“Estoy muy contento por este octavo puesto en la clasificación y muy satisfecho del trabajo que estoy haciendo con el equipo. El avance es positivo: estoy más cómodo con el pilotaje, hemos realizado un buen step que mantendremos en las próximas carreras para intentar divertirme aún más y poder pilotar mejor. En la FP4 he tenido un buen ritmo, ha sido una lástima la caída. Seguiré trabajando para aprovechar mejor el warm up “.

#23 ENEA BASTIANINI – 16º

“Hoy hemos mejorado con respecto ayer, evidentemente no ha sido suficiente para pasar a la Q2 . No estoy al 100% en esta pista, podíamos haber mejorado pero no ha sido posible, me cuesta mucho gestionar las frenadas. Para mañana analizaremos los datos e intentare avanzar en el warm up. Hemos realizado pequeñas modificaciones que espero vayan bien”.

FINALIZA EL GP TISSOT DE DOHA CON AVANCES MUY POSITIVOS PARA EL EQUIPO AVINTIA ESPONSORAMA RACING: BASTIANINI REMONTA HASTA LA 11º POSICION MIENTRAS MARINI FINALIZA 18º

#10 LUCA MARINI (SKY VR46 AVINTIA TEAM) – 18º

“Esperaba más de la carrera de hoy , tenia un buen ritmo pero después de 10 vueltas he comenzado a luchar con el neumático delantero . Las condiciones han empezado a ser más y más difíciles hasta que han faltado 6 vueltas y no he podido seguir empujando a derechas. Este es el problema que he tenido esta mañana en el warm up en mitad de la curva. Necesitamos trabajar en este aspecto ya que afecta el resultado de la carrera. Ha sido una lástima”.

#23 ENEA BASTIANINI – 9º

 #10 LUCA MARINI (SKY VR46 AVINTIA TEAM) – 12º

I´m headed to Jerez convinced of our potential and knowing that we can be in the first positions.”

 #10 LUCA MARINI (SKY VR46 AVINTIA TEAM) – 12th

“I’m not happy with today’s race and the pace: I was half a second slower than what we have shown in the free practices and we need to analyse the data to understand the race. A positive pace since Friday but something happened today . Overall, I am happy, a growing weekend where we have worked well with the whole Team. I am angry about the race, we need to fix these things because in Qatar too we have struggled more in the long run than in the practices”.

“I am really very happy with this top 8 place in Q2 and satisfied with the work I am doing with the Team. I am more comfortable on the bike and we have made a great step forward that we will take from here are to the next races. In the FP4 I kept a good pace, we are close to the fastest guys. It´s a pity the crash but we will continue to work to make the most of the warm up”.

#23 ENEA BASTIANINI – 16th

“Today we improved with respect to yesterday, obviously it has not been enough to move on to Q2. I’m not 100% on this track, we could have improved but was not possible. For me, it is difficult managing the braking. For tomorrow we’ll analyse the data and try to make a step forward on the warm up. We have made small modifications that I hope will go well.”

FIRST DAY OF TEST FOR THE AVINTIA ESPONSORAMA RACING TEAM MOTOGP RIDERS IN THE MOTOGP 888 OF PORTUGAL.

Portimao (Portugal) April 16, 2021 – Portugal’s GP 888 begins with the first day of test at the Portimao circuit. Here, Enea Bastianini was proclaimed Moto2 World Champion last season, becoming one of the most important days of his life. Enea remembers again the track with totally different sensations on his new Ducati in a very technical track. Today he has done his best time at 1:41,836. Luca Marini who was second in the World Championship in the same category, continues to work on the technical aspects of his bike progressing more and more every day, today in his first contact he has achieved his best time at 1:40,761.

#23 ENEA BASTIANINI – 1:41,836 – 20º

“Today has been a difficult day, we improved the lap time from FP1 to FP2. Tomorrow we need to try to push very hard. I’ve had problems with the front part set-up as the bike was moving a lot, I think we can resolve the problem to be in time to make a good lap time tomorrow. This track is very technical, unfortunately I have not been able to have a reference, it was not possible to follow any rider and here this is important”.

#10 LUCA MARINI (SKY VR46 AVINTIA TEAM) – 1:40,761 – 13º

“I’m very happy: I really enjoyed this session; I like the track and I felt good on the bike too. We were fast, we did a great job between the FP1 and the FP2 even if, compared to the other Ducati, we are losing something in braking. I can make a step forward on my riding style in 2/3 points to be ready for my flying lap in qualifying. The FP4 will be very important to choose the tire for the race: today we used both medium and soft and we need to understand how the compound will work on the long run”.

THE RIDERS OF THE AVINTIA ESPONSORAMA TEAM WAITING THE FIRST EUROPEAN GRAND PRIX ON THE PORTIMAO CIRCUIT.

Portimao (Portugal) April 13, 2021 – Avintia Esponsorama Racing riders await the third round of the season with the good results achieved in Qatar. The first European Grand Prix of the 2021 season will be held at the Portimao circuit on 17 and 18 April. This circuit has a length of 4,692m with 10 right and 8 left curves that will be a challenge for the pilots of the queen category.

#23 ENEA BASTIANINI

” Portimao is a very funny track, I have very good memories of last year. It will be something new as so far we have only race in Qatar. I am very excited about the change of track. We need to stay focused to be fast and improve, although I think this weekend will be more complicated than the previous ones. We will see how is my adaptation to this track with the Ducati”.

# 10 LUCA MARINI

“It will be an interesting weekend: for the first time I will ride the Ducati on a track different than Qatar. We will try to give our best and check the gap from the very first guys after the FP. We will start from the Losail standard bike for making another step forward in turning and on the front. Then I have to learn the new lines, trajectories and braking points as soon as I can. We need to work on the tires too because, compared to Qatar, the choice here will be less obvious between hard, soft, and medium. I really like the track and I’m curious to see what will happen”.

RUBEN XAUS – SPORT DIRECTOR

“We are happy to be back  in Europe: We feel more organized in Europe races. The best situation to optimize the working schedule too. Luca comes from two races where he did not collect points, but he has crossed the finishing line and has shown is potential. Enea arrive with a 10º and 11º place achieved in the races of Qatar, this gives us a lot of power. I think we can do very good on the Portimao track, here the Ducati are very competitive. We need to continue to work on the data for being competitive, correct some details to be there with the group of the top riders and make a step at the start and in the battle of the first 5 laps. We can hit the points and get closer to the Top10.

#23 ENEA BASTIANINI – 11th

“We have made a great race; I am very happy. I’m go up, even if I would have liked to be on grid much better, I am sure that I could have fought with the first ones. Unfortunately 6 or 7 laps from the end ,my hair and sweat did not let me have good visibility and don’t let me to stay focused, again obstacle and bad luck! We have improve more than last weekend so I’m very satisfied.”

# 10 LUCA MARINI – 18th

“ I was expected more from today´s race: I had a good pace, but after ten laps I started to struggled with the front tire. The condition became more and more tough until 6 laps to go when I could no longer push to the right. It is a problem that I had this morning in the warm up in the middle of the corner and we need to work on this aspect that strongly affected the result of the race. A real pity.”

#10 LUCA MARINI (SKY VR46 AVINTIA TEAM) – 1,54.228 – 13º

“A good qualifying: I am satisfied with how it went today , I had a lot of fun! In the FP4 we have tried a change for the race, to try to fix the felling on the front , but I didn´t have the desired feelings . We went back to the standard bike and it was the right choice. I felt good, I did some good laps, not a perfect one and that cost me the access to the Q2 . We have made a good step forward compared to last weekend and I’m happy “.

#23 ENEA BASTIANINI – 1,54,632 – 19th

“Unfortunately, today we had a few problems, we did not deserve it, I hope I can make a good starting tomorrow. My pace is good, this weekend was more difficult. We must understand what the source of the problem is, with the bad luck nothing can be done. Tomorrow I will go out strongly to try to get a good result.”

FIRST DAY OF FREE PRACTICE OF THE TISSOT GRAND PRIX OF DOHA.
Doha (Qatar) April 2, 2021 – Today’s day has not been positive for the riders of the Avintia Esponsorama Racing team in the MotoGP category. The conditions of the track have not been favourable, although both riders will continue to demonstrate their potential tomorrow in the second day of practice. Enea Bastiani has scored a time of 1.54,516 finishing in 19th position. His team mate Luca Marini has finished in 20th with a time of 1,54.680.

#23 ENEA BASTIANINI – 1,54.516 – 19th
“It hasn’t been a great day. Since this morning was difficult but I did not want to be negative and I thought that we could improve in the afternoon in FP2, unfortunately that’s not happened, I had no felling with the bike e neither in the first time attack and the second. I had less grip compared to last week and I have not managed to ride well. We need to understand if it has been a problem with the tires or that we must improve the setting. Track conditions have changed. I wasn’t 100% physically today, but tomorrow we’ll be better.”

# 10 LUCA MARINI – 1,54.680 -20th
“ A positive Friday despite the position. At the time of the time attack I tried to follow someone, but we waited a lot and I lost some time.I tried then a lap but the tires were still a bit cold and I did not push at 100% . However, I am happy with the work done because the changes we have tried on the bike have been positive, we have made a slight step forward and tomorrow we still have something we can do on the setup to be able to perform better in qualifying”
Ruben Xaus

“Today has been a complicated situation, we are improving day by day. But today it has been demonstrated that we are in the maximum category with a very high level. Many riders have managed to improve their times and we have not succeeded. The other teams have improved a lot and we have not. We must learn from this and stay focused knowing that we are a great team with a lot of potential. Tomorrow will be another day, we are out of the Q2 but we will try tomorrow at least to get out of the top fifteen, something of vital importance.”
