LUCA MARINI FINISHES IN 16TH POSITION, BASTIANINI SUFFERS A FALL WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES

Jerez (Spain) May 2, 2021 – Ends the GP Red Bull of Spain  with a positive balance for the riders of Team Avintia Esponsorama Racing. Although a fall without consequences, Bastianini has had a good pace with very good feeling since the start of the race, unfortunately the Italian this time has not been able to get any point. Luca Marini has finished in 16th position with gradual progress in the race that has allowed him to continue to gain experience.

“I made a mistake at the start: in the rush to recover, I went straight in braking on several occasions, and I lost a lot of seconds from the strongest guys. After the first 7 laps I started to ride better, I made the steps forward I had seen in the data and I did a very good second half of the race. The result is not positive, the points were so close and the gap from the very first riders was not bad at all. We are putting together many pieces; I have made progress on the use of the gas and the management of the rear tire. There are still many aspects to work on, but I’m happy because Jerez is not an easy track for the Ducati GP19 while the new one is really fast. I was behind Tito (Rabat) and the bike was very very fast. Congratulations to Dall’Igna and all the Ducati engineers because they have done a great job, Jerez is notoriously a track for other manufacture”.

“I’ve made a bad start, with some problems. I had the pace and good feelings with the brake, after 4 or 5 laps I overtake to Marquez, but I went outside and it has pass me again, behind him I make a time of 38.4, 38.5 so I think little by little I could have improved. It was a shame the fall on Turn 2, I’m sure I could have made a good race. I keep the positive, we’ve been competitive. This morning the feeling with the bike was much better, tomorrow in the tests we will try new solutions.”

Jerez (España) 2 de mayo 2021 – Finaliza el GP Red Bull de España con un balance positivo para los pilotos del Equipo Avintia Esponsorama Racing. A pesar de una caída sin consecuencias, Bastianini ha tenido un buen ritmo con sensaciones muy buenas desde el inicio de carrera lamentablemente el italiano esta vez no ha podido puntuar. Luca Marini ha finalizado en décimo sexta posición con un progreso gradual en carrera que le ha permitido seguir adquiriendo experiencia.

“He cometido una equivocación en la salida: con tantas ganas de recuperar me he pasado de frenada en más de una ocasión y he perdido mucho tiempo. después de las primeras 7 vueltas he comenzado a pilotar bien, avanzando con las correcciones que había visto en los datos e realizado una segunda mitad de carrera muy buena. El resultado no me ilusiona, estaba muy cerca de los puntos y la distancia de los primeros no ha sido mucha. Estamos progresando en la sensibilidad del uso del gas y del neumático trasero. Todavía tenemos muchos aspectos en los que trabajar, pero estoy muy contento ya que Jerez no es una pista fácil para la Ducati GP19 mientras la nueva es muy veloz. He realizado parte de la carrera detrás de Rabat y la moto rodaba fortísimo. Felicidades a Dall´Igna y a todos los ingenieros por el gran trabajo que han realizado, es obvio que Jerez es una pista más favorable para otros constructores”.

“He realizado una salida mala con algunos problemas. Tenia el ritmo y conseguía frenar fuerte, después de 4 o 5 vueltas he pasado a Marquez, pero me he ido fuera y me ha vuelto a adelantar, detrás de el he marcado 38.4, 38.5 por lo que creo que poco a poco hubiera podido ir mejorando. Ha sido una lástima la caída en la curva 2, estoy seguro de que podía haber hecho una buena carrera. Me quedo con la parte positiva, hemos sido competitivos con respecto a los entrenamientos del viernes y sábado. Esta mañana el feeling con la moto era mucho mejor, mañana en los test intentaremos probar soluciones nuevas”.

COMPLICATED DAY IN THE CLASSIFICATION SECTION FOR AVINTIA ESPONSORAMA RACING TEAM RIDERS

Jerez (Spain) May 1, 2021 – The demanding track of the Jerez circuit has not been favourable for Avintia Esponsorama Racing Team riders. The adaptation to the Ducati in the MotoGP category continues growing up with positive sensations. After the qualifying day Enea Bastianini will be tomorrow 15th with a time of 1’37,675.  Luca Marini with 1´37.925 gets the 18 º position tomorrow on the grid.

“It’s been a difficult day. With the new tyre I feel much better than the used something different to other circuits, I must understand the reason. I have a lot of movement on the bike, and I can’t turn the bike well. Tomorrow, we will analyse the data of other Ducati riders who have made good times to confront them with mine. I can’t be entirely satisfied with my result.”

“A complicated qualifying, compared to the free practices there was more wind and I have struggled a bit. I am not satisfied with the result: I set my best time with an used rear tire of three laps and a front one of seven, not the most optimal conditions. A shame, there was a lot of traffic on the track and maybe I was more penalized than others. The feeling with the bike is quite ok and we can make a step forward in turning. We have already decided the tires for the race, and we are happy about our choice. Tomorrow it will be important to have a great start and push at 100% in the first laps”.

JORNADA COMPLICADA EN LA SECCION DE CLASIFICACION PARA LOS PILOTOS DEL AVINTIA ESPONSORAMA RACING TEAM

Jerez (España) 1 de mayo 2021 – El exigente trazado del circuito de Jerez, no ha sido del todo favorable para los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama Racing Team. Su adaptación a la Ducati en la categoría reina sigue avanzando con sensaciones positivas . Finalizada la jornada de clasificación Enea Bastianini saldrá en 15º posición con un tiempo de 1´37.675, Luca Marini con 1´37.925 consigue la 18 º posición.

“Ha sido un día difícil. Con el neumático nuevo me encuentro mucho mejor que con el usado algo totalmente contrario a otros circuitos, tengo que entender el motivo. Tengo mucho movimiento en la moto con el que sufro bastante y no puedo girar bien. Para mañana, analizaremos también los datos de otros pilotos Ducati que han hecho buenos tiempos para confrontarlos con los míos. No puedo estar del todo satisfecho con mi resultado”.

“Ha sido una clasificación muy complicada, respeto a los entrenamientos hacia más viento y me ha costado más. No estoy satisfecho con el resultado: He realizado mi mejor tiempo con un neumático usado con tres vueltas detrás y siete delante, no son las condiciones más favorables. Había mucho tráfico en pista, nos hemos molestado y yo he sido el más perjudicado. El feeling con la moto es discreto podemos hacer un step más para hacer girar mejor la moto. Ya hemos decidido los neumáticos para la carrera de mañana y estamos seguros de la elección. Mañana será muy importante salir bien y rápido desde el inicio”.

FIRST DAY OF FREE PRACTICE FOR THE MOTOGP CATEGORY AT THE GP RED BULL OF SPAIN

Jerez (Spain) April 30, 2021 – Ends the first day of free practice at the Jerez circuit. The demands of this track today have proved evident to the riders of the Avintia Esponsorama Racing Team. Luca Marini has completed 17 laps getting 15th place with a time of 1’38,274. Enea Bastianini with a time of 1´38.516 will be 18th after completing 19 laps.

“The Jerez track with MotoGP is really tough: all the turns are so close practically you can’t breathe. However, it is always a beautiful track. I am happy with the work done today, so many positive feelings. We have continued to work on the position on the bike and made a good step forward. Also, on the set up we changed something compared to Qatar and Portimao, we can still do a little bit on the rear to be perfect, but I’m happy. On the tire choice, we need to understand exactly what to do with the front for the qualifying and then decide between medium or hard on the rear for the race even if at the moment I’m not able to completely exclude the soft. PRIMERA JORNADA DE ENTRENAMIENTOS LIBRES PARA LA CATEGORIA DE MOTOGP EN EL GP RED BULL DE ESPAÑA

Jerez (España) 30 de abril 2021 – Finaliza la primera jornada de entrenamientos libres en el circuito de Jerez. Las exigencias de esta pista hoy han resultado patentes para los pilotos del Avintia Esponsorama Racing Team. Luca Marini ha completado 17 vueltas consiguiendo la 15º posición con un tiempo de 1´38.274. Enea Bastianini con un total de 19 vueltas ha finalizado 18º marcando un tiempo de 1´38.516.

“El circuito de Jerez con la MotoGP es complicado: es muy estrecho con las curvas muy cercanas, no da tiempo a respirar. Aun así, es fascinante. Estoy muy contento del trabajo que hemos realizado y tengo sensaciones muy positivas. Nos hemos concentrado en la posición de la moto y hemos avanzado bastante. En el set up también hemos realizado cambios con respecto a Qatar y Portimao, en la parte posterior todavía creo que podemos mejorar. En cuanto a la elección de neumáticos todavía tenemos que entender como gestionar el delantero para la clasificación, y después decidir entre medio y duro para la parte posterior en carrera, aunque no descarto del todo el blando. Después de la primera jornada estoy a 1 segundo de Bagnaia, creo que para ser la primera vez aquí no esta nada mal”.

“No estoy muy contento, esperaba un resultado mejor. Esta mañana me encontraba con un buen ritmo y sin embargo en los entrenamientos de la tarde hemos empeorado. Mañana necesito dar un paso más para estar mejor situados. Mi punto fuerte es la frenada, pero no siento confianza con la parte trasera. Jerez es una pista que no deja bajar la guardia, espero mañana seguir progresando”.

Jerez (Spain) April 27, 2021 – The Angel Nieto Circuit of Jerez will be the track for the fourth round of the season for the Avintia Esponsorama Racing team riders. This unique and emblematic track is characterized by its 4,423 km in length, with eight right and five left corners, it is a technical circuit that all the riders know perfectly well. Enea Bastianini arrives, with a ninth position in the general classification with 18 points. Luca Marini, eighteenth with 4 points continues to improve positively.

“Jerez es un trazado que me gusta muchísimo. Aquí todos somos muy rápidos por lo que será aún más difícil estar delante. Nuestro punto débil es conseguir un buen tiempo en la qualifying, mi objetivo es trabajar para alcanzarlo. Estoy muy contento con el trabajo que realizamos en Portimao, comenzamos un poco retrasados, pero al final conseguimos ser competitivos en carrera. “Llegamos a Jerez después de un buen fin de semana en Portimao. Comenzamos con circuitos europeos históricos que todos los pilotos conocemos muy bien de nuestra trayectoria en categorías inferiores. Siento mucha curiosidad por rodar en este trazado con la MotoGP: respecto a Portugal y Qatar, es más estrecho y corto por lo que será más difícil alcanzar el ritmo. Comenzaremos con el trabajo realizado en Portimao, para intentar conseguir lo más rápido posible las sensaciones positivas que tenía allí y de esta manera conseguir los mejores resultados en carrera”.

“Jerez es una pista mítica donde todos tenemos muy buenos recuerdos. Hemos demostrado que somos competitivos en carrera, pero en esta categoría es fundamental estar delante desde el principio. SEGUNDA JORNADA DE ENTRENAMIENTOS LIBRES Y CLASIFICACIÓN DEL GRAN PREMIO TISSOT DE DOHA . MARINI CONSIGUE LA 13ª POSICION MIENTRAS  BASTIANINI SALDRÁ 19º

Doha (Qatar) 3 de Abril 2021 – La segunda jornada del GP Tissot de Doha ha sido muy positiva para Luca Marini, por tan solo 8 milésimas no ha podido pasar a la Q2 consiguiendo una merecidísima 13º posición, que lo coloca en quinta línea en la parrilla de salida con un tiempo de 1,54.228. Enea Bastiani ha tenido problemas en la sección clasificatoria con el cambio de su moto, esto le ha impedido mejorar su tiempo finalizando en 19º posición.

“Ha sido una sección clasificatoria en la que me he divertido mucho, habíamos probado una modificación en la FP4 para sentirme más cómodo y con más confianza con la parte delantera de la moto, pero no ha ido bien y hemos vuelto a mi moto estándar la cual hemos utilizado todo el fin de semana, ha sido una decisión acertada porque me he sentido muy bien, aunque no haya podido conseguir hacer una vuelta perfecta, esto me ha impedido pasar en la Q2. Hemos dado un paso más con respecto al fin de semana pasado por lo que estoy muy contento “.

“Lamentablemente hoy hemos tenido bastantes problemas, ¡no nos lo merecíamos! Hay que aceptarlo, mañana espero poder realizar una buena salida y conseguir una buena carrera. Mi ritmo es bueno, este fin de semana me ha costado más que el pasado. Tenemos que entender cual es el origen del problema, contra la mala suerte no se puede hacer nada. Mañana saldré con fuerza para intentar conseguir un buen resultado”.

PRIMERA JORNADA DE ENTRENAMIENTOS DEL GP 888 DE PORTUGAL PARA LOS PILOTOS DEL AVINTIA ESPONSORAMA RACING TEAM MOTOGP

Portimao (Portugal) 16 de abril 2021 – Comienza el GP 888 de Portugal con la primera jornada de entrenamientos en el circuito de Portimao . Aquí, Enea Bastianini se proclamó campeón del mundo de Moto2 en la pasada temporada, convirtiéndose en uno de los días más importantes de su vida, hoy recuerda el trazado esta vez a los mandos de la Ducati con sensaciones totalmente diferentes en un circuito muy técnico y complejo. En la jornada de hoy ha marcado su mejor tiempo en 1:41,836. Luca Marini subcampeón en la misma categoría, continúa trabajando en los aspectos técnicos de su moto progresando cada día más, hoy en su primera toma de contacto ha marcado su mejor tiempo en 1:40,761.

“Ha sido un día en el que no hemos sido muy rápidos, hemos mejorado de la FP1 a la FP2 . Mañana tendremos que esforzarnos mucho. He tenido problemas con el freno delantero ya que la moto se movía mucho, aun así, creo que si lo resolvemos estamos a tiempo de hacer un buen tiempo mañana. Esta pista es muy técnica, lamentablemente no he podido tener una referencia, no he podido seguir a ninguno y esto aquí es importante”.      

#10 LUCA MARINI (SKY VR46 AVINTIA TEAM) – 1:40,761 – 13º

“Estoy muy contento:  Me he divertido mucho, el circuito me gusta mucho y con la moto me siento muy bien. Hemos ido muy fuerte, hemos hecho un gran trabajo entre la FP1 y la FP2 aunque con respecto a las otras Ducati me falta algo en frenada. En el pilotaje también puedo progresar en 2/3 puntos para estar listo y hacer un buen time attack al final de la clasificatoria. Sera muy importante la FP4 para la elección de los neumáticos en carrera: hoy hemos usado tanto media como blanda y tenemos que entender la duración de los neumáticos en el long run “.
