Los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama Racing han disputado en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli los dos primeros entrenamientos libres del Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, donde la lluvia ha hecho acto de presencia por la tarde.

Xavi Cardelús ha sido el 13º en la clasificación combinada con un tiempo de 1:46.033, conseguido en la sesión matinal. Por la tarde con la pista mojada, el piloto andorrano ha marcado el 7º mejor registro de la sesión.

André Pires ha rodado por primera vez en el circuito de Misano. El piloto portugués ha acabado 18º en la clasificación combinada y, al igual que el resto de pilotos, ha conseguido su mejor tiempo por la mañana, parando el cronómetro en 1:58.513.

Mañana a las 11:45, Cardelús y Pires buscarán de conseguir una buena posición en la E-Pole del Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli y, por la tarde a partir de las 16:20, dará comienzo la primera carrera de las dos que se disputarán este fin de semana.

“Ha sido una mañana complicada, pero por la tarde me he sentido mejor. Como siempre en lluvia, tengo buenas sensaciones que me permiten ser rápido. En condiciones de seco, aún necesitamos mejorar ya que la configuración de la moto no ha sido del todo buena, pero es algo normal en el FP1. Mañana si podemos mejorar algunos aspectos de la moto y yo ser un poco más rápido, daremos un gran paso adelante. Espero que la E-Pole sea en mojado para estar lo más arriba posible.”

“Primer día terminado. Hoy he conocido por primera vez este circuito y me está gustando. El segundo entrenamiento libre ha sido con lluvia y vuelta a vuelta me he ido sintiendo mejor con la moto. Ha sido un buen viernes.”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing lands this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, where the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini will host the final round of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup.

For the first time this season, the Grand Prix will be compound of two races, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

Xavi Cardelús is currently 18th in the world standing with 7 points. The Andorran rider will look to close the season with a good result to recover from the bad luck he has had on Sundays throughout the year.

André Pires is 16th with a total of 11 points. The Portuguese rider will close his first season in the MotoE World Cup at Misano after a year of learning, where he has made great steps ahead since the first round of the calendar so far.

The first free practice for the MotoE class of the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini will start on Friday at 8:20am.

“We are facing the last weekend of the year. We will keep working as we have been doing so far and I know it can be a great weekend. The goal is to do well, as we have been doing so far and, despite the fact that we haven’t finished on Sundays, we have shown a great level and speed all season. I’m motivated to finish the year as I think we deserve to do.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Racing aterriza este fin de semana en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, donde se celebrará el Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, escenario de la última ronda de la FIM Enel MotoE World Cup.

Por primera vez esta temporada, el gran premio estará compuesto por dos carreras, una que se disputará el sábado y la otra, el domingo.

Xavi Cardelús es actualmente 18º en la clasificación general de la categoría con 7 puntos. El andorrano buscará cerrar la temporada con un buen resultado para compensar la mala suerte que ha arrastrado los domingos durante todo el año.

Por su parte, André Pires, es 16º con un total de 11 puntos. El piloto portugués cerrará su primera temporada en la Copa del Mundo de MotoE en Misano tras un año de aprendizaje, donde ha mostrado pasos adelante agigantados desde la primera cita del calendario hasta ahora.

El viernes a las 8:20 dará comienzo el primer entrenamiento libre de la categoría de MotoE del Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

“Afrontamos el último fin de semana del año. Seguiremos trabajando como hasta ahora y sé que puede ser un gran fin de semana. El objetivo es hacerlo bien, como hemos estado haciendo hasta ahora y, pese a que no hemos acabado de rematar los domingos, hemos demostrado un gran nivel y velocidad toda la temporada. Estoy motivado para despedir el año como creo que nos merecemos.”

“Estoy motivado para esta carrera. Tengo ganas de conocer el circuito ya que es nuevo para mí, por lo que tendré que aprender todo lo más rápido posible. Lo más importante será disfrutar encima de la moto y que sea un fin de semana muy bueno para cerrar bien la temporada.”

André Pires and Xavi Cardelús have finished the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, where the Portuguese rider was 16th and the Andorran 18th after a crash.

Cardelús, who started the race in 6th position, was doing a great performance fighting for the front positions. But, on the penultimate lap, he lost control of his Energica Ego Corsa and was unable to avoid a crash that made him lose any chance of a good result. In the end, he crossed the finish line 18th.

André Pires was only half a second away from finishing in the points. The Portuguese rider, who finished 18th in the E-Pole, maintained a good pace throughout the laps, but in a race of only 5 laps, he did not have enough time to make further progress.

“We were unlucky again and couldn’t finish the race. Anyway, I’m very happy and proud of myself for the race I did. This weekend I could really see my potential and, despite the crash, I’m still satisfied with all the work.”

“It was a good race, although it was too short. At the beginning I struggled a bit because the track was cold and had no grip. Then I got used to it and I kept a good pace, cutting time with the riders in front. In five laps there is not too much to do, but I’m happy with how it went.”

André Pires y Xavi Cardelús han concluido la carrera del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, donde el portugués ha sido 16º y el andorrano 18º tras sufrir una caída.

Cardelús, que arrancaba la carrera en 6ª posición, estaba realizando una gran actuación luchando por las posiciones delanteras. Pero, en la penúltima vuelta, ha perdido el control de su Energica Ego Corsa y no ha podido evitar una caída que le ha hecho perder cualquier opción de lograr un buen resultado. Finalmente, ha cruzado la línea de meta 18º.

André Pires se ha quedado a tan sólo medio segundo de terminar en zona de puntos. El portugués, que obtuvo la 18ª posición en la E-Pole, ha mantenido un buen ritmo durante toda la carrera, pero en una carrera de tan sólo 5 vueltas, no ha tenido suficiente tiempo de seguir remontando.

La Copa del Mundo de MotoE cerrará la temporada con una doble carrera en el Gran Premio de San Marino, que se celebrará del 17 al 19 de septiembre en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

“Otra vez hemos tenido mala suerte y no hemos podido terminar la carrera. De todas formas, estoy muy contento y orgulloso de mí mismo por la carrera que he hecho. Este fin de semana he podido ver realmente mi potencial y, pese a la caída, sigo estando satisfecho por todo el trabajo.”

“Ha sido una buena carrera, aunque demasiado corta. Al principio me ha costado un poco ya que el asfalto estaba frío y tenía poco agarre. Después ya me he acostumbrado y he mantenido un buen ritmo, recortando tiempo a los pilotos de delante. En cinco vueltas hay poco que hacer, pero estoy contento por cómo ha ido.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Racing riders took part in the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich E-Pole at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

Xavi Cardelús will start the race on the second row of the grid. The Andorran rider has completed a great lap, with a time of 1:35.704. With this position, Cardelús will have a great opportunity to get a good result in tomorrow’s race.

André Pires had to settle for 18th position. The Portuguese, who was having his best weekend since his debut in the category, exceeded the limits of the track at turn 6 during his qualifying lap. This mistake meant that his time was cancelled.

Los pilotos de Avintia Esponsorama Racing han disputado en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg la E-Pole del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

Xavi Cardelús partirá la carrera en segunda línea de la parrilla de salida. El piloto andorrano ha completado una gran vuelta, con un tiempo de 1:35.704. Con esta posición, Cardelús tendrá una gran oportunidad de conseguir un buen resultado en la carrera de mañana.

Por su parte, André Pires se ha tenido que conformar con la 18ª posición. El portugués, que estaba completando el mejor fin de semana desde su debut en la categoría, ha superado los límites del trazado en la curva 6 durante su vuelta de clasificación. Este error ha hecho que su tiempo quedara anulado.

Los puntos del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich se repartirán en la carrera de mañana, que dará comienzo a las 15:30.

“Estoy contento. Hemos dado un gran paso adelante en el FP3 y necesitaba a alguien delante para que me ayudara a mejorar en el primer sector. Es el primer fin de semana que estoy a dos segundos del primero y que estoy luchando con el resto del grupo. Mañana daré todo en la carrera y creo que podemos conseguir un buen resultado.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Racing riders made their debut today at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, where they completed the first and second free practice of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

Xavi Cardelús had a successful day and finished in 8th position in the combined practice times. The Andorran rider was 4th in the morning and, in the afternoon, he finished 8th despite improving his time by 6 tenths of a second. Cardelús’ best time was 1:36.213.

André Pires had his first taste of the Red Bull Ring. The Portuguese rider suffered from some technical problems which did not allow him to do too many laps to the circuit. Anyway, Pires showed a great progression compared to previous Grand Prix and ended the day in 18th position with a time of 1:38.800.

Tomorrow at 8:15, Cardelús and Pires will take part in the third free practice before the E-Pole of the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

“It’s not a bad start to the weekend. We’re eighth, so that’s not bad. My fastest lap was cancelled, and with that lap I would have been sixth. Anyway, we need to stay focused and work hard this afternoon to get a good result in the E-Pole tomorrow.”

“I’ve had a good first contact with the circuit and I’m liking it. I trained hard during the summer break and that made me feel more comfortable with the bike and I’m closer to the other riders. We had some technical problems and I wasn’t able to do too many laps, but the team is working to solve them. I’m looking forward to getting back on track and being able to do more laps, because I only managed to do six fast laps.”

André Pires ha tenido su primera toma de contacto con el Red Bull Ring. El portugés ha sufrido algunos problemas técnicos que no le han permitido sumar demasiadas vueltas al circuito. Pese a ello, Pires ha mostrado una gran progresión respecto a los anteriores grandes premios y ha cerrado el día en 18ª posición, con un tiempo de 1:38.800.

Mañana a las 8:15, Cardelús y Pires participarán en el tercer entrenamiento libre previo a la E-Pole del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

“No ha sido un mal comienzo del fin de semana. Somos octavos, así que no está nada mal. Mi vuelta más rápida ha sido cancelada, y con esa vuelta hubiera sido sexto. De todas formas, necesitamos seguir centrados y trabajar duro esta tarde para mañana conseguir un buen resultado en la E-Pole.”

“He tenido una primera toma de contacto con el circuito muy buena y me está gustando. He entrenado duro durante el parón y eso ha hecho sentirme más cómodo con la moto y estar más cerca del resto de pilotos. Hemos tenido algunos problemas técnicos y no me han permitido dar demasiadas vueltas, aunque el equipo está trabajando para poder solucionarlos. Tengo ganas de volver a la pista y poder dar más vueltas, porque durante los entrenos solamente he cerrado seis vueltas rápidas.”

“I was able to recharge my batteries during the summer break. I’m really looking forward to getting back on the MotoE bike and the Red Bull Ring is a circuit I really like. We will keep working as hard as we have been, even if the results haven’t been what we wanted, but I’m sure we will be rewarded soon.”

“I had a positive break. I have trained a lot, both supermotard and motocross. I’m really looking forward to getting back on the MotoE and seeing if I’ve made any progress. I can’t wait for the weekend to start working. I feel very motivated.”
