Avintia Esponsorama Racing will race the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli this weekend. It will be the first of the season where two races will be held in the same Grand Prix, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

After making a great comeback last weekend, Eric Granado returns to Misano with the same objective: to continue closing the gap to the leader. The Brazilian rider will have a double opportunity to add up good results and ascend to the top of the classification.

El Avintia Esponsorama Racing disputará este fin de semana el Gran Premio de la Emilia Romagna en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Será la primera cita de la temporada donde en el mismo gran premio se disputarán dos carreras, una el sábado y otra el domingo.

Tras lograr una gran remontada el fin de semana pasado, Eric Granado vuelve a Misano con el mismo objetivo: seguir recortando puntos al líder. El piloto brasileño tendrá una doble oportunidad para sumar buenos resultados y así ascender a lo alto de la clasificación.

Por su parte, Xavi Cardelús quiere confirmar el gran paso adelante mostrado la semana pasada. El piloto andorrano, quien se muestra cada día más competitivo y cómodo encima de su Energica Ego Corsa, luchará este fin de semana por seguir sumando puntos importantes.

Será el viernes a partir de las 11:50 cuando el Avintia Esponsorama Racing volverá a la acción para disputar los primeros entrenamientos libres del Gran Premio de la Emilia Romagna.

“Muy motivado para este fin de semana de carreras, el pasado fin de semana lo teníamos todo para luchar por la victoria pero una penalización en la E-Pole no pudimos cumplir con el objetivo marcado al partir desde la última posición. Este Gran Premio intentaremos no equivocarnos y esperamos que sea un fin de semana perfecto.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Racing has completed the E-Pole of the San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli with Xavi Cardelús and Eric Granado in 13th and last position respectively.

After completing a very positive third practice in the morning finishing in second position, Eric Granado faced the third E-Pole of the season as one of the favorites. Tras un completar unos terceros entrenamientos muy positivos por la mañana finalizando en segunda posición, Eric Granado encaraba la tercera E-Pole de la temporada como uno de los favoritos. El piloto brasileño ha logrado el mejor tiempo de la sesión, pero tras pisar la zona verde en la salida de la curva 15, su registro ha sido anulado y arrancará la carrera de mañana desde última posición.

Por su parte, Xavi Cardelús ha conseguido dar un gran paso adelante durante los terceros entrenamientos. En la clasificación, el piloto andorrano ha conseguido cuadrar una buena vuelta sin cometer ningún error. Tras marcar un tiempo de 1’44.847 y quedarse a tan solo una décima del TOP-10, Cardelús partirá la carrera 13º.

“El fin de semana estaba yendo muy bien, me sentía cómodo con la moto y en todo el fin de semana no habíamos tocado la zona verde hasta el peor momento posible, la E-pole.”

“Muy contento con el paso que hemos dado, en la FP3 con los cambios que hemos hecho ya se ha notado una mejora con neumático usado. Ya sabíamos que con neumático nuevo iríamos mucho mejor, muy contento con el trabajo realizado por el equipo, creo que hemos conseguido una moto competitiva para mañana con la que me siento muy a gusto.”

Durante la primera sesión, ambos pilotos han logrado acumular un gran número de vueltas para así trabajar en la puesta a punto para el fin de semana. Eric Granado, que ha concluido en cuarta posición, ha marcado un tiempo de 1’45.050. Por su parte, Xavi Cardelús ha finalizado 15º, con un mejor registro de 1’47.058.

Eric Granado ha sido el dominador de la segunda sesión. El piloto brasileño ha logrado mejorar un segundo y una décima su registro matinal y ha parado el cronómetro en 1’43.990. Cardelús ha dado un salto adelante significativo, mejorando su tiempo de la primera sesión por un segundo y medio. Un tiempo de 1’45.735 le ha permitido concluir 16º.

Mañana se disputarán los tereceros entrenamientos libres y la E-Pole, donde el Avintia Esponsorama Racing luchará por obtener la mejor posición de salida posible para la carrera del domingo.

“Muy contento con el día de hoy, hemos trabajado con calma en el primer entreno para conocer el asfalto nuevo y como se comportaba la moto. Tenemos una buena base del año pasado, me sentía muy cómodo en la moto, y estoy muy contento con el trabajo de esta tarde. Ahora hay que trabajar para ver que nos falta para mejorar de cara a mañana e intentar conseguir una buena posición de salida que será importantísimo para la carrera del domingo.”

“Primer día terminado, nos hemos tomado la FP1 para volver a coger sensaciones con la moto y con el circuito. En la FP2 hemos modificado pequeñas cosas en la moto para ayudarnos a mejorar. Ahora toca mirar como mejorar para mañana de cara a la sesión clasificatoria.”

“Listo para volver a subirme a la MotoE, ya que este último mes he estado en Brasil preparándome al máximo para correr aquí con el calor. Estoy muy contento de volver, después de las dos carreras de Jerez estoy en un buen momento, me siento fuerte, me siento rápido, y estoy seguro de que este fin de semana va a ser positivo para nosotros.
