El Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia han tenido este viernes su primera toma de contacto con el circuito de COTA tras disputar los dos primeros entrenamientos libres del Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas.

Enea Bastianini y Luca Marini han terminado 10º y 12º en la clasificación combinada al final de la primera jornada. En la sesión matinal y en condiciones de mojado, ambos pilotos han podido dar sus primeras vueltas con la MotoGP y empezar a coger confianza con el trazado.

Por la tarde, y ya en condiciones de seco, Bastianini ha sido el 10º más rápido, con un tiempo de 2:04.836. Por su parte, tras parar el cronómetro en 2:04.933, Luca Marini ha marcado el 12º registro más rápido del segundo entrenamiento libre.

Mañana a las 16:55 (GMT+2), Bastianini y Marini volverán a saltar a la pista para disputar el tercer entrenamiento libre y, posteriormente, el cuarto entrenamiento libre y la clasificación del Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas.

“Ha sido un primer día interesante. El asfalto está muy bacheado y no ha sido fácil. La mañana ha sido en mojado y he intentado empezar a coger confianza. El FP2 ya ha sido completamente en seco, pero he tenido algo de dolor en la espalda causado por la caída que tuve en el test de Misano, y no me he acabado de sentir al 100%. De todas formas, hemos cerrado una buena vuelta. En las curvas rápidas me siento bien, pero en las lentas sufro aún un poco. Tenemos todo el día de mañana para trabajar e intentaremos dar un paso adelante.”

“Un día bueno y positivo. Hemos podido rodar en ambas condiciones y he sido rápido en todas las sesiones. Era una situación difícil de gestionar, especialmente por los numerosos baches en el asfalto. Probablemente una de las cosas más complicadas a las que me he enfrentado pilotando una MotoGP, lo cual es una pena porque la pista es muy bonita. No creo que puedan hacer nada entre hoy y mañana, así que lo único que tenemos que hacer es trabajar en la moto para asegurarnos de que podemos empujar al máximo y no cometer ningún error. Sin duda, hablaremos con los demás pilotos en la ‘Safety Commission’ porque estamos al borde de lo peligroso. En general, las sensaciones sobre la moto son buenas, la mayor parte del trabajo que hicimos en el test de Misano ha funcionado en esta pista y esperamos que el tiempo sea bueno para la clasificación.”

ANTONELLI AND TATAY, LOOKING FOR A GOOD WEEKEND IN AUSTIN

Two years later, the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and Avintia VR46 Academy will contest this weekend’s Red Bull Grand Prix of the America, the 15th round of the calendar.

Niccolò Antonelli heads into the weekend in Austin after getting a superb second place finish in Misano. The Italian rider is motivated to face a new weekend and to achieve another good result that will allow him to continue climbing positions in the world standings.

Carlos Tatay, who crossed the finish line in San Marino in 8th position, lands in Texas with the objective of taking advantage of his good performance and repeating another good result to continue progressing in a new circuit for him.

The Moto3 riders will have their first taste of the circuit this Friday at 16:00 (CET+2) for the first free practice of the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas.

Dos años después, el Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy disputarán este fin de semana el Red Bull Grand Prix of the America, la 15ª cita del calendario.

Niccolò Antonelli afronta el fin de semana en Austin después de conseguir en Misano una magnífica segunda posición. El piloto italiano se muestra motivado para afrontar un nuevo fin de semana y conseguir otro buen resultado que le permita seguir escalando posiciones en la clasificación.

Carlos Tatay, que cruzó la línea de meta en San Marino en 8ª posición, aterriza en Texas con el objetivo de aprovechar su buen estado de forma y repetir otra buena actuación para seguir progresando en un circuito nuevo para él.

Los pilotos de Moto3, tendrán su primera toma de contacto con el circuito de las Américas este viernes a las 16:00 (CET+2), para disputar el primer entrenamiento libre del Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas.

Two years later, Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia will return to the United States for the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, the 15th round of the calendar.

Enea Bastianini arrives in Texas after his first podium in the premier class in San Marino. The Italian rider wants to continue his great performance at the Circuit of the Americas and to get another great result.

Luca Marini arrives in the United States with renewed energy. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider had a positive test in Misano and is very motivated for the weekend in Austin, aiming to get back in the points positions.

On Friday at 16:55 (CET+2), the first free practice for the premier class of the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas will get underway.

“We are ready. Misano gave us the right energy and we did something incredible, we worked well all weekend and it was a very special Grand Prix. We know that the Circuit of the Americas is a difficult track, however, I think we can do a good job. In 2019 I was able to ride the Moto2 and I liked it a lot. We will have to look for a good set-up from Friday, as it is very important in this track.”

“Austin is undoubtedly one of the most special and difficult circuits on the calendar. We have a week of hard work ahead of us, where we have to make the most of what we did at the Misano test last week. We tried some new solutions and we were fast. The last few weekends have not been easy and the goal is definitely to get back in the points.”

Dos años después, el Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia volverán a los Estados Unidos para disputar el Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, la 15ª cita del calendario.

Enea Bastianini llega a Texas tras conseguir en San Marino su primer podio en la categoría reina. El piloto italiano quiere seguir aprovechando en el Circuito de las Américas su gran estado de forma y sumar nuevamente un gran resultado.

Luca Marini aterriza en los Estados Unidos con energía renovada. El piloto del Sky VR46 Avintia tuvo un test muy positivo en Misano y afronta muy motivado el fin de semana en Austin, con el objetivo de volver a la zona de puntos.

El viernes a las 16:55 (CET+2), comenzará el primer entrenamiento libre de la categoría reina del Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas.

“Estamos listos. Misano nos dio la energía adecuada e hicimos algo increíble, trabajamos bien todo el fin de semana y fue un gran premio muy especial. Sabemos que el Circuito de las Américas es una pista difícil, sin embargo, creo que podemos hacer un buen papel. En 2019 pude pilotar la Moto2 y me gustó mucho. Tendremos que buscar una buena puesta a punto desde el viernes, ya que es muy importante con todos los cambios de dirección.”

“Austin es sin duda uno de los circuitos más especiales y difíciles del calendario. Nos espera una semana de duro trabajo, en la que tenemos que sacar el máximo partido a lo que hicimos en el test de Misano la semana pasada. Probamos algunas soluciones nuevas y fuimos rápidos. Los últimos fines de semana no han sido fáciles y el objetivo es definitivamente volver a la zona de puntos.”

Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia completed the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini race, where Enea Bastianini took his first podium in the premier class.

The Avintia Esponsorama rider rode an almost perfect race. After starting from 12th position, lap after lap, Bastianini recovered positions thanks to a great pace, even setting the historic fastest lap record in the race. With 8 laps to go, the Italian was able to consolidate his 3rd position, achieving his first ever podium in MotoGP in front of his crowd.

Luca Marini was unable to finish higher than 19th. The Sky VR46 Avintia rider was fighting for the top 15, but a long lap penalty with 18 laps to go ruined any chance of scoring points.

After a very positive weekend for the team, Avintia Esponsorama and Sky VR46 Avintia will head to the United States in two weeks, where the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, the 15th round of the calendar, will take place.

“It was an unexpected result, but since this morning I thought it was possible because I saw that I could do good lap times easily. We were able to find a good set-up on the bike and I was able to enjoy. In the middle of the race I felt really good and when I overtook Miller, I kept setting my pace. I knew I had Quartararo and Bagnaia in front of me and I wanted to try to attack them, but I was already pretty much at the limit. I’m very happy with this 3rd position and it was great to get this podium in Misano.”

“I didn’t have a bad start, but from the beginning I didn’t have enough speed to overtake riders in my group like Pirro, Binder or Nakagami. In the slipstream, the temperature of the front tyre went up and that’s something I have to work on, because I’m still not used to managing it to the maximum. I went long at Turn 1, then I tried to lose time to let other riders pass me, but I still got a long lap penalty that pushed me back to the last positions. I struggled to recover, I suffered a lot with the front tyre and, with seven laps to go, the left side of the rear tyre was badly damaged. We have to work, we are at a standstill and the two days of testing this week will be very important.”

El Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia han completado la carrera del Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, donde Enea Bastianini ha conseguido su primer podio en la categoría reina.

El piloto del Avintia Esponsorama ha realizado una carrera prácticamente perfecta. Tras arrancar desde la 12ª posición, vuelta tras vuelta, Bastianini ha ido recuperando posiciones gracias a un gran ritmo, marcando incluso el récord de vuelta rápida histórico en carrera. A falta de 8 vueltas para el final, el italiano ha podido consolidar la 3ª posición, consiguiendo así su primer podio en MotoGP delante de su afición.

Por su parte, Luca Marini no ha podido ir más allá de la 19ª posición. El piloto del Sky VR46 Avintia ha luchado por el top 15, pero una ‘long lap penalty’ a falta de 18 vueltas para el final le ha arruinado cualquier posibilidad de sumar puntos.

Tras un fin de semana muy positivo para el equipo, el Avintia Esponsorama y el Sky VR46 Avintia pondrán rumbo a los Estados Unidos en dos semanas, donde se disputará el Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, 15ª cita del calendario.

“Ha sido un resultado inesperado, pero desde esta mañana creía que era posible porque he visto que podía hacer buenos tiempos con facilidad. Hemos sido capaces de encontrar una buena puesta a punto en la moto y he podido divertirme. A mitad de carrera me he sentido muy bien y cuando he adelantado a Miller, he seguido imponiendo mi ritmo. Sabía que tenía a Quartararo y Bagnaia delante y quería tratar de atacarlos, pero ya estaba bastante al límite. Estoy muy contento con esta 3ª posición y ha sido fantástico conseguir este podio en Misano.”

“No he hecho una mala salida, pero desde el principio no he tenido suficiente velocidad para adelantar a pilotos de mi grupo como Pirro, Binder o Nakagami. En el rebufo, la temperatura del neumático delantero ha subido y eso es algo en lo que tengo que trabajar, porque todavía no estoy acostumbrado a gestionarlo al máximo. Me he ido largo en la curva 1, luego he intentado perder tiempo para dejar que me pasaran otros pilotos, pero aún así he recibido una ‘long lap penalty’ que me ha rezagado a las últimas posiciones. Me ha costado recuperar, he sufrido mucho con el tren delantero y, cuando faltaban siete vueltas, el lado izquierdo del neumático trasero estaba muy dañado. Tenemos que trabajar, estamos en un punto muerto y los dos días de test esta semana serán muy importantes.”

The Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and the Avintia VR46 Academy concluded the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini race with a very positive result for the team.

Niccolò Antonelli crossed the finish line in an excellent 2nd position, his second consecutive podium and third of the season. After starting 3rd, the VR46 Academy rider made a good start, recovering one position. With 14 laps to go, Antonelli made a mistake that caused him to lose four positions. However, thanks to his better pace over his rivals, the Italian was able to climb positions to finish in a well-deserved 2nd position.

Carlos Tatay took a hard-earned 8th position. The Valencian rider lost some positions at the start, dropping to 14th. As the laps went by, Tatay was able to recover and join the fight in a second group made up of five riders. In the end, the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 rider finished 8th, his second best result of the season after 6th in Jerez.

In two weeks time, and two years later, the Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 and the Avintia VR46 Academy will head to the United States, where the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas will take place from October 1st to 3rd.

“I’m happy with the second position, although it was a pity, because without the mistake I made I could have won. I was managing all the laps to be able to attack, but after the mistake I finished last in the group. It was difficult to keep the pace and be close to the other, but in the end I was able to come back and, in the last two laps, I regained the second position. I’m happy because we were fast and the race was really nice. We will keep pushing like this until the end of the season.”

“It was a very positive weekend and we worked very well together with the team. We are very satisfied with the work, although the result could have been better. I made a mistake on the first lap which cost me several positions, but as the laps went by I had a very good pace and was able to recover positions. I want to thank the team for all the work they have done and in two weeks in Austin, more and better.”

El Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy han concluido la carrera del Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, con un resultado muy positivo para el equipo.

Niccolò Antonelli ha cruzado la línea de meta en una excelente 2ª posición, consiguiendo así su segundo podio consecutivo y el tercero de la temporada. Tras arrancar 3º, el piloto de la VR46 Academy ha ejecutado una buena salida, recuperando una posición. A falta de 14 vueltas para el final, Antonelli ha cometido un error que le ha hecho perder hasta cuatro posiciones. Pese a ello, gracias al ritmo superior respecto a sus rivales, el italiano ha podido escalar posiciones para terminar en una 2ª merecida posición.

Carlos Tatay ha conseguido una 8ª posición muy trabajada. El valenciano ha perdido algunas posiciones en la salida, cayendo hasta la 14ª. Al paso de las vueltas, Tatay ha podido rehacerse y entrar en la pelea de un segundo grupo compuesto por cinco pilotos. Finalmente, el piloto del Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 ha sido 8º, logrando su segundo mejor resultado de la temporada tras la 6ª posición en Jerez.

Dentro de dos semanas, y dos años después, el Avintia Esponsorama Moto3 y el Avintia VR46 Academy pondrán rumbo a Estados Unidos, donde se disputará el Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas del 1 al 3 de octubre.

“Estoy feliz con la 2ª posición, aunque ha sido una lástima, porque sin el error que he cometido podría haber ganado. He estado gestionando todas las vueltas para poder atacar, pero después del error he acabado el último del grupo. Ha sido complicado mantener el ritmo y estar cerca del resto, pero al final he podido remontar y, en las dos últimas vueltas, he recuperado la 2ª posición. Estoy contento porque hemos sido rápidos y la carrera ha sido muy bonita. Seguiremos así, apretando hasta el final de temporada.”

“Ha sido un fin de semana muy positivo y hemos trabajado muy bien junto al equipo. Estamos muy satisfechos con el trabajo, aunque el resultado podría haber sido mejor. He cometido un fallo en la primera vuelta que me ha costado varias posiciones, pero cuando han ido pasando las vueltas he tenido un muy buen ritmo y he podido recuperar posiciones. Quiero agradecer al equipo todo el trabajo que ha hecho y en dos semanas en Austin, más y mejor.”

Avintia Esponsorama Racing finished the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Xavi Cardelús crossed the finish line in 8th position, ending the season with his best result of the year. Finally, the Andorran Avintia Esponsorama Racing rider finished 16th in the world standing with 13 points.

André Pires suffered an incident during yesterday’s race which prevented him from being on the grid for the second race of the weekend. The Portuguese rider suffered an injury on his right shoulder and, after a visit to the circuit doctors and a more thorough examination of the area, he was declared unfit. The Portuguese rider finished 17th and scoring 12 points in his first season in MotoE.

Avintia Esponsorama Racing has finished the third edition of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup. It has been a season where all the members of the team have fought and pushed in the same direction, overcoming all the setbacks that have appeared during the year.

“We didn’t make any changes to the bike compared to yesterday, so the feeling was exactly the same and I had the same problems. I did the best I could, so I’m happy with how these last two races of the season ended. I want to thank the team for the work they have done all year, we were unlucky, but we were fast, which is the important thing.”

“It was not the way I wanted to finish the season. Unfortunately, an injury to my right shoulder prevented me from taking part in the last race of the year. I did everything I could to be there, but after yesterday’s race, I felt a strong pain. After a visit to the doctor at the circuit and several tests, I was declared unfit. Anyway, I am proud of my season where I have been able to learn a lot. Thanks for the support and thanks to the whole team for their dedication.”
