The Avintia Esponsorama Racing Team has finished the Grand Prix of Andalusia. Xavi Cardelús achieved a magnificent 10th position after a full weekend for the Andorran rider and Eric Granado finished 13th after being challenged by an opponent with two laps to go.

The Brazilian rider, who set the fourth best time in the e-Pole, had a bad start that cost him three places. Granado has started a great comeback that he has not managed to finish. With three laps to go, the driver from Sao Paulo has managed to move up to the second position and in the attempt to catch up with the leader, Matteo Ferrari has ruined his career after running him over in turn 6. Despite the bad conditions of his Energica Ego Corsa after the strong crash, Eric Granado has managed to finish the race adding three points.

In his second race in the category, Xavi Cardelús has finished in the points section for the second time in a row after his 14th position in the Spanish Grand Prix. The Andorran rider, after completing a race with a steady pace, has added six more points to his tally thanks to crossing the finish line within the ‘top-10’.

On September 13th, the MotoE World Cup will return to action at the Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Happy with my first two MotoE races, although the difference last Sunday has cost me more in the race, it has been harder to follow the riders ahead and keep up with me. But happy for the weekend overall and looking forward to the next race”

“The start was quite bad, I lost a lot of positions in the first corner. Then in turn 6 I made a small mistake that made me lose positions, but the good feeling I had with the bike allowed me to climb positions, overtaking cleanly. I got to second, I don’t know if I could catch up with Aegerter or not, but after the start we had a second position and it was very good. It’s a pity that I had a bad race, I tried to be as clean and sporty as possible. But it seems that other drivers didn’t think like me, and that’s how it was. I didn’t see the launch, I don’t know how it happened but we were left with the good race I had and prepared for the next one”.

El Avintia Esponsorama Racing Team ha finalizado el Gran Premio de Andalucía. Xavi Cardelús ha logrado una magnífica 10ª posición tras un fin de semana completo para el andorrano y Eric Granado ha concluido 13º tras ser embestido por un rival a falta de dos vueltas.

El piloto brasileño, que logró el cuarto mejor tiempo en la e-Pole, ha tenido una mala salida que le ha hecho perder tres plazas. Granado ha iniciado una gran remontada que no ha conseguido culminar. A falta de tres vueltas para el final, el piloto de San Paulo ha logrado ascender a la segunda posición y en el intento de alcanzar al líder, Matteo Ferrari ha arruinado su carrera tras arrollarle en la curva 6. Pese a las malas condiciones de su Energica Ego Corsa tras la fuerte caída, Eric Granado ha logrado terminar la carrera sumando tres puntos.

En su segunda carrera en la categoría, Xavi Cardelús ha finalizado en zona de puntos de segunda forma consecutiva tras la 14ª posición lograda en el Gran Premio de España. El piloto andorrano, tras completar una carrera con un ritmo constante, ha sumado seis puntos más en su casillero gracias a cruzar la línea de meta dentro del ‘top-10’.

Será el 13 de septiembre, cuando la Copa del Mundo de MotoE volverá a la acción en el Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini en el Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

“Completado el segundo fin de semana en Jerez con una décima posición. Contento de mis dos primeras carreras de MotoE aunque ha diferencia del pasado domingo hoy me ha costado más en carrera, ha sido más difícil seguir a los pilotos de delante y mantener mi ritmo. Pero contento por el fin de semana en general y con ganas de la siguiente carrera”

“La salida ha sido bastante mala, perdí muchas posiciones en las primera curva. Luego en la curva 6 cometí un pequeño error que me hizo perder posiciones, pero las buenas sensaciones que tenía con la moto me permitía ir escalando posiciones, adelantando limpiamente. Llegue a estar segundo, no se si podría alcanzar a Aegerter o no, pero después de la salida que habíamos tenido una segunda posición estaba muy bien. Una pena que me hayan fastidiado la carrera, yo he intentado ser limpio y deportivo en lo máximo posible. Pero parece que otros pilotos no han pensado como yo, y así ha sido. No he visto el lance, no sé cómo ha pasado pero nos quedamos con la buena carrera que he tenido y preparados para la próxima”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing faces a new week of racing after the successful Spanish Grand Prix. With no time to rest, the MotoE World Cup will take place this weekend for the second consecutive race of the season at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit, where the Gran Premio de Andalucía will be held.

El Avintia Esponsorama Racing afronta una nueva semana de carreras tras el exitoso Gran Premio de España. Sin tiempo para descansar, la Copa del Mundo de MotoE disputará este fin de semana la que será la segunda carrera consecutiva de la temporada en el Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto, donde se celebrará el Gran Premio de Andalucía.

Eric Granado, dominador absoluto de la primera cita de la temporada, encara como líder de la categoría el segundo fin de semana de competición. El brasileño, que logró de forma contundente la victoria en la carrera inaugural del campeonato, llega como favorito al trazado jerezano.

Por su parte, Xavi Cardelús, que completó el primer fin de semana en una categoría completamente nueva para él, llega al Gran Premio de Andalucía con un punto más de experiencia, entendiendo mejor la Energica Ego Corsa y conociendo cada vez más el nuevo formato de competición que ofrece la categoría.

Será este viernes cuando los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama Racing disputen los primeros entrenamientos libres para dar comienzo un Gran Premio de Andalucía el cuál todo el equipo afronta con expectativas muy altas tras el triunfal inicio del campeonato.

“El fin de semana se presenta muy bien, estoy muy motivado y contento después del gran trabajo que hicimos en la primera carrera del año. No veo el momento de volver a pista para continuar trabajando con el equipo. Este fin de semana, aunque sea el mismo circuito, empezamos desde cero, trabajando con mucha concentración y centrándonos en mejorar en los puntos en los que nos falta. Desde el viernes intentaremos preparar la moto lo mejor posible de cara a la carrera del domingo que es lo importante.”

“Afrontamos la segunda carrera del campeonato con muchísimas ganas ya que hemos ido haciendo buenos pasos durante el primer fin de semana y nos quedamos con ganas de hacerlo mejor. Estoy seguro que daremos un gran paso y estaremos en posiciones más delanteras.”

“Very happy, we had a perfect weekend. We had a very good rhythm during all the training sessions and I really felt very comfortable with the bike. At the start my bike got a little bit higher with the first touch of gas and I lost a little bit of time, but I’m happy because then I was able to pass Tulovic and open up an advantage that I was able to control until the end of the race. I’m very happy, now it’s time to think with the team what we can do to be even stronger next week and maintain the good level we had in this one.”

“It’s been a tough weekend and ending it this way is not the best, but what doesn’t knock you down makes you stronger. I take the positive side of this weekend, in the Warm-Up we have had very good feelings, very good pace to be fighting in the race so now to think about next Friday, try to start very concentrated and go for the next one”.

El piloto brasileño del Avintia Esponsorama Racing ha arrancado la Copa del Mundo de MotoE como acabó la pasada temporada. Granado, claro dominador durante todo el fin de semana, se ha impuesto con contundencia frente a sus rivales en el Gran Premio de España. Xavi Cardelús ha cruzado la línea de meta en 14ª posición.

Pese a perder la primera posición en la salida al levantarse la rueda delantera de su Energica Ego Corsa, Eric Granado no ha dado ninguna opción durante toda la prueba. Cuatro curvas ha necesitado el brasileño para recuperar el liderato de la carrera y finalizar a más de tres segundos de distancia respecto al segundo clasificado. De esta manera, Granado se coloca primero en la clasificación general de 2020.

Por su parte, Xavi Cardelús ha completado su primer fin de semana en la categoría de MotoE. El piloto andorrano ha perdido cuatro posiciones en los primeros instantes, pero poco a poco ha podido superar a algunos de sus rivales, lo que le ha permitido finalizar la carrera en 14ª posición. Sin duda alguna, un resultado muy positivo para Cardelús tras mostrar una gran progresión durante todo el fin de semana, siendo su primera carrera y teniéndose que adaptar a una categoría totalmente nueva para él.

El Avintia Esponsorama Racing da por finalizado el Gran Premio de España con un comienzo de mundial muy positivo. Pese a ello, no hay tiempo para descansar. El próximo fin de semana se celebrará en el mismo Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto la segunda prueba de la Copa del Mundo de MotoE: el Gran Premio de Andalucía.

“Muy contento, hemos hecho un fin de semana perfecto. Hemos tenido un ritmo muy bueno durante todos los entrenos y la verdad que me he sentido muy cómodo con la moto. En la salida se me ha levantado un poco la moto con el primer toque de gas y he perdido un poco de tiempo, pero estoy contento porque luego pude pasar a Tulovic y abrir una ventaja que he podido controlar hasta final de carrera. Estoy muy contento, ahora es momento de pensar con el equipo en que podemos hacer para estar aún más fuertes la semana que viene y mantener el buen nivel que hemos tenido en éste.”

“Ya finalizada mi primera carrera de MotoE aunque no ha ido como me imaginaba después del día de ayer, se que hubiese podido hacerlo mejor. Destacar la mala salida que he realizado, ya que De Angelis ha hecho un Jump Start y justo en ese momento se me ha ido la vista hacia él, aquí he perdido unas 3 décimas y eso me ha penalizado mucho. De cara a carera tengo que trabajar más la confianza a la hora de adelantar ya que con esta moto no es fácil. Lo positivo es que me he sentido mucho más cómodo con la moto, lo que ha hecho que pueda ir mucho más rápido que los días anteriores, llegando a molestarme los pilotos que tenia delante. En general, la valoración de este fin de semana es positiva porque hemos ido evolucionando, aún sabiendo que podría haberlo hecho algo mejor. La semana que vienes es la segunda carrera y estoy seguro de que daremos un gran paso.”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing has started work on the 2020 MotoE World Cup with three very productive and valuable test days at the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto.

Eric Granado, winner of the last two races of last season’s Valencia Grand Prix and the main candidate to fight for the title in 2020, was able to get the best time in the first two days. After running a total of 68 laps and totalling almost 300km, the Rio de Janeiro native finished second in the combined standings after the three days with a time of 1:47.546, just 0.052 seconds behind the leader.

The Andorran rider, new incorporation to Avintia Esponsorama Racing for this coming season, accumulated his first kilometres on the electric bike, a total of 325 after completing 74 laps of the Andalusian track. After the three days, Cardelús obtained the 14th position in the combined with a time of 1:48.749, 1.255 seconds from the first classified.

Thanks to all the data obtained during the test, Avintia Esponsorama Racing will continue to work hard to be as prepared as possible for the next test, which will take place on April 8th, 9th and 10th at the same circuit in Jerez, before the first round of the MotoE calendar, the Spanish Grand Prix.

“The test has been very positive, in the end we managed to finish second, we were fast throughout the days and we were able to try out many things that we wanted. I still need a little bit from my side, also a little bit from the bike to evolve, especially the rear end because I still lack a little bit of feeling, I have a hard time in the corners with a lot of acceleration because the bike has a movement that bothers me. But it’s a question of working, the team is giving its best as always and we have another test to improve this point and find the solution before the first race.”

“Finally, happy with the first contact with the bike. Three days of very positive testing because the adaptation has been fast and the important thing is that in each session, I have been making progress, and I think that is the most important thing. There is still some work to be done, but I think we leave with the work done which was to make a 1:48 to finish close in classification. Happy and grateful to the team.”

 

El Avintia Esponsorama Racing ha empezado a trabajar en la Copa del Mundo de MotoE para 2020 con tres días de test muy productivos y valiosos en el Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto.

Eric Granado, ganador de las dos últimas carreras de la pasada temporada en el Gran Premio de Valencia y principal candidato a luchar por el título en 2020, fue capaz de obtener el mejor registro en los dos primeros días. Tras rodar un total de 68 vueltas y sumar casi 300km, el carioca ha concluido 2º en la clasificación combinada tras las tres jornadas con un tiempo de 1:47.546, a tan solo 0.052 segundos del líder.

Por su parte, Xavi Cardelús, ha podido tener su primera toma de contacto con la Energica Ego Corsa MotoE. El piloto andorrano, nueva incorporación del Avintia Esponsorama Racing para esta próxima temporada, ha acumulado sus primeros kilómetros encima de la moto eléctrica, un total de 325 tras completar 74 vueltas al trazado andaluz. Gracias a todos los datos obtenidos durante el test, el Avintia Esponsorama Racing seguirá trabajando duro para llegar lo más preparado posible al siguiente test que se llevará a cabo durante el 8, 9 y 10 de abril en el mismo circuito de Jerez, antes de encarar la primera cita del calendario de MotoE, el Gran Premio de España.

“El test ha sido muy positivo, al final hemos conseguido acabar segundos, hemos sido rápidos durante todos los días y hemos podido probar muchas cosas que queríamos. Aún me falta un poco de mi parte, también un poco por parte de la moto por evolucionar, sobre todo el tren trasero ya que aún me falta un poco de ‘feeling’, me cuesta en las curvas con mucha aceleración porque la moto tiene un movimiento que me molesta. Pero es cuestión de trabajar, el equipo está dando el máximo como siempre y tenemos otro test por mejorar este punto y encontrar la solución antes de la primera carrera.”

“Finalmente contento con la primera toma de contacto con la moto. Tres días de test muy positivos porque la adaptación ha sido rápida y lo importante es que en cada sesión he ido progresando, y yo creo que es lo más importante y a destacar. Aún falta alguna cosa por pulir, pero creo que nos vamos con el trabajo hecho que era hacer un 1:48 para acabar cerca en la clasificación. Contento y dar gracias al equipo.”
