The ninth race of the MotoGP season held at Sachsenring was positive for the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders as both managed to finish the race in points positions, which is very important for their morale after an unfortunate race in Assen.

Both Spanish and Czech riders were able to overcome a poor qualifying session on Saturday in which Karel Abraham and Tito Rabat closed the standings in 21st and 22nd positions respectively. Tito Rabat made a great comeback to the eleventh position, near the Top10. Karel Abraham, meanwhile, did another comeback in order to get inside the Top15.

The Reale Avintia Racing Team hopes to continue with this positive performance after the summer break at the Brno circuit that will host the GP of the Czech Republic on 2, 3 and 4th of August.

“I am happy with the set-up of the bike since we found support in the rear wheel, something I have been missing since we swiped into these tires. I’ve had a good time on the bike, I’ve been reaching and overtaking riders and the truth is that you do not get tired because you’re enjoying it. We will take advantage of these three weeks to continue working and come back stronger. I hope to continue with this performance in the following races.”

“I am very happy because after two unfortunate races I was able to finish the race and get a point. It has been a hard race, from which I believe we can draw positive and negative aspects. The positive is that we have made good lap times and the negative is that I think I could have ended up with Tito but I have to be stronger and have less fear on the track. Unfortunately, at the start of the race I had a moment in turn 11, just before the waterfall and that made me lose a lot of time but I was able to recover some of it. ”

La novena carrera de la temporada de MotoGP celebrada en Sachsenring ha sido positiva para los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing Team ya que ambos han conseguido terminar la carrera en posiciones de puntos, lo cual es muy importante para su moral después de una carrera desafortunada en Assen.

Tanto el español como el checo han sido capaces de sobreponerse a mala sesión de clasificación el sábado en la que Karel Abraham y Tito Rabat cerraron la clasificación en 21ª y 22ª posición respectivamente. Tito Rabat ha realizado una gran remontada hasta la decimoprimera posición, cerca del Top10. Karel Abraham, por su parte, ha remontado para cerrar el Top15 y conseguir un meritorio punto.

El Reale Avintia Racing Team espera seguir con este positivo rendimiento después del parón de verano en el circuito de Brno que será sede del GP de la República Checa los días 2, 3 y 4 de agosto.

“Estoy contento por la configuración de la moto, hemos encontrado soporte atrás, algo que me falta desde que cambiaron estos neumáticos. Me lo he pasado bien encima de moto, he ido alcanzando y adelantando pilotos y la verdad es que así no te cansas porque vas disfrutando. Aprovecharemos estas tres semanas para seguir trabajando y volver más fuertes. Espero poder seguir en esta línea.”

“Estoy muy contento porque después de dos carreras desafortunadas he podido acabar la carrera y conseguir un punto. Ha sido una carrera dura de la que creo que podemos sacar aspectos positivos y negativos. Lo positivo es que hemos hecho buenos tiempos de vuelta y lo negativo es que creo que podría haber acabado junto con Tito pero debo ser más fuerte y tener menos miedo en la pista. Por desgracia, a principio de carrera he tenido un susto en la curva 11, justo antes de la bajada y eso me ha hecho perder mucho tiempo pero he podido recuperar terreno.”

After qualifying out of the points in the Grand Prix of the Netherlands last week, both Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham want find back their potential acquired in the last rounds. On this occasion, the stage will be the Circuit de Sachsenring (Germany) where the HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deustchland will host this weekend as the ninth round of the World Championship.

The Sachsenring is one of the most characteristic racetracks of the calendar for its design since it has 10 left and 3 right curves that are linked in a narrow 3,671m full of ups and downs that build the shortest circuit of the season .

“Despite having a good race in Montmeló and a good test, Assen’s weekend was a disaster, I would like to do well in Germany because I feel strong and 100% and I’m looking forward to get there even though Sachsenring doesn’t regulary suit Ducati. ”

“I look forward to race at Sachsenring because Assen’s race did not turn out as we expected and Germany’s is like my second home race because it’s very close to where I live. lt’s a fun and very different circuit that can also be complicated. I hope we can do a good job as we did in Assen on Friday and Saturday and that we can take a good step towards the race and get one or two points before the summer break.”

Después de clasificar fuera de los puntos en el Gran Premio de los Países Bajos la semana pasada, tanto Tito Rabat como Karel Abraham quieren volver a demostrar su potencial adquirido en las últimas pruebas. En esta ocasión, el escenario será el Circuito de Sachsenring (Alemania) con motivo del HJC Helmets Motorrad Gran Prix Deustchland que acogerá este fin de semana la novena prueba puntuable del Campeonato del Mundo.

El de Sachsenring es uno de los trazados más característicos del calendario por su diseño ya que cuenta con 10 curvas a izquierda y 3 derecha que se enlazan en  unos estrechos 3.671m repletos de subidas y bajadas que lo convierten en el circuito más corto de la temporada.

“A pesar de haber hecho una buena carrera en Montmeló y un buen test, el fin de semana de Assen fue un desastre. Me gustaría hacerlo bien en Alemania porque me siento fuerte y al 100% y llego con ganas a pesar de que Sachsenring no es una pista que favorezca a Ducati”.

“Tengo ganas de correr en Sachsenring ya que la carrera de Assen no salió como esperábamos y la de Alemania es prácticamente mi segunda carrera de casa porque está muy cerca de donde vivo. Se trata de un circuito divertido y muy diferente que también puede ser complicado. Espero que podamos hacer un buen trabajo como el que hicimos en Assen el viernes y el sábado y que podamos dar un buen paso de cara a la carrera y conseguir uno o dos puntos antes del parón veraniego”.

The Reale Avintia Racing Team riders arrived at the Dutch Grand Prix with optimism, as Tito Rabat achieved his first Top 10 of the season in the Catalan GP and Karel Abraham had also made a good weekend in Montmeló, despite an unfortunate crash in the race.

However, both riders struggled more than expected in Assen. On the one hand, Karel Abraham qualified in an acceptable 16th position for the race on Sunday. On the other hand, Tito Rabat suffered a crash on Saturday that would condition his work plan and would make him start in last in grid (21st).

The race was difficult and Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham were on the bottom of the race classification most of the laps. Rabat finished 16th, so close to points. Abraham crashed with six laps remaining and, although his Ducati GP18 suffered some damage, he continued to finish the race.
”Complicated weekend. Assen is a very physically demanding circuit and even more considering that I came from an operation in the leg and my tendon hurted behind the knee. The first two days hurted more, today in the warm up the pain disappeared down but it has returned in the race. It penalized me because it is one of the worst circuits for the Ducati, you have to change a lot of direction. In the race I tried to follow the group in front but I made a mistake and when I was alone I could not go full throttle on the straights, I had to use the rear brake even in sixth gear because the bike moved a lot. After half a race, the rear brake temperature went up and sometimes it stopped working. I tried to get some points but it was not possible today. The positive part is that we have another race next week to get rid of the thorn.”

 


”It was a bad day today. Friday and Saturday were good and I was happy with everthing, I think we did a really good job with lap times. I felt relaxed for the race and strong to fight for 12th or 13th. However, after the start, which was really bad, I couldn’t do anything as I wasn’t fast. We made a few mistakes in the set up that I would like to change for Sachsenring and I just didn’t have a good feeling with both front and rear tyres. I couldn’t follow the riders that overtook me as Oliveira or Tito himself. Then, I was just trying to finish the race but unfortunately I lost the front in a corner. I picked up the bike and continued in order to finish the race.”

Los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team llegaban al GP de Holanda con optimismo, pues Tito Rabat venía de conseguir el primer Top 10 del año en el GP de Catalunya y Karel Abraham también había hecho un buen fin de semana la cita anterior, a pesar de una desafortunada caída en carrera.

Sin embargo, ambos sufrieron más de lo esperado en Assen. Por una parte, Karel Abraham clasificaba en una aceptable 16º posición para la carrera del domingo. Por otro lado, Tito Rabat sufría una caída el sábado que condicionaba su plan de trabajo y le hizo salir en última posición de parrilla (21º).

La carrera fue complicada y, durante la mayor parte de la misma, Tito Rabat y Karel Abraham cerraron la clasificación de la prueba. Rabat acabó 16º a las puertas de los puntos. Abraham, por su parte, cayó a falta de seis vueltas y, aunque su Ducati GP18 sufría algunos desperfectos, cosiguió acabar la carrera.

”Fin de semana complicado. Assen es un circuito muy exigente físicamente y más teniendo en cuenta que venía de una operación en la pierna y me dolía el tendón detrás de la rodilla. Los dos primeros días me dolía más, hoy en el warm up el dolor ha ido a menos pero ha vuelto en carrera. Esto me ha penalizado porque es uno de los peores circuitos para la Ducati, hay que cambiar mucho de dirección. En carrera he intentado seguir al grupo de delante pero he cometido un error y cuando me he quedado solo no podía dar gas a fondo en las rectas, tenía que usar el freno trasero incluso en sexta marcha porque la moto se movía mucho. Después de media carrera, ha subido la temperatura del freno y a veces dejaba de funcionar. He intentado conseguir algún punto pero no ha podido ser. Lo bueno es que tenemos otra carrera la semana que viene para quitarnos la espina.”

”Hoy fue un mal día. El viernes y el sábado fueron buenos y estaba contento por ello, creo que hicimos un muy buen trabajo con los tiempos de vuelta. Me sentí relajado para la carrera y fuerte para luchar por el 12º o el 13º. Sin embargo, después de la salida, que fue realmente mal, no podía hacer nada porque no era rápido. Cometimos algunos errores en la configuración que me gustaría cambiar para Sachsenring y simplemente no tuve una buena sensación con los neumáticos delantero y trasero. No pude seguir a los pilotos que me adelantaron como Oliveira o el propio Tito. Después, solo estaba tratando de acabar, pero desafortunadamente me caí. Recogí la moto y continué para terminar la carrera.”

Karel Abraham leaves the Italian Grand Prix satisfied with the work done while Tito Rabat is forced to abandon.

After a very positive weekend, Tito Rabat faced the race with hope and optimism. The Italian Grand Prix brought the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders the direct path to good results. On Saturday in the QP, Rabat marked his best grid result so far this season, 14th, coming to fight face to face with the official Ducatis. But the good way has been truncated by the electronic problems that Tito Rabat has suffered at the start of the race. Having to start from Pit Lane, Tito was forced to abandon the race after the first lap.

The face of this Grand Prix for the Reale Avintia Racing team was the Czech, Karel Abraham. Karel left from the 16th position and although the hard conditions of the track he faced the race with positivity. With the temperature of the track so high, the race was hard. In spite of the drawbacks, Abraham has been able to get over himself and overcome the challenges. Thanks to all the team’s work and perseverance, Abraham has managed to enter the points zone for the first time this season and is happy to Mugello.

”Happy because we have found the way with the bike, because we can be competitive and fight with the best but frustrated by the problem today. Now we just have to think about Montmeló”

”To be honest the race was almost what I expected. I knew that we are capable to fight for the point today I knew we were strong same as Le Mans but it didn´t work. But I know also very well that the conditions changed for the race today, the track was hot, the air was hot this means it will be a lot more difficult for the tyres, for the bike but also for the rider. For me especially because I do not like hot conditions. After the start of the race it was not very good in identity very well with the tyres, because the front and the rear was slaiding quite a lot. But after a 4 laps I took the confidence and the bike work better. And I stay to overtake everybody. The race was very hard. I knew my tyres were dropping specially in the end but I could see everybody stay was dropping because I start to catch the otherones. So I was very good finally we made 2 points I think we deserve because we work really hard all weekend. And all my team we deserve the points, thank you very much to everyone. I´m super happy we ended finally the weekend like this”

After an unfortunate Grand Prix of France, where the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders have not completed the race, they arrive in Italy to obtain better results. The Oakley Grand Prix of Italy will be the 6th race  of the season and the 3rd in Europe. Although the results of the first races, Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham arrive excited before a track that they like and willing to achieve results.

The Mugello Circuit seduces the riders of the Reale Avintia as they consider it a circuit where they can be favored thanks to their fast corners and their long straight. Without a doubt, Rabat and Abraham only have that goal in mind, and it is to get on their Ducati in Mugello and score the best possible result.

”With much desire as always to get to Mugello. With clear ideas to do the best possible. Now the following races are circuits that favor the Ducati, both Mugello and Montmelo. We are going to work from the beginning to find the way and be able to take a step forward”

‘Mugello is a very beautiful track I think one of the tracks that fits me quite well with the fast corners which is really nice so I’m looking forward to get to mugello. The weather is also kind of tricky, it can be very hot and can be even rainy so hopefully it will be again around 20 degrees which is perfect for me’

 

Tras un desafortunado Gran Premio de Francia donde los dos pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team no pudieron completar la carrera, llegan a Italia dispuestos a conseguir mejores resultados. El Gran Premio de Italia Oakley sera la 6º cita de la temporada y la 3º en suelo europeo. Pese a los resultados de las primeras carreras los pilotos, Tito Rabat y Karel Abraham llegan emocionados ante un trazado que les gusta y dispuestos a conseguir resultados.

El Circuito de Mugello seduce a los pilotos del Reale Avintia ya que consideran que es un circuito donde pueden verse favorecidos gracias a sus curvas rápidas y a su larga recta. Sin duda, Rabat y Abraham solo tienen ese objetivo en la mente, y es subirse a su Ducati en Mugello y marcar el mejor resultado posible.

 

 

‘Mugello es una pista muy bonita, creo que es una de las pistas que me van mejor por sus curvas rápidas, que es realmente bueno, así que estoy deseando llegar a Mugello. El clima también es un poco complicado, puede ser muy caluroso e incluso lluvioso, así que espero que estemos a unos 20 grados, que es perfecto para mí’

Black weekend for the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders. Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham have been forced to abandon the race of the French Grand Prix, after suffering the ’53’ a mechanical problem and the black flag of Abraham.

A race that has been truncated before starting. In the warm-up lap, Karel Abraham went down with Joan Mir. Despite the setback, the Czech driver managed to start the race from Pit Lane after the first lap was completed, a fact that caused the black flag for Abraham to violate the rules of departure from the Pit Lane.

Luck has not accompanied Tito Rabat in the Grand Prix of France. The Catalan who started from the 20th position could not complete the Warm Up Lap. A mechanical problem truncated Tito’s aspirations despite improving the feeling of the rear tyre.

”A pity weekend because they have been mixed conditions. We continue to suffer from rear tyre. Although I could not finish the Warm Up neither the race I felt good with the rear wheel. Every time I go feeling better, I’m getting feeling well with the rear wheel and the problems go past so this is a good sign. I´m very frustrated”

”The weekend was pretty good. We were happy to make a good qualifying and I felt very confident before the race to fight to enter the points zone. I think we could have done it but on the warm-up lap I went straight and I fell. I think that behind me Joan Mir also went to the ground. It has been all very strange. Now my back and head hurts because of the fall. I’m disappointed, really upset because I knew we could get a couple of points in this race instead we go with a big zero again. We can not do anything until the next appointment in Mugello ”
