The motorcycle world championship does not rest. After the Czech Republic Grand Prix last weekend, Esponsorama Racing will take on the Austrian Grand Prix this week at the Red Bull Ring-Spielberg circuit.

Located in the Styrian region, the Red Bull Ring-Spielberg offers a beautiful circuit located in the Austrian forests and characterized by steep slopes and unevenness. A total of 4,318 kilometres and ten turns make it one of the fastest tracks on the calendar.

Esponsorama Racing faces a new weekend of races with high expectations and motivation after the ‘pole position’ and the podium obtained by Johann Zarco in Brno, being the first of the team since his debut in the MotoGP class, and the great evolution that Tito Rabat is showing during this beginning of the season, doing a great job on his Ducati Desmosedici GP19.

The first two free practices of the Austrian Grand Prix will take place on Friday morning at 9:55am.

“After a nice Czech Republic Grand Prix, we arrive to Austria, a track that normally is good for Ducati, so I’m very curious to see my feeling on the bike. I still have many things to learn and I’m working on myself to control always better the bike and it seems that weather will be very changing, so it will be I think the first time I can ride the bike in wet. If the grip is quite OK and there are not surprises, even on wet I can be competitive. So really looking forward to start this Friday.”

“After the Czech Republic Grand Prix we had a few days to rest. From what we analysed in Brno we saw that in terms of fast lap and race pace we are not bad, although there is a lack of competitiveness in close competition and this is what we will try to improve here in Austria. I am very motivated and looking forward to getting back on track.”

El campeonato del mundo de motociclismo no descansa. Tras disputarse el fin de semana pasado el Gran Premio de la República Checa, el Esponsorama Racing afrontará esta semana el Gran Premio de Austria, en el circuito Red Bull Ring-Spielberg.

Situado en la región de Estiria, el Red Bull Ring-Spielberg ofrece un bonito circuito localizado entre los bosques austríacos y que se caracteriza por sus grandes pendientes y desniveles. Un total de 4,318 kilómetros y diez curvas forman uno de los trazados más rápidos de todo el calendario.

El Esponsorama Racing afronta un nuevo fin de semana de carreras con altas expectativas y motivación tras la ‘pole position’ y el podio que obtuvo Johann Zarco en Brno, siendo estos los primeros del equipo desde su debut en la categoría de MotoGP, y la gran evolución que está mostrando Tito Rabat durante este principio de temporada, realizando un gran trabajo encima de su Ducati Desmosedici GP19.

Será el viernes cuando los pilotos disputarán los dos primeros entrenamientos libres del Gran Premio de Austria a partir de las 9:55 de la mañana.

“Después de un bonito Gran Premio de la República Checa, llegamos a Austria, una pista que normalmente es buena para Ducati, así que tengo mucha curiosidad por ver mis sensaciones sobre la moto. Todavía tengo muchas cosas que aprender y estoy trabajando en mí mismo para controlar siempre mejor la moto. Parece que el tiempo va a cambiar mucho, así que creo que será la primera vez que pueda pilotar la moto en mojado. Si el agarre es bueno y no hay sorpresas, incluso en mojado puedo ser competitivo. Así que estoy deseando empezar este viernes”.

“Después del Gran Premio de la República Checa hemos tenido unos días para descansar. A partir de lo que analizamos en Brno, vimos que en vuelta rápida y en ritmo de carrera no estamos mal, aunque falta un poco de competitividad en el cuerpo a cuerpo y esto es lo que vamos a intentar mejorar aquí en Austria. Me siento muy motivado y con ganas de volver a pista.”

Johann Zarco and Esponsorama Racing made history at the Czech Republic Grand Prix. The Frenchman took the team’s first podium since his debut in the MotoGP class with third place at Brno. Tito Rabat crossed the line in 16th position.

After the pole position achieved during qualifying, Johann Zarco was leading the grid. Despite a bad start and losing five positions, the Esponsorama Racing rider remained in the leading group, even having to take a somewhat strict long lap penalty after an incident with Pol Espargaró on lap nine. In the end Zarco finished in a spectacular third position, which together with yesterday’s pole position, closes a perfect weekend for him and the team.

For his part, Tito Rabat has remained at the door of the points zone. The Spanish rider has done a great performance during the whole weekend, going from less to more. After a difficult start, Rabat squeezed his Ducati Desmosedici GP19 to climb positions, but finally crossed the finish line in 16th.

After the Czech Republic Grand Prix, where Esponsorama Racing closed their best weekend in 20 years in the MotoGP class, they face the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg circuit next week.

“Fantastic day today, even better than yesterday’s pole position, because a podium means that the race was good. The race was really tough, I didn’t have a good start and it’s a shame because the first five laps I could go faster than Morbidelli did but I had to fight with the group and it was a little bit hard for me. Then I had some contacts but after that I could overtake Fabio and I was well in third position and then I had the penalty because of this contact and the long lap. When I got the information I want to do it immediately to don’t lose my concentration and when I saw that no one overtook me during the long lap I got like a second breathe to catch the podium and thinking ‘if I push well I can be third’ and I was focused on maybe catch Morbidelli. At the end Rins made me to be scared because he was coming strong but in the last sector I could manage well the corners to keep him behind. I’m incredibly happy for the team, thanks to Ducati for the investment they are doing and happy to offer this podium to my team.”

“After yesterday’s qualifying we had a good starting position, but in the first corner I stayed inside and lost a lot of positions. It has been a difficult day because it was difficult to find the pace, but despite this I was able to recover some positions. I want to congratulate Johann and the whole team. Thank you all for your support and see you in Austria.”

Johann Zarco y el Esponsorama Racing han hecho historia en el Gran Premio de la República Checa. El piloto francés ha logrado el primer podio del equipo desde su debut en la categoría de MotoGP gracias a la tercera posición cosechada en Brno. Tito Rabat ha cruzado la línea de meta en 16ª posición.

Tras la ‘pole position’ lograda durante la clasificación, Johann Zarco encabezaba la parrilla. Pese a tener una mala salida perdiendo cinco posiciones, el piloto del Esponsorama Racing se ha mantenido en el grupo cabecero, incluso teniendo que realizar una ‘long lap penalty’ un tanto estricta tras un incidente con Pol Espargaró en la novena vuelta. Finalmente, Zarco ha logrado una espectacular 3ª posición que, junto a la ‘pole position’ cosechada ayer, cierra un fin de semana perfecto para él y para el equipo.

Por su parte, Tito Rabat se ha quedado a las puertas de la zona de puntos. El piloto español ha realizado una gran actuación durante todo el fin de semana, yendo de menos a más. Tras una salida complicada, Rabat ha exprimido su Ducati Desmosedici GP19 para remontar posiciones, pero finalmente ha cruzado la línea de meta 16º.

Después del Gran Premio de la República Checa, donde el Esponsorama Racing ha cerrado su mejor fin de semana después de 20 años en la categoría de MotoGP, encara el Gran Premio de Austria que se disputará esta próxima semana en el circuito Red Bull Ring – Spielberg.

“Fantástico día hoy, incluso mejor que la pole position de ayer, porque un podio significa que la carrera fue buena. La carrera fue muy dura, no tuve una buena salida y es una pena porque las primeras cinco vueltas pude ir más rápido que Morbidelli pero tuve que luchar con el grupo y fue un poco difícil para mí. Luego tuve algunos contactos pero después de eso pude adelantar a Fabio y estaba bien en la tercera posición y luego tuve la penalización por este contacto y la ‘long lap’. Cuando recibí la información quería hacerlo inmediatamente para no perder la concentración y cuando vi que nadie me adelantaba en la ‘long lap’ tuve como un segundo respiro para alcanzar el podio y pensé “si empujo bien puedo ser tercero” y me concentré en tal vez alcanzar a Morbidelli. Al final Rins me hizo tener miedo porque venía fuerte pero en el último sector pude manejar bien las curvas para mantenerlo atrás. Estoy increíblemente contento por el equipo, gracias a Ducati por el trabajo que están haciendo y feliz de ofrecer este podio a mi equipo”.

“Después de la clasificación de ayer teníamos una buena posición de salida, pero en la primera curva me he quedado por dentro y me ha hecho perder muchas posiciones. Ha sido un día complicado porque me ha costado encontrar el ritmo, pero pese a ello he podido recuperar algunas posiciones. Quiero felicitar a Johann y a todo el equipo. Gracias a todos por el apoyo y nos vemos en Austria.”

Esponsorama Racing completed a brilliant qualifying session at the Czech Republic Grand Prix, where Johann Zarco took the pole position and Tito Rabat 15th.

“Fantastic Saturday here in Czech Republic. A surprise for many people and even for me. The pole position is amazing. Friday I was performing well and with the new tyres I was much better than in Jerez, and we confirm it today. I’m enjoying a lot and I’m so happy for the team to offer them this pole position and also happy for me that it’s a very good sign for all what I’m learning and all what I’m doing with the bike. Tomorrow is a good chance to have a good race.”

I have a good feeling, we are getting closer and better session after session, trying new things. El Esponsorama Racing ha completado una brillante sesión clasificatoria en el Gran Premio de la República Checa, donde Johann Zarco ha logrado la ‘pole position’ y Tito Rabat ha sido 15º.

El piloto francés, que ya mostró todo el fin de semana un gran ritmo con su Ducati Desmosedici GP19, ha logrado clasificarse directamente a la Q2. En la sesión clasificatoria, tras marcar un tiempo de 1’55.687, Zarco se ha impuesto con contundencia sobre sus rivales a pesar de la caída de Fabio Quartararo durante su última vuelta, en la cuál venía a +0.191 y no hubiese logrado mejorar el registro del piloto del Esponsorama Racing, consiguiendo así la primera ‘pole position’ del equipo desde su debut en MotoGP.

Por su parte, Tito Rabat ha finalizado en una meritoria 15ª posición tras la gran evolución que ha mostrado desde el día de ayer. El piloto barcelonés luchará desde la primera vuelta por escalar posiciones y obtener en la carrera el mejor resultado posible.

Mañana a partir de las 14:00 dará comienzo la carrera del Gran Premio de la República Checa que, tras la exitosa sesión clasificatoria, el equipo afronta con grandes expectativas.

El equipo Esponsorama Racing quiere pedir disculpas publicamente por la impresión que pueda haber causado a través de las imágenes de televisión al alegrarse por la caída de Fabio Quartararo. El equipo ha expresado su gran alegría por lo increíblemente cerca que estaba de conseguir por primera vez desde su debut en la categoría de MotoGP después de 20 años la primera ‘pole position’. “Fantástico sábado aquí en la República Checa. Una sorpresa para mucha gente e incluso para mí. La ‘pole position’ es increíble. El viernes estuve bien y con los neumáticos nuevos estuve mucho mejor que en Jerez, y hoy lo confirmamos. Estoy disfrutando mucho y estoy muy contento de poder dar esta ‘pole position’ y también estoy contento de que sea una muy buena señal de todo lo que estoy aprendiendo y de todo lo que estoy haciendo con la moto. Mañana es una buena oportunidad para hacer una buena carrera”.

“Primero de todo quiero felicitar a Johann y al equipo. Hoy hemos tenido un buen día y cada vez hemos estado haciendo tiempos más cerca de la ‘pole’. Tengo buenas sensaciones, estamos cada vez más cerca y mejorando sesión tras sesión, probando cosas nuevas. Lo positivo es que se ha visto que podemos estar arriba y a seguir trabajando para seguir esta línea ascendente.”

El Hublot Reale Avintia Racing Team ha finalizado el Gran Premio de Andalucía con un buen resultado de Johann Zarco y Tito Rabat tras cruzar la línea de meta en 9ª y 11ª posición respectivamente.

El piloto francés, que logró durante la clasificación el 15º mejor tiempo de la sesión, ha completado una gran actuación con una gran remontada que le ha permitido sumar siete importantes puntos. Desde la salida, Zarco ha mostrado un buen ritmo que le ha permitido rodar cerca del ‘top-10’ durante toda la carrera y que, finalmente ha conseguido alcanzar la novena posición.

Por su parte, Tito Rabat ha cruzado la línea a tan solo cinco segundos de finalizar entre los diez primeros. El piloto barcelonés, que ha ejecutado una gran salida, ha perdido posiciones tras cometer un error en la sexta curva del trazado durante la primera vuelta. Pese a ello, Rabat ha logrado recuperar posiciones, hasta ascender a la 11ª posición, que le ha servido para sumar cinco puntos más a su casillero.

El Hublot Reale Avintia Racing Team afrontará la siguiente cita de la temporada en el Autódromo de Brno durante el 7, 8 y 9 de agosto.

“Una novena posición siempre es un buen resultado. En comparación con la semana pasada mejoré pero aún así la carrera ha sido difícil. Al principio tenía un buen feeling, pero faltaron algunas décimas durante tres o cuatro vueltas, lo que definió la posibilidad de hacer un 39 bajo o un 38 alto. Esta ha sido una mejor carrera. Aunque tengo que manejar algunos errores que he cometido que a veces pueden provocar la caída. Terminé noveno, los resultados están llegando y dar todo de uno mismo siempre es la única forma de entender las cosas. Han sido dos semanas bastante buenas, ahora vamos a la República Checa, donde espero poder tomar toda la información y hacerlo aún mejor. Creo que Ducati tendrá ventajas en una lista más grande, así que estoy deseando ver nuestro nivel en Brno”

“Hoy hemos hecho una buena salida, he ido bien hasta la curva 6, donde me he ido por fuera porque no frenaba y tenía más pilotos delante. En cuanto a ritmo de carrera bien, pero respecto a nuestro compañero de equipo nos faltan dos décimas por vuelta, que las he de encontrar yo. Hoy era una prueba importante físicamente, la cual hemos terminado bien. Ahora lo importante es descansar y pensar en la próxima carrera en Brno”

The Hublot Reale Avintia Racing Team passed the first day of free practice at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit with good feelings.

In the first free practice session, Johann Zarco finished in 14th position, less than a second behind the leader, and Tito Rabat was 19th. Both were able to have a new contact with the Andalusian track four days after the celebration of the Spanish Grand Prix race.

I got a little crash, but I was trying to find some new limits and to crash was not a problem, it was almost good to understand where I can push or not. So, positive day, tomorrow will be especially important to find the time-attack in FP3 to have the chance to go straight to Q2 and then have the best qualifying as possible. The performance is coming better and now I need to stay focused.”

“It’s been a positive day. In the morning, with the soft front tyre I didn’t do very well, but in the afternoon we tried some modifications and it went a little better. I’m satisfied and now we’ll see if we can continue in this direction and improve a little more. I’m sure that if we continue on this path it will go well”.

El Hublot Reale Avintia Racing Team ha superado con buena nota el primer día de entrenamientos libres en el Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto.

En la primera sesión de entrenamientos libres, Johann Zarco ha finalizado en 14ª posición a menos de un segundo del líder y Tito Rabat ha sido 19ª. Ambos han podido tener una nueva de contacto con el trazado andaluz cuatro días después de la celebración de la carrera del Gran Premio de España.

De cara a los segundos entrenamientos libres, Zarco ha demostrado el potencial de la Ducati Desmosedici GP19 y ha concluido la sesión en segunda posición tras marcar un registro de 1:37.970, tan solo una décima más lento que el primer clasificado. Por su parte, Tito Rabat se ha tenido que conformar con la 14ª posición tras irse al suelo en la última vuelta cronometrada, en la cual venía superando su mejor marca.

Mañana a las 9:55 de la mañana volverá la acción a la pista, cuando se disputarán los terceros entrenamientos libres de la categoría de MotoGP. Será a las 14:10 cuando se disputará la clasificación, en la cual se decidirá el orden de la parrilla para la carrera del Gran Premio de Andalucía.

“El primer día aquí para el segundo gran premio de la temporada ha sido bueno. Esta tarde mejoré un poco mi tiempo de vuelta comparado con el de la mañana. Tuve una pequeña caída, pero estaba tratando de encontrar nuevos límites y caer no ha sido problema, incluso ha sido bueno para entender dónde puedo empujar o no. Así que, día positivo, mañana será especialmente importante para encontrar el tiempo en la FP3 para tener la oportunidad de ir directamente a la Q2 y luego tener la mejor calificación posible. El rendimiento está mejorando y ahora necesito estar concentrado”.

“Ha sido un día positivo. Por la mañana, con la goma blanda delantera no me ha ido muy bien, pero por la tarde hemos probado alguna modificación y ha ido un poco mejor. Estoy satisfecho y ahora a ver de cara a mañana si podemos seguir en esta línea y poder mejorar un poco más. Seguro si seguimos en este camino irá bien”.

“After the last weekend, we got a lot of experience, a good first contact. Now, we start from a very good base, from which we will focus on polishing details of my riding, as there are not new pieces to try, so we are lucky to be able to focus on polishing small things to improve yourself”

“I’m happy to be again at the same circuit, I learnt many things on the Ducati so repeating at the same track, for me, I think is useful, because I will see if the work I do with the team will be good or not. I think the step I will do this week is very important, to also prepare for the next race in Czech Republic. Next race will be hot again, around 40 degrees all the weekend, but we are ready for the next one and I know now which is the sector I need to work.”
