The Japan GP was a complicated GP for the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders.

On the one hand, Karel Abraham crossed the finish line 18º so he could not score any points as he was entering outside the Top-15.

On the other hand, Tito Rabat could not race the GP of Japan due to the inflammation of his right hand as a result of an incident on Saturday that did not allow the Spanish rider from facing the race with guarantees.

In addition, the penalty for the use of an eighth engine in this season would force him to start from the pit lane. Tito decided not to risk in order to be in good condition in the GPs of Australia and Malaysia that are held from October 25 to 27 and November 1 to 3 respectively.

“It has been a difficult race although the meteorological conditions have been quite favorable. I had a problem at the beginning and I got last. I had some problems that made it more difficult to overtake riders, however I was able to overtake three. We have to improve in the first laps so we don’t waste much time. Finally, in this race there have been only been two crash which is rare and we were not able to win more positions. “

El de Japón fue un GP complicado para los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team.

Por una parte, Karel Abraham cruzó la linea de meta 18º y, por ende, no pudo puntuar al entrar fuera del Top-15.

Por otra parte, Tito Rabat, fue baja para la carrera del GP de Japón debido a la inflamación de su mano derecha como consecuencia de una salida de pista en la jornada del sábado que impidió al piloto español afrontar con garantías la carrera.

Además la penalización por el uso de un octavo motor en esta campaña le obligaba a salir desde el pit lane. Tito decidió no arriesgar para poder estar en buenas condiciones en los GP de Australia y Malasia que se disputan del 25 al 27 de octubre y del 1 al 3 de noviembre respectivamente.

“Ha sido una carrera difícil aunque las condiciones meterologicas han sido bastante favorables. Tuve un problema al principio y me puse último. Tuve unos problemas que hicieron que fuese más difícil adelantar pilotos, no obstante he podido superar a tres. Tenemos que mejorar en las primeras vueltas para no perder tanto tiempo. Finalmente, en esta carrera solo han habido dos caidas lo cual es raro y nos ha perjudicado porque no hemos podido ganar puestos.”

After the phenomenal 8th place achieved back in Thai GP, the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 Italian rider arrives with high motivation in Motegi, where the first race of the overseas will be hold.

The rider and the team hope to keep the high level performed in the previous races and fight for the Top15 until the end of the year.

“We start the overseas, three races in a row. Now we are in Motegi, a track that I really like, narrow, with slow, flowing corner and hard braking points. I’m motivated after the great results in Thailand, the goal here is to make sure we are in good shape and we’ll try to make it better because we do have the potential to be in Top-10 in every session. It is important to keep focused and give our best all weekend long.”

The Reale Avintia Racing Team riders face this weekend in Motegi (Japan) the first out of three races of the overseas before heading to Australia and Malaysia before the season comes to an end in Valencia by November time.

Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham arrive in Japan eager to forget the poor balance they got back in Thailand where they could not go any further tan 17th and 19th respectively.

“We are in Motegi, a track that I like. The Ducati should suit it so hopefully we can take benefit from it as I get here excited, happy and really looking forward to start.”

“This is a track that I really like, here I got my first podium in Moto2 so I have good memories here. It’s a shame that it seems like we won’t have great weather this weekend though.”

Después del brillante octavo puesto conseguido en el anterior GP de Tailandia, el piloto italiano del Reale Avintia Arizona 77 llega con la moral alta a Motegi, donde se llevará a cabo la primera de las tres carreras que conformarán la gira asiática.

Tanto el piloto como el equipo esperan poder mantener el alto nivel demostrado en las últimas pruebas y luchar por posiciones de puntos regularmente hasta final de año.

“Comenzamos la gira con tres carreras seguidas. Ahora estamos en Motegi, una pista que me gusta mucho, técnica, estrecha, con curvas lentas y frenadas grandes. Estoy motivado después del gran resultado de Tailandia, el objetivo aquí es ratificar el buen estado de forma e intentar hacerlo aun mejor porque tenemos potencial para estar en el Top-10 en todas las sesiones. Es importante mantenernos concentrados y dar el 100% todo el fin de semana.”

Los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team encaran este fin de semana en Motegi (Japón) la primera de las tres carreras que conformarán a gira asiática que completarán las carreras de Australia y Malasia antes de poner punto y final a la temporada en Valencia el próximo 17 de noviembre.
Tito Rabat y Karel Abraham llegan a Japón con ganas de resarcirse del pobre balance que sacaron en el anterior GP de Tailandia donde no pudieron superar la 17ª y 19ª posición respectivamente.

“Estamos en Motegi, un circuito que me gusta. La Ducati aquí, a priori, debería ir bien así ojalá podamos sacar provecho de ello porque llego ilusionado, contento y con muchas ganas.”

“Este es un circuito que me gusta, aquí conseguí mi primer podio de Moto2 y guardo muy buenos recuerdos. Desafortunadamente, se espera mala meteorología.”

The Thai GP is done and dusted for the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders that suffered more than expected in the challenging Asian race and didn’t manage to get in points positions.

On one hand, Tito Rabat suffered with the set up of the bike, he arrived a few seconds from the top15 and couldn’t go any further than 17th. On the other hand, Karel Abraham suffered with the heat and humidity of Buriram and had his own fight with Jorge Lorenzo but with no final reward. The next race will be hold in Japan in two weeks time.

“It was a difficult weekend. We suffered to find a good setup for the bike and the hard conditions of the race track did not help. We will try to do better in Japan.”

“It was a very difficult weekend as we expected. I’ve been riding in a group with Lorenzo and Shyarin, like 10 seconds behind Tito. Unfortunately, there wasn’t many crashes and that di not help us. I was with Lorenzo for most of the race until I had a problem with the bike, I had to release the throttle and then he went away and I was not able to catch him again even if I was recovering. I finished 19th but is has been a hard one, with a lot of heat and I ended with no energy.”

El GP de Tailandia ya es historia para los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team que han sufrido más de lo esperado en la desafiante cita asiática y no han conseguido entrar en posiciones de puntos.

Por una parte, Tito Rabat ha sufrido con la configuración de la moto, se ha quedado a pocos segundos de las posiciones de puntos y solo ha podido ser 17º. Por otra parte, Karel Abraham ha sufrido con el calor y la humedad en Buriram y ha mantenido su particular batalla con Jorge Lorenzo aunque sin recompensa final. La próxima cita será dentro de dos semanas con motivo del GP de Japón.

“Ha sido un fin de semana complicado. Hemos sufrido para encontrar una buena puesta a punto para la moto y las duras condiciones de este circuito no me han ayudado. Intentaremos hacerlo mejor en Japón en dos semanas.”

“Ha sido una carrera muy difícil, tal y como esperábamos. He estado rodando en un grupo con Lorenzo y Shyarin, unos 10 segundos por detrás de Tito Rabat. Por desgracia, tampoco ha habido muchos abandonos de otros pilotos, lo cual nos ha perjudicado. He estado casi todo el tiempo con Lorenzo hasta que he tenido un problema de vibraciones con la moto y he tenido que cortar gas y se me ha escapado y, aunque he ido recuperando, no he sido capaz de volver a alcanzarle. He acabado 19 pero es que ha sido una carrera muy difícil, con mucho calor y he acabado muy fatigado.”

The Reale Avintia Arizona 77’s Italian rider crossed the finish line in a brilliant 8th position in ThaiGP, achieving then his best result in the moto3 world championship as he improved the 11th from Misano.

Nepa rode most of the race with the front group inside the Top15 performing in a high level all race long. From the second part of the race on, the front riders fastened the pace and the group broke. Nepa found himself in a small group where he fought for Top10 positions until last lap.

The Italian rider will travel to the Japanese GP (October 18-20th) with high motivation to kick off three race weekends in a row.

“It’s been a very positive weekend, specially the race as it was the most beautiful so far. It was a hard race because of the heat and the conditions. Riding in such a big group is very difficult to manage it all but I keep strong there. Shame about a contact I had at mid race that make me lose the front guys but I’m very happy with the performance, I did not expect be on first group. Thanks to the team that always help me and never surrender. Now its time to keep in this way and be focused for Japanese GP. Thanks to the sponsor, to my family and all who help me”.

El piloto italiano del Reale Avintia Arizona 77 ha cruzado meta en una brillante 8ª posición en la carrera de Tailandia, consiguiendo así su mejor resultado en el Mundial de Moto3 al mejorar el 11º conseguido en la carrera de Misano.

Nepa ha rodado gran parte de la carrera con el grupo de cabeza dentro de las 15 primeras posiciones mostrando un alto nivel a lo largo de la prueba. A partir de la segunda mitad de carrera, los pilotos delanteros han aumentado el ritmo y el grupo se ha roto. Nepa se ha establecido en un reducido grupo de pilotos donde ha luchado por posiciones de Top10 hasta la última vuelta.

El italiano viajará con una gran motivación al GP de Japón, prueba que se disputará del 18 al 20 de este mes y que dará inicio a tres fines de semana de competición consecutivos.

“Ha sido un fin de semana muy positivo, sobre todo por la carrera ya que ha sido la más bonita hasta la fecha. Ha sido una carrera difícil por el calor y las condiciones. Rodando en un grupo tan grande es muy complicado gestionarlo todo pero me he mantenido ahí. Lástima de un toque que he tenido a mitad de carrera que me ha hecho perder el contacto con el grupo de cabeza pero estoy muy contento con el rendimiento, no me esperaba estar con el primer grupo. Gracias al equipo que siempre me ayuda y nunca se rinde. Ahora toca seguir en esta dirección y concentrarse para Japón. Gracias a los patrocinadores, a mi familia y a todos los que me ayudan.”
