La Copa del Mundo de MotoE aterriza este fin de semana en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, donde se llevará a cabo el Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, quinta cita de la temporada.

Xavi Cardelús, actualmente 18º en la clasificación general con 7 puntos, está teniendo una temporada desafortunada hasta el momento. Pese a ello, el piloto andorrano se está mostrando rápido con la Energica Ego Corsa y llega ambicioso a Austria, con el objetivo principal de conseguir un buen resultado.

André Pires afronta este fin de semana un nuevo reto para él. El piloto del Avintia Esponsorama Racing encara el Gran Premio de Austria con ganas de seguir evolucionando encima de la moto y, poco a poco, acercarse a las posiciones delanteras de la categoría. Pires se encuentra 16º en la clasificación, con un total de 11 puntos.

La acción en el Red Bull Ring – Spielberg para los pilotos de MotoE, dará comienzo el viernes a las 11:50 para disputar en primer entrenamiento libre del Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

“He podido recargar las pilas en el parón de verano. Tengo muchas ganas de volver a subirme a la MotoE y el Red Bull Ring es un circuito que me gusta mucho. Vamos a seguir trabajando como hasta ahora pese a que los resultados no hayan salido como queríamos, pero seguro que pronto llegará nuestra recompensa.”

“He tenido un parón positivo. He entrenado mucho, tanto ‘supermotard’ como ‘motocross’. Tengo muchas ganas de volver a subirme a la MotoE y poder ver si he conseguido evolucionar. Estoy ansioso de que comience el fin de semana para empezar a trabajar. Me siento muy motivado.”

Avintia Esponsorama completed the Motul TT Assen, fourth round of the MotoE World Cup, with Cardelús 12th and Pires 17th.

Xavi Cardelús had an unfortunate E-Pole as his lap was cancelled and he started from the back of the grid. After several unlucky races, the Andorran rider made a great comeback and in only 7 laps he was able to move up to 12th position.

André Pires missed out the points places by just two positions. The Portuguese rider made a step forward compared to previous races with a much more competitive pace. Despite this, Pires had to settle for 17th position.

The next MotoE World Cup Grand Prix will be held at the Red Bull Ring, which will host the Motorrad Grand Prix von Osterreich on 13, 14 and 15 August.

“It wasn’t the race I wanted, but we knew it was going to be difficult starting from the last positions. It wasn’t a bad position, but probably if we had started from the middle of the grid, it would have been easier. We will keep working for the next one.”

“I’m happy and it’s a circuit I liked. It wasn’t my best position, but it was the race where I had the best pace. I felt good with the bike, and we made a step forward. Now it’s time to work for the next race and to be closer to the rest.”

El Avintia Esponsorama ha completado el Motul TT Assen, cuarta cita de la Copa del Mundo de MotoE, con Cardelús 12º y Pires 17º.

Xavi Cardelús tuvo una desafortunada E-Pole ya que su vuelta fue cancelada y ha partido desde la parte trasera de la parrilla. Tras varias carreras con mala suerte, el piloto andorrano ha ejecutado una gran remontada y en tan sólo 7 vueltas ha sido de capaz de alzarse hasta la 12ª posición.

André Pires ha quedado fuera de la zona de puntos por tan sólo dos posiciones. El portugués ha dado un paso adelante respecto a las carreras anteriores con un ritmo de carrea mucho más competitivo. Pese a ello, finalmente Pires se ha tenido que conformar con la 17ª posición.

El próximo gran premio de la Copa del Mundo de MotoE se disputará en el Red Bull Ring, circuito que albergará el Motorrad Grand Prix von Osterreich durante el 13, 14 y 15 de agosto.

“No ha sido la carrera que quería, pero sabíamos que iba a ser complicado empezando desde las últimas posiciones. No ha sido una mala posición, pero seguramente si hubiéramos empezado desde la parte media de la parrilla hubiera sido más fácil. Seguiremos trabajando para la siguiente.”

“Estoy contento y es un circuito que me ha gustado. No ha sido mi mejor posición, pero ha sido la carrera que he tenido mejor ritmo. Me he sentido bien con la moto y hemos dado un paso adelante. Ahora toca trabajar para la siguiente carrera y poder estar más cerca del resto.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Racing riders completed the E-Pole of the Motul TT Assen, where André Pires finished 15th. Xavi Cardelús will start from the back of the grid due to a lap cancellation.

Pires closed his lap with a time of 1:48.799. The Portuguese rider was able to improve his feeling compared to yesterday and is in a good position to fight for the points in tomorrow’s race.

Xavi Cardelús will start the race 16th. The Andorran rider has been strong throughout the weekend, but unfortunately in his E-Pole lap he has exceeded the track limits, so his lap has been cancelled.

“It wasn’t a good day for me and it’s the first mistake I’ve made in an E-Pole. I went long in a corner and stepped off the track. I think today we had a chance to get a good position for tomorrow as we were fast and there are some riders in front of us who also made mistakes. I need to focus for tomorrow, make a good start and try to move up positions.”

“It has been a difficult E-Pole, we knew it was going to be complicated and I didn’t manage to replicate the times of FP3. The important thing was to do a clean lap and as there are other riders who made mistakes, we will start in front of them. Tomorrow in the race I want to concentrate, get a good result and keep working. Thank you very much for the support.”

Los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama Racing han completado la E-Pole del Motul TT Assen, donde André Pires ha finalizado 15º. Xavi Cardelús saldrá desde atrás de la parrilla debido a una cancelación de su vuelta.

Pires ha cerrado su vuelta con un tiempo de 1:48.799. El piloto portugués ha podido mejorar sus sensaciones respecto a ayer y ha logrado una buena posición para luchar por los puntos en la carrera de mañana.

Por su parte, Xavi Cardelús arrancará la carrera 16º. El piloto andorrano se ha mostrado fuerte durante todo el fin de semana, pero desafortunadamente en su vuelta de la E-Pole ha sobrepasado los límites de la pista, por lo que su vuelta ha sido cancelada.

Mañana a las 15:30 se disputará la carrera del Motul TT Assen, la cuarta del calendario de la Copa del Mundo de MotoE.

“No ha sido un buen día para mí y es el primer error que cometo en una E-Pole. Me he ido largo en una curva y me he salido de la pista. Creo que hoy teníamos la oportunidad de conseguir una buena posición para mañana, ya que hemos sido rápidos y hay algunos pilotos de delante que también han cometido errores. Tengo que concentrarme para mañana, hacer una buena salida e intentar remontar posiciones.”

“Ha sido una E-Pole difícil, sabíamos que iba a ser complicada y no he conseguido replicar los tiempos del FP3. Lo importante era hacer una vuelta limpia y como hay otros pilotos que se han equivocado saldremos delante de ellos. Mañana en carrera quiero concentrarme, conseguir un buen resultado y seguir trabajando. Muchas gracias por el apoyo.”

The Avintia Esponsorama riders have completed their first laps on the Assen track after the first two free practice sessions of the Motul TT Assen with rain as the protagonist during the afternoon.

Xavi Cardelús ended the first day with a good feeling and was fast from the first free practice. The Andorran rider clocked a best time of 1:44.285 in the afternoon session, putting him in ninth position in the combined and close to the front riders.

André Pires was able to complete his first laps at Assen, a completely new circuit for him. The Portuguese rider has been working to improve and find the speed that will allow him to get closer to the rest of his riders. Pires set a time of 1:49.327.

Tomorrow in Assen there will be the third free practice and before the Dutch Grand Prix qualifying.

“First positive day, 9th position in the combined and we are not too far from the top 3. We will see if we can change some things tomorrow to find the speed we are missing, as we can be a bit quicker in a couple of parts of the circuit.”

“It was a good Friday and I’ve been working on the adaptation. The track is very fast and I have never felt so much speed on the MotoE. In FP2 the weather conditions were not the best due to the rain, but I was able to improve my time. Now I must work to keep improving and get closer to the rest of the riders. I feel comfortable with the bike and in this circuit. I’m going to give it my all.”

Los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama han sumado sus primeras vueltas en el trazado de Assen tras disputar los dos primeros entrenamientos libres del Motul TT Assen con la lluvia como protagonista durante la tarde.

Xavi Cardelús ha concluido la primera jornada con un buen ‘feeling’ y se ha mostrado rápido desde el primer entrenamiento libre. El andorrano ha logrado un mejor registro de 1:44.285 en la sesión de la tarde que le coloca en la 9ª posición en la combinada y cerca de los primeros clasificados.

André Pires ha podido completar sus primeros giros en Assen, un circuito completamente nuevo para él. El portugués ha trabajado para mejorar y encontrar la velocidad que le permita acercarse al resto de rivales. Pires ha marcado un tiempo de 1:49.327.

Mañana en Assen se disputará el tercer entrenamiento libre y posteriormente la clasificación del Gran Premio de los Países Bajos.

“Primer día positivo, 9ª posición en la combinada y no estamos demasiado lejos del Top 3. Veremos si mañana podemos cambiar algunas cosas para acabar de encontrar la velocidad que nos falta ya que en un par de partes del circuito podemos ser algo más rápidos.”

“Ha sido un buen viernes y me estoy adaptando. El circuito es muy rápido y nunca había sentido tanta velocidad encima de la MotoE. En el FP2 las condiciones meteorológicas no han sido las mejores debido a la lluvia, pero he podido mejorar mi tiempo. Ahora toca trabajar para seguir mejorando y acercarme al resto de pilotos. Me siento cómodo con la moto y en este circuito. Voy a darlo todo.”

Avintia Esponsorama lands this weekend to race the fourth round of the MotoE World Cup, the Motul TT Assen. It will be the first time that the electric category completes a weekend in ‘The Cathedral’.

Xavi Cardelús arrives in the Netherlands after an unlucky weekend in Barcelona. Despite this, the Andorran rider has been showing a great progression this season, being faster, stronger, and more comfortable on the Energica Ego Corsa.

“A new MotoE weekend and a new circuit for this category. We will see how we adapt and how fast we can be here. I’m happy to be back at Assen and it’s a circuit I think we can get a good result. I hope to have better luck as we are coming from three races without getting what we need as a team, I think we are working well and we deserve better results. We will work 100% and soon or later our reward will come.”

“I’m happy to be at Assen, it’s a circuit with a lot of history. I am very motivated, ready to work with the team and try to improve from the last race. It’s a new circuit for me, it’s going to be difficult, but we’ll fight until the end.”

El Avintia Esponsorama aterriza este fin de semana para disputar la cuarta ronda de la Copa del Mundo de MotoE, el Motul TT Assen. Será la primera vez que la categoría eléctrica complete un fin de semana en ‘La Catedral’.

André Pires se muestra expectante en un nuevo reto para él, con el objetivo principal de seguir acumulando vueltas y aprendizaje en la categoría. El piloto portugués se encuentra 15º en la clasificación general con 11 puntos.

Mañana a partir de las 11:50 dará comienzo el Motul TT Assen con los primeros entrenamientos libres de la categoría de MotoE.

“Un nuevo fin de semana de MotoE y un circuito nuevo para esta categoría. Veremos como nos adaptamos y cuan rápido podemos ser aquí. Estoy contento de volver a Assen y es un circuito creo que podemos conseguir un buen resultado. Espero tener mejor suerte ya que venimos de tres carreras sin conseguir lo que necesitamos como equipo, creo que estamos trabajando muy bien y merecemos mejores resultados. Trabajaremos al 100% y tarde o temprano acabará llegando nuestra recompensa.”

“Estoy contento de poder estar en Assen, es un circuito con mucha historia. Estoy muy motivado, preparado para trabajar con el equipo e intentar mejorar respecto a la última carrera. Es un circuito nuevo para mí, va a ser difícil, pero lucharemos hasta el final.”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing closed the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya after a difficult Sunday for Xavi Cardelús and with André Pires finishing in the points.

The Andorran rider, who had a good pace throughout the weekend, was confident of a good result. Unfortunately, Cardelús crashed out in the early stages of the race.

André Pires was able to cross the finish line in 13th position, finishing in the points zone for the third consecutive race.

The fourth round of the MotoE Cup calendar will take place in three weeks at the mythical Assen circuit.

“It was a shame and I’m very frustrated that I couldn’t complete the race and didn’t even have a chance to try. I’m going through a difficult time for me, and I’m convinced that it can’t get any worse. We’ll keep working to make it better for the next races.”

“I’m happy to have finished the race, but at the same time frustrated because I still can’t go fast. We are learning and trying to change what is going wrong. The important thing is to keep working to change things in the next races. We managed to score points, great work from the team who always help me.”
