; donde siempre he ido muy rápido. Tengo muchas ganas de comenzar el trabajo con el equipo y hacer un buen resultado aquí.”

Folloging the issues in qualifying and a decent warm-up, all was set for the first race of the season. Livio Loi and the Reale Avintia Academy team were ready to fight for the points in Qatar, but the start was not good and then Livio had some techincal problems that finaly forced him to retire in the las half of the race.

This is not the way the rider and the team had in mind, but this is racing. Now is time to look forward to Argentina, a really good track for Loi were he was on the podium two years ago. The team will now check all the data to find whay the shifter was not working in the right way, and try to score the first championship points in the next round of the Moto3 World Championship.

 

“We knew before the race that it was going to be difficult, because this morning we tried several things on the bike and, although we imprioved a little bit we were not perfect. The satr was not so bad, but the gap with the front was too big from the beginning. It was impossible to get with the leading group but I wanted to finish the race. Then, at the end of the race I had a problem with the shifter and I decided to retire. We have to see what happened and now I’m looking forward to Argentina, a track that I really love.”

Tot estava en marxa per a la primera Carrera de l’any després de la qualififying i d’decent 1 warm- up.

Livio Loi i l’equip del Reale Avintia Academy team estaven preparats per lluitar pels punts, però l’inici no va ser bo i Livio va tenir diversos problemes tècnics que el van forçar a retirar-se en la segona mitat de carrera.
Això no era el que l’equip tenia en ment, però així són les carreres. Ara és moment per pensar a Argentina, un bon circuit per Livio que va fer podi fa dos anys allà. L’equip revisarà les dades per trobar per què el shifter no estava funcionant correctament i intentarà recuperar els primers punts en el següent Gran Premi del Món de Moto3.

“Abans de la cursa sabíem que anava a ser complicada, perquè al matí vam provar diverses coses; encara que millorem alguna cosa, la moto no anava perfecta. Era impossible arribar al grup de cap però vaig voler acabar la carrera. Després va començar el problema amb el shifter i he decidit retirar-me. Hem de veure què ha passat i ara cal centrar-se en Argentina, un circuit que realment m’encanta.”

Todo estaba en marcha para la primera carrera del año después de la qualifying y de un decente warm- up. Livio Loi y el equipo del Reale Avintia Academy  estaban preparados para luchar por los puntos, pero el inicio no fue bueno y Livio tuvo varios problemas técnicos que le forzaron a retirase en la segunda mitad de carrera.

Esto no era lo que el equipo tenía en mente, pero así son las carreras. Ahora es momento para pensar en Argentina, un buen circuito para Livio que hizo podio hace dos años allí. El equipo revisará los datos para encontrar por qué el shifter no estaba funcionando correctamente e intentará recuperar los primeros puntos, en el siguiente Gran Premio del Mundo de Moto3.

“Antes de la carrera sabíamos que iba a ser complicada, porque por la mañana probamos varias cosas; aunque mejoramos algo, la moto no iba perfecta. Era imposible alcanzar al grupo de cabeza pero quise terminar la carrera. Después comenzó el problema con el shifter y he decidio retirarme. Tenemos que ver qué ha pasado y ahora hay que centrarse en Argentina, un circuito que realmente me encanta”

Les condicions que s’han donat avui al traçat de Losail no han estat les més adequades per LivioLoi i Reale Avintia Academy, que s’han hagut de conformar amb una sisena línia en graella per a la cursa primera cursa de la temporada 2018.

El pilot belga tenia com a objectiu donar un pas més en la sessió d’entrenaments de classificació, i així poder situar-se entre els deu primers. Però el vent i les males condicions de la pista han impedit a Livio sentir-se còmode amb la seva KTM i avançar en la recerca de la posada a punt més adequada.

Totes les expectatives de l’equip estan centrades en el warm-up, on esperen poder trobar alguna cosa que els permeti fer un pas endavant i començar la temporada amb una bona carrera.

“El final de la sessió classificatòria no ha estat fàcil i tampoc les condicions de la pista eren les òptimes; el temps que he marcat al final de la sessió no ha estat el que s’esperava. Demà podem fer una millora en la posada a punt de la moto durant el warm-up i, serà important aconseguir-ho. En carrera normalment

hi ha un grup gran, així que espero fer un pas per sentir-me més còmode amb la moto i intentar estar al top ten,”

The track conditions at Losail International Circuit have been far from perfect today and, this was not the best for Reale Avintia Academy rider, Livio Loi, who struggled to find the pace and tomorrow will start the first race of 2018 season from the sixth row of the grid.
The aim of the Belgian rider was to take one more step in qualifying and get in the top ten. But the wind and bad track conditions he wasn’t able to get good feeling with his KTM and he couldn’t move forward with the set-up of the bike.
All the expectations of the team are now focused on the warm-up session, where they hope to find something that allows them to take a step forward and start the season with a good race.

 

“The end of the qualifying session was not easy for me and the conditions of the track were not optimal either. To be honest, the lap time I did at the end of the session wasn’t what I expected. Tomorrow we will try to improve the set-up of the bike during the warm-up session and, it will be important to do it. In the race there is usually a large group, so I hope to take a step tomorrow morning to be more comfortable with the bike and I’ll give my best to try to be in the top ten.”

Las condiciones que se han dado hoy en el trazado de Losail no han sido las más adecuadas para Livio Loi y Reale Avintia Academy, que se han tenido que conformar con una sexta línea en parrilla para la carrera primera carrera de la temporada 2018.

El piloto belga tenía como objetivo dar un paso más en la sesión de entrenamientos de clasificación, y así poder situarse entre los diez primeros. Pero el viento y las malas condiciones de la pista han impedido a Livio sentirse cómodo con su KTM y avanzar en la búsqueda de la puesta a punto más adecuada.

Todas las expectativas del equipo están centradas en el warm-up, donde esperan poder encontrar algo que les permita dar un paso adelante y comenzar la temporada con una buena carrera.

Mañana podemos hacer una mejora en la puesta a punto de la moto durante el warm-up y, será importante conseguirlo. En carrera normalmente hay un grupo grande, así que espero dar un paso para sentirme más cómodo con la moto e intentar estar en el top ten.”
