Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini will start the Motul TT Assen in 19th and 17th position respectively after having to dispute the Q1.

Both riders had a difficult session and unfortunately couldn’t finish in the top two positions that would have allowed them to access to Q2. Bastianini closed his best lap with a time of 1:33.404 and Luca Marini with a time of 1:33.321.

The points of the Motul TT Assen will be given in the race that will take place tomorrow at 14:00 at the mythical Assen track.

“It has been a difficult day. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as we expected, so we will have to work for tomorrow because there is something wrong and we have to understand why. Tomorrow I will start 19th and I will do my best to get a good result.”

“Overall it has been a good qualifying and we are doing well, we always try to make the most of our potential. We are still working in this direction, we are missing something in the fast parts, all the Ducatis are struggling, and we hope that some of them will find a modification to have more stability. We are growing, I am happy, the level is extremely high, the bikes are constantly evolving, but step by step we are there. I am very happy with the relationship with the team and I feel good.”

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini arrancarán el Motul TT Assen en 19ª y 17ª posición respectivamente tras tener que disputar la Q1.

Ambos pilotos han tenido una sesión complicada y desafortunadamente no han podido terminar entre las dos primeras posiciones que les hubiera permitido acceder a la Q2. Bastianini ha cerrado su mejor vuelta con un tiempo de 1:33.404 y Luca Marini con un registro de 1:33.321.

Los puntos del Motul TT Assen se repartirán en la carrera que se disputará mañana a las 14:00 en el mítico trazado de Assen.

“Ha sido un día difícil. Desafortunadamente las cosas no han salido como esperábamos, así que tendremos que trabajar para mañana porque hay algo que no funciona y tenemos que entender el por qué. Mañana saldré 19º y daré lo mejor de mí para conseguir un buen resultado.”

“En general ha sido una buena clasificación y lo estamos haciendo bien, siempre intentamos sacar el máximo de nuestro potencial. Seguimos trabajando en esta dirección, nos falta algo en las partes rápidas, todas las Ducatis están luchando y esperamos que algunas encuentren una modificación para tener más estabilidad. Estamos creciendo, estoy contento, el nivel es muy alto, las motos están en constante evolución, pero ladrillo a ladrillo estamos ahí. Estoy muy contento con la relación con el equipo y me siento bien.”

The Avintia Esponsorama and the Sky VR46 Avintia riders have completed the first two free practice sessions of the Motul TT Assen at ‘The Cathedral’.

Bastianini and Marini ended the first day in the Netherlands in 20th and 21st position respectively. Both riders were affected by the rain during the second free practice, which made it impossible to improve their times in the afternoon.

Tomorrow at 10:00 the third free practice of the Motul TT Assen will start, where Bastianini and Marini will have one last chance to get a position that will allow them to go directly to Q2.

“It was a good day. It’s a very tricky and demanding track for MotoGP. In the morning, the bike was moving a lot and we had to work to make some changes and I think we made a step forward between FP1 and FP2, so I’m happy. However, there is still a lot of work to do to get to where I want to be. In the afternoon it rained in the second half of the session, so it compromised FP2 a little bit, but even in the wet I had a good feeling.”

“Assen is a really difficult track with the Ducati, we all suffered a bit, but we can have fun. In FP2, due to the rain and the yellow flags at the start, we couldn’t do a lot of laps and I couldn’t set a fast lap. In general, we started quite well, we are missing something in the fast corners, but I’m sure we will solve this problem as we keep adding laps. In the rain I felt good grip and we can do well in these conditions.”

El Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia han disputado este viernes los dos primeros entrenamientos libres del Motul TT Assen en ‘La Catedral’.

Bastianini y Marini han cerrado el primer día en los Países Bajos en 20ª y 21ª posición respectivamente. Ambos pilotos se han visto perjudicados por la lluvia que ha hecho acto de presencia durante el segundo entrenamiento libre y que ha imposibilitado mejorar sus registros.

Mañana a partir de las 10:00 dará comienzo el tercer entrenamiento libre del Motul TT Assen, donde los Bastianini y Marini tendrán una última oportunidad para conseguir una posición que les permita acceder directamente a la Q2.

“Ha sido un buen día. Es una pista muy complicada y exigente con la MotoGP. Por la mañana, la moto se movía mucho y hemos tenido que trabajar para hacer algunos cambios y creo que hemos dado un paso adelante entre el FP1 y el FP2, así que estoy feliz. De todas formas, todavía hay mucho trabajo para llegar a donde quiero estar. Por la tarde ha llovido en la segunda mitad de la sesión, por lo que ha comprometido un poco el FP2, pero incluso en mojado he tenido buenas sensaciones.”

“Assen es una pista realmente difícil con la Ducati, todos hemos sufrido un poco, pero podemos divertirnos. En la FP2, debido a la lluvia y a las banderas amarillas, no hemos podido rodar mucho, y no he podido cerrar una vuelta rápida. En general hemos empezado bastante bien, nos falta algo en las curvas rápidas, pero estoy seguro de que resolveremos este problema a medida que sigamos sumando vueltas. Con la lluvia he sentido un buen agarre y podemos hacerlo bien en estas condiciones.”

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia face a new challenge this weekend at the ‘Cathedral’ of motorcycling for the Motul TT Assen.

Enea Bastianini, who missed out on the points at Sachsenring, arrives at Assen, one of his favourite tracks. The Avintia Esponsorama rider is ready for another weekend of work with his Ducati Desmosedici GP19 to continue to get closer to the front group of the grid.

Luca Marini scored an important point in Germany after finishing 15th. The Urbino rider, who has been showing great progress since the start of the season, is optimistic and impatient for the start of the Dutch Grand Prix.

The premier class action gets underway tomorrow at 9:55am for the first free practice session of the Motul TT Assen.

“We arrive at Assen, one of my favourite circuits, where I feel quite strong and I’m looking forward to riding a MotoGP bike here. We come from a difficult weekend at Sachsenring, it was not a negative Grand Prix, but in some moments, we struggled to find our speed. I hope we can start well from Friday, to be fast in qualifying on Saturday and we will see what we can do in the race.”

“It will be exciting to race the MotoGP bike at Assen, a historic track, really fast, but also very tight. I don’t know how the Ducati will adapt, but we are growing, the team is doing well, and we will keep working to improve my feeling on the bike. The real unknown will be the weather, so let’s wait and see.”

El Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia afrontan este fin de semana un nuevo reto en ‘La Catedral’ del motociclismo para disputar el Motul TT Assen.

Enea Bastianini, que se quedó a las puertas de los puntos en la carrera de Sachsenring, llega a Assen, uno de sus trazados favoritos. El piloto italiano del Avintia Esponsorama está preparado para un nuevo fin de semana de trabajo con su Ducati Desmosedici GP19 para seguir acercándose al grupo delantero de la parrilla.

Luca Marini logró sumar un punto importante en Alemania tras finalizar 15º. El piloto de Urbino, quién está mostrando una gran evolución desde el comienzo de la temporada, se muestra optimista e impaciente para que de comienzo el gran premio de los Países Bajos.

La acción de la categoría reina dará comienzo mañana a partir de las 9:55 para disputar los primeros entrenamientos libres del Motul TT Assen.

“Llegamos a Assen, uno de mis circuitos preferidos, donde me siento bastante fuerte y tengo ganas de pilotar aquí una MotoGP. Venimos de un fin de semana complicado en Sachsenring, no fue un gran premio negativo, pero en algunos momentos nos costó encontrar la velocidad. Espero que podamos empezar bien desde el viernes para así ser rápidos en la clasificación del sábado y veremos lo que podemos hacer en la carrera.”

“Será emocionante correr en Assen con la MotoGP, una pista histórica, muy rápida, pero también muy apretada. No sé cómo se adaptará la Ducati, pero estamos creciendo, el equipo va bien y seguiremos trabajando para mejorar mis sensaciones encima de la moto. La verdadera incógnita será el clima, así que vamos a esperar.”

Luca Marini and Enea Bastianini completed the race of the Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deustchland.

Marini managed to cross the finish line inside the Top 15 after a hard-fought race. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider, who lost some positions during the early stages of the race, was able to come back to score a valuable point.

Bastianini, who was penalized three positions on the grid after yesterday’s qualifying, finished the race in 16th position at Sachsenring, just one position outside of the points.

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia will race the ninth round of the World Championship calendar next week, the Motul TT Assen.

“I am not happy with my race because unfortunately I had some problems that made me lose a lot of time and we will try to understand why. At some points of the circuit, I was fast and I was able to make a little bit of a difference, but it wasn’t enough. Overall, it was a difficult weekend. We leave here with experience because we did a lot of laps with left-hand turns, and I think it will help for the future. I’m sure we’ll do better at Assen.”

“I am satisfied with the weekend, we had a good race where I was fast and consistent. I had a good feeling, the result of the work done here and in the Barcelona test. I can show my potential better, but we still need to work on how to manage the start and the first laps.”

Marini ha logrado cruzar la línea de meta dentro del Top 15 después de una carrera muy peleada. El piloto del Sky VR46 Avintia, que ha perdido algunas posiciones durante los primeros compases de la carrera, ha podido remontar para sumar un valioso punto.

Bastianini, que fue penalizado ayer con tres posiciones en la parrilla tras la clasificación, ha concluido la carrera en Sachsenring en 16ª posición, quedándose a las puertas de los puntos.

El Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia disputarán la próxima semana la novena cita del calendario del Campeonato el Mundo, el Motul TT Assen.

“No estoy contento con mi carrera porque desafortunadamente he tenido algunos problemas que me han hecho perder mucho tiempo e intentaremos entender el por qué. En algunos puntos del circuito he sido rápido y he podido marcar un poco la diferencia, pero no ha sido suficiente. En general ha sido un fin de semana complicado. Nos vamos de aquí con experiencia porque hemos hecho muchas vueltas con curvas de izquierda y creo que ayudará para el futuro. Seguro que en Assen lo haremos mejor.”

“Estoy satisfecho con el fin de semana, hemos hecho una buena carrera en la que he sido rápido y constante. He tenido buenas sensaciones, fruto del trabajo realizado aquí y en el test de Barcelona. Puedo mostrar mejor mi potencial, pero todavía tenemos que trabajar para poder gestionar mejor la salida y las primeras vueltas.”

During Q1, both riders missed out on a place in Q2. Marini set a best time of 1:20.864, just 2 tenths slower than the second placed rider, while Bastianini stopped the clock at 1:20.953.

Tomorrow at 14:00 the Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland race will take place, where Marini and Bastianini will fight from the first lap to cross the finish line with points.

“It was a good day. This morning I didn’t set my best time and I didn’t understand why I couldn’t push like I wanted to. However, in qualifying I was able to set a good time and I felt strong. We still have some work to do, but I feel ready for tomorrow’s race.”

“I think we have to be satisfied with this P14, it’s a good result for us and we are only half a second off pole time. We have done a good job with the team, we are fast, we have reduced the gap to the leaders and tomorrow we have a very tough race ahead of us. It will be difficult on the medium tires, we are all very close and it will be crucial to start well and manage the first few laps.”

Mañana a las 14:00 se disputará la carrera del Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland, donde Marini y Bastianini lucharán desde la primera vuelta para cruzar la línea de meta con puntos.

“Ha sido un buen día. Esta mañana no he marcado mi mejor tiempo y no entendía por qué no podía empujar como quería. En cambio, en la clasificación he podido lograr un buen registro y me he sentido fuerte. Todavía tenemos trabajo por delante, pero me siento preparado para la carrera de mañana.”

“Creo que tenemos que estar satisfechos con esta P14, es un buen resultado para nosotros y sólo estamos a medio segundo del tiempo de la pole. Hemos hecho un buen trabajo con el equipo, somos rápidos, hemos reducido la distancia con los líderes y mañana nos espera una carrera muy dura. Será difícil con los neumáticos medios, estamos todos muy cerca y será crucial salir bien y gestionar las primeras vueltas.”
