29/01/18 Sepang MotoGP Test – Sepang International Circuit

Igual que ahir, els pilots de MotoGP s’han de trobat amb la pista humida després de la pluja caiguda per la nit. Però amb el sol de Malàisia el Circuit de Sepang s’ha assecat ràpid i abans del migdia, els Pilots de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing han pogut pujar a les seves motocicletes per continuar treballant.

Tito Rabat ha tornat a millorar en lo que refereix al ritme de carrera i en comparació amb el primer dia, ha rodat casi un segon més ràpid de pas. El excampió de Moto2 ha treballat molt bé amb el seu equip tècnic i ha baixat més de mig segon el seu millor temps del primer dia,encara que s’ha quedat amb les ganes de millorar una mica al final. En l’última mitja hora ha muntat un nou pneumàtic Michelin per atacar el cronòmetre, quan la pluja ha començat a caure sobre el circuit.

Xavier Simeon també ha donat un gran pas endavant en el seu procés d’adaptació a la categoria MotoGP. El belga, seguint els consells del equip i del seu ‘coach’,RubénXaus,vamillorantelseuestiliavuihamilloratelseuritme en gairebé un segon i mig. El seu objectiu a la pretemporada no és donar un volta ràpida, si no aprendre el màxim possible per a quan el Campionat del Món comenci a Qatar el proper mes de març.

“Avui ha estat un dia per provar moltes coses en la configuració de la moto per a veure lo que ens agrada i el que no ens agrada. Estic content perquè tenim clar el camí a seguir i encara que hem fet poques voltes, totes han estat efectives i ens han permès provar el que volíem. Per demà, si aquesta nit no plou, la intenció és sortir aviat per millorar la volta ràpida, perquè la veritat és que estic content amb el ritme que tenim i perqué estic fent els temps ràpids rodant en solitari. Haurà que concentrar-se per aprofitar al màxim l’últim dia i si tot va bé, m’agradaria fer una simulació de cursa “.

“Estic molt content perquè hem donat un pas endavant amb respecte ahir i fins i tot durant la tarda amb pneumàtics usat he pogut millorar. Cada vegada que surto a pista hem trobo millor amb la moto, cada vegada entenc millor els pneumàtics , vaig canviant la meva posició i poc a poc vaig pilotant mes al estil que requereix una MotoGP; aixecant la moto al més aviat possible i intentant frenar el més tard possible, però sense exagerar. Al final del dia hem muntat un pneumàtic tou per intentar millorar el temps i, sincerament, esperava millorar una mica més. Especialment veient com els altres pilots amb un nou pneumàtic donavan un gran salt. Esperava poder fer-ho lo mateix, però està clar que encara me quedan moltes coses per apendre.”

28/01/18 Sepang MotoGP Test – Sepang International Circuit

L’equip Reale Avintia Racing ha començat avui la temporada 2018 al Circuit Internacional de Sepang a Malàisia. Tito Rabat i Xavi Simeon han sortit per primera vegada a pista amb pneumàtics Michelin d’aigua després que una tempesta deixés l’asfalt mullat abans de començar el primer test de l’any. Amb la humitat que hi ha a Sepang i el nou asfalt, la pista ha trigat a assecar-se i els pilots de MotoGP no han pogut gaudir d’un circuit completament sec fins després de dinar.

Tito Rabat ha treballat durant tot el dia amb l’opció de pneumàtics més durs dels que Michelin ha portat per aquests entrenaments. L’objectiu de l’equip i del pilot era recuperar les sensacions després de dos mesos sense pujar-se en la seva Ducati. Quan ha muntat els pneumàtics tous en l’última hora del test, el pilot del Reale Avintia immediatament ha millorat els seus temps, però en aquesta mateixa tanda ha patit una caiguda en el revolt 5 i el dia ha acabat per a ell. Una llàstima perquè les sensacions eren molt bones i es veia capaç de millorar, tal com han fet la resta de pilots que han pogut rodar fins al final. Així i demà espera fer un altre pas i seguir amb la seva bona evolució sobre la Ducati Desmosedici GP17.

Per a Xavier Simeon la primera jornada a Malàisia ha estat positiva. Després de només quatre dies de test a València i Jerez, el belga s’ha concentrat a recuperar les sensacions amb la moto per seguir adaptant-se a la categoria reina. A cada sortida ha millorar el seu ritme i la millor notícia és que el seu espatlla ha aguantat perfectament les 47 voltes que ha completat el primer dia.

“Estic molt content d’haver començat la temporada i m’he sentit molt bé sobre la moto. Hem treballat tot el dia amb el pneumàtic del darrere mig i al final hem posat els tou i les sensacions han millorat moltíssim. El problema és que no tenim suficients pneumàtics dels que ens van bé i haurem de gestionar bastant bé en els propers dos dies. Ha estat una pena que quan hem començat a rodar més ràpid ens hem caigut i no he pogut millorar una miqueta més. Però 2’00 després de tot l’hivern sense pujar a la moto està força bé i estic molt content. La caiguda a estat ximple, perquè he entrat massa ràpid en un revolt, però per demà estic tranquil perquè he vist que puc anar ràpid i em sento molt bé amb la moto “.

“M’he trobat força bé, però és cert que m’ha costat acostumar-me de nou a la moto en una pista que és molt diferent a València i Jerez. Però en general crec que hem fet un bon pas, hem treballat tot el dia amb els mateixos pneumàtics i hem muntat un joc nou a falta d’una hora i mitja, però encara no he pogut millorar, les sensacions han estat positives i avui ha anat molt millor del que s’esperava. Demà espero començar des de la base que avui hem creat i millorar una mica més. A deu minuts del final, quan nosaltres havíem parat, tothom ha baixat els temps, però nosaltres no estem ara en aquest punt. L’important de moment és entendre tot, progressar i no cometre errades. Després de tants anys a Moto2 he de canviar moltes coses, però cada volta que dono estic més còmode. També estic content perquè he treballat molt dur aquest hivern perquè la meva espatlla no em molestés i avui no m’ha donat cap problema.”

Al igual que ayer, los pilotos de MotoGP se han encontrado con la pista húmeda tras la lluvia caída por la noche, pero con el sol de Malasia el circuito de Sepang se ha secado rápido y antes del mediodía, los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing han podido subirse a sus motos para seguir trabajando.

Tito Rabat ha vuelto a mejorar en lo que respecta al ritmo de carrera y en comparación con el primer día ha girado casi un segundo más rápido de paso. El ex campeón del mundo de Moto2 ha trabajado muy bien con su equipo técnico y ha bajado más de medio segundo su mejor tiempo del primer día, aunque se ha quedado con las ganas de mejorar un poco más al final. En la última media hora ha montado un neumático Michelin nuevo para atacar al cronómetro, cuando la lluvia ha comenzado a caer sobre el circuito.

Xavier Simeon ha dado también un gran paso adelante en su proceso de adaptación a la categoría de MotoGP. El belga, siguiendo los consejos del equipo y su ‘coach’, Rubén Xaus, va mejorando su estilo y hoy ha mejorado su ritmo en casi un segundo y medio. Su objetivo en la pretemporada no es dar una vuelta rápida, sino aprender lo máximo posible para cuando el Campeonato del Mundo arranque en Qatar el próximo mes de marzo.

“Hoy ha sido un día para probar muchas cosas en la configuración de la moto para ver lo que nos gusta y lo que no nos gusta. Estoy contento porque tenemos claro el camino a seguir y aunque hemos hecho pocas vueltas, todas han sido efectivas y nos han permitido probar lo que queríamos. Para mañana, si esta noche no llueve, la intención es salir pronto para mejorar la vuelta rápida, porque la verdad es que estoy contento con el ritmo que tenemos y porque estoy haciendo tiempos rápidos rodando solo. Habrá que concentrarse para aprovechar al máximo el último día y si todo va bien me gustaría hacer un simulacro de carrera”.

“Estoy muy contento porque hemos dado un paso grande con respecto a ayer, e incluso durante la tarde con neumáticos usados he podido mejorar. Cada vez que salgo a pista me encuentro mejor con la moto, cada vez entiendo mejor los neumáticos, voy cambiando mi posición y poco a poco voy pilotando más al estilo que requiere una MotoGP; levantando la moto lo antes posible e intentado frenar lo más tarde posible, pero sin exagerar. Al final del día hemos montado un neumático blando para probar a mejorar el tiempo y, sinceramente me esperaba mejorar un poco más. Sobre todo viendo cómo los otros pilotos con neumático nuevo daban un gran salto. Esperaba poder hacer lo mismo, pero está claro que todavía me quedan muchas cosas por aprender”.

The 2018 season started for Reale Avintia Racing today at the Sepang International Circuit. Tito Rabat and Xavi Simeon did their first run of the year on wet Michelin tyres due to the morning rain that left the track completely damp. With high humidity and the slow drying asphalt of Sepang, it took a while until the track was completely dry, so the riders had to wait until the afternoon to have normal conditions again.

Tito Rabat worked with the harder compound of Michelin’s allocation for this test throughout the day. The goal was to get the feeling back after two months without riding his Ducati. When he grabbed a new set of soft tyres for the last hour of the day, the Reale Avintia rider immediately improved his pace. Then he crashed at turn 5 and his day was finished. It was a shame because he was fast, his feeling was very good and he felt that was capable to improve his lap times, as all the other riders did in the last part of the day. Nevertheless, he expects to make another step forward tomorrow and continue his positive progression with the Ducati Desmosedici GP17.

For Xavier Simeon, the first day at Malaysia was good. After just four days of testing in Valencia and Jerez, the Belgian rider was focused on recovering the feeling with the bike to continue his adaptation to the premier class. In every exit, he did improved his pace and the best news was that his shoulder, which he injured towards the end of last year’s Moto2 season, didn’t cause any problems and he was able to complete 47 laps.

“I’m very happy to start the season and I felt very good on the bike. We worked all day with the medium rear tyre compound and at the end of the day we mounted the soft one and the feeling improved a lot. The problem is that we don’t have enough tyres and we’ll have to manage it fairly well in the next two days. It was a pity that I crashed when we started to go fast because this stopped me from improving further. But a lap time of 2’00 after the long winter break without riding the bike is pretty good and I’m very happy. The crash was silly, since I simply went too fast in that corner. But for tomorrow, I’m calm because I’ve seen that I can go fast and I feel very good with the bike”.

“I felt quite good today, but it’s true that I found it difficult to get used to the bike again on a track that is very different from Valencia and Jerez. Overall, I think we made a good step. We have been working all day with the same tyres and we just put a new set an hour and a half before the end, but although I haven’t been able to improve the pace, my feeling was good. All in all, today went a lot better than I expected. Tomorrow I hope to start from the base we have established today and improve a little more. Ten minutes from the end, when we had stopped, everyone else improved their times, but we have not reached that point yet. The important thing at the moment is to understand everything, to progress and not to make any mistakes. After so many years in Moto2 I have to change a lot of things, but with every additional lap on this bike, I feel more comfortable. I’m also happy because I worked very hard this winter to get back into shape after my shoulder injury and today the shoulder has not caused me any problem at all”.

El equipo Reale Avintia Racing ha comenzado hoy la temporada 2018 en el Circuito Internacional de Sepang en Malasia. Tito Rabat y Xavi Simeon han salido por primera vez a pista con neumáticos Michelin de agua después de que una tormenta dejara el asfalto mojado antes de comenzar el primer test del año. Con la humedad que hay en Sepang y el nuevo asfalto, la pista ha tardado en secarse y los pilotos de MotoGP no han podido disfrutar de un circuito completamente seco hasta después de comer.

Tito Rabat ha trabajado durante todo el día con la opción de neumáticos más duros de los que Michelin ha traído para estos entrenamientos. El objetivo del equipo y del piloto era recuperar las sensaciones después de dos meses sin subirse en su Ducati. Cuando ha montado los neumáticos blandos en la última hora del test, el piloto del Reale Avintia inmediatamente ha mejorado sus tiempos, pero en esa misma tanda ha sufrido una caída en la curva 5 y el día ha terminado para él. Una lástima porque las sensaciones eran muy buenas y se veía capaz de mejorar, tal como han hecho el resto de pilotos que han podido rodar hasta el final. Aun así mañana espera dar otro paso y seguir con su buena evolución sobre la Ducati Desmosedici GP17.

Para Xavier Simeon la primera jornada en Malasia ha sido positiva. Después de solo cuatro días de test en Valencia y Jerez, el belga se ha concentrado en recuperar las sensaciones con la moto para seguir adaptándose a la categoría reina. En cada salida ha mejorar su ritmo y la mejor noticia es que su hombro ha aguantado perfectamente las 47 vueltas que ha completado el primer día.

“Estoy muy contento de haber empezado la temporada y me he sentido muy bien encima de la moto. Hemos trabajado todo el día con el neumático trasero medio y al final hemos puesto los blando y las sensaciones han mejorado muchísimo. El problema es que no tenemos suficientes neumáticos de los que nos van bien y tendremos que gestionarlo bastante bien en los próximos dos días. Ha sido una pena que cuando hemos comenzado a rodar más rápido nos hemos caído y no he podido mejorar un poquito más. Pero 2’00 después de todo el invierno sin subirme a la moto está bastante bien y estoy muy contento. La caída a sido tonta, porque he entrado demasiado rápido en una curva, pero para mañana estoy tranquilo porque he visto que puedo ir rápido y me siento muy bien con la moto”.

“Me he encontrado bastante bien, pero es cierto que me ha costado acostumbrarme de nuevo a la moto en una pista que es muy diferente a Valencia y Jerez. Pero en general creo que hemos dado un buen paso, hemos trabajado todo el día con los mismos neumáticos y hemos montado un juego nuevo a falta de una hora y media, pero aunque no he podido mejorar las sensaciones han sido positivas y hoy ha ido mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. Mañana espero comenzar desde la base que hoy hemos creado y mejorar lun poco más. A diez minutos del final, cuando nosotros habíamos parado, todo el mundo ha bajado los tiempos, pero nosotros no estamos ahora en ese punto. Lo importante de momento es entender todo, progresar y no cometer errores. Después de tantos años en Moto2 tengo que cambiar muchas cosas, pero cada vuelta que doy estoy más cómodo. También estoy contento porque he trabajado muy duro este invierno para que mi hombro no me molestara y hoy no me ha dado ningún problema”.

Jerez MotoGP Test – Jerez Circuit

Reale Avintia Racing team completed a successful two-days test at Jerez Circuit in Spain. Following the first test in Valencia with the new 2018 riders, Tito Rabat and Xavier Siméon one week ago, the work continued for the Spanish team in the last two days in Jerez.

With sunny and warm conditions, Tito Rabat was one of the fastest riders on track riding his Ducati Desmosedici GP17 with really good pace. The Spaniard sat his fastest lap today in 1’38.387, only 0.5s from the Top 3 and he declared himself very happy with his speed. Rabat was the only MotoGP rider who was able to complete a full race simulation at Jerez and, although he still needs to improve the last few laps, the result was really positive.

During the course of the test he continued discovering the Michelin tyres and the bike, and although losing half a day yesterday due to a crash, he leaves Jerez happy with the job done.

Reale Avintia Racing riders will take a well-deserved break to get back to action in the first winter test of the season at the end of January at Sepang in Malaysia.

“I’m very happy because we have done a great test here in Jerez, I’m competitive and I have seen that I can be quick on one lap, but the most important thing is that I can do it many times and with constant pace. “Yesterday I started very well and had very good feelings with the bike, in fact I inmediately did some good lap times, but halfway through the day I suffered a crash in turn five and lost the rest of the day because the bike was quite damaged. Jerez MotoGP Test – Circuit de Jerez


L’equip Reale Avintia Racing ha completat amb èxit un test de dos dies al circuit de Jerez. Després de l’estrena dels seus nous pilots per a la temporada 2018, Tito Rabat i Xavier Siméon, a València fa una setmana, el treball ha continuat en aquests dies al traçat andalús.

Amb un temps fantàstic i molt de sol, Tito Rabat ha estat un dels protagonistes en aquests dos dies d’entrenaments sobre la seva Ducati Desmosedici GP17. El pilot espanyol ha marcat la seva millor volta en 1’38.387, acabat a menys de mig segon del ‘Top 3’ i molt content amb el seu ritme. Rabat ha estat l’únic pilot de MotoGP a realitzar un simulacre complet de carrera avui a Jerez i, encara que falta millorar les últimes voltes, el resultat ha estat molt positiu.

Per a Xavier Siméon també han estat dos bons dies de test. El pilot belga està en ple procés d’adaptació a la categoria de MotoGP i a Jerez ha treballat molt amb el seu ‘coach’ Rubén Xaus per millorar la seva posició sobre de la moto i adaptar-la a l’estil que exigeix la Ducati GP16. També ha seguit descobrint el comportament dels pneumàtics Michelin i, tot i perdre mig dia després de caure ahir dimecres, se’n va de Jerez satisfet amb la feina i els progressos realitzats.

Ara els pilots del Reale Avintia Racing es prendran un merescut descans per tornar al màxim als primers entrenaments de pretemporada a finals del proper mes de gener a Sepang, Malàisia.

“Estic molt content i hem fet un gran test aquí a Jerez. Sóc competitiu i he vist que puc ser ràpid a una volta, però el més important, és que puc fer-ho moltes vegades i de manera constant. La moto m’encanta, l’equip és molt competitiu i estic molt en forma. Estic súper content, però també hi ha punts en què hem de treballar i, aquí són les últimes cinc voltes de carrera. Però si milloro amb el gas, podem donar un gran pas. Aquí he provat les ales i m’han encantat, depenent del pilot van millor o pitjor, però en el meu cas em permeten concentrar-me encara més a la corba i no crec que les tregui. Ara toca treballar durant l’aturada per arribar fort i amb moltes ganes a Sepang. Vaig a fer bici, gimnàs, moto i a més tenim algunes carreres amb ‘Julito’ (Simón), de manera que espero que passi ràpid”.

“Ahir vaig començar molt bé i tenia molt bones sensacions amb la moto, de fet vaig fer directament bons temps, però a meitat de dia vaig patir una caiguda en el revolt 5 i vaig perdre la resta del dia perquè la moto va quedar bastant malmesa. Però l’equip ha fet un gran treball per reparar-la i avui m’he pres les coses amb més calma; era important donar moltes voltes. De seguida he igualat els temps d’ahir, però després m’ha costat millorar la tarda. A les 20 últimes voltes hem baixat el ritme i en general estic content. El que tinc clar és que em falta molt per aconseguir canviar el meu estil per treure el millor de la moto. Ara toca descansar i recuperar perquè amb tots els ossos que m’he trencat darrerament he notat que estic baix de forma física al final del dia. He de preparar-me i recuperar-me al màxim per arribar al màxim a Malàisia”.
