The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and the Avintia VR46 Academy concluded the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini race with a very positive result for the team.

Niccolò Antonelli crossed the finish line in an excellent 2nd position, his second consecutive podium and third of the season. After starting 3rd, the VR46 Academy rider made a good start, recovering one position. With 14 laps to go, Antonelli made a mistake that caused him to lose four positions. However, thanks to his better pace over his rivals, the Italian was able to climb positions to finish in a well-deserved 2nd position.

Carlos Tatay took a hard-earned 8th position. The Valencian rider lost some positions at the start, dropping to 14th. As the laps went by, Tatay was able to recover and join the fight in a second group made up of five riders. In the end, the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 rider finished 8th, his second best result of the season after 6th in Jerez.

In two weeks time, and two years later, the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and the Avintia VR46 Academy will head to the United States, where the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas will take place from October 1st to 3rd.

“I’m happy with the second position, although it was a pity, because without the mistake I made I could have won. I was managing all the laps to be able to attack, but after the mistake I finished last in the group. It was difficult to keep the pace and be close to the other, but in the end I was able to come back and, in the last two laps, I regained the second position. I’m happy because we were fast and the race was really nice. We will keep pushing like this until the end of the season.”

“It was a very positive weekend and we worked very well together with the team. We are very satisfied with the work, although the result could have been better. I made a mistake on the first lap which cost me several positions, but as the laps went by I had a very good pace and was able to recover positions. I want to thank the team for all the work they have done and in two weeks in Austin, more and better.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy han concluido la carrera del Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, con un resultado muy positivo para el equipo.

Niccolò Antonelli ha cruzado la línea de meta en una excelente 2ª posición, consiguiendo así su segundo podio consecutivo y el tercero de la temporada. Tras arrancar 3º, el piloto de la VR46 Academy ha ejecutado una buena salida, recuperando una posición. A falta de 14 vueltas para el final, Antonelli ha cometido un error que le ha hecho perder hasta cuatro posiciones. Pese a ello, gracias al ritmo superior respecto a sus rivales, el italiano ha podido escalar posiciones para terminar en una 2ª merecida posición.

Carlos Tatay ha conseguido una 8ª posición muy trabajada. El valenciano ha perdido algunas posiciones en la salida, cayendo hasta la 14ª. Al paso de las vueltas, Tatay ha podido rehacerse y entrar en la pelea de un segundo grupo compuesto por cinco pilotos. Finalmente, el piloto del Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 ha sido 8º, logrando su segundo mejor resultado de la temporada tras la 6ª posición en Jerez.

Dentro de dos semanas, y dos años después, el Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy pondrán rumbo a Estados Unidos, donde se disputará el Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas del 1 al 3 de octubre.

“Estoy feliz con la 2ª posición, aunque ha sido una lástima, porque sin el error que he cometido podría haber ganado. He estado gestionando todas las vueltas para poder atacar, pero después del error he acabado el último del grupo. Ha sido complicado mantener el ritmo y estar cerca del resto, pero al final he podido remontar y, en las dos últimas vueltas, he recuperado la 2ª posición. Estoy contento porque hemos sido rápidos y la carrera ha sido muy bonita. Seguiremos así, apretando hasta el final de temporada.”

“Ha sido un fin de semana muy positivo y hemos trabajado muy bien junto al equipo. Estamos muy satisfechos con el trabajo, aunque el resultado podría haber sido mejor. He cometido un fallo en la primera vuelta que me ha costado varias posiciones, pero cuando han ido pasando las vueltas he tenido un muy buen ritmo y he podido recuperar posiciones. Quiero agradecer al equipo todo el trabajo que ha hecho y en dos semanas en Austin, más y mejor.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy have completed the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini qualifying at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Niccolò Antonelli will start the race from a brilliant 3rd position, after setting a time of 1:42.020. The Italian rider has been fast throughout the weekend and in qualifying, he set a good lap time that will allow him to start from the front row.

Carlos Tatay was able to go through the Q1 cut, finishing 1st. In Q2, the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 rider was 10th fastest of the session, setting a best time of 1:42.566.

Tomorrow at 11:00 the Moto3 race of the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini will start, where Antonelli and Tatay will fight for a good result for the team.

“Qualifying went really well. I am very happy with how it went and the front row was our target. Tomorrow we will start from the front, we have a good pace and I think it will be a fast race. We will try to get a good result.”

“It was a positive day. We have done a good job since this morning, going from less to more and making progress after having a difficult day yesterday. We will keep working to try to take another step forward and in the race we will give our best.”

Niccolò Antonelli arrancará la carrera desde una brillante 3ª posición, tras marcar un tiempo de 1:42.020. El piloto italiano se ha mostrado rápido durante todo el fin de semana y en la clasificación, ha cerrado una buena vuelta que le permitirá partir desde primera línea.

Carlos Tatay ha podido superar el corte de la Q1 quedando 1º. En la Q2, el piloto del Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 ha sido el 10º más rápido de la sesión, consiguiendo un mejor registro de 1:42.566.

Mañana a las 11:00 comenzará la carrera de la categoría de Moto3 del Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, donde Antonelli y Tatay lucharán para conseguir un buen resultado para el equipo.

Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy finished the first day of the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Niccolò Antonelli finished 4th in the combined free practice times after the first two free practice sessions, which puts him in direct access positions for Q2. The VR46 Academy rider set a best time of 1:42.452, set during the afternoon session.

Carlos Tatay finished 15th in the combined free practice times. The Valencian rider made a step forward from the first free practice to the second, which allowed him to set his best time of the day in the afternoon session, stopping the clock at 1:43.140.

Tomorrow at 9:00 the third free practice of the Moto3 class will start, before the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini qualifying.

“Today I felt good on the bike and we did several laps with a good pace, so I’m happy. Tomorrow we will try to continue on this way, but we are satisfied with today’s work.”

“Tomorrow we will have to keep working and we know where we need to improve. We will go for a good day and try to go straight into Q2, that will be our target.”

Niccolò Antonelli ha concluído 4º en la clasificación combinada tras los dos primeros entrenamientos libres, lo que le coloca en posiciones de acceso directo a la Q2. El piloto de la VR46 Academy ha marcado un mejor tiempo de 1:42.452, conseguido durante la sesión de la tarde.

Por su parte, Carlos Tatay ha finalizado 15º en la clasificación combinada. El piloto valenciano ha dado un paso adelante desde el primer entrenamiento libre hasta el segundo, lo que le ha permitido marcar su mejor registro del día en la sesión de la tarde, parando el cronómetro en 1:43.140.

Mañana a las 9:00 dará comienzo el tercer entrenamiento libre de la categoría de Moto3, previo a la clasificación del Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

“Hoy me he sentido bien con la moto y hemos hecho varias vueltas siempre con un buen ritmo, por eso estoy contento. Mañana intentaremos seguir por este camino, pero estamos satisfechos con el trabajo de hoy.”

“Mañana tendremos que seguir trabajando y ya sabemos dónde tenemos que mejorar. Iremos a por un buen día e intentaremos pasar directamente a la Q2, ese será nuestro objetivo.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy will compete this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for the 14th round of the championship, the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

Niccolò Antonelli is currently 7th in the world standing with 98 points and arrives in Misano after a positive weekend at MotorLand Aragón after finishing 5th. The Italian rider will face his home Grand Prix in Misano and will be looking for a good result in front of the Italian crowd.

Carlos Tatay is 23rd with 20 points. The Spanish rider was unable to achieve a good result at Aragón after crashing and will be looking to reverse the situation at Misano and cross the finish line in a good position.

This Friday at 9:00am, Antonelli and Tatay will contest the first free practice of the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

“We are in Misano, my home Grand Prix. I am very happy, but we will approach the weekend like any other. We will do the best we can and try to do as we have been doing so far. We will give our best from Friday and the goal for the weekend is going to be in the top 5.”

“This weekend I want to get back the good feeling we had at Silverstone. I’m motivated and it’s a circuit I like a lot. We will work from the beginning and we will try to have a good weekend.”

Niccolò Antonelli es actualmente 7º en la clasificación general con 98 puntos y llega a Misano tras un fin de semana positivo en MotorLand Aragón tras finalizar 5º. El italiano afrontará su gran premio de casa y buscará cosechar un buen resultado delante del público italiano.

Por su parte, Carlos Tatay es 23º con 20 puntos. El piloto español no pudo conseguir en Aragón un buen resultado tras irse al suelo y, en Misano, buscará revertir la situación y cruzar la línea de meta en una buena posición.

Este viernes a las 9:00, Antonelli y Tatay disputarán el primer entrenamiento libre del Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

“Estamos en Misano, mi gran premio de casa. Estoy muy feliz, pero enfocaremos el fin de semana como cualquier otro. Haremos las cosas lo mejor que podamos y trataremos de hacerlo como lo hemos estado haciendo hasta el momento. Daremos el máximo desde el viernes y el objetivo para el fin de semana va a ser estar entre los 5 mejores.”

“Este fin de semana quiero recuperar las buenas sensaciones que tuvimos en Silverstone. Vengo motivado y es un circuito que me gusta mucho. Trabajaremos desde el principio e intentaremos completar un buen fin de semana.”

The Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón has finished for the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and the Avintia VR46 Academy.

Niccolò Antonelli crossed the finish line in 5th position, after starting 8th. The Italian rider had a difficult start to the race, losing several positions and even running 19th. However, during the final stages of the race, Antonelli increased his pace and was finally able to catch the front group to score 11 more points.

Carlos Tatay suffered a crash and was unable to finish the race. The Valencian rider, who started from 20th position, had set himself the objective of coming back. Unfortunately, with 9 laps to go, Tatay lost control of his bike and couldn’t avoid crashing.

“The race went well, but it was a bit tricky. The start was difficult, as I had some stomach problems. During the race, we regained the feeling and the good pace, and fifth position is positive. We have to be happy, even if the podium was very close.”

El Gran Premio Tissot de Aragón ha finalizado para el Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy.

Niccolò Antonelli ha cruzado la línea de meta en 5ª posición, tras arrancar 8º. El piloto italiano ha tenido un inicio de carrera complicado, perdiendo varias posiciones y llegando a rodar 19º. Pese a ello, durante los últimos compases, Antonelli ha aumentado su ritmo y finalmente ha podido dar caza al grupo delantero, para poder sumar 11 puntos más.

Carlos Tatay ha sufrido una caída y no ha podido terminar la carrera. El valenciano, que partía desde la 20ª posición, se había marcado el objetivo de remontar posiciones. Desafortunadamente, a falta de 9 vueltas para el final, Tatay ha perdido el control de su moto y no ha podido evitar irse al suelo.

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy, pondrán rumbo la semana que viene al Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, dónde se disputará la 14ª ronda del calendario, el Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

“La carrera ha ido bien, pero ha sido un poco complicada. El comienzo ha sido difícil, ya que he tenido algunos problemas en el estómago. Cuando han ido pasando las vueltas, hemos recuperado la sensaciones y el buen ritmo, y la quinta posición es positiva. Tenemos que estar contentos, aunque el podio haya estado muy cerca.”

“Un fin de semana para olvidar. Las cosas no han salido como queríamos, pero nos quedamos con lo positivo y ya estamos centrados en Misano, dónde intentaremos conseguir un buen resultado.”
