The motorcycling championship will hold the 15th round of the calendar this weekend in the Chang International Circuit (Thailand), the first out of four races that will be held during this year’s overseas races.

This will be the second time that MotoGP visits the Chang racetrack after its debut last year. The track has a length of 4.554km, 12 turns (5 to left and 7 to the right) and two long straights. It is placed 400km away from the capital of the country, Bangkok, really close to Buriram city.

The Moto3 race is set to 22 laps (100.2km) under high temperatures and humidity. The Reale Avintia Racing Team riders arrive motivated and excited to be back on the Thai track. Tito Rabat, on the one hand, has the aim to be back on the points, as he did in the last few races. Karel Abraham, on the other hand, has already been training regularly after his injury and his illness so he arrives in good shape in a circuit he likes.

“I’m really excited to get the Thai GP started. It is a very fast track, full of long straights for Moto3, so the slipstream will be very important here. I’m really excited to start and I can’t wait to start working.”

“The Buriram circuit is very beautiful, I had the chance to race here there first time that MotoGP arrived in this place last year. As usually, we’ll try our best.”

El Mundial de Motociclismo disputará este fin de semana la 15ª prueba del campeonato en el Circuito Internacional de Chang (Tailandia), la primera de las cuatro carreras que conformarán la gira asiática de este 2019.

Esta será la segunda ocasión que MotoGP visite el trazado de Chang después de su debut en la competición el año pasado. El circuito tiene una longitud total de 4.554km, con un total de 12 curvas (5 a la izquierda y 7 a la derecha) y dos larguísimas rectas. Se encuentra situado a algo más de 400km de la capital del país, Bangkok, muy cerca de la ciudad de Buriram.

La carrera de MotoGP se disputará a un total de 26 giros (128 km) bajo condiciones de altas temperaturas y un elevado nivel de humedad. Los pilotos del Reale Avinia Racing Team llegan motivados y deseosos de salir a la pista tailandesa. Tito Rabat, por su parte, tiene como objetivo volver a entrar en los puntos como ya viene haciendo en las últimas carreras. Por otra parte, Karel Abraham, que ya ha comenzado a entrenar con normalidad después de su lesión y haber estado enfermo, llega en buen estado de forma a un circuito que le gusta.

“Tengo muchas ganas de que dé comienzo el GP de Tailandia. El diseño del circuito de Chang me gusta mucho, es muy bonito, rápido y me recuerda al de Argentina. Lo único malo suele ser siempre el calor y la humedad ya que en Tailandia suelen ser dos factores a tener en cuenta. Veremos qué meteorología nos encontramos a lo largo del fin de semana.”

The Moto3 race is set to 22 laps (100.2km) under high temperatures and humidity. The Reale Avintia Arizona 77 rider, Stefano Nepa, arrives in a circuit that is not new for him and with charged batteries after Aragon race where he did not manage to get in points as he did in Misano.

“We are ready por the race. It is a very fast track, full of long straights for Moto3, so the slipstream will be very important here. I’m really excited to start and I can’t wait to start working.”

Esta será la segunda ocasión que MotoGP visite el trazado de Chang después de su debut en la competición el año pasado. El circuito tiene una longitud total de 4.554km, con un total de 12 curvas (5 a la izquierda y 7 a la derecha) y dos larguísimas rectas. Se encuentra situado a algo más de 400km de la capital del país, Bangkok, muy cerca de la ciudad de Buriram.

La carrera de Moto3 se disputará a un total de 22 giros (100.2km) bajo condiciones de altas temperaturas y un elevado nivel de humedad. Stefano Nepa, piloto del Reale Avintia Arizona 77, llega a un circuito que no es nuevo para él y con las baterías cargadas después de la carrera de Aragón en la que, a diferencia de Misano, no logró alcanzar las posiciones de puntos.

“Estamos listos para la carrera. Es un circuito muy rápido, con muchas rectas largas para la Moto3, con lo cual el rebufo será muy importante aquí. Tengo muchas ganas y no veo la hora de comenzar a trabajar.”

The Reale Avintia Arizona 77 team is pleased to announce the agreement reached with the lastest Spanish talent, Carlos Tatay, to race in the Moto3 World Championship the next two seasons.
With this agreement, Raúl Romero’s team, ensures one of the emerging talents of motorcycling, and his name was already in the wish list of several Moto3 World Championship teams. Carlos Tatay will complete his maiden Moto3 season in a structure with huge experience in the MotoGP World Championship, and will follow the footsteps of great riders such as Maverick Viñales, Tito Rabat, Scott Redding or Aleix Espargaró, who also made their debut in the championship with the Spanish team.
The 16 year old, Valencian rider is the 2019 Red Bull Rookies Cup Champion, following a superb dominating season, winning four races and achieving a total of nine podiums in ten rounds. Tatay won the title in Misano, with two races left to finish the championship.
In Misano he also signed the contract with Esponsorama to compete with KTM for the next two seasons and, as a prize, Tatay got a wild card entry with Andreas Pérez 77 Foundation team on last weekend Moto3 Aragon Grand Prix. In his second appearance in the World Championship, the Spanish rider qualified in front row and, on Sunday’s race, he fought his way in the leading group and eventually finished very close to the ‘Top 10’. A good sign of Tatay’s potential in Moto3.

El equipo Reale Avintia Arizona 77 tiene el placer de anunciar el acuerdo alcanzado con el jovencísimo Carlos Tatay, para disputar el Campeonato del Mundo de Moto3 las dos próximas temporadas. 

Con este acuerdo, la estructura de Raúl Romero, se hace uno de los talentos emergentes del motociclismo, que ya había despertado el interés de varios equipos mundialistas. Carlos Tatay disputará su primera temporada en una estructura de sobrada experiencia en el Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP, y seguirá los pasos de grandes pilotos como Maverick Viñales, Tito Rabat, Scott Redding o Aleix Espargaró, que también llegaron al campeonato de la mano del equipo español. 

Con tan solo 16 años, el valenciano es el flamante Campeón de la Red Bull Rookies Cup, donde ha dominado con mano de hierro. Tatay ha logrado un total de nueve podios en diez carreras y, en cuatro, ha subido a los más alto del cajón. Con estos números se alzó con el título en Misano, a falta de dos pruebas para la conclusión del certamen. 

En Misano también firmó el contrato con Esponsorama para competir con KTM las dos próximas temporadas y, como premio, Tatay salió como invitado en el Gran Premio de Aragón de Moto3 disputado el fin de semana pasado, con el equipo de la Fundación Andreas Pérez 77. En su segunda aparición en el Mundial, el piloto de Alaquàs brilló el sábado, clasificando tercero para la carrera y, el domingo, rodó gran parte de la prueba en el grupo de cabeza para terminar muy cerca del ‘Top 10’. Un buen indicio del potencial de Tatay en Moto3.

The Reale Avintia Racing Team leaves the Motorland Aragón circuit after a learning weekend and satisfied with their own races.

On the one hand, Tito Rabat managed to recover a couple of positions (17th to 15th) and he got another point for the world standing despite the problems he had to face during the race.

On the other hand, Karel Abraham couldn’t score points but he believes he has done “a really good race” where he could fight with other riders and, even if he was not at 100% physically, he could fight with them until the end.

Next race will be held in Buriram (Thailand) from October the 4th to 6th where the 15th round of the season will be done.

“It was a similar race to Misano’s where we could defend, we gave our best and we leave strong for the following ones. Unfortunately, there’s always a problem, rather we have a mechanical problem and he start last or I touch somebody and go last and then I have to recover… Luckily I wasn’t last today. We need to learn how to manage the first part of the races because we have not much to win but a lot to lose so managing the first 3 or 4 laps of the race, with the help of electronics to have more grip at the beginning we should do a big step and be where we belong.”

“I think it has been a really good race even if we finished 18th and we did not get points. It is a shame but I think in this race has been very good because have been fighting, overtaking riders all the time and we had a good pace because the difference between the fastest and slowest laps where within a second, which is really positive. Obviously I am not happy that other riders did not crash but this is not usual and we could have been further. If we had done this race in Misano, we could have get some point for sure. I need to inspire, the last month I haven’t been able to train as I was injured and ill but now I must go back to my routine and work out to be stronger in Thailand.”

Stefano Nepa concluded Aragon GP out of Top20 after suffering more than expected in the Motorland circuit. The Italian rider, who got points in Misano, couldn’t go any further than 23rd after battling for the 17th.

Next race will be held in Buriram (Thailand) from October the 4th to 6th where the 15th round of the season will be done.


“It has not been a very good weekend because I haven’t been able to go fast with the bike, I didn’t get good feelings and unfortunately I couldn’t do more than 23rd. Even I tried all race long, from the second part of the race I did not have the rhythm to be with the group and that is something that we know can improve. In Thailand we’ll try other things to find good feelings with the motorbike in order to improve. Thanks to the team, the sponsors and my family. See you in Thailand.”

Stefano Nepa ha concluido la carrera del GP de Aragón fuera de los 20 primeros clasificados después de sufrir más de lo esperado en el circuito de Motorland. El piloto italiano, que venía de puntuar en Misano, solo ha podido ser 23º después de haber estado luchando con el grupo de la 17ª posición.

La siguiente carrera se celebrará en el circuito de Buriram (Tailandia) del 4 a 6 de octubre donde se celebrará la 15ª prueba del mundial de Moto3.

“Ha sido un fin de semana muy difícil porque no he conseguido ir rápido con la moto, no he tenido buenas sensaciones y por desgracia no he podido quedar más allá de la 23ª posición. A pesar de que lo he probado durante toda la carrera, a partir de la segunda mitad no tenía el ritmo para estar con el grupo y eso es algo en lo que sabeos que debemos mejorar. En Tailandia probaremos otras cosas para encontrar más sensaciones con la moto que permitan empujar más. Muchas gracias al equipo, a los sponsors y a mi familia. Nos vemos en Tailandia.”

Los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team se marcha del circuito de Motorland Aragón tras un fin de semana de mucho aprendizaje y satisfechos con sus respectivas carreras.

Por una parte, Tito Rabat ha sido capaz de remontar un par de posiciones (de 17º a 15º) para conseguir un nuevo punto para su casillero a pesar de los inconvenientes que se ha ido encontrando y a los que ha tenido que ir haciendo frente a lo largo de la carrera.

Por otra parte, Karel Abraham no ha conseguido llegar a los puntos pero asegura haber hecho una “muy buena carrera” en la que ha podido luchar contra otros pilotos y, a pesar de no estar al 100% físicamente, ha podido plantarles cara hasta el final de carrera.

La siguiente carrera se celebrará en el circuito de Buriram (Tailandia) del 4 a 6 de octubre donde se celebrará la 15ª prueba del mundial de Moto3.

“Ha sido una carrera como la de Misano en la que nos hemos defendido, hemos dado el do de pecho y salimos de aquí fuertes para la siguiente. Por desgracia siempre tiene que pasar algo, o tenemos un fallo mecánico y salimos últimos o me toco con alguien y me quedo último y luego tengo que remontar… Por suerte no he acabado la carrera último. Hay que saber gestionar las primeras partes de carreras porque tenemos mucho a ganar y mucho a perder, así que gestionando las primeras tres o cuatro primeras vueltas de carrera, ayudándome electrónicamente para tener más tracción al principio deberíamos pegar un salto y estar donde nos toca desde principio de carrera.”


“Creo que ha sido una muy buena carrera aunque hayamos acabado 18º y no hayamos conseguido puntos. Es una pena pero creo que está carrera ha estado muy bien porque hemos estado luchado, adelantando a pilotos a menudo y hemos tenido un ritmo muy bueno porque la diferencia de tiempos de vuelta durante la carrera está dentro del segundo de la primera a la última, lo cual es muy bueno. Evidentemente no me alegro de que no se hayan caído muchos pilotos pero si hubiese pasado, que es lo habitual, habríamos podido estar más adelante. Si hubiésemos hecho esta carrera en Misano habríamos conseguido puntuar seguro. Necesito volver a inspirarme, el último mes no he estado entrenando porque he estado enfermo así que ahora debo volver a mi rutina habitual para estar más fuertes en Tailandia.”
