IRTA Moto3 Test – Circuito de Jerez

El piloto del equipo Reale Avintia Academy, Livio Loi, ha completado con éxito otros tres días de entrenamientos de pretemporada en el circuito de Jerez. El equipo ha trabajado mucho con los técnicos de KTM para adaptar los reglajes de la moto a las necesidades de Loi y durante los tres días ha podido probar muchas cosas en la moto.

Aunque su posición final en la clasificación no lo refleje, el ritmo de carrera ha sido muy bueno y solo el segundo día Livio salió a buscar una vuelta rápida. Durante las tres jornadas ha trabajado con neumáticos de carrera para ganar ritmo y confianza y, en general ha sido un test muy productivo en el que el equipo ha podido sacar muchas conclusiones para mejorar todavía más cuando regresen a Jerez a primeros del mes de marzo.

“Hemos terminado los tres días de test en Jerez y pienso que podemos estar contentos con los pasos adelante que hemos dado en estos entrenamientos, hemos podido probar muchas cosas diferentes en la moto y hemos hecho tiempos bastante buenos, pero sobre todo muy constantes. En general me voy satisfecho, todavía tenemos que encontrar un poco más de agarre en el tren trasero, porque es dónde más estamos sufriendo, pero una vez que lo solucionemos creo que podemos ser muy fuertes y estar delante. No estamos muy lejos del primeros y hemos hecho un gran trabajo. Ya estoy deseando volver a Jerez para el último test de la pretemporada”.

Moto3 IRTA Test Valencia – Circuit Ricardo Tormo

Moto3 and Moto2 teams started the preseason testing in Valencia. This test was also the debut of Livio Loi and the Reale Avintia Academy team in the Moto3 class with KTM. The main issue during the three-day test was the weather and Loi could only rider in the last two sheduled days. With cold and tricky track conditions the Belgian rider has been working with his new team adapting his riding style to the KTM RC250R after three seasons competing in the Moto3 World Championship with different machinery.
The final standings have been tight with 16 riders in a second. Loi did his best laptime in the penultimate session today at the Ricardo Tormo circuit and he finished the first official test of the season 0.9s from the fastest pace.
The Reale Avintia Academy team is driving to Jerez where another three-day test will begin on Monday.

“We have been unlucky with the weather and bad we have not been able to be on track too much time during the last three days, but I’m really happy with the result of the first test of the season with my new team. I’ve had good feelings with the bike from the first moment. We did all the work we have been able to do these days and I’m very happy with the team and with the bike. I’m adapting to things like the rear brake that needs to be used much more on this bike. Overall it has been a good first test and we have been fast and with good pace. The best thing is that at this moment the limit of the bike is very far, so we have a lot of room for improvement. Now I’m looking forward to getting back on the bike and work again with my team in Jerez next week”.

Moto3 IRTA Test Valencia – Circuit Ricardo Tormo

Els equips de Moto3 i Moto2 han començat la pretemporada al Circuit Ricardo Tormo de la Comunitat Valenciana. També ha estat l’estrena de Livi Loi i l’equip Reale Avintia Academy en la categoria de Moto3 amb KTM. Dels tres dies d’entrenaments previstos, Loi només ha rodat els dos últims a causa de les condicions climatològiques. Amb fred i la pista delicada el pilot belga ha treballat amb el seu nou equip per adaptar-se a la KTM RC250R després de tres temporades competint al Mundial de Moto3 amb una altra mecànica.

Els temps han estat molt estrets amb 16 pilots en un segon amb Loi marcant el seu millor registre en la penúltima tanda cronometrada al circuit Ricardo Tormo i acabant el primer test oficial de la temporada a 0.9s del més ràpid.
L’equip Reale Avintia Academy ja s ́ha possat camí a Jerez on dilluns que ve començarà un altre test de tres dies a la pista andalus.

“Hemos tenido mala suerte con el tiempo y no hemos podido rodar todo lo que nos hubiera gustado, pero en estos tres días me he encontrado muy bien. He tenido buenas sensaciones con la moto desde el primer momento. Hemos hecho todo el trabajo que hemos podido en estos días y estoy muy contento con el equipo y con la moto. Me estoy adaptando a cosas como el freno trasero que es muy necesario en esta moto, pero en general ha sido un buen primer test y hemos rodado rápido con la moto y con buen ritmo. Lo mejor es que el límite de la moto está muy lejos, por lo que tenemos mucho margen de mejora. Ahora ya estoy deseando volver a subirme a la moto y trabajar con mi equipo en Jerez la próxima semana”.

Los equipos de Moto3 y Moto2 han comenzado la pretemporada en el Circuito Ricardo Tormo de la Comunidad Valenciana. También ha sido el estreno de Livio Loi y el equipo Reale Avintia Academy en la categoría de Moto3 con KTM. De los tres días de entrenamientos previstos, Loi solo ha rodado los dos últimos debido a las condiciones climatológicas. Con frío y la pista delicada el piloto belga ha trabajado con su nuevo equipo para adaptarse a la KTM RC250R después de tres temporadas compitiendo en el Mundial de Moto3 con otra mecánica.

Los tiempos han sido muy apretados con 16 pilotos en un segundo con Loi marcando su mejor registro en la penúltima tanda cronometrada en el circuito Ricardo Tormo y terminando el primer test oficial de la temporada a 0.9s del más rápido.

El equipo Reale Avintia Academy ya ha puesto rumbo a Jerez donde el próximo lunes comenzará otro test de tres días en la pista andaluza.

30/01/18 Sepang MotoGP Test – Sepang International Circuit

The Reale Avintia Racing Team leaves Malaysia with good feelings after three days of testing at the Sepang International Circuit, with Tito Rabat and Xavi Simeon constantly progressing.

The Spanish rider completed several laps under two minutes and was inside the ‘top 6’ for a while to remain in ninth place with two hours to go. On the last afternoon, the plan was to complete a full race simulation, but his run was interrupted when he crashed on the ninth of 20 laps. Despite his incident, Rabat left the circuit very satisfied after finishing the test with the twelfth fastest lap, only 0.717s behind Jorge Lorenzo, who was flying aboard his factory Ducati in Sepang today. Rabat is now looking forward to getting back on his bike in two weeks in Thailand, where the second official three-day test of the MotoGP caregory will be held at the new Buriram International Circuit.
Rabat’s teammate in Reale Avintia Racing, Xavier Simeon, continued with his work plan, which once again was focused on progressing on the bike and adapting his riding style to the demands of the MotoGP class. The Belgian did 30 laps today and lapped in 2’00, which was one of the goals that the team had set before arriving in Malaysia. In addition, his times were similar to the other riders who moved up from Moto2, including the current champion and runner-up. Therefore also for Simeon the Sepang test has been very positive.

“It has been a very positive test because I’ve managed to go fast with a very good pace while riding alone. Every time I’m more comfortable with the bike and the team has been doing a great job during the three days. In the afternoon we did a race simulation, but I crashed and so we couldn’t finish it. The positive thing is that we know why it happened, it was the same as the first day and in the same turn, running the medium front tyre. This tyre does not warn you before the limit as we already know, but now we have things clear for the next test. I’m very happy with the result of these tests, with the team, with the bike and with my physical condition. Now it’s time to train hard at home to get ready for Thailand”.

“To be honest I’m very happy because we’ve been working step by step and every day I’ve improved the lap times and, what is more important, I’ve improved my feeling with the bike. For the first time I was able to make changes on the set-up, understand the bike better and how it needs to be ridden. That also allowed me to concentrate on my riding and on such a difficult track like this, we managed to lap in 2’00 which is not bad for my first time at Sepang with a MotoGP bike. I am working very well with the team and they have given me very good indications. Also Rubén (Xaus) has helped me a lot and with his experience I have been able to advance faster and in the end we were with the other ‘rookies’. Now we need to continue working at home to start over in Thailand form where we have left off here”.

30/01/18 Sepang MotoGP Test – Sepang International Circuit

L’Equip Reale Avintia Racing deixa Malàsia amb molt bones sensacions després de tres dies d’entrenaments en que Tito Rabat i Xavi Simeon no han de deixat de progressar.

L’espanyol ha aconseguit aquesta matí donar varies voltes per sota dels dos minutsii ha arribat a estar al top 6. A la tarda el pla erra fer una simulació de carrera completa, però tampoc ha pogut ser finalment en caure en la novena de les vint voltes tenia programades. Però tot i això Rabat ha acabat molt satisfet després de acabar el test amb el 1 dotzè millor temps a 0.717s de Jorge Lorenzo, que avui ha volat baix volat amb la seva Ducati oficial a Sepang. Rabat esta desitjan yotnar a l’ acció dintre dues semanes a Tailàndia, on tindra lloc e Segon test oficial de tres dies en el nou circuit de Buriram.

El seu company al Reale Avintia Racing, Xavier Simeon, ha seguit amb el seu pla de Treball que una vegada més se ha centrat en progressar sobre la moto i adaptar el seu estil de pilotatge de la categoria de MotoGP. El Belga ha completat 30 voltes i ha aconseguit rodar en 2’00, que era un dels objectius que l’equip que se havia marcat abans de arribar a Malàisia. A demés els seus temps son similars a 1 el altres pilot de Moto2, entre ells , el Campió i el subcampió de la temporada passada. Per tant també per a Simeon el test de Sepang provar ha estat molt positiu.

“Ha estat un test molt positiu perquè he aconseguit anar l’rapidi amb moltbon ritme només jo sol, cada vegada em trobo més a gust amb la moto i el del meu equip de fet deun grandíssim treball durant els tresdies. A la tarda hem fet un simulacre de carrera, però m ́he caigut i no hem pogut acabar-lo. Lo bó és que sabem per que ha estat, ja ens va passar el primer dia i en la mateixa corba amb la goma migs devantera . Aquest pneumàtics no avisa, però com ja ho sabem tenim les coses clares per a la pròxima prova. Estic molt content de com han anat aquest test, amb el equip amb la moto i com jo em trobo físicament. Ara toca entrenar al màxim aquest dies pera posar-se a punt per Tailànda.”

“La veritat és que estic molt satisfet perquè hem anat pas a pas i cada dia he millorat els temps i i lo que és mes Important, que he millorat les meves sensacions amb la moto. Per primera vegada que he pogut fer canvi en la posada a punt, entendre la moto, i com és pilota. Això també a mi m’ha permès concentrar-me en la conducció i aquí es una pista complicada que hem aconseguit rodar en 2’00 que no està gens malament per a ser la meva primera en Sepang amb una MotoGP. m ́he trobat molt bé amb l’equip i també m ́han donat molt bones Indicacions. També Rubén (Xaus) m ́ha ajudat moltíssim i amb la seva experiència he avançar molt ràpid i i al finals ens hem acostat als altres “ rookies”. Ara a seguir treballant a casa per a tornar a començar a Tailàndia on ho hem deixat aquí.”

29/01/18 Sepang MotoGP Test – Sepang International Circuit

When MotoGP riders arrived this morning to Sepang, they’ve found a damp track after overnight rain, but unlike yesterday the Malaysian sun was shining and the track surface dried up quickly. Before lunch time, Reale Avintia Racing riders were ready to jump on their bikes and continue working.
Tito Rabat improved again his rhthym and compared to the first day his race pace was a second faster. The former Moto2 World Champion has been working very well with his crew and improved in more than half a second his best lap time from the first day, even so, he wanted to improve a bit more at the end. In the 30 minutes went out with a new rear Michelin slick tyre for a time attack, pero a rain shower ruined his plan of improving his lap times.

Xavier Simeon has also taken a big step forward in his adaptation process to the MotoGP class. The Belgian rider, following the advice of the team and his ‘coach’ Ruben Xaus, is steadely improving his riding style bettering his time from yesterday by almost 1.5s. His goal for the winter test is not just make a fast lap, but to learn as much as possible before the MotoGP World Championship starts in Qatar next March.

“Today was a day to try many different things in the set up of the bike to see what we like and what we don’t like. I’m happy because we have clear which way to follow and although we didn’t complete many laps, all of them have been effective and have allowed us to test what we wanted to test. For tomorrow, if tonight doesn’t rain, the intention is to start early and try to improve the lap time but, to be honest, I’m happy with the pace we have and specially because I’m doing fast times riding on my own. We have to concentrate to make the most of the last day and if everything goes well I would like to do a race simulation”.

“I’m very happy because today we did a big step compared to yesterday, and even during the afternoon with used tyres I was able to improve. Every time I go out on track I feel better with the bike, every time I understand the tyres better, I’m changing my position and little by little and I’m riding more in the style requiered by a MotoGP machine; lifting the bike as soon as possible and trying to brake as late as possible. At the end of the day we put a set of fresh soft tyres to try to improve the lap times and, honestly, I expected to improve a bit more. Especially seeing how the other riders with the new tyre were doing a big improvement. I expected to be able to do the same, but it is clear that I still have many things to learn”.

El equipo Reale Avintia Racing deja Malasia con muy buenas sensaciones después de tres días de entrenamientos en los que Tito Rabat y Xavi Simeon no han dejado de progresar.

El español ha conseguido esta mañana dar varias vueltas por debajo de los dos minutos y ha llegado a estar en el ‘top 6’. Por la tarde el plan era hacer una simulación de carrera completa, pero finalmente no la ha podido terminar tras caer en la novena de las veinte vueltas que tenía programadas. Pero a pesar de todo Rabat ha terminado muy satisfecho tras acabar el test con el duodécimo mejor tiempo a 0.717s de Jorge Lorenzo, quien hoy a volado bajo con su Ducati oficial en Sepang. Rabat ya está deseando volver a la acción dentro de dos semanas en Tailandia, donde tendrá lugar el segundo test oficial de tres días en el nuevo circuito de Buriram.

Su compañero en el Reale Avintia Racing, Xavier Simeon, ha seguido con su plan de trabajo que, una vez más se ha centrado en progresar sobre la moto y adaptar su estilo de pilotaje a las exigencias de la categoría de MotoGP. El belga ha completado 30 vueltas y ha conseguido rodar en 2’00, que era uno de los objetivos que el equipo se había marcado antes de llegar a Malasia. Además sus tiempos son similares a los otros pilotos que han subido de Moto2, entre ellos, el campeón y subcampeón de la pasada temporada. Por lo tanto también para Simeon el test de Sepang ha sido muy positivo.

“Ha sido un test muy positivo porque he conseguido ir rápido y con muy buen ritmo yo solo, cada vez me encuentro más a gusto con la moto y el equipo ha hecho un grandísimo trabajo durante los tres días. Por la tarde hemos hecho un simulacro de carrera, pero me he caído y no hemos podido terminarlo. Lo bueno es que sabemos por qué ha sido, ya nos pasó el primer día y en la misma curva con la goma media delante. Este neumático no avisa, pero como ya lo sabemos tenemos las cosas claras para el próximo test. Estoy muy contento de cómo han ido estos test, con el equipo, con la moto y con cómo me encuentro yo físicamente. Ahora toca entrenar a tope estos días para ponerse a punto para Tailandia”.

“La verdad es que estoy muy satisfecho porque hemos ido paso a paso y cada día he mejorado los tiempos y, lo que es más importante, he mejorado mis sensaciones con la moto. Por primera vez he podido hacer cambios en la puesta a punto, entender bien la moto y cómo se pilota. Eso también me ha permitido concentrarme en mi conducción y aquí que es una pista complicada hemos conseguido rodar en 2’00 lo que no está nada mal para ser mi primera vez en Sepang con una MotoGP. Me he encontrado muy bien con el equipo y me han dado muy buenas indicaciones. También Rubén (Xaus) me ha ayudado muchísimo y con su experiencia he podido avanzar más rápido y al final nos hemos acercado a los otros ‘rookies’. Ahora a seguir trabajando en casa para volver a empezar en Tailandia donde lo hemos dejado aquí”.

29/01/18 Sepang MotoGP Test – Sepang International Circuit

Igual que ahir, els pilots de MotoGP s’han de trobat amb la pista humida després de la pluja caiguda per la nit. Però amb el sol de Malàisia el Circuit de Sepang s’ha assecat ràpid i abans del migdia, els Pilots de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing han pogut pujar a les seves motocicletes per continuar treballant.

Tito Rabat ha tornat a millorar en lo que refereix al ritme de carrera i en comparació amb el primer dia, ha rodat casi un segon més ràpid de pas. El excampió de Moto2 ha treballat molt bé amb el seu equip tècnic i ha baixat més de mig segon el seu millor temps del primer dia,encara que s’ha quedat amb les ganes de millorar una mica al final. En l’última mitja hora ha muntat un nou pneumàtic Michelin per atacar el cronòmetre, quan la pluja ha començat a caure sobre el circuit.

Xavier Simeon també ha donat un gran pas endavant en el seu procés d’adaptació a la categoria MotoGP. El belga, seguint els consells del equip i del seu ‘coach’,RubénXaus,vamillorantelseuestiliavuihamilloratelseuritme en gairebé un segon i mig. El seu objectiu a la pretemporada no és donar un volta ràpida, si no aprendre el màxim possible per a quan el Campionat del Món comenci a Qatar el proper mes de març.

“Avui ha estat un dia per provar moltes coses en la configuració de la moto per a veure lo que ens agrada i el que no ens agrada. Estic content perquè tenim clar el camí a seguir i encara que hem fet poques voltes, totes han estat efectives i ens han permès provar el que volíem. Per demà, si aquesta nit no plou, la intenció és sortir aviat per millorar la volta ràpida, perquè la veritat és que estic content amb el ritme que tenim i perqué estic fent els temps ràpids rodant en solitari. Haurà que concentrar-se per aprofitar al màxim l’últim dia i si tot va bé, m’agradaria fer una simulació de cursa “.

“Estic molt content perquè hem donat un pas endavant amb respecte ahir i fins i tot durant la tarda amb pneumàtics usat he pogut millorar. Cada vegada que surto a pista hem trobo millor amb la moto, cada vegada entenc millor els pneumàtics , vaig canviant la meva posició i poc a poc vaig pilotant mes al estil que requereix una MotoGP; aixecant la moto al més aviat possible i intentant frenar el més tard possible, però sense exagerar. Al final del dia hem muntat un pneumàtic tou per intentar millorar el temps i, sincerament, esperava millorar una mica més. Especialment veient com els altres pilots amb un nou pneumàtic donavan un gran salt. Esperava poder fer-ho lo mateix, però està clar que encara me quedan moltes coses per apendre.”

28/01/18 Sepang MotoGP Test – Sepang International Circuit

L’equip Reale Avintia Racing ha començat avui la temporada 2018 al Circuit Internacional de Sepang a Malàisia. Tito Rabat i Xavi Simeon han sortit per primera vegada a pista amb pneumàtics Michelin d’aigua després que una tempesta deixés l’asfalt mullat abans de començar el primer test de l’any. Amb la humitat que hi ha a Sepang i el nou asfalt, la pista ha trigat a assecar-se i els pilots de MotoGP no han pogut gaudir d’un circuit completament sec fins després de dinar.

Tito Rabat ha treballat durant tot el dia amb l’opció de pneumàtics més durs dels que Michelin ha portat per aquests entrenaments. L’objectiu de l’equip i del pilot era recuperar les sensacions després de dos mesos sense pujar-se en la seva Ducati. Quan ha muntat els pneumàtics tous en l’última hora del test, el pilot del Reale Avintia immediatament ha millorat els seus temps, però en aquesta mateixa tanda ha patit una caiguda en el revolt 5 i el dia ha acabat per a ell. Una llàstima perquè les sensacions eren molt bones i es veia capaç de millorar, tal com han fet la resta de pilots que han pogut rodar fins al final. Així i demà espera fer un altre pas i seguir amb la seva bona evolució sobre la Ducati Desmosedici GP17.

Per a Xavier Simeon la primera jornada a Malàisia ha estat positiva. Després de només quatre dies de test a València i Jerez, el belga s’ha concentrat a recuperar les sensacions amb la moto per seguir adaptant-se a la categoria reina. A cada sortida ha millorar el seu ritme i la millor notícia és que el seu espatlla ha aguantat perfectament les 47 voltes que ha completat el primer dia.

“Estic molt content d’haver començat la temporada i m’he sentit molt bé sobre la moto. Hem treballat tot el dia amb el pneumàtic del darrere mig i al final hem posat els tou i les sensacions han millorat moltíssim. El problema és que no tenim suficients pneumàtics dels que ens van bé i haurem de gestionar bastant bé en els propers dos dies. Ha estat una pena que quan hem començat a rodar més ràpid ens hem caigut i no he pogut millorar una miqueta més. Però 2’00 després de tot l’hivern sense pujar a la moto està força bé i estic molt content. La caiguda a estat ximple, perquè he entrat massa ràpid en un revolt, però per demà estic tranquil perquè he vist que puc anar ràpid i em sento molt bé amb la moto “.

“M’he trobat força bé, però és cert que m’ha costat acostumar-me de nou a la moto en una pista que és molt diferent a València i Jerez. Però en general crec que hem fet un bon pas, hem treballat tot el dia amb els mateixos pneumàtics i hem muntat un joc nou a falta d’una hora i mitja, però encara no he pogut millorar, les sensacions han estat positives i avui ha anat molt millor del que s’esperava. Demà espero començar des de la base que avui hem creat i millorar una mica més. A deu minuts del final, quan nosaltres havíem parat, tothom ha baixat els temps, però nosaltres no estem ara en aquest punt. L’important de moment és entendre tot, progressar i no cometre errades. Després de tants anys a Moto2 he de canviar moltes coses, però cada volta que dono estic més còmode. També estic content perquè he treballat molt dur aquest hivern perquè la meva espatlla no em molestés i avui no m’ha donat cap problema.”
