Andorra ha sido el escenario ideal para una presentación de altura, la del equipo Reale Avintia Racing, que esta temporada contará de nuevo con Héctor Barberá y Loris Baz que correrán con Ducati.

El Circuito de Andorra ha acogido a prensa e invitados que han asistido a una espectacular puesta en escena. La Ducati del Reale Avintia Racing ha llegado en helicóptero hasta los más de 2500 metros de altitud donde estaban esperando Héctor Barberá y Loris Baz.

Héctor Barberá ha confirmado que no estará en el test de Qatar a finales de esta semana para poder recuperarse al máximo antes de la primera carrera.

Sí estará en Losail Loris Baz, quien confía en seguir progresando para llegar al máximo a la primera carrera del año el próximo 26 de marzo

La presentación del equipo Reale Avintia Racing ha concluido con una exhibición a cargo de Emilio Zamora, quien por unos momentos ha “engañado” a todos los presentes, haciéndoles creer que quien llevaba la moto era Héctor Barberá. La prensa y los invitados que han asistido a la presentación han podido disfrutar de diversas actividades en el hielo del circuito de Andorra.

“La lesión ha llegado en el peor momento y no estaré en el próximo test de Qatar. No tiene sentido arriesgar con la primera carrera tan próxima, es mejor recuperarme totalmente para llegar preparado. La verdad es que después de los problemas que hemos tenido en la pretemporada esto ha sido lo peor que nos podía pasar, pero hay que ser positivo, porque estaré bien para cuando empiece el campeonato. El equipo se ha reforzado este año con la llegada de Reale que junto Avintia y los demás patrocinadores, como siempre nos apoyarán al máximo. La presentación ha sido una pasada y la moto ha quedado preciosa. Ahora solo falta que todo vaya bien desde la primera carrera para luchar por estar entre los cinco primeros, o lo más cerca que podamos.”

“El equipo cada año se supera con las presentaciones, el año pasado pude rodar en la nieve y esta vez con la llegada de la moto en helicóptero y la actuación de Emilio simulando que era Héctor ha sido genial. La moto ha quedado preciosa con los nuevos colores y estoy deseando volver a subirme en ella el viernes para empezar los test en Qatar y preparar al máximo la primera carrera. El año pasado no fue como yo quería, pero con la nueva moto me he encontrado bien desde el primer test y creo que podemos pelear por estar entre los diez primeros en muchas carreras.”

El pilot de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá, ha estat intervingut amb èxit d’una fractura a la clavícula esquerra. L’operació ha estat portada a terme pel Dr. Xavier Mir, a l’Hospital Universitari Dexeus de Barcelona. Barberà presentava una fractura del terç mitjà de la clavícula esquerra amb cinc fragments ossis i el Dr. Mir ha necessitat una hora i mitja per col·locar una placa de titani amb 6 orificis i fixar els tres fragments més petits amb cargols de petits fragments. Ha estat una intervenció complicada perquè tenia un antic call d’una fractura anterior en la mateixa clavícula que el pilot es va produir en la seva adolescència.

El pilot valencià va patir una caiguda ahir dimecres mentre entrenava amb una moto de mitjana cilindrada a les pistes de l’escola del Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo i va viatjar directament a Barcelona.Héctor Barberá romandrà ingressat 48 hores i podrà començar la rehabilitació en 4 o 5 dies.

La seva participació en el test de Qatar la setmana que encara està en dubte, però segur que no tindrà problemes per disputar el primer Gran Premi de la temporada 2017 a Qatar del 23 al 26 de març.

Els pilots de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá i Loris Baz, han completat el tercer i últim dia d’entrenaments oficials de MotoGP al circuit australià de Phillip Island. Després de dos dies complicats, en què la manca de confiança en el tren davanter ha condicionat els pilots, avui han fet un pas endavant amb la posada a punt de les seves Ducati.

Héctor Barberá ha donat 83 voltes avui, i ha parat el cronòmetre en 1’29.791, el 15è millor temps del dia, el 16è en la classificació combinada dels tres dies i 0.543s d’Andrea Dovizioso, la Ducati més ràpida en aquests entrenaments.

També Loris Baz ha millorat avui a Phillip Island. El pilot francès de 24 anys ha treballat moltíssim en aquests tres dies per tenir el feeling amb la roda davantera de la seva Desmosedici GP15 i, avui finalment, ha trobat el camí. L’últim test de la pretemporada tindrà lloc a Qatar del 10 al 12 de març i allà esperen donar un altre pas més.

“Al final d’aquests tres dies el més positiu és que avui hem trobat el camí. A falta de dues hores hem tocat la tecla i he començat a sentir-me bé i a rodar ràpid, però sobretot a tenir bon feeling. He estat molt atabalat perquè ja ens va passar això a Malàisia i des que vaig pujar en aquesta moto sempre he tingut aquestes sensacions. Per fi hem trobat la solució! He començat a sentir-me bé, a divertir-me i pilotar la moto, però han estat només dues hores i al final no teníem més pneumàtics per buscar un temps. Però amb un pneumàtic amb set voltes he pogut millorar bastant i crec que amb un de nou hauríem rodat en 29 baixos sense problemes. Així que al final ens anem contents, ara toca preparar-se bé aquests dies per arribar a Qatar al màxim.”

“Han estat tres dies complicats però avui al final hem trobat alguna cosa. Hem millorat poc a poc fins rodar a 29 i ja no estem tan lluny, però sobretot estic content perquè hem trobat el camí, i no ha estat fàcil. En general em vaig de Phillip Island satisfet, perquè hem provat moltíssimes coses i l’equip ha treballat molt bé. El meu tècnic Paolo ha fet les coses justes i al final almenys ens anem amb una direcció clara. Crec que amb un pneumàtic nou fins i tot podríem haver baixat una mica més el temps, així que em vaig content, molt més del que estava fins avui a les dues de la tarda.”

Reale Avintia Racing rider Hector Barbera underwent successful surgery today in Barcelona. The surgery, performed by doctor Xavier Mir – Head of the Upper Extremities Surgery and Microsurgery Unit of the Hospital Universitario Dexeus and Head of Traumatology for MotoGP – was a success. Barbera had a fracture of the middle third of his left collarbone with five fragments and Dr. Mir needed one hour and a half to place a 6-hole titanium plate and fix the three smaller fragments with screws of small fragments. It was a difficult operation because and old callus from a previous fracture in the same collarbone, occurred in his teens.

The MotoGP rider crashes yesterday while he was training with a small bike at Circuit de la Comunidad Valenciana Ricardo Tormo test circuits and immediately travelled to Barcelona.

Héctor Barberá will stay in the hospital for 48 hours and he will be able to begin rehabilitation in 4 or 5 days. His participation in the Qatar test next week is still in doubt, but he will certainly have no problem to race in the first Grand Prix of the 2017 season in Qatar from 23 to 26 March.

Action will resume in Qatar next month for Barbera and Baz, with the last test of the preseason at Losail International Circuit from March 10^th.

“The most positive after three days is that today we finally found the way. With two hours to go we touched the key and I began to feel good on the bike and I was faster, but the best is that my feeling is back. I have been very overwhelmed because this happened in Malaysia and every time since I got on this bike. We have finally found the solution! I started to feel good straight away, having fun riding the bike, but this was only for two hours and in the end we didn’t have any more tyres to try a flying lap. At the end I was able to improve a lot with a seven-lap-tyre, and I think that with fresh tyres it was possible to lap in 29 lows. So in the end we are happy. Now it is time to prepare well before the next test in Qatar.”

“It has been a difficult three days but today we found something. We have improved little by little to lap in 29 and we are not so far, but I am happy because we have found the way, and it has not been easy. Overall I leave Phillip Island satisfied, because we tried a lot of things and the team did a great job. My crew chief, Paolo did the right things and in the end of the day we leave with a clear direction. I think that I could go even faster with a new tyre at the end, so I’m happy, much more than I was until today at lunch time.”

El piloto del equipo Reale Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá, ha sido intervenido con éxito de una fractura en su clavícula izquierda. La operación ha sido llevada a cabo por el Dr. Xavier Mir, en el Hospital Universitario Dexeus de Barcelona. Barberá presentaba una fractura del tercio medio de la clavícula izquierda con cinco fragmentos óseos y el Dr. Mir ha necesitado una hora y media para colocar una placa de titanio con 6 orificios y fijar los tres fragmentos sueltos con tornillos de pequeños fragmentos. Ha sido una intervención complicada porque tenía un antiguo callo de una fractura anterior en la misma clavícula que el piloto se produjo en su adolescencia.

El piloto valenciano sufrió una caída ayer miércoles mientras entrenaba con una moto de media cilindrada en las pistas de la escuela del Circuit de la Comunidad Valenciana Ricardo Tormo y viajó directamente a Barcelona.

Héctor Barberá permanecerá ingresado 48 horas y podrá comenzar la rehabilitación en 4 ó 5 días. Su participación en el test de Qatar la próxima semana todavía está en duda, pero seguro que no tendrá problemas para disputar el primer Gran Premio de la temporada 2017 en Qatar del 23 al 26 de marzo.

Después de dos días complicados, en los que la falta de confianza en el tren delantero ha condicionado a los pilotos, hoy han dado un paso adelante con la puesta a punto de sus Ducati.

Héctor Barberá ha dado 83 vueltas hoy, y ha parado el cronómetro en 1’29.791, el 15º mejor tiempo del día, el 16º en la clasificación combinada de los tres días y 0.543s de Andrea Dovizioso, la Ducati más rápida en estos entrenamientos.

También Loris Baz ha mejorado hoy en Phillip Island. El piloto francés de 24 años ha trabajado muchísimo en estos tres días para tener el feeling con la rueda delantera de su Desmosedici GP15 y, hoy finalmente, ha encontrado el camino. El último test de la pretemporada tendrá lugar en Qatar del 10 al 12 de marzo y allí esperan dar otro paso más.

“Al final de estos tres días lo más positivo es que hoy hemos encontrado el camino. A falta de dos horas hemos tocado la tecla y he empezado a sentirme bien y a rodar rápido, pero sobre todo a tener buen feeling. He estado muy agobiado porque ya nos pasó esto en Malasia y desde que me subí en esta moto siempre he tenido esas sensaciones. ¡Por fin hemos dado con la solución! He comenzado a sentirme bien, a divertirme y pilotar la moto, pero han sido solo dos horas y al final no teníamos más neumáticos para buscar un tiempo. Pero con un neumático con siete vueltas he podido mejorar bastante y creo que con uno nuevo habríamos rodado en 29 bajos sin problemas. Así que al final nos vamos contentos, ahora toca prepararse bien estos días para llegar a Qatar a tope.”

“Han sido tres días complicados pero hoy al final hemos encontrado algo. Hemos mejorado poco a poco hasta rodar en 29 y ya no estamos tan lejos, pero sobre todo estoy contento porque hemos encontrado el camino, y no ha sido fácil. En general me voy de Phillip Island satisfecho, porque hemos probado muchísimas cosas y el equipo ha trabajado muy bien. Mi técnico Paolo ha hecho las cosas justas y al final por lo menos nos vamos con una dirección clara. Creo que con un neumático nuevo incluso podríamos haber bajado un poco más el tiempo, así que me voy contento, mucho más de lo que estaba hasta hoy a las dos de la tarde.”

The first test of the 2017 preseason has ended today at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia with Héctor Barberá and Loris Baz in 16^th and 20^th place in the combined time sheets after three days. Even though there is still a lot of work left to find the perfect feeling with their bikes before the first race, the test at Sepang has all in all been very positive .

Héctor Barberá had a crash with one hour to go and was left without a chance for a final time attack to improve his lap time. The Valencian rider lost the front on turn 5 at more than 170 km/h, but fortunately he walked away without injuries. The front end was a critical point on his Ducati Desmosedici GP16 over the three days of testing and he needs to continue to work before the first in race in Qatar on March 26^th. There are three more testing days scheduled at Phillip Island this month and another three at Losail in early March.

His teammate Loris Baz improved on the last day and finished just 1.5s behind Maverick Viñales, the fastest rider in Sepang. Baz also has work left to do in Australia, but his first impressions of the Ducati Desmosedici GP15 were good.

All MotoGP riders will return to action at Phillip Island in two weeks, with three more days of testing to further adapt to their new bikes.

“I don’t have enough feedback from the front of the bike and at the moment I don’t have the feeling that I would like. That’s the biggest limit I have right now. We’ve been trying many things and I’ve tried to push at the maximum, but at the end I crashed. I normally don’t crash often, but things are different with this bike. I also crashed when I raced it with the Ducati Team last season, I lost the front in both races and today it was the same again. We have to work to improve the feeling with the front. We are trying to work like last year, but this is a completely different bike and we have to reset for the next test in Australia. As far as lap times go, we are just a second behind the fastest rider, which is not so bad. Now we have to find the right direction at Phillip Island and keep improving to be ready for the first race.”

“Overall the test was good. Yesterday we tried several things that were not going as we expected, but today everything went much better and I am happy. I improved my lap times with a tyre that had more than ten laps. It also was at midday when it was very hot, so I think our result is positive. We are not far away and except from the second day, the feeling with the bike was very good. Now we’ll see how things develop in Australia. Phillip Island is my favourite circuit and we still have a lot of things to try, but I’m leaving Sepang, a track that is one of the most difficult for me, quite happy. We still have to continue working on my riding style to be smoother, and we also have to work with the bike to be faster with a full tank, which at the moment it still a little bit difficult.”

El primer test de la pretemporada 2017 ha terminado hoy en el Circuito Internacional de Sepang en Malasia, con Héctor Barberá y Loris Baz en 16ª y 20ª posición, combinando los tiempos de los tres días. Pero aunque todavía queda mucho trabajo para encontrar el feeling perfecto con sus motos antes de la primera carrera, en general los tres días en Sepang han sido bastante positivos.

Héctor Barberá se ha quedado con las ganas de mejorar un poco sus tiempos al sufrir una caída cuando quedaba una hora para terminar la sesión de la tarde. El piloto de Dos Aguas ha perdido la rueda delantera en la curva 5 a más de 170 km/h, pero afortunadamente no ha tenido consecuencias físicas. El tren delantero de su Ducati Desmosedici GP16 es precisamente el punto donde más hay que trabajar antes de llegar a la primera en Qatar el próximo 26 de marzo. Y para ello todavía contará con tres días más de test en Phillip Island este mes, y otros tres en Losail a principios del mes de marzo.

Su compañero Loris Baz ha mejorado en la última jornada y ha terminado a 1.5s de Maverick Viñales, el más rápido en Sepang. Baz todavía tiene trabajo por delante en Australia, pero las primeras sensaciones con la Ducati Desmosedici GP15 han sido bastante buenas.

En dos semanas los pilotos de MotoGP volverán a la acción en Phillip Island, donde contarán con otros tres días de entrenamientos para seguir adaptándose a sus nuevas motos.

“La verdad es que no acabo de encontrarme con el tren delantero de la moto y no termino de encontrar el feeling que me gustaría. Ese es el mayor límite que tengo ahora mismo. Hemos estado probando muchas cosas y yo he tratado de apretar todo lo posible, pero he terminado cayéndome, y yo no soy un piloto que se caiga mucho. Pero con esta moto, ya cuando debuté con ella el año pasado con Ducati sufrí dos caída de delante en carrera, y hoy me he vuelto a caer igual. Tenemos que trabajar en ello para mejorar las sensaciones con la parte delantera. Estamos intentando buscar los valores de la moto del año pasado, pero esta es una moto completamente diferente y tenemos que cambiar el chip y resetear para el próximo test en Australia. Estamos a un segundo yendo mal y los test están para probar y mejorar. Tenemos que encontrar el camino en Phillip Island y seguir mejorando para llegar a tope a la primera carrera.”

“En general creo que los test no han ido mal. Ayer probamos varias cosas que no iban como esperábamos, pero hoy ha ido todo mucho mejor y estoy contento. He bajado mis tiempos con un neumático que tenía más de diez vueltas y cuando hacía más calor, por eso creo que es positivo, porque no estamos muy lejos y quitando el segundo día, las sensaciones con la moto han sido muy buenas. Ahora veremos cómo va en Australia, es mi circuito favorito y todavía tenemos bastantes cosas que probar, pero me voy contento de Sepang, una pista que es de las más difíciles para mí. Tendremos que seguir trabajando en mi estilo de pilotaje para ser más suave, y también tenemos que trabajar con la moto con depósito lleno para ser más rápidos, porque de momento me cuesta un poco.”

Avintia Racing riders Hector Barbera and Loris Baz concluded Jerez test ahead of schedule. Despite rain forecasts, the sun has shone on the Andalusian track in the first two days of testing, where several Ducati teams, plus Aprilia, Suzuki, KTM and Honda have come to Jerez to complete a three-day test, the last of 2016 season.

“I am very happy because I have not had such good feelings with the bike for a long time. I think we have done two very good days of work, little by little I am getting confidence with the bike and this test has been very positive. We have tried a lot of things and we have a really fast pace, and today I did a very fast lap, although it could be better. But I’m happy because enjoyed riding my bike, now I can push hard with confidence and I understand what the bike and the tyres do. It has been a very positive test and I go with a relaxed brain to the winter break, because it has been a very difficult year, with a lot of doubts, so ending like this is fantastic.”

“I finished the last test of the year with a bittersweet taste. On the one hand, we could confirm the great potential of this bike and we have also tried several new Michelin front tyres that I really liked. But I am not happy enough, because in Valencia we had an issue with the gear box, and here happened again. I was forced to stop at three and I have not been able to do many laps today; I’ve spent all morning testing tyres, and when it was time to put fresh rubber for the time attack we had this problem. I wont have the second bike until the first test next year, and therefore, we were forced to finish the test ahead of schedule. I hope that in Malaysia everything works properly, because in the two races I did with the Ducati Team we did not have any issues, but we have had them in the last two test. I trust Ducati and I’m sure they will help us to get the full potential of my GP16”.
