Avintia Racing riders started yesterday at Valencia the preparations for 2017 season and the first conclusions after two days of testing have been vey positive. Both riders started to work with the bike they will be racing next year, the Ducati Desmosecidi GP 2016 for Hector Barbera and the 2015 model for Loris Baz. Both had good feelings and they think the potential of the new machines is enormous.

Hector Barbera focused on working his position on the bike and together with his crew he tried to adapt it to his riding style more than trying to do a fast lap. He was ninth overall the first day just 0.3s from the fastest pace, while was fifteenth today. The Spaniard only worked with the softer compound rear Michelin tyre, because the track temperatures didn’t aloud him to use the hard compound on his Ducati during the course of the test. He had positive feelings and he is looking forward to improve next week in Jerez.

Loris Baz finished the two days of testing in Valencia with a big smile on his face. He had a new bike, but also a new crew chief, Paolo Zavalloni, and the first impression working together has been really positive. He found the bike very competitive and as his teammate feels there is a big potential to explore during the winter test.

“This has been a very positive test because we were able to work in my riding position on the bike and the feeling was better every time I went out on track. The pace was fast and consistent, and although maybe we failed to do a really fast lap, I’m happy with the improvement made during these two days. Four tyres for two days are not so much, and the hardest Michelin tyre was too hard for the track conditions and our bike. I knew the bike thank to the races I did in Japan and Australia, and I confirmed that this bike has a big potential. The preseason has just started and now we’ll go to Jerez for another test of three days, where I will try to get more information. We also saw riders changing teams and some new people, and I think we will have even more fun during next season.”

“I’m happy, because this has been a really good test and a good way to start. But mainly because with this bike we solved the problems we have been fighting with during all the season. We also understand why we struggled and basically it is because this bike is better, you can easily keep a constant pace and this one of the main problems we had last season. I also had the chance to work for the first time with my new crew chief, Paolo, and we started to know each other better. The first feeling was good and this was also positive. Finally we finished the year in good mood, although we had to wait for next season preparations. We will see how it goes in Jerez next week, where I hope to make a step forward.”

Los pilotos de Avintia Racing han comenzado los preparativos para le temporada 2017 en Valencia y las conclusiones han sido muy positivas. Los dos pilotos han podido estrenar las motos con las que competirán la próxima temporada, la Ducati Desmosedici GP 2016, Héctor Barberá, y la 2015 Loris Baz. Las sensaciones con las nuevas motos han sido muy positivas y los dos han destacado el potencial de sus nuevas monturas.

Héctor Barberá se ha centrado en trabajar en la posición sobre la moto y conocerla mejor más que en buscar una vuelta rápida. El primer día terminó noveno a solo tres décimas del primero, mientras que hoy ha sido decimo quinto a poco más de un segundo. El español solo ha usado los cuatro neumáticos de compuesto blando que Michelin había traído para estos dos días de entrenamientos, ya que la temperatura nunca le ha permitido rodar con el compuesto más duro. Pero en general las sensaciones han sido positivas y espera dar otro paso en Jerez la próxima semana.

Loris Baz ha vuelto a sonreír después de estos dos días en Valencia. Además de moto, el francés ha estrenado técnico, Paolo Zavalloni, y todo ha funcionado muy bien. Como Héctor cree que la moto tiene muchísimo potencial y la primera toma de contacto no ha podido ser más positiva.

“Han sido dos días bastante positivos porque hemos hecho bastantes pruebas para encontrarme cada vez mejor sobre la nueva moto. Hemos tenido un ritmo muy constante y aunque al final nos ha faltado hacer una vuelta rápida, estoy contento con el trabajo que hemos hecho. Cuatro neumáticos para dos días son muy pocos, y la opción dura de Michelin no la hemos podido utilizar. La moto ya la conocía de las carreras que hice en Japón y Australia, y he podido confirmar que funciona muy bien y tiene muchísimo potencial. En estos dos días nos hemos centrado en adaptarme a la moto y coger feeling. Acabamos de empezar y ahora tenemos otros tres días en Jerez donde espero sacar más conclusiones- También hemos visto muchas novedades y cambios, y en general creo que la próxima temporada va a ser muy divertida porque ha subido mucho el nivel.”

“Estoy contento porque el test ha ido bastante bien y sobre todo porque los problemas que hemos tenido durante toda la temporada han desaparecido prácticamente por completo con esta moto y también hemos comprendido el por qué, y básicamente es que la moto es mejor, además te permite ser más constante con los tiempos, algo que nos ha costado mucho este año. También he estrenado nuevo jefe de mecánicos, Paolo, y aunque nos conocemos poco nos hemos entendido bastante bien y estoy contento. Por fin hemos sacado conclusiones positivas en seco este año, aunque haya sido preparando el que viene. A ver cómo va la semana que viene en Jerez donde espero dar otro paso adelante.”

Los pilotos de Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá y Loris Baz, han completado dos positivos días de test en el circuito de Jerez. A pesar de las previsiones que de lluvia, el sol ha brillado en el trazado andaluz en las dos primeras jornadas de entrenamientos, donde varios equipos Ducati, más Aprilia, Suzuki, KTM y Honda se han dado cita para completar tres días de test para concluir la temporada 2016 de MotoGP.

Héctor Barberá fue el más rápido ayer sobre su Ducati Desmosedici GP 2016, pero hoy ha terminado antes de lo previsto por un problema mecánico. El valenciano se ha quedado con las ganas de mejorar sus tiempos con neumáticos nuevos, pero aun así sus sensaciones han sido muy buenas, y cuando regrese a la acción a finales del mes de enero en Malasia, espera contar con un mayor apoyo de Ducati para poder seguir avanzando con su adaptación a la nueva moto.

Loris Baz ha terminado rodando muy rápido y está encantado con su nueva moto y con su nuevo técnico. La adaptación del piloto francés a la Desmosedici GP15 ha sido muy buena, y después de una temporada complicada llega al parón invernal con una sonrisa en su cara.

“Estoy muy contento, porque hacía mucho tiempo que no tenía tan buenas sensaciones sobre la moto. Creo que hemos hecho dos días muy buenos de trabajo, poco a poco voy cogiendo confianza con la moto y ha sido muy positivo. Hemos probado muchas cosas y hemos rodado con un ritmo muy rápido, y hoy he dado una vuelta muy rápida, aunque se podía hacer mejor. Pero estoy contento porque he vuelto a divertirme encima de la moto, ahora puedo empujar con confianza y entiendo lo que hace la moto y los neumáticos. Ha sido un test muy positivo y me voy con el cerebro relajado para este invierno, porque ha sido un año muy complicado, con muchas dudas y terminar así es fantástico.”

“Me voy de los últimos test del año con un sabor un poco agridulce. Por un lado, hemos vuelto a comprobar el gran potencial que tiene esta moto y también hemos probado varios nuevos neumáticos Michelin delanteros que me han gustado mucho. Pero me voy disgustado, porque en Valencia ya se rompió algo en el cambio, y aquí ha vuelto a pasar. He parado de rodar a las tres de la tarde y no he podio dar muchas vueltas; he pasado toda la mañana probando neumáticos, y cuando era la hora de montar gomas nuevas y bajar los tiempos hemos tenido este problema. Hasta el primer test del año que viene no tendremos la segunda moto, y por eso, hemos terminado los entrenamientos antes de lo previsto. Espero que en Malasia se haya solucionado todo, porque en las dos carreras que hice con Ducati no tuvimos ningún problema, y ahora en dos test los hemos tenido. Confío en Ducati y seguro que nos ayudarán para poder sacar todo el potencial de mi GP16.”

Los pilotos de Avintia Racing han puesto el broche final al Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP 2016 hoy en Valencia. Héctor Barberá ha luchado durante toda la carrera para terminar entre los diez primeros y a punto a estado de conseguirlo tras una intensa batalla en las últimas vueltas con Álvaro Bautista, aunque finalmente ha cruzado la meta undécimo. Pero se ha asegurado los puntos necesarios para conseguir terminar el campeonato en el Top 10, cumpliendo así el objetivo que se había marcado antes de empezar la temporada en Qatar.

Loris Baz ha vuelto a sufrir problemas con los neumáticos, primero con el delantero al inicio de la carrera, y después con falta de agarre en el trasero en las últimas vueltas. Pero el piloto francés de Avintia Racing ha terminado la carrera y un campeonato que ha sido bastante complicado debido a las lesiones.

El martes los pilotos de Avintia Racing comenzarán los preparativos para 2017 en este mismo escenario. Héctor Barberá tendrá la ocasión de conocer mejor la Ducati Desmosedici GP 2016 con la que corrió en Japón y Australia, mientras que Loris Baz se estrenará con la GP15, una moto más evolucionada con la que espera encontrar rápido buenas sensaciones para la próxima temporada.

“Siempre habíamos hablado de quedar en el Top 10, exactamente entre el quinto y el décimo, pero siendo sinceros, esas posiciones eran prácticamente imposibles. Si hacemos el recuento de todos los equipos oficiales, nuestra moto debería estar en el 14º o 15º puesto. Hemos sumado 102 puntos, a pesar de no haber puntuado en las dos carreras que estuve en el equipo Ducati oficial, con lo que podríamos haber terminado novenos en la general. Se ha hecho un grandísimo trabajo, hemos dejado a la Suzuki de Aleix Espargaró detrás, también a Bradley Smith, y muchas motos buenas. Teníamos una moto de tercera, pero el equipo ha estado al nivel de primera. Yo he hecho lo máximo que ha estado en mis manos: dos quintos, un cuarto, un sexto, muy buenos resultados. La palabra equipo ha cobrado mucha importancia este año, salgo muy reforzado, con muchas lecciones aprendidas y el martes arrancaremos un año mejor. Doy las gracias a todos lo que han creído en mí y han hecho que todo esto sea posible.”

“Ha sido una carrera complicada. En la primera parte he tenido muchos problemas con la parte delantera de la moto y después con el neumático trasero. Además, he terminado bastante cansado. Lo positivo es que, lo que logramos ayer parece que ha funcionado. Aún así,  hay mucho trabajo que hacer para llegar a hacerlo todo de forma más natural, sin forzar tanto. Tengo ganas de empezar los tests de cara a la nueva temporada. Pero también estoy deseando que me operen el pie a finales de noviembre y así comenzar el próximo año en forma. Mi cuerpo está cansado esta temporada y necesito empezar con fuerza. Hemos comprobado que no sirve de nada ir rápido en el primer test, que lo que cuentan son las carreras. Necesito coger confianza e ir evolucionando poco a poco. Lo importante comenzará en marzo en Qatar.”

The Avintia Racing riders have put the finishing on the 2016 MotoGP World Championship today at Valencia. Hector Barbera has been fighting the whole race to finish tenth, and he was really close to getting this place after an intense battle with Alvaro Bautista during the last few laps of the race. He was finally eleventh and secured the Top 10 in the championship standings. With this, he reached the target he had set before starting the season in Qatar.

Loris Baz struggled again with the tyres. He suffered some grip issues on the front in the first laps, and then problems started with the rear tyre as well. But the brave French rider finished the race and also a championship that has been tough for him due to injuries and a lack of feeling with the bike.

The Avintia Racing riders will begin the preparations for 2017 on Tuesday. “We always said that our target was to finish the championship between fifth and tenth, but being realistic, this was almost impossible. But anyway we did a great job this year, and some riders like Suzuki’s Aleix Espargaro or Bradley Smith are behind us. We had a third division bike, but the team was playing in the premier league. I always did my best, I got two fifth places, one fourth place, sixth… really good results. The word team was very important this year, I learned a lot and I also matured as a rider. “It was a really difficult race. In the first half I struggled with the front end, and then towards the end, it was the lack of grip on the rear what made things difficult for me. I also finished the race exhausted. Positive is that what we found yesterday seems to work. Anyway, we need to work so I can ride the bike without fighting in every lap. I’m looking forward to test on Tuesday and to start the new season. But I’m also ready to get surgery next month and be completely fit and ready for next season. My body is tired after this season and I need to start the next one in full strength. I learned one thing this year, and it is that being fast in the winter doesn’t count, the races are the important thing. I need to build my confidence and improve step by step before the championship starts in March at Qatar.”

Els pilots d’Avintia Racing han posat el punt i final al Campionat del Món de MotoGP 2016 avui a València. L’Héctor Barberá ha lluitat durant tota la cursa per acabar entre els deu primers i a punt ha estat d’aconseguir-ho després d’una intensa batalla en les últimes voltes amb l’Álvaro Bautista, encara que finalment ha creuat la meta onzè. Però s’ha assegurat els punts necessaris per aconseguir acabar el campionat al Top 10, complint així l’objectiu que s’havia marcat abans de començar la temporada a Qatar.

En Loris Baz ha tornat a tenir problemes amb els pneumàtics, primer amb el davanter a l’inici de la cursa, i després amb falta d’adherència al darrere a les últimes voltes. Però el pilot francès d’Avintia Racing ha acabat la carrera i un campionat que ha estat força complicat a causa de les lesions.

Dimarts els pilots d’Avintia Racing començaran els preparatius per a 2017 en aquest mateix escenari. L’Héctor Barberá tindrà l’ocasió de conèixer millor la Ducati Desmosedici GP 2016 amb la qual va córrer al Japó i Austràlia, mentre que en Loris Baz s’estrenarà amb la GP15, una moto més evolucionada amb la qual espera trobar ràpid bones sensacions per a la propera temporada.

“Ha estat una cursa complicada. A la primera part he tingut molts problemes amb la part davantera de la moto i després amb el pneumàtic del darrere. A més, he acabat bastant cansat. La part positiva és que, el que vam aconseguir ahir sembla que ha funcionat. Tot i així, hi ha molta feina a fer per arribar a fer-ho tot de forma més natural, sense forçar tant. Tinc ganes de començar els tests de cara a la nova temporada. Però també estic desitjant que m’operin el peu a finals de novembre i així començar l’any que ve en forma. El meu cos està cansat d’aquesta temporada i necessito començar amb força. Hem comprovat que no serveix de res anar ràpid en el primer test, que el que compten són les carreres. Necessito agafar confiança i anar evolucionant a poc a poc. L’important començarà al març a Qatar. ”

Avintia Racing matched its best result in the team’s history today at the Malaysian Grand Prix, with Héctor Barberá in fourth and his team-mate Loris Baz in fifth place. Just before the start, another tropical storm came down over the Sepang track and it rained so heavily that the MotoGP start had to be delayed by 15 minutes. For the Avintia riders, the water on the track was good news, because after their great performances in qualifying on Saturday, both Héctor Barberá and Loris Baz preferred to have a wet race. After a cautious start, the Avintia Racing riders started to pass other riders and recover positions, with Baz leading the pair. But when the amount of water on the tarmac got less in the closing stages of the race, Barberá got stronger, took advantage of the changing conditions and went ahead of his team-mate to cross the finish line in fourth place. It was his best result since his MotoGP debut in 2010.

Loris Baz, who had the roles reversed and been fourth ahead of Barberá at the Czech Republic Grand Prix back in August, finished the race in fifth place. Even though he dropped behind Barberá, this result is worth gold for the Frenchman, who had struggled for a number of races to find back to his confidence, which he had lost due to several injuries.

The overseas triple of races offered everything for Team Avintia Racing, from Barberá’s adventure riding the official Ducati to the remarkable MotoGP debut of Mike jones and the joy of all team members with this fantastic result at Sepang. There is no better way for Barberá to return to Spain, where he will go into the final race of the season at Valencia with extra motivation.

“I’m really happy because this fourth place is incredible and also my best result in MotoGP ever. After two difficult races in Japan and Australia I really needed this result to get a boost of confidence and energy before my home race in Valencia. There is no doubt that this result came in the right moment. But although I’m very happy for myself, I’m also extremely happy for my teammate Loris, because he needed it even more than me. This result is fantastic for the whole team. We are showing this season that with hard work, big efforts and huge passion you can achieve important things. Avintia is the best example, because we don’t have the resources of many teams, but in passion we are world champions. We are in the top ten after 17 races, ahead of many factory bikes, and we go to Valencia determined to give our best again to close this fantastic season with the best possible result.”

“Before the race I was praying for rain, because the last three weeks have been really tough for me. After this weekend, we go back home with a big smile on our faces. If we look at the dry track time I’ve spent this year riding my bike, it is obvious that I’m far away from the pace, so I needed some confidence and you can only get that fighting and working hard every single day. But this result is what we were looking for to get a boost of morale and work even harder. This has been a really good race and I enjoyed battling with Hector. It was also an amazing result for the team. The race was difficult because with less water on the track my rear tyre was overheating, so this top five is fantastic. Valencia is my team’s home race and feels also like a home race to me as I have a house close to the circuit, so we will try to keep the momentum and fight for the best.”

El equipo Avintia Racing ha igualado su mejor resultado de la historia hoy en el Gran Premio de Malasia, con Héctor Barberá cuarto y su compañero Loris Baz quinto. La lluvia ha vuelto a aparecer hoy en Sepang justo antes de la carrera, y lo ha hecho con tanta fuerza que la salida de la carrera de MotoGP se ha visto retrasada. Para los pilotos de Avintia Racing la lluvia ha sido un buen aliado, porque después de su gran rendimiento ayer en los entrenamientos cronometrados, tanto Héctor Barberá como Loris Baz querían una carrera en mojado. Tras comenzar la carrera con cierta precaución, los pilotos de Avintia Racing han ido superando a sus rivales con Baz a la cabeza, pero cuando a pocas vueltas el nivel de agua en pista ha ido bajando, Barberá ha aprovechado para colocarse delante y cruzar la meta en cuarta posición, su mejor resultado desde que debutó en MotoGP en 2010.

Loris Baz, quien fue cuarto por delante de Barberá en el Gran Premio de la República Checa a finales del mes de agosto, ha sido hoy quinto. Pero este resultado vale oro para el francés quien llevaba varias carreras intentando recuperar la confianza perdida tras sus múltiples lesiones.

El triplete ha tenido de todo para el equipo Avintia Racing, desde la aventura de Barberá con el Ducati Team, pasando por el debut de Mike Jones, y terminando con una gran alegría para todos en el equipo. Sin duda la mejor manera de celebrar la vuelta de Héctor a su casa, y un extra de motivación de cara a la última carrera de la temporada en Valencia.

“Estoy súper contento porque acabar cuarto es increíble y además es mi mejor resultado en MotoGP. Después de dos carreras tan malas en Japón y Australia, este resultado hacía falta para levantar la cabeza, coger energías y llegar a tope a Valencia. Sin duda ha venido en el mejor momento. Pero aunque estoy feliz, también estoy muy contento por mi compañero de equipo Loris, porque él casi lo necesitaba más que yo. Esto nos ha venido fenomenal para cargar pilas a todo el equipo y estamos demostrando que con trabajo, esfuerzo e ilusión se consiguen grandes cosas. Avintia es el claro ejemplo, porque no tendremos los medios de otros equipos, pero en ilusión somos campeones del mundo. Estamos entre los diez primeros en la clasificación por delante de motos oficiales, y en Valencia vamos a darlo todo para poner el broche final a esta gran temporada”.

“Antes de la carrera estaba deseando que lloviera, porque han sido tres semanas muy complicadas y al final este fin de semana nos vamos todos con una gran sonrisa. Este año creo que si miramos las horas que he pasado sobre la moto en seco, me falta mucho, por eso necesitaba confianza y eso solo se consigue peleando y trabajando duro. Pero este resultado es lo que nos faltaba para subir la moral y empezar a pelear con más fuerza. Esta carrera ha sido muy buena y lo he pasado bien peleando con Héctor. Para el equipo también ha sido un resultado increíble. La carrera ha sido complicada porque al final con menos agua se calentaba mucho la goma, pero acabar entre los cinco primeros es fantástico. Cheste es la carrera de casa para el equipo y también un poco para mí, así que trataremos de seguir en esta buena forma”.

L’equip Avintia Racing ha igualat el seu millor resultat de la història avui al Gran Premi de Malàisia, amb l’Héctor Barberá quart i el seu company Loris Baz cinquè. La pluja ha tornat a aparèixer avui a Sepang just abans de la cursa, i ho ha fet amb tanta força que la sortida de la cursa de MotoGP s’ha vist retardada. Per als pilots d’Avintia Racing la pluja ha estat un bon aliat, perquè després del seu gran rendiment ahir en els entrenaments cronometrats, tant l’Héctor Barberá com en Loris Baz volien una carrera en mullat. Després de començar la carrera amb certa precaució, els pilots d’Avintia Racing han anat superant als seus rivals amb en Baz al capdavant, però quan a poques voltes el nivell d’aigua a la pista ha anat baixant, en Barberá ha aprofitat per col·locar-se davant i creuar la meta en quarta posició, el seu millor resultat des que va debutar a MotoGP al 2010.

En Loris Baz, que va ser quart per davant de en Barberà al Gran Premi de la República Txeca a finals del mes d’agost, ha estat avui cinquè. Però aquest resultat val com l’or pel francès qui portava diverses carreres intentant recuperar la confiança perduda després de les seves múltiples lesions.

El triplet ha tingut de tot per a l’equip Avintia Racing, des de l’aventura d’en Barberà amb el Ducati Team, passant pel debut d’en Mike Jones, i acabant amb una gran alegria per a tot l’equip. Sens dubte la millor manera de celebrar la tornada de l’Héctor a casa seva, i un extra de motivació de cara a l’última cursa de la temporada a València.

“Estic súper content perquè acabar quart és increïble i a més és el meu millor resultat de MotoGP. Després de dues carreres tan dolentes al Japó i Austràlia, aquest resultat calia per aixecar el cap, agafar energies i arribar al màxim a València. Sens dubte ha vingut al millor moment. “Abans de la cursa estava desitjant que plogués, perquè han estat tres setmanes molt complicades i al final aquest cap de setmana marxem tots amb un gran somriure. Aquest any crec que si mirem les hores que he passat sobre la moto en sec, em falta molt, per això necessitava confiança i això només s’aconsegueix lluitant i treballant dur. Però aquest resultat és el que ens faltava per pujar la moral i començar a lluitar amb més força. Aquesta cursa ha estat molt bona i ho he passat bé lluitant amb Hèctor. Per l’equip també ha estat un resultat increïble. La cursa ha estat complicada perquè al final amb menys aigua s’escalfava molt la goma, però acabar entre els cinc primers és fantàstic. Australian Mike Jones played a starring role today at the Michelin Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, finishing the race in 15^th place and celebrating his first ever MotoGP World Championship point. It was only the second race weekend for “Mad Mike” in the premier class with Avintia Racing, after taking the opportunity to replace Hector Barberá, who in return enjoyed two races with the official Ducati factory Team, replacing Andrea Iannone. After a good debut with the bike and the team in Japan, 22-year-old Jones did another impressive job at home, fighting to grab one point.

Jones’ MotoGP adventure comes to an end after this weekend, as Andrea Iannone will be back with Ducati in Sepang, which means Barbera’s return to the Avintia Racing garage. The Spaniard was unlucky and crashed in the race whilst fighting for the Top 10 with local hero Jack Miller. But in the last two races riding the Desmosedici GP 2016, he gained valuable experience with the bike that he will race next season.

The Michelin Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix was a nightmare for Loris Baz. He struggled during practice and qualifying to find the best set up of his bike in ever-changing conditions. His performance in today’s warm-up session was quite promising, but after just one lap in the race, the Avintia Racing rider was forced to retire due to some electronic issues on his bike. The Ducati engineers will check all the data to try to identify the problem and make sure it won’t happen again.

“It is an incredible feeling to get my first World Championship point in MotoGP, especially here at Phillip Island, my home track and in front of my home crowd. I’m very, very happy and very excited. It was a really great race for me. I made a big improvement in comparison to Motegi, I got a much better start and I got away with the guys at the back of the field. All in alI, I was able to gain a lot more experience and improve as a rider on this bike. On Friday and Saturday, it was difficult due to the mixed conditions and today really was the only dry day, so I just got 30 minutes in the warm-up to get ready for a dry race. It was difficult, but thanks to everybody in Avintia Racing and especially my crew, I was able to learn quick and adapt to the bike. This weekend has been good, and all I can say is thank you!”.

HÉCTOR BARBERÁ #8 DNF

“It was a difficult race, because I was only able to lap in the dry in this morning’s warm-up and so for me all the race settings were completely new. After the start I made a recovery that took me into the group with Redding and Petrucci fighting for seventh place, but three laps from the end I made a mistake trying to pass Miller: I went too long, finished on the grass and crashed. It was really a pity, because today I tried to do my best, but it wasn’t sufficient. Again I’d like to thank Ducati, my team Avintia Racing, and everyone who gave me this chance. I didn’t have much luck but now I must look ahead and try and do better in the next two races”.

LORIS BAZ #76 DNF

“Overall the weekend has been tough for me. The first two days, the weather was crazy and we couldn’t really work on the set up. After the warm-up today I had some good expectations, as my pace was quite encouraging. But then we had some electronic issues and my race was finished after just one lap. It is a real shame because today I had the pace to fight for a top 12 result. Now I have to forget this weekend and think about Sepang, where I want to score a good result to boost my confidence ahead of the final round in Valencia.”
