The Austrian race has left the MotoGP Reale Avintia Racing riders with a bittersweet taste. On the one hand, Karel Abraham has finished the race within the points (15th) despite having suffered some problems with the rear tire from the first third of the race. On the other hand, Tito Rabat crashed while riding in 13th position in what was being a good race from him who started 15th on the grid.
The next race will be held at Silverstone on August 23, 24 and 25.

“It is good to get a point, although it was not the best race of the season. I tried to be fast from the beginning, but the start has not been good and, although i was with a group, from the first third of the race i had problems with the rear tire. From there on, I could not do anything, just try to finish the race. We deserve the point because we have not crashed and we have managed to be on the bike until the end. ”

“It has been a weekend in which we have gone from less to more. We managed to improve the setting and made a decent classification (15th) and in the race we made a good start from where I tried to follow the leading riders. When I tried I made a couple of mistakes and when I tried to brake hard it hurt my wrist and I had to jump from the motorcycle just before reaching the wall. It’s a shame but we had a positive weekend. “

La carrera de Austria ha dejado a los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing de MotoGP con un sabor agridulce. Por una parte, Karel Abraham ha conseguido acabar la carrera dentro de los puntos (15º) a pesar de haber subido unos problemas con el desgaste del neumatico trasero a partir del primer tercio de carrera. Por otro lado, Tito Rabat se ha ido al suelo cuando rodaba en 13ª posición en la que estaba siendo una buena carrera del piloto barcelonés que arrancaba 15º en parrilla.

La próxima carrera se celebrará en Silverstone los días 23, 24 y 25 de agosto.

“Es bueno conseguir un punto, aunque seguramente no haya sido la mejor carrera de la temporada. He intentado tirar desde el principio, pero la salida no ha sido buena y, aunque he estado con un grupo, a partir del primer tercio de la carrera he comenzado a tener problemas con el neumático trasero. A partir de ahí, no he podido hacer nada, solo intentar acabar la carrera. Nos merecemos el punto porque no nos hemos caído y hemos conseguido estar encima de la moto hasta el final.”

“Ha sido un fin de semana en el que hemos ido de menos a más. Conseguimos mejorar el setting e hicimos una clasificación decente (15º) y en carrera hemos hecho una buena salida en la que he intentado seguir a los pilotos de cabeza. Cuando lo he probado he cometido un par de errores y cuando he intentado frenar fuerte me he hecho daño en la muñeca y me he tenido que tirar de la moto justo antes de llegar al muro. Es una lástima pero hemos hecho un fin de semana positivo.”

The Reale Avintia Racing Team riders left without points as a reward from last week’s race at the Brno circuit. From Friday they will get a new chacne to fight for points as the twelfth round MotoGP world championship will be held at the Speilberg circuit in Austria. Since its return to the championship in 2016, Ducati has been the only brand to win in MotoGP because, due to the design of the circuit, it suits perfectly to the characteristics of Italian motorcycles. That is why the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders are optimistic about the Austrian race.

“Unfortunately we could not take any point in Brno but we fought until the end for it. I rode for 70 test laps on Monday test after the Grand Prix so I am motivated and eager to do it well. Hopefully we get a good weather to twist the throttle.”

“I really like the circuit of the Red Bull Ring because it is very fast and flowing. However, it seems that it is going to rain and I remember  from other years that it is quite slippery. We will see if the weather respects us this weekend, it would be a dream to have good weather without rain.”

Los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team se marcharon sin puntos como recompensa de la cita de la semana pasada celebrada en el circuito de Brno. A partir del viernes tendrán una nueva oportunidad de luchar por los puntos con motivo de la disputa de la duodécima prueba del campeonato del mundo de MotoGP en el circuito de Speilberg en Austria.
Desde su regreso al campeonato en el año 2016, Ducati ha sido la única marca de ganar en la categoría reina ya que, debido al diseño del circuito, se adapta a las mil maravillas a las características de las motos italianas. Por ello los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team se muestran optimistas de cara a la prueba austriaca.

“Por desgracia no pudimos llevarnos ningún punto en Brno pero luchamos hasta el final por ello. Dimos 70 vueltas de test el lunes tras el Gran Premio así que estoy motivado y con ganas de hacerlo bien. Ojalá nos respete el tiempo y podamos dar gas.”

“Me gusta mucho el circuito del Red Bull Ring porque es muy rápido y fluido. Sin embargo, parece que va a llover y recuerdo de otros años que es bastante resbaladizo. Veremos si la meteorología nos respeta este fin de semana, sería un sueño tener buen tiempo sin lluvia.”

The tenth race of the MotoGP world championship held in Brno (Czech Republic) left the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders eager for more as they did not made it into points positions as they did in the previous event held in Germany.

The weather conditions changed just at the end of the Moto2 race when a summer storm appeared and soaked the Brno circuit, especially at the beginning and end of the Czech track. When the MotoGP riders went out on the grid they realised that the circuit was in mixed conditions and they wouldn’t be able to ride either with dry or wet tires.

Given this situation, race direction decided to delay the start of the test for safety reasons for more than 30 minutes in order to wait for the track to dry.

Karel Abraham started from the 20th position in his home Grand Prix, after a difficult race he finished 19th. On the other hand, Tito Rabat ride from the 22nd grid position to the 16th in the race finishing close to the points.

The next MotoGP world championship race will be held at the Austrian Red Bull Ring circuit from August 9th to 11th.

“It has been a difficult weekend, it is a shame because it is a circuit that we are good at. The bad conditions did not helped me but we have been able to fight until the end. I’ve finished close to the points’ positions, which is positive. I am happy with the team and the situation, tomorrow we stay to do a test to continue improving. ”

“I am not happy because it was the race in which I had to be, at least, riding with my teammate. During the first part of the race he was a little faster and we were not far between us, but something happened, I felt something was different on the bike and I slowed down. I tried to adapt, but I think the problem was bigger and now we have to try to find out what it is. Then I had problems with the rear wheel, it was sliding too much and I had no traction.”

La décima prueba del campeonato del mundo de MotoGP celebrada en Brno (República Checa) dejó con ganas de más a los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team que no pudieron entrar en posiciones de puntos como sí hicieran en la anterior cita celebrada en Alemania.

Las condiciones meteorológicas cambiaron justo al acabar la carrera de Moto2 cuando apareció una tormenta de verano que bañó el circuito de Brno, sobre todo en el principio y el final del trazado checo. Cuando los pilotos de la categoría reina salieron a parrilla vieron que el circuito estaba en condiciones mixtas y no se podía correr ni con neumáticos de seco ni de mojado.

Ante tal situación, dirección de carrera optó por retrasar el inicio de la prueba por motivos de seguridad más de 30 minutos con el objetivo de esperar a que la pista se secase.

Karel Abraham partía desde la 20ª posición en su Gran Premio de casa y, después de una carrera difícil concluyó 19º. Por su parte, Tito Rabat remontó desde la 22ª posición de parrilla hasta la 16ª en carrera quedándose a las puertas de los puntos.

La siguiente carrera del campeonato del mundo de MotoGP se celebrará en el circuito austriaco del Red Bull Ring del 9 al 11 de agosto.

“Ha sido un fin de semana complicado, es una lástima porque es un circuito que se nos da bien. Las malas condiciones no me han ayudado a ir mejor, pero hemos podido luchar hasta el final. Me he quedado a las puertas de los puntos, lo cual es un consuelo. Estoy contento con el equipo y la situación, además mañana nos quedamos para hacer un test para seguir mejorando.”

“No estoy contento porque era la carrera en la que tenía que haber estado, al menos, con mi compañero de equipo. Durante la primera parte de la carrera él fue un poco más rápido y no estábamos lejos entre nosotros, pero pasó algo, sentía que algo iba distinto en la moto y he bajado el ritmo. Me he intentado adaptar, pero creo que el problema era más grande y ahora tenemos que intentar averiguar qué es. Luego tuve problemas con la rueda trasera, derrapaba demasiado y no tenía tracción alguna”.

After a well deserved summer break, the Reale Avintia Racing Team wants to maintain the good performance shown in the Sachsenring race just before the start of the summer break. In the German track, both riders managed to score since they got inside the Top15 in Sunday’s race.

After the first nine races of the season, Tito Rabat, who arrives in Brno with a new two-year contract with the Reale Avintia Racing Team, is in 19th position in the MotoGP world championship standings with 14 points in the box . Después de un merecido parón veraniego, el Reale Avintia Racing Team quiere mantener el buen rendimiento demostrado en el trazo de Sachsenring justo antes del inicio de la pausa estival. En el trazado germano, ambos pilotos lograron puntuar al entrar dentro del Top15 en la carrera del domingo.

Después de las nueve primeras carreras de la temporada, Tito Rabat, que llega a Brno con un nuevo contrato por dos años con el Reale Avintia Racing Team, se encuentra en 19ª posición en la clasificación del campeonato del mundo de MotoGP con 14 puntos es casillero. Por otro lado, Karel Abraham, que correrá en su República Checa natal este fin de semana, está actualmente en la 25ª posición del campeonato del mundo.

Reale Avintia Racing team is pleased to announce a new agreement reached with Tito Rabat for the 2020 and 2021 MotoGP seasons. The former Moto2 World Champion will continue for two more years with the team owned by Raúl Romero, who now aims at getting state-of-the-art bikes with the latest factory specifications, as well as a factory technical crew. Furthermore, and thanks to the excellent relationship between Esponsorama and Rabat family, the team is in negotiations with a major sponsor to complete an ambitious project which will allow Reale Avintia Racing to fight for strong results in the upcoming seasons.
Following his serious accident during the British Grand Prix last season, Tito Rabat struggled in a difficult first part of the championship, but in the last two races, the Spanish rider began to recover the feeling with his bike, he was ninth in Catalunya and he was close to the ‘top 10’ last time out in Germany.
Today’s announcement puts an end to the latest rumours that had Rabat looking for a ride in WSBK. It also confirms that Raúl Romero’s team will continue in the MotoGP World Championship stronger than ever.

“I’m very happy that I signed for two more years with my team. The best news is that we are going to have factory bikes from 2020, which is crucial to our goal of fighting for top positions in every race. The MotoGP class is more competitive than ever and you need to have the best machinery to get good results. I want to thank Raúl for his confidence in me. We had a difficult start into this year, but we got stronger in the last few races. Knowing that I will continue for two more seasons is a boost to my confidence and I’m sure I‘ll be back stronger in the second half of the championship.”

Con este contrato, el ex Campeón del Mundo de Moto2 seguirá dos años más con el equipo de Raúl Romero, quien está trabajando duro para conseguir motos con las últimas especificaciones de fábrica, así como un equipo técnico oficial. Además, gracias a la buena relación de Esponsorama con la familia Rabat, el equipo está negociando con un importante patrocinador para completar un ambicioso proyecto, que le permitirá luchar grandes resultados en las próximas temporadas.

Tras sufrir un grave accidente la pasada temporada durante el transcurso del Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña, Tito Rabat ha protagonizado una primera parte de campeonato complicada, pero en las últimas carreras, el piloto español comenzó a recuperar las buenas sensaciones con su moto terminando noveno en Catalunya y muy cerca del ‘top 10’ en Alemania.

Con este anuncio se pone fin a los rumores que situaban a Rabat en WSBK y también se confirma que el equipo propiedad de Esponsorama, seguirá en el Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP con más fuerza que nunca.
